Hello to all my readers! I just wanna say THANK YOU for dropping by everyday! :-)

I have an announcement to make, I officially take my BLOG VACATION LEAVE starting today because I am 8 and a half months pregnant and any moment I will give birth to my handsome baby boy. I am excited to received this gift of life from God. I want to enjoy each moment of it with my son and also with my beloved family. This is another blessing for us. We are greatful and very lucky. So I'm asking for your patience and wait for me. I will be back as soon as I'm fully recovered. Just watch for my upcoming posts, because there will be a lot of interesting new topics about my delivery, baby, motherhood, family activity, future plans and maybe a contest. Jealousy Strike

One of my major concern right now about my little princess is the jealousy issue. Everytime we went to the Mall, we bought stuff for our baby boy. We started to complete and be ready for the needs of the baby. Then, we sometimes received some baby gifts from our friends. All of a Sudden, when my little princess saw all the gifts. She asked me these heavy questions like "Mommy where's mine?", "Is this all for the baby?", "what do you like mommy, a baby boy or a baby girl?". Honestly, these questions from her are very tough to answer. I need to be very careful to say a words that might hurt her feelings. So, I kept reading some articles from the net to guide me and help me out in this kind of adjustment for my little girl. Here's one and i like it. Check it out!

Jealousy is a issue all parents deal with when raising children believe it or not it's a issue your parents had when raising you.
When a baby is born everyone gives him all of their undivided attention. it's the laws of nature , we protect the things that cant protect themselves.
Have you ever watched a mamma bird with her babies in her nest? She nurtures and cradles them, then as they grow she pushes them away and teaches them to fly out on their own .

When we have more then one child we tend to protect and hover over the little being who cant fend for himself and as our other children grow we teach them to become independent . It is what we are suppose to do its part of growing up and becoming their own person. The sad part being we take it to far and without a glance have made our older child feel left out. This is where we need to understand though caring for two is difficult we need to find the route to being able to care for the baby and being able to teach our oldest to become his own person but still let him know he's just as important.
When the baby is wet you could let his sibling bring over a fresh clean diaper and as doing so let him know you appreciate his help. During bath time put a few extra bubbles in the tub and break out the dusty old sail boat that's been laying around. Give him the extra hug when he wakes in the morning and kiss before he goes to bed. Teach him he's different then his younger sibling but that's in a good way. While his younger sibling has to nurse he can be free to roam and play. He surely wouldn't want to be stranded in one spot for hours he's a big guy now he can romp around. Remind him he gets to teach his sibling things first not a soul on earth can do that but him ! Though I do admit the adjustment will not be easy , the law of nature again plays in part .To live we have to learn and learning takes time but the end reward is a brighter side with less issues between sibilings.

Someday, I want to travel and tour the entire United States. I want to visit and see, with my own two eyes the beautiful tourist spots in every state. I like this poem, it's very inspiring especially right now I'm carrying my 6 months baby in my belly. As a mother, having a baby is a miracle from God. I can't explain how happy and blest I am. This is a wonderful experience ever.

My Baby at 6 Months

I am six months pregnant right now. Time goes quickly. Here's the information I've searched about the development of my baby.

The baby's skin turns from almost transparent to opaque. Oil and sweat glands develop, and a waxy substance called vernix protects the skin. Her brain matures and reflexes develop, including the reflex to startle at sudden loud noises. She practices breathing by inhaling amniotic fluid. By the end of the sixth month, the baby weighs around two pounds and can be up to 12 inches long.

Living here in the United States is not easy; as a matter of fact it’s very challenging. It took time before I became adapted to the culture and way of living. Living here, being independent is a must. I cannot rely on anyone but myself. In my situation, it’s extremely tough, because I grew up in a country where I can ask for assistance and guidance quickly from my family and friends. When I came here with my Husband I had a difficult time, because I did not know anyone. It’s totally different here; I cannot ask for help because no one will be there for me. Fortunately, I am lucky that my husband is so patient with me. He has taught me a lot of things on how to live alone without depending on other people, to be thrifty and save something for rainy days. Another thing is map reading when we travel, he taught me to map quest a certain place so I know where it is. He doesn’t want me to ask somebody to locate the place for me. At first, it’s kind of difficult because I am not familiar with road maps, but now I’m getting used to it. It takes a while before I get it, but I do a pretty good job though. I’m proud of myself.

– Phebe Wood. She was the first (1855) woman telegraph operator in the United States. She is in Block 4, Lot 1.

ADRIAN – Baseball player Mike Marshall was born here in 1943.

ALLEN PARK – The World's largest tire is located here on I-94 Originally a Ferris wheel that was used at the 1964 - 65 New York World's Fair, Uniroyal turned the Ferris wheel into the world's largest tire which stands 80 feet high and weighs 12 tons. In 1998, the tire was stabbed with the world's longest nail to promote Uniroyal's puncture-resistant Tiger Paw Nailgard tire. The nail weighed 250 pounds and held the recordbeingr world's longest nail at 11 feet long. In 2003 the nail was removed and sold on eBay for $3,000.

ANN ARBOR – Born here in Ann Arbor were: actress Martha Vickers in 1925, and inventor William R. Hewlett in 1913, co-founder of Hewlett Packard.

BATAVIA – Lizzie Whitlock, circus side show attraction. She was the original "Fat Lady of the Circus." When she died she weighed 650 pounds. Windows had to be removed from her house to get her body out. Lizzie died in 1886 at age 46 and is buried here in the .

BATH – In 1927, Andrew Kehoe, 55, was a farmer and the treasurer of the school board here in Bat. His 45-year-old wife was ill, his medical bills were mounting, he was on the verge of losing his farm and he was stealing money from the school treasury to make ends meet. Early in the morning of May, 18, 1927, Kehoe set in motion a plan he had been working on for months. First, he killed all the fruit trees on his farm. Then he crushed his wife's skull and tied her to a cart. Then he set off dynamite charges that he had placed near his farm buildings. Next, he drove into town and cut the wires to the central telephone office. Kehoe's last stop was the town's new school where he wired the basement with 500 pounds of dynamite. He was sitting in his car when he triggered the dynamite blast that blew out walls and lifted off the roof of the north wing of the school. The force of the explosion sent bodies flying into the school yard. The building collapsed inwards, burying many fourth, fifth, and sixth graders and their teachers. When Emery Huyck ran to confront Kehoe, Kehoe fired a shot into the back seat of his car which was loaded with explosives. Huyck and Kehoe were killed instantly. 38 Children, ages from 6 to 8, and 7 adults were killed, more than 50 others were injured. The site is now a park in which a state historic plaque lists the names of the children.

BATTLE CREEK – Born here in Battle Creek were: circus "Bearded Lady" Stella McGregor in 1920, actress Betty Hutton in 1921 and William K. Kellogg in 1860 (co-founder of the Kellogg Company here in 1906).

– John H. Kellogg, cereal maker. He invented corn flakes.

COLON – Buried here in the Lakeside Cemetery are magician Harry Blackstone Sr. and magician Harry Blackstone Jr.

COOPERSVILLE – Musician/singer Del Shannon was born here in 1934.

DAVISON – Director Michael Moore was born here in 1954.

DEARBORN – Born here in Dearborn were: auto manufacturer Henry Ford on a farm near here in 1863. His home from 1915 to 1950 was at 4901 Evergreen Rd. (Greenfield Township, Wayne County), U. S. President Gerald R. Ford in 1913, and Bob Seger in 1945.
u The last Ford Mustang came off the line here in the oldest Ford assembly plant on May 10, 2004. The plant, built in 1920, was closed.

HELL – For several hundred years, a low, swampy area here was occupied mostly by the Potawatomi tribe. Later, in the early 19th century, it was the most unpleasant part of a trail between Lansing and Dexter. In the late 1830s, George Reeves, a New York farmer, started several businesses in the area, a general store, and a watermill, and a distillery. After Michigan gained statehood, George Reeves was asked what he thought the town he helped settle should be called, and replied, "I don't care, you can name it Hell for all I care." The name became official on October 13, 1841. Today, Hell Creek runs through the town of about 260 people. A bar next to the creek is known as "The Dam Site Inn".

HIGHLAND PARK – Musician/singer Bill Haley was born here in 1925. He and his Comets had the hit record Rock Around the Clock in 1954.
u In 1947, Nina Housden suspected that her husband Charles, a bus driver, was having an affair. Despite his protests, he was unable to convince her of his fidelity. When he visited the local bowling alley, Nina would go there and embarrass him in front of his friends. Finally, Charles had enough. He filed for divorce and moved out. But on December 18, 1947, Nina phoned him and asked him to come to her modest apartment here in Highland Park. While there, she plied him with liquor until he passed out. Nina then wrapped a clothesline around his neck and strangled him. She rolled back the carpets, got a meat cleaver and cut up his body. She wrapped the body parts in Christmas paper and piled them in the trunk of her car. The next day she left for her family home in Kentucky where he planned to bury Charlies remains. When she reached Toledo, Ohio, she had car trouble and while working on the car, a mechanic discovered Charlie and called the police. Brought back to Michigan she was sentenced to life in prison.

IRONWOOD – Hiawatha, the world's tallest Indian statue, was built in Minneapolis in 1964, transported here to Ironwood and erected in the "caves area," on the site of the Old Norrie Iron Mine. The statue is 50 feet tall and weighs 16,000 pounds.

ISHPEMING – A mine disaster killed 51 miners here on November 3, 1926.

My husband is very handy when comes to home remodeling. He has done all of his own work for a number of years. I have often wondered why he never remodeled professionally. He does such beautiful work, but he doesn’t wish to do it for anyone else. He has become the ultimate “do it yourselfer”. We are remodeling our basement for a kitchenette and bathroom. It is a very big project and time consuming. My husband has cut the cement, laid the new drain piping, and poured the new cement. We have laid ceramic tiles, built walls, and hung the sheet rock. We have roughed in the plumbing and are ready to start placing the cabinets. Once the cabinets are in place we will shop for a counter top and sink, along with the faucets.

We have done a lot of researching for counter tops and sinks that would fit our needs. We had to consider price and function to find the best combination.
