How To Install Android Market On Kindle Fire [Tutorial]

Android Market is not available officially on the newly released Kindle Fire. Since Amazon released the source code for the Fire, however, the device had been rooted making it possible to add it anyway. Follow our step-by-step instructions and you’ll be well on your way to browsing the Market then installing apps and games right on your device!

Before we begin we would like to say the process is complex and not for the casual computer user. Rooting the device, moving and installing files, and installing a third party alternate launcher will be necessary. Read the entire instructions before you begin to determine if you can complete the entire process.
If you are ready to proceed then we can start. Make sure to root your Kindle Fire; we posted a friendly guide that guides you through the process. Once your device is rooted, come back to this page. It’s okay. We’ll wait.

Rooted? Great! Now download the following four files:

GoogleServicesFramework.apk (Download Link)
Vending.apk (Download Link)
Root Explorer App (Download Link) While this app is $3.99, you may try to find an alternative, as long as it allows you to change read only/read-write permissions.
Go Launcher EX (Download Link)

Now, on your Kindle device, navigate to Settings > Device. On this screen confirm that “Allow Installation of Application From Unknown Sources” is switched to the ON position.
Next, we’ll need to ensure you have activated Side Loading Apps on the Kindle Fire. You may have already accomplished this task when you first rooted your device but it’s always best to double check. If you’re sure they’re activated, skip ahead.
Do this on your PC by following these steps:

Navigate to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt
Enter the following command: echo 0×1949 >> “%USERPROFILE%\.android\adb_usb.ini
Press the Enter key
On your Kindle Fire, navigate to Settings > Applications
Check off the Unknown Sources box.

If you are using a Mac, follow these steps:

Connect your Kindle Fire to your Mac
Open the following file: ~/.android/adb_usb.ini with notepad
Navigate to end of the file and add the following value: 0×1949
Save and close the file
Stop the ADB server with the following command: adb kill-server
Run the following command: adb devices
Your Kindle Fire should now be listed

Now your Kindle Fire is ready to go through the installation process. Follow these steps:

Transfer the two .apk files you have downloaded earlier and place them somewhere on your Kindle Fire.
Run Root Explorer and find the .apk files on your Kindle
Choose and install the GoogleServiceFramework.apk
Once completed, long-press on the Vending.apk until a small popup window appears, then choose Move
Navigate to System > App
RO will be selected here; change this option to RW
Paste the Vending.apk in this folder
Long-press on the Vending.apk until a small popup window appears, then choose Permissions
Modify the permissions so they are identical to the other apps in the same folder (RW-R-R)

10. Reboot
Now we’ll need to install a third party launcher. Here are the final steps:

Transfer the Go Launcher .apk to your somewhere on your Kindle Fire
Run Root Explorer and find the .apk file on your Kindle
Choose and install Go Launcher
Press the Home button
Select the Go Launcher program
Congratulations! The Android Market is now on your Kindle Fire.

While the installation process may seem lengthy and tedious, you may find value in the long run by having a larger selection of apps. Not all of them are available; we’ll have to wait for the developers to make them compatible. As always, tinkering with the inner workings of any device requires at least basic computer know-how. ทั้งนี้ Tethered Jailbreak iOS 5.0.1 จะสามารถรองรับอุปกรณ์ดังต่อไปนี้คือ iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad, iPod Touch 3G และ iPod Touch 4G ในขณะที่อุปกรณ์ที่เป็น Dual Core CPU ทั้ง iPhone 4S และ iPad 2 จะยังไม่สามารถใช้งาน Jailbreak ได้ในเวลานี้นะครับ

7 ขั้นตอนการ Jailbreak แบบ Tethered สำหรับ iOS 5.0.1

3. อัพเดท iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch ของคุณเป็นเวอร์ชัน iOS 5.0.1

Android 4.0 is now official. Could smartphones get any thinner? That's going to be a challenge for competitors, because this Motorola Droid Razr is just 7.1mm thick. Too bad it won't be sporting the new Ice Cream Sandwich operating system until "early 2012."

Now available for pre-order, Lytro hits the streets in early 2012 at prices starting at $399.

This is not your daddy's boombox. These are aimed at dancers, but those hoofers had better be well-heeled because it'll cost them $229 for the Solo, $349 for the Duo and $499 for the Crew, with each containing progressively higher quality and bigger speakers. These fancy boomboxes let you adjust the tempo of a song without affecting its pitch, and they're smart enough to cue up similar songs to the one you're currently playing by analyzing your playlist.

Motorola latest entry in the fitness game is the MotoACTV, an Android-based fitness device it calls "the ultimate fusion of fitness and music." It'll track your running with GPS, account for your time, distance, speed and calories burned and play your favorite songs all the while. It can even answer your phone and receive text messages. Rolling out Nov. 6, it'll sell for $249 for an 8GB model and $299 for 16GB.

หลังจาก iPhone 4s เปิดตัวไปก็พบว่าหน้าตาและรูปร่างต่างๆแทบจะเหมือนกับตัว iPhone 4 เลยทีเดียว แล้วคราวนี้เราจะรู้ได้อย่างไรว่า เจ้าเครื่องที่เรากำลังจะซื้ออยู่นี้ไม่ได้ถูกย้อมแมวมาขาย เพราะเนื่องจากรูปลักษณ์ภายนอกที่เหมือนกัน แต่ก็ยังมีข้อสังเกตให้เราได้ใช้ในการตรวจสอบอยู่นิดหน่อยครับไปดูรูปประกอบกันครับ

ตัวบนสีขาว คือ iPhone 4s ครับ ดูได้จากด้านข้างจะมีแทบสีดำ ทั้งบนและล่าง ครับ และปุ่ม mute จะเลื่อนลงมานิดหน่อยครับ

และอีกอย่างหนึ่งคือดูว่ามี Siri หรือเปล่าครับ แต่อันหลังนี้เห็นเค้าว่ากันว่า มันนำมาใส่ใน iPhone 4 ได้แล้วครับ T-T

เนื่องจากอาหารที่มี Ascorbic Acid มีน้ำตาลอยู่ในปริมาณสูง จึงทำให้ยากต่อการแยก Ascorbic Acid ออกมา … ในปี 1933 หลายๆ คนคงรู้จักประเทศฮังการี่ดี ว่า ประเทศนี้กับพริกหยวกป่น (paprika) เป็นของคู่กัน คือ บ้านเรากินข้าวก็มีน้ำปลาพริกขี้หนู … ที่โน่นเค้าก็มีพริกหยวกป่นกับเกลือ ประมาณนั้น … วันนึงเมียเค้าก็ทำอาหารเย็นให้เค้า เค้าเกิดอาการไม่อยากกิน ก็เลยคิด เอ … ทำไงดี … เคาบอกว่างี้

ปัจจุบันเราเงินก็ไหลเข้า Hoffmann-La Roche กันอย่างไม่ขาดสาย เพราะนอกจากบริษัทนี้จะผลิตไวตามินซีออกมามากมาย (โรงงานในประเทศจีน) และจำได้ว่าเค้ายังเป็นเจ้าของกระบวนการผลิตไวตามินซีอีกด้วย

หาก ดูจากในภาพที่หลุดออกมาและข้อมูลจาก Spec ที่หลุด ผมว่ามันเปลี่ยนแปลงค่อนข้างน้อยไปหน่อย การออกแบบก็ยังไม่ฉีกแนวจากเดิมมากนัก แต่อย่างไรก็ตามข้อมูลที่หลุดออกมานี้นั้นยังไม่ใช่รายละเอียดทั้งหมด แต่ละรุ่นน่าจะมีจุดขายของตัวเองที่ชัดเจนมากกว่านี้ คาดว่าไม่น่าเกินสัก 1 เดือนของมี Spec เต็มๆออกมาให้ชมกันแน่นอนครับ

Apple iMac (spring 2011) review

The heaviest of heavyweights in the all-in-one field has seen another update, another batch of new internals to liven up the aging (but still classy) chassis. Apple unveiled its latest iMac refresh last week, surprising nobody with a new selection of AMD Radeon HD graphics cards, quad-core Intel Sandy Bridge processors, and solid-state storage options, all designed to do one thing: go faster.

These latest iMacs are quite naturally the speediest yet, as you'd expect, but with the right configuration they can be properly quick. Faster internals plus Thunderbolt ports on the outside turn what's supposed to be a family-friendly and eye-catching machine into an unassuming powerhouse that might just be quick enough for professional users. There's a more important question, though: is this $1,999 system the right choice for you?

Hardware

When Apple refreshed the iMac lineup last year we sampled the 21.5-inch model, svelte and sweet and a good choice for your average household. This time we moved up to the full 27-inch size, sporting a Core i5 processor that hums along at 3.1GHz. This is the processor you get if you opt for the pricier configuration of the bigger model and resist the urge to make any other customizations -- but cycle-hungry users can spend an extra $200 to step into a 3.4GHz Core i7.

Either way you get four cores, ours came paired with 4GB of 1333MHz, DDR3 RAM, installed as two 2GB DIMMs, and a 1TB 7,200RPM, SATA drive. Pushing pixels to that 27-inch, 2,560 x 1,440 resolution IPS panel is an AMD Radeon HD 6970M graphics card with 1GB of GDDR5 memory. That, thanks to the dual Thunderbolt ports tucked around the back, gives users a new-found ability to power a lot of external displays, in theory up to four thanks to the dual-channel nature of each port. We managed to get two additional displays lit up, but the LED-backlit monitor here is more than spacious enough for most use, and is certainly bright and gorgeous enough too -- but you knew that.

In fact you probably already know a lot about how this looks because, other than the faster internals, there isn't a lot new here. It's the same design that Apple's been hawking for a few years now. It still looks good, modern and understated styling matching your modern and understated life, but we're left wanting some updates. That SD card slot is still dangerously close to the DVD-ROM slot (which still won't accept Blu-ray discs), and the power button is still in exactly the right spot to confound new users and frustrate experienced ones as they accidentally hit it every time they reach to tilt the display back.

And we can't help but wish we could get a little more interactive with that hyper-glossy display, which makes for a heck of a good mirror when turned off. Apple of course has patents out for what looks like a touchable iMac and we're a bit disappointed they didn't come to fruition here -- though we would hate to smudge up that surface. There's still no matte option, but at least you can opt out of getting a Magic Mouse and substitute in a Magic Trackpad this time.

Oh, and there's a new FaceTime HD webcam stuck in the bezel, for those about to chat.

Performance

This machine has the higher of the two default configurations for the 27-incher, and we found it more than adequate for just about anything we threw at it. Obviously the gaming selection is still a little limited here, but Half-Life 2 and Portal 2 played full-res without a hitch. As you'd expect a 1080p clip loads quickly and cycles just fine -- we had five simultaneous 1080p clips going without a hint of frame drop on any.

In fact about the only the only thing that really caused a stutter was trying to edit a 4K video clip in REDCINE -- it was still workable, but we had to view it at half-res to get the preview render looking smooth. Hardly a deal-breaker. If you're looking for more synthetic benchmarks, we scored 8,465 in Geekbench, a 30-second 720p clip exported from iMovie in 20 seconds, and a 1080p clip took under a minute.

Wrap-up

So could a pro-level user, someone who spends their days in Photoshop or Premiere or even REDCINE be happy here? Yes, surprisingly, they could -- especially with the addition of an internal SSD (a $500 option for 256GB) and a high-speed external storage array connected via Thunderbolt. It wouldn't be our choice, and whether it makes sense to buy something like this versus a dedicated machine with an external display is another question entirely, but if you wanted to, you certainly could.

However, for a general consumer setup we can't help but think this is a bit too much. The vastly more affordable and still hugely capable 21.5-inch model makes a lot more sense for a lot more people. But, for ease of setup, aesthetic appeal, and overall performance and flexibility, the iMac is as hard to ignore as ever.

ผมได้ทดลองต่อ Blackberry Curve 8520 กับ PlayBook ผ่าน Blackberry Bridge และสามารถที่จะใช้งาน BBM ได้แล้ว ซึ่งก่อนหน้านี้ทาง Crackberry แจ้งว่า “มือถือ BlackBerry ที่ใช้งาน BBM ผ่าน Playbook ได้จะต้องรันผ่านระบบปฏิบัติการ BlackBerry os6 และต้องไปโหลด BBM เวอร์ชั่นล่าสุดก่อนใน Blackberry Beta zone เท่านั้น

Blackberry Bold 9900 นี้มีข่าวลือ ข่าวหลุดออกมามากมายก่อนจะเปิดตัวอย่างเป็นทางการ ซึ่ง Bold ใหม่ล่าสุดนี้มีรูปทรงคล้าย Bole 9000 รุ่นพิมพ์นิยม แต่เป็น Touch Pad และ หน้าจอทัชสกรีน ซึ่งขนาดรวม ๆ นั้นเกือบเท่ากันต้องวันกันแบบจะ ๆ อีกทีหนึ่ง แต่ที่แน่ ๆ บางกว่าเยอะมากครับ ในวีดีโอผมพูดผิดว่าใหญ่กว่า Bold 9000 แต่จริง ๆ แล้วตั้งใจพูดว่า Bold 9700 ครับ ต้องขออภัยด้วย

Bold 9900 นี้มาพร้อมกับ OS7 ที่เป็น OS ใหม่ล่าสุดของ RIM ที่แต่เดิมตั้งใจใช้ OS6.1 ที่คาดว่าจะวางจำหน่ายในบ้านเราประมาณเดือน 6 ปีนี้พร้อมด้วยราคาที่ถูกกว่าราคาเปิดตัวระดับสองหมื่นกว่าของ 9780 โดยแหล่งข่าวที่เชื่อถือได้กระซิบบอกมาว่าหมื่นกว่าบาท อาจแพงกว่าราคา 9780 ในปัจจุบันที่ลดลงมามากแล้ว ซึ่งถ้าให้เดาคงอยู่ หมื่นปลาย ๆ ครับ ยังไงรอการประกาอย่างเป็นทางการอีกครั้งหนึ่่ง

การทำงานโดยรวมของ Bole 9900 นั้น รวดเร็ว ตอบสนองดี กล้องชัด หน้าจอคม เรียกกว่าได้ประสบการณ์การใช้งานที่ต่างจาก Bold 9780 อย่างมากแม้ว่าหน้าตาของ UI จะเกือบเหมือนกันก็ตาม และ Bole 9900 นั้นจะเป็น Blackberry Smartphone รุ่นแรกที่วางจำหน่ายด้วย OS7 และ CPU Dual Core 1.2 gHz ครับ
