Daily Sketch 1

2012-01-01T17:47:00.000-08:00

Hey guys, its been forever. Started the "Daily Sketches" all over as it's the first day of 2012, and who knows it might go to 365...(yeah right.) Photoshop Sketch that took 20 minutes, bases on the philosophy of compact and independent mobility. A person should enjoy the space of their own vehicle with no restrictions such as volume of music, ambient lighting, their destination, the look of the vehicle, etc;.

Work on Progress

2011-12-12T18:34:00.000-08:00

Sorry I have been lazy pretty recently, but I'm just figuring out on new projects, competitions, works, blah blah blah to work on for the year 2012. Decided I'm gonna get a new sketchbook dedicated to the year and am throwing everything out for a fresh new start! It's amazing how fast the year swept by!

Daily Sketch #7

2011-12-08T19:28:00.001-08:00

Well, well, well. Number 7 we meet at last. Just basic line sketches, playing around, and getting back into shape. Done with ballpoint pen.

Daily Sketch #6

2011-11-17T20:35:00.001-08:00

Just some moleskine sketches today. Really few. Moleskine and pencil.

Daily Sketch #5

2011-11-16T20:52:00.001-08:00

Continuing from yesterday... need to make more progress. Different color variations, shading, and lighting techniques probably. Photoshop and pencil.

Daily Sketch #4

2011-11-15T20:20:00.001-08:00

1st daily sketch that may need more time...aka "work in progress" Some futuristic Renault vehicle that I conceptualized. Digital media and pencil.

Daily Sketch # 3

2011-11-14T20:08:00.001-08:00

I know, I know. The proportions are off, just look at the rear wheel! Just having fun still, this sketch is actually a lot smaller than it looks. (Marker and ballpoint pen.)

Daily Sketch

2011-11-13T03:22:00.001-08:00

Basically a Renault conceptual bus, thinking how the fluid form of the Dezir can relate to different packagings in the car industry such as this bus. But again, not too serious render, just practice. Time: 30 minutes.

Ideation practice of the day...

2011-11-11T21:31:00.001-08:00

Yeah! Ideation practicing! Who doesn't like those?!

So far in the industry...

2011-11-09T06:01:00.000-08:00

Well I've been trying new things now and then, here are some new pieces I created for a freelance job. Rights are still mine, so they're free for me to post anywhere. Basically I was suppose to create pieces based off fun facts, more than 20 or so and this was all done by Photoshop.

Portfolio Review

2011-08-03T15:01:00.000-07:00

Here is my art portfolio so far, gotta get cranking!

I've also created a video of my sketchbooks since it would take more time copying, scanning, and scrolling down the page.

Update (April 2011)

2011-03-27T13:19:00.000-07:00

Its April time... got a lot of work to do before the semester's over...

But anyways here's my entry that I created a long time ago for the Local Motors/Reebok Shoe design competition and I'm actually creating the design without the Reebok and Local Motor essence and making it my own. I actually believe this is a good design and I'm hoping this can actually come out to be helpful. Stay tuned for that.

So far I'm working on some rough sketches as you can see. But I'll be posting work for competitions that I'm going to be participating in.

2011-01-31T20:57:00.000-08:00

My friend Hansta Mustafa and I ended up creating a sketch just for kicks, tell me what you think about it. Sketch took 20 min. Could end up becoming a concept for BMW...

Past Competition: Scholastic Art & Writing Awards

2011-01-30T11:33:00.000-08:00

This was my portfolio for the 2010 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, I know its not that much but I created this through staying up late all-night until it was time to go to school, through even delaying my homework, and staying after-school for this portfolio. I entered for the Design category and earned myself a Gold Key, an Uphoff scholarship, and the National Silver Portfolio Medal for the year of 2010. This honestly helped benefit me tremendously as in moral support and knowing that there were people who actually appreciated the work I created.

First Blog and My Recent Work

2011-01-30T10:19:00.000-08:00

Hello my name is Abdullah Pathan and this is my blog. First time using a blog and I still don't know how it works but I'll get the hang of it soon. I'm currently trying to pursue a path into the car design industry and will be posting work to show that I'm doing so. Anyone is free to critique and subject to my work, also sharing advice or asking for advice is always welcome! My first posts here will show my portfolio I have so far created, and just like a time capsule I'll see how far I've advance through time.
