We recommend that you stop eating foods with too much fat, sugar and other non nutritious substances; we all need to start eating healthier. We have noticed an improvement in health when eating habits are modified.

If you are like I just to be… (and that is another story) then you just Do Not eat healthy foods, period.
I used to eat sweets when I started feeling a bit anxious or nervous and while sugar will give you a mood boost, it offers no nutritional value whatsoever and hangs around to become fat. You are better off changing your eating habits helps reduce anxiety disorder by trying to eat a diet that is filled with vitamins and nutrients. Especially the B Vitamins.

The B Vitamins are great for you in many different ways. Vitamin B-12 is one of the best vitamins that you can take when you are trying to stave off anxiety and depression. This vitamin is found in a variety of different vegetables. Zinc and potassium are other nutrients that many people who suffer from depression are lacking.

The first thing that you should do when you are trying to come up with ways to change you eating habits to reduce your anxiety disorder is to get rid of simple carbohydrates. These do not offer you proper nutrients and are considered wasted calories.

We recommend that you eat proteins and foods that are rich in vitamins. Whole grains and nuts can be included in your diet as well. You need these fibers as a way to stay fit. Drink plenty of water each day as well and eliminate the soda or other sweetened drinks.

We really are what we consume. Don’t eating junk food all of the time. Stay away from high fat and high cholesterol foods.

There are risks and side effects when consuming anxiety drugs. The side effects of anxiety pills are varied. In this post, we only give you an example of a risk but in our guide “Stop Anxiety Attacks” we review this topic further.

The side effects of anxiety pills need careful evaluation and review before you commit to this type of treatment. Anxiety drugs or anxiety pills can relieve some of the symptoms of anxiety, but it doesn’t cure the underlying problem and it’s usually not a long-term solution. Did you know that Anxiety medications also come with side effects and safety concerns?

A side effects of anxiety pills is the risk of addiction. In order to decide if any drugs (pills) is right for you, it is very important to compare drug benefits against the setbacks (review all positives and negatives). Once you’ve reviewed your options, including other therapies and lifestyle changes that may help, you can make a wise decision.

You can find more information on side effects of anxiety pills in this article at helpguide.org.

The article mentions an exapmle of side effects of anti-anxiety drugs and
we quote (from the article):

“Anti-anxiety drugs like benzodiazepines work by reducing brain activity. Understandably, this leads to side effects beyond anxiety relief.

The higher the dose, the more pronounced these side effects typically are. But some people feel sleepy, foggy, and uncoordinated even on low doses of benzodiazepines, which can cause problems with work, school, or everyday activities such as driving. Some even feel a medication hangover the next day.

Because benzodiazepines are metabolized slowly, the medication can build up in the body when used over longer periods of time. The result is oversedation. People who are oversedated may look like they’re drunk. ”

——-

As you can see on this one example, you really need to be careful when taking pills, prescription drugs, natural remedies for anxiety or any other treatment to stopping your anxiety attacks.

It is important that you immediately find professional help if experience an anxiety disorder.

Behavioral therapy for anxiety usually takes between 5 and 20 weekly sessions.

Cognitive-behavior therapy – As the name suggests, cognitive-behavioral therapy focuses on thoughts—or cognitions—in addition to behaviors.

Exposure therapy – In exposure therapy for anxiety disorder treatment, you confront your fears in a safe, controlled environment. Through repeated exposures, either in your imagination or in reality, to the feared object or situation, you gain a greater sense of control. As you face your fear without being harmed, your anxiety gradually diminishes.

Being a responsible parent requires recognition of problems, no matter how big or small it is. The teenager stage is the hardest stage of all. Today’s adolescents are in a higher level of stress compared to teens of the past era due to the low coping mechanism they have acquired. They have problems at school, there is peer pressure or intimidation, self-insecurities plus much more.

Today’s teens are having differernt pressures from many areas in there young lifes and this bring about a lot of stress. Worrying is inevitable. Adolescents see the world in a different way than adults, this makes things and ideas totally confusing to them. Parental support and care is of the utmost importance for your teen to withstand these factors in life. If the parent ignores subtle difference in behavior in their child and does not address these issues quickly, then, anxiety symptoms disorders will happen.

A blog post that appears at scienceblog.com, states the following “…study of 485 Iowa adolescents over a 10-year period (1991-2001) found that early socioeconomic adversity experienced by children contributes to poor mental health by the time they become teens — disrupting their successful transition into adulthood by endangering their social, academic and occupational attainment as young adults.”

Some of the obvious signs of anxiety problems are hopelessness, depression, and worthlessness. Problems concerning the mind will co-exist with the emotional status of the adolescent. Usually, anxiety symptoms disorders can be painful for the teen. The emotional problem are difficult to resolve. Most teens that need anxiety help will resolve into isolating himself or herself from the outside world.

These mental health problems can lead a future full of problems which may affect the entire family as well.
You will start experiencing conflict within the family, the teen dropping out of school and many more negative situations. You, as a parent, must be aware of your adolescent’s present status and emotional
behavior.

Find anxiety help when you see these anxiety problems occurring in your teen:

Overreaction on simple and immature things, has become deeply emotional and cries a lot, and is often angered by situations.

Feels guilty and worthless.

Keeps on worrying with a lot of things and is very anxious.

Did you know that childhood fear and childhood anxiety go together in making a children’s life that much complicated and troublesome. Here are some tips and solid anxiety help for you to be aware when coping with childhood anxiety.

Too many events in a child’s life can have tragic outcomes for a child. Your children can go into severe stressful mental health disorder at any stage in life depending on traumatic episodes or events occurred. Many reasons can be the cause of increased fear and anxiety in children even at a very young age. In order to have your children’s mental health free from any problems and worries, parents and guardians have to be responsible and provide proper care and support.

If you have any child experiencing anxiety attacks, then, as a parent, you can greatly help in your child’s coping mechanism when dealing with these tough subjects such as death, disasters and
violence.

One of the best ways to help the anxiety and panic attacks in a child is to closely listen to them. As a concerned parent of child that is experiencing anxiety, panic, stress and phobia’s you must learn about their concerns and tell them that safety should always be the priority. Encouraging your children to ask or share details of what they’re concerned about is a stepping stone for early engagement and elimination of fear and anxiety in a child.

As a parent, ask your children how they have become affected in certain tough situations such as death of a family, loss of family pet, and even loss of their friends, –you must explain why things are happening as such. Children, even at a very young age, can identify some of the tragedies that are occurring around them and it affects them greatly. They may choose to react to it or understand it according to their developmental stage.

There are several pointers in caring for childhood anxiety. There are Anxiety Disorder Symptoms and pointers that are very important to observe in children.

1. Always Ask. Do not be afraid to ask questions when talking to your children. It is important that you know how they feel and how they express themselves about the situation that have occurred. If there is a death in the family, never let your child go on silent because they could’ve been experiencing a certain unexplainable feeling that they can’t convey. This will be enclosed in their system and develop some kind of emotion which will become a frustration when they grow up.

2. Always Listen. It is not only important that you let the child talk but to let him speak. When you listen, you give your child the opportunity to be heard. Do not interrupt. Talk only when he is through then try to explain what is happening. Address his or her fears and how much are they affected regarding the situation. If you can’t answer their questions, it’s alright to tell them that you don’t know. The important thing is, you have given them the opportunity to air out how they feel.

3. Always Bring yourself to their level. When you talk to them, make sure to use words that they will be able to understand. Using technical words will just confuse them making it more impossible for the both of
you to communicate.

4. Always Know their fears and worries. Children tend to be frightened about monsters under their bed or inside their closets. Ask them what their fears are. Some of the topmost worries are because of school or with other children who might bully them around.

5. Always Give sufficient time. Time given to a child is more important than time given to your work or with peers. When a child lets you see drawings and plays, pay attention to how they have done it. This will give you glimpse on how they are handling life’s facts. Ask them about the picture and what were they thinking and how they are feeling while drawing it. This will help you clarify questions, misconceptions and will give you assurance about your child’s mental health.

You have most likely heard that you are what you eat. This is true when it comes to controlling your anxiety and depression. A good many people who are depressed feel this way because of the diet that they consume. If you are eating foods laden with fat, sugar and other non nutritious substances, stop and start eating healthier. You may notice a change in your mood just by eating the right foods.

One of the problems that many people today face is that they do not eat healthy foods. They tend to eat foods that are high in sugars and fats. While sugar will give you a mood boost, it offers no nutritional value whatsoever and hangs around to become fat. You are better off to eat a diet that is filled with vitamins and nutrients. Especially the B Vitamins.

The B Vitamins are a family of vitamins that are good for you in many different ways, especially when you are watching your mental health. Vitamin B-12 is one of the best vitamins that you can take when you are trying to stave off anxiety and depression. This vitamin is found in a variety of different vegetables. Zinc and potassium are other nutrients that many people who suffer from depression are lacking.

The first thing that you should do when you are trying to come up with a diet to help you with anxiety and depression is to get rid of the simple carbohydrates. These do not offer you proper nutrients and are considered wasted calories. Sure, it is okay to eat a candy or cake once in a while, but not all of the time. These will only end up sticking around in all the wrong places and rob your body of the really needed nutrients.

Start eating proteins and foods that are rich in the B vitamins. This includes vegetables and fruits. Whole grains and nuts can be included in your diet as well. You need these fibers as a way to stay fit. Drink plenty of water each day as well and eliminate the soda or other sweetened drinks. These are just liquid candy and do nothing to help you fight depression and anxiety. As a matter of fact, they work against it. By drinking 8 to 10 glasses of water each day, you are actually keeping your body cleansed and will give yourself the natural energy that you need.

You really are what you eat. By eating junk food all of the time, like fast food, you are bound to start feeling bad about yourself. These foods contain fats and processed chemicals that are just not good for you. If you start staying away from processed foods and eating foods that are good for you, such as fish, vegetables, fruits and whole grains, your body will react in same. Start treating your body well by providing it with the right fuel and you will get a healthy body – as well as a healthy mind, in return.

Social Anxiety Treatments for Children

Avoidance of social anxiety problems will significantly interfere with the quality of youngsters’ lives, often impairing their school performance and attendance, as well as their ability to socialize with peers and to develop and maintain relationships. The onset of Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD) peaks in adolescence when establishing and managing friendships independently is a crucial part of healthy development.

Avoidance keeps social anxiety disorder going. It prevents you from becoming more comfortable in social situations and learning how to cope.

Research supported by NIMH and by industry has shown that there are two effective forms of treatment available for social phobia: certain medications and a specific form of short-term psychotherapy called cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). Researchers in the field estimate that 75 to 90 percent of the visits to primary care physicians somehow have to do with stress. NLP and Hypnotherapy are natural methods that can be used to eliminate stress at the source.

CBT

CBT is a type of psychotherapy. People with social anxiety disorders are taught new ways of responding to situations that trigger fear and physical symptoms.[A] CBT is a method which helps you learn, very specifically, how to handle your anxiety symptoms differently, so that you get more of the life you want. That’s the kind of treatment you find in the self help materials available here. CBT is a form of therapy that has been successfully used to treat a wide variety of anxiety disorders. First, therapy helps individuals approach and subsequently overcome their fears by changing their unhelpful thought patterns.

Medications for Social Anxiety

Medications for this and other phobic disorders have been useful in two contexts. First, the minor tranquilizers or anxiolytics are excellent means of treating anxiety symptoms. Medications require relatively little effort on the part of the patient. There is the possibility of side effects, but these are usually easy to minimize.

The Social Anxiety problem = Fear

Fear can be a signal for us to pay attention. Yet, we can become immobilized by our fear if we fail to feel it and acknowledge it. Fear of symptoms can create a vicious cycle: as people with social phobia worry about experiencing the symptoms, the greater their chances of developing the symptoms. Fear of being criticized or embarrassed makes some people avoid certain ordinary social situations—like public speaking, performing, going to parties, eating in restaurants, writing in front of others, or using public restrooms. People with a social phobia feel so threatened by certain social situations that they either avoid them completely or suffer terribly when they cannot avoid them.

Can you define what is an anxiety attack? Can you see yourself going through an anxiety attack?

We surely don’t want you to go through the anxiety and panic attacks that are not letting you live a normal life without pills, natural drugs and or any other kinds of medication so that you can feel just a bit better.

Not my kind of advise. We are hoping that you enjoy this article.

You have suffered from anxiety attack, yes, you know it. You know the symptoms, your heart seems to be leaping out of your chest and you feel as though you are crawling out of your skin. Your skin feels cold and you are shaking. Your thoughts are basically a mumbo jumbo and you may even have trouble breathing or swallowing. You feel as though you are a prisoner of your mind, and let us be honest right now, … you are in an anxiety or panic prison.

We all at one point in our life, may suffer from an anxiety attack. Most folks who end up experiencing an anxiety attack wind up in the hospital emergency room, convinced that they are having a heart attack. Many of the anxiety attack symptoms are similar to that of a heart attack, although heart attacks do not generally present with heart palpitations. You will notice that something is wrong.

do you know that people feel little sympathy for those who have anxiety? People feel that they should just “snap out of it.” What most folks do not realize is that anxiety disorders cause anxiety attacks and they are real. You just can not snap out of an anxiety attack.

Each of us, have an internal protective mechanism to react in a certain way when we feel under a great deal of stress or face life threatening situations. At times the brain chemicals are unbalanced, giving us the sensation that there is something wrong, although in reality, there isn’t. Our bodies then search for a way to come up within something to justify the feelings we are having. People who have frequent anxiety attacks have obsessive compulsive disorder. In such cases, people will have intrusive thoughts that will bother them to the point that they repeat rituals. Frequent hand washing is one of the rituals often repeated by someone with obsessive compulsive disorder.

An anxiety attack is the way our bodies react to stress. The stress is usually something that occurs environmentally. Most people who have anxiety attacks do so after a stressful event in their lives. These attacks usually appears after the death of a loved one, divorce or loss of a job. Someone who suffers more than one anxiety attacks is habitually diagnosed with an anxiety disorder. The anxiety disorder can be a number of different disorders including general anxiety disorder, panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, social disorder or post-traumatic stress disorder. Most of the symptoms are similar to one another and the treatment for these symptoms is also very similar.

Anti-anxiety prescription drugs is usually combined with an anti-depressant as well as therapy to combat anxiety attacks. While anxiety attacks can be very scary and even crippling to a point, they can also be treated in a number of different ways, including medication, therapy and even herbal treatments. While an anxiety attack is not a life threatening illness, it can end up causing havoc in your life if you do not get some treatment.
