Since Mother Nature seems to be a little confused about our desire for WARM weather — not more snow, I figured I would post a newborn session from this past summer. Just so we could all remember what it was like, you know, back in the day, to go outside without a parka.

One question I get asked a lot in contact emails is, “Do you travel beyond Madison to photograph newborns/babies/families?” The answer is yes! I travel to photograph sweet wee ones all over Wisconsin, Illinois, and even as far as California

Meet sweet baby Levi from Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. I can only imagine how much he has grown since these images were taken, and I cannot wait for the opportunity to photograph him again.

Twinkies are back!

Photographing twins rules. There is something so beautiful and sweet about two little people having such a special connection. These little guys were so happy to be cuddled up with one another. And me, well I got to cuddle them for 4 whole hours. Now *that* was all kinds of awesome.

The sweet, beautiful baby from the belly image posted below (February 4th). Every newborn session includes (should you desire) family images as well. I love maternity sessions. Ok basically I love any session that involves a baby. Even when that baby is inside mama’s belly! This mama braved the chilly weather to get some beautiful urban maternity shots that represent where they lived when this baby was born (a common theme in my maternity sessions).

In my blogging hiatus (read procrastination), I realize I had forgotten to blog these sweet, beautiful twins photographed almost a year ago. Bad Anya! I simply adore photographing twins … ok, I will admit I just adore photographing babies, but there is something so sweet about two babies who have spent their entire lives together. Pure sweet innocent love and connection.

I know all the rage are sleeping photos, however I adore capturing open eyed babes at every session as well.

I love newborn sessions. Every single one of them. Some of my most treasured sessions, however, are the ones that involve all members of the family. Including pets. I am more than happy to include your pet in your newborn/baby/family sessions with me. All I ask is that your sweet fur baby be trained and respond to command. Like Jovie here. Who responded to me putting treats on my head. Or the top of my lens. Or tucked under my chin.
