Yes, I am totally back. Been busy with a lot of things so before I try to be back on track, I just made sure that I already have the All New Anything for Free UI hosted of course on blogger. Also, you can see that I have a nice header and I need to say thanks to Background Labs for a nice graphic. Then I just use GIMP to enhance it all the more.

I just love the new interface and new features of blogger such as the pages. You would notice that I experimented some of its lovely features and I am so loving all of them! How about you, what is your most favorite Blogger feature?

I know this information was released last January 2008 but I am posting this "good-to-know" information because I have tried it myself and would like to inform other Filipino freelancers out there that there is an alternative way to withdraw your Paypal funds aside from credit cards or debit cards.

I love watching videos from youtube and even tudou. However, there are times that I got irritated when I see that buffering messages everytime I watch. Also, there are cases that when you want to watch your favorite youtube video again, it was already deleted. And now I though that it must be good to just download the video and save it on pc hardrive. Much more that I like the idea when my daughter had that mini MP3 / MP4 player.

If you will google internet, you will find a lot of software that will help you in downloading these file. But I choose CLIPNABBER since it is web-based tool so you do not need to download it.

To download the video as an FLV file, follow these steps:
1. Go to : http://clipnabber.com/ and then type the URL of the video link on the PASTE URL box.
2. Click NAB VIDEO button.
3. Right click on FLV DOWNLOAD LINK
4. Select SAVE TARGET AS
5. Select the drive or folder where you would like to save the file through the SAVE IN box.

6. Type the name of the file on the FILE NAME box.
7. Click SAVE.

Note: Use Internet Explorer.

Just wait until the file is fully downloaded. Then, you can watch the file using an FLV player. If you have other type of players or would like to use a gadget such as PSP or MP4 player to watch the movie, then you need to convert the file on the desired format.

I haven't been able to post frequently last month because my daughter is now a computer savvy person (by the way she is just about 3 years old.. hehehe). So my husband and I tried to find a way to divert her attention from the computer. We thought of buying her that kiddie laptop (just the cheap one that would cost around 2000 pesos). However, when we saw it, we thought that she will not enjoy such gadget because it doesn't have a colored display. So we try to look for an alternative and we found the Portable MP4/MP3/Game Player. Portable MulMP4/MP3/Game Player has 1GB internal memory and it also has an expandable memory so you can use an SD Card if you feel that 1GB is not enough. We used the SD card for my daughter's favorites movies such as Ice Age 1 & 2, Finding Nemo, Alvin & the Chipmunks, Monster Inc and Flushed Away (I will be creating seperate post for these movie links). But one of the disadvantages that I am seeing right now with this device is its battery, it's play time would only last for a couple of hours. I am not sure if we are not charging the battery correctly, so we have to check with the seller if it really works that way. Also, you may want to take a look at the upgraded versions of these MP4 players because they look nicer, like this one:

Maybe I was expecting too much from the movie "Caregiver," that is why I cannot rate as five stars (only four out of five). It was a story that really happens to a lot of Filipinos who try to make a better future for their children by working abroad. So I know a lot of OFWs will love this movie. It was touching yet I am really expecting more since it was a long awaited movie of Sharon Cuneta. However, I can still say that it is worth watching. Easy and Delicious Melt-in-your-mouth Chocolate cake

It's my oldest sister's birthday today and I thought of baking a cake for her instead of cooking the baked macaroni. I wanna try something new and so I told her daughters about my plan and they said that they will help me out.

It'll be the very first cake that I will bake so I googled a recipe for an easy chocolate cake. And the most interesting of the search result is the Melt-In-Your-Mouth Chocolate Cake by Clotilde of Chocolate & Zucchini

As you can see, the ingredients are easy to find, food processor or a mixer is not needed and the procedures are easy to follow. So here is our very own version:

I doubled the recipe to have a bigger cake but then I forgot the parchment paper. I guess that is the reason why that the sides were quite burned so I should say that it was not that successful. But since hubby like anything that has to do with chocolates, I will bake this again and make necessary adjustments according to our taste buds. Hopefully, Ill have a better cake on my next endeavor.

I said that because here in the Angeles City, you would always see Korean people everywhere (I am not saying that it is a bad thing, it was just my observation). Then, I have co workers who took Korean language class which was held at SM Clark. A friend of mine also told me that Koreans even "invade" the Timog Park subdivision a lot of Koreans are currently residing there. Just near that subdivison (or in the Friendship Road), you would see a lot of Korean Restaurants who I think offers delicious menu. Coz I believe that Koreans have a good taste when it comes to food. Currently, Tubbataha Reef is in the fourth spot on the New 7 Wonders of Nature while Chocolate Hills got the seventh spot. Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park and Mayon Volcano are also nominated, having the tenth and eleventh spots respectively.

If you were the ruler of the world and you could have anything you wanted as well as have people do anything you wanted, do you think you would get greedy and mean or would you be a good and fair ruler?

Although I would like to be a good and fair ruler, I guess there would be times that I will be greedy and mean. For example, if I will face a situation wherein some of my people are selfish, then I will be forced to teach them some lesson which may make me a greedy and mean ruler. And I guess a little greediness wont hurt if the situation calls for it.

Hayag.com: Watch your Favorite Filipino Shows

I know that Filipinos working abroad are so thrilled everytime they watch GMA or ABS-CBN Shows such as Eat Bulaga, Wowowee, Game ka na Ba and telenovelas. Channel 2 even has a TFC channel while GMA has Pinoy TV so that their shows will be aired in different countries such as USA, Singapore, Japan and others. But did you know that there is still another way to watch your favorite Filipino celebrity or show? Visit hayag.com. Hayag is a youtube type site where people share video clips but its primary content is Filipino-related videos. It's also called webcast.

And if you are a Kapuso, you can watch out for username mytvko because he posts GMA Shows while Kapamilyas can look for mimanchi so you can watch ABS-CBN shows.

You can also watch the current shows on GMA or ABS-CBN by following these steps:

1. Go to your Programs menu and open Windows Media Player (preferably version 10 or higher)
2. Press CTRL+U
3. Enter http://www.hayag.com/pl/mytvko.asx (GMA 7 Show) or http://www.hayag.com/pl/mimanchi.asx (ABS-CBN Show)
4. Then click OK

And dont forget that this is a streaming video so you need a broadband connection to enjoy the shows.

Since it is my brother's birthday today, I am putting his website on spotlight. Silip.org is only one of his many websites. You can see that the website has a simple layout but he told me that he is still working on the site appearance.
