Something that I have enjoyed seeing through to the end this past six weeks is a program
that is on a little late here in the UK about salespeople.

In short it was a reality show where salespeople were put through their paces on new tasks
each and every week to see who could be top dog.

Every week, whomever was in the bottom two had to sell themselves to the top dog to be kept
in the competition, whils the top dog got to choose who to save.

As you can imagine in this competitive series, there was some tactical voting and one particular
person was actually in the bottom two every single week. How amazing is that?

For “tactical reasons” the top dog each week (which happened to be the same person for four of
those weeks) chose to keep this same guy in the show.

On the week he was not top dog, the lady who was, also chose to keep in the guy (again for
tactical reasons).

So on Thursday night this past week, my wife and I settled down around 10:45pm to watch the final
where the two running top dogs had made it into the final along with this other guy who had
been hanging on by the thread of his teeth each week.

He had confessed on many occasions that he should no longer be in the competition. Even though
he was shot to pieces by the end, he kept trying (in between killing himself almost) to come
up with new ways to compete.

I would imagine you have guessed the outcome by now?

He came from behind on the very last day and actually won the competition, taking home a nice
£80,000.00 or $150K approx.

The moral to this story is plain for all to see. Just never give up until you have no choice
in the matter. This guy almost walked on numerous occasions, and was nearly voted out all the
other times. But by sheer persistence, some luck (we all need a little of this, although you
could argue we make our own), and the willingness to keep going, he made it to the end and
he won the show.

Why am I telling you this?

Simply because I had an email this week where someone outright asked me if this was all just
a scam and not worth bothering with.

I took some time to reply, because I wanted to give a full and honest account of this business,

Due to the hard economic crisis of today, including the lack of jobs and the continuous layoffs from companies in our Credit Crunch era, people from all over the globe look toward the Internet to solve their problems and help them provide the financial independence they never could acheive from their offline occupations.

At this point, even survival looks comforting when compared to the real world of employment.

Their thinking is that if they can establish their own online businesses, they will be the ones
in charge of their own destiny and working toward making themselves financially independent, not
stuffing someone else pockets.

The issue is that many of the online gurus tell them that people are doing it pretty easily, so they fall into the trap of thinking, �??If they can do it, I can do it too!�??

There is nothing wrong with this can do attitude, but it actually requires effort.

However, many people don�??t realize when they get started online that it is not as easy as many of the gurus say it is. They don�??t realize that you need a domain, dedicated web hosting, reliable autoresponders, and a product or service to sell, good training and advice, a place to network with others and build relationships, affiliate partners and learn all the essential skills.

And that�??s just for starters! (Although one great monthly membership I recommend that will deliver a large chunk of what you need can be found at MyTurboAdvice.com)

Even if you have all that, you�??ll still need to get people to your web page to consider your product or service, and at the very least, get them to sign up to your list so you can follow up with them until you gain the sale.

In other words, you�??ll need traffic, essentially, targeted traffic to visit your web page continuously if you are going to gain the sales and the financial independence you desire online.

This will need some working and some inside knowledge. But with the right insight, effort and action, anyone really can build an online business.

To increase your online profits and maximise sales, you should recruit and gain as many
affiliates as you possibly can in order that they promote your products to more people
than you could ever reach by yourself.

An even better approach is to recruit as many super affiliates as you can to your affiliate
force, as these super affiliates will not only have the resources and knowledge to get the
most out of their marketing campaigns, but they�??ll also likely have sizable lists to promote your
products to, thereby enabling you to gain more sales of your product quickly.

However, finding these super affiliates is not always easy, especially if you are relatively
new to the Internet marketing arena. Fortunately for you, there are some established ways to help
find and recruit super affiliates into your affiliate base.

One such way to find super affiliates is by using the search engines. By inputting keywords that
relate to your niche, you can see who has high rankings for those keywords. It�??s likely the
owners of those sites will be established marketers and be prime candidates to become great
affiliates for your affiliate program.

If you know of a competing affiliate product in ClickBank, you can type in the hop URL link
for that product into your search engine and find affiliates who are already promoting a similar
product. If you then correctly word your email to potential affiliates in regard to your product
(especially if the product is better and perhaps pays a high commission), you could build a super
list in double quick time.

You can also use the PPC listings on the side of the page to help you find potential super
affiliates. The owners of the sites that have those listings must be earning profitable
results from such promotions to continue paying for those listings. As a result, you should
also contact them in an effort to have them join your affiliate sales force.

If you get your metrics right from the start, then paying for your traffic need not be such a big issue for your business model.

We will keep it simple in this example, but I want to show you how you can actually build a very good business on the Internet using paid for traffic.

The reason most people shy away from this is that they think they will lose money. In this example, I will prove to you that getting your metrics right at the start will deliver more good results for you.

Provided you have your business set up in the right way, you can grow a very successful business in a relatively low amount of time.

Let us take industry wide averages in our working example and say that we convert our sales at only 2% on the sales page from PAID traffic. This means that you typically will pre-qualify to a point before they get to your site.

We are using Pay Per Click, like Google Adwords for our sample, but you can use other means if you get the metrics right.

We are going to pay $0.75cents per click to our site. Our front end product sells for just $29.95 and we then have an up-sell for $37. We put our front end buyers into our continuity program at $29.95 per month.

So in our paid for traffic, we want to average 100 sales per month to our front end product. Our cost per click is $0.75, and our conversion on the sales page is 2%. In order to get 100 sales, we need to show that page to 5,000 people. In other words, 5,000 clicks. Our cost would be $3,750 which we pay a couple of weeks in arrears if we use Google Adwords.

We know that this will bring us 100 sales (from our testing). 100 Sales at $29.95 equals $2,995 in income, minus a 5% processing fee, equals net turnover of $2,845.25

In testing, our up-sell converts at only 25% (you would need to test this), but it can be higher than 30% if it is relative to your main product and not too much higher in cost. Do not go for a big ticket sale at this point (this is what your Autoresponder series is for).

25 people are going to purchase our up-sell at $37, this equals $925 or 878.75 net. We now have a combined net sales value of $3,724.00 with our advertising spend at $3,750.00 we make a net loss up to this point of $26.

Remember that our continuity program will sell for $29.95 per month. Even if you had a poor drop- out rate of 50% before 1st month billing, you would still make $1422.63 net from that month�??s continuity membership.

Therefore you make a $1,396.63 profit.

Provided they stay more than one month, you make more profit. The average stay in continuity programs is 3-6 months. Can you see how effective this model could become?

Plus, you would be building a qualified list of buyers who you can cross promote other products to including big ticket items.

Even if you only sell a $297 big ticket item, and you convert only 5% of the initial buyers, that would add a further $1410.00 net to your monthly bottom line.

So using paid for traffic, you can build a monthly healthy profit in your business without the need for affiliates or joint venture partners. By bringing in these people as well, you stand to make even larger gains.
