Is because you need put space after “:”, like this.
user_id: xxxxxxxxx
password: xxxxxxxx

Nice work. Two quick comments:

1. The “user_id” isn’t the same as your login user name or email. Rather, it’s a unique user ID found under “settings in Toodledo.

2. So far, I haven’t been able to make the syntax for setting context or a tag. For example, using Twitter, I could send a DM to Toodledo that looks like this, “Write novel >tomorrow %writing,” and it would place a new task on my list, assigned to begin tomorrow with the tag “writing.”

Could you try “$ ruby –version” and tell me what version of Ruby you are using? Also “$ which ruby”, “$ gem list” and “$ sudo gem list” as well.

I tried that and tried to install again on my home computer – exact same results. ( also, That was a fake password I had in the example)

Look like it’s exactly the same problem as Ejbruner one. Are you sure your config file is a valid YAML file? You could try the same think I’ve told him.

You should change your Toodledo password immediately!

This is just my guess but are you sure you have a valid YAML file? Try moving cursor to the password line, press “A” (uppercase A), type your password and then press “[esc]:wq[enter]“

big fan of toodledo and Alfred, installed your extension, but I seem to have an issue with toodledo setup: /usr/local/lib/ruby/1.8/yaml.rb:133:in `load’: syntax error on line 21, col 2: ` password: xhqelsxii’ (ArgumentError)

I have used the userid from toodledo settings and seem to have a YAML file setup appropriately.

Just type “gem install toodledo” on the terminal follow by “toodledo setup” and type in your user id and password. After that, just install my extension.

If you don’t know how to use vi (default terminal text editor) to edit toodledo configurations, firstly, press “i” and use direction key to navigate and type in your credential, then press “:wq” (that was small q-queen) in order. Feel free to ask me if there’s a point you don’t understand.
