With Apple releasing two versions of the next gen iPhone, consumers now have a choice between either buying the iPhone 6 or the iPhone 6 Plus. With two options now, a question that often arises is whether the iPhone 6 is worth the buy or the iPhone 6 Plus. Although the obvious difference between the two seems to be screen size, the iPhone 6 Plus varies from the 6 in some other key factors as well. We'll round off the differences for you.

Screen:

iPhone 6 Plus: 5.5 inch 1920 x 1080 LCD

iPhone 6: 4.7 inch 'Retina HD' 1334 x 750 LCD

The iPhone 6 Plus' screen is 0.8 inches larger than its brother and 0.8 inches is a huge difference. The iPhone 6 Plus along with the bigger screen has a comparatively better screen resolution as well which is 401 PPI compared to the iPhone 6's 321 PPI screen. The iPhone 6 Plus' screen also seems to be brighter than the 6's. Although there are some minor differences between the screens apart from the size, you won't notice them as much unless you get up close and personal with your phone or like to watch HD movies regularly during long flights or stays. The iPhone 6 Plus was also particularly made to be used in landscape mode similar to the iPad Mini 2.

We can't really choose a winner between the two in terms of screen size because it depends on the users preferences. If you prefer bigger screens that allow you more space, then the Plus would be your choice but if you're more of a person who chooses the 4.7 inch screen because of its much easier handling and the fact it fits easily into your pocket, the 6 may be the better choice.

Camera:

Many users take their phones' cameras to be a key factor in determining which phone they want. The following are the differences between the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus cameras;

iPhone 6 Plus: 8MP camera, 1/3.06-inch sensor, true-tone flash,f/2.2 aperture dual-LED flash, phase detection, OIS.

There isn't much of a difference between the two cameras. Both have their 8 megapixel cameras with identical front facing cameras which work pretty well in low light and in general compared to the iPhones' rivals. Taking selfies and video calling isn't much different than the previous iPhone models and that is perfectly fine considering they are already good enough.

The only difference between the two cameras is the OIS feature in the iPhone 6 Plus. OIS is the optical image stabilization. Although you won't feel much of a difference in well lit conditions, in low light the iPhone 6 Plus easily wins the battle because of OIS. The image appears to be much sharper and the colors are also adjusted to make the image feel less dull.

Both cameras are great, but the OIS makes the iPhone 6 Plus one step ahead of the 6.

Performance:

iPhone 6 Plus: Apple A8 64-bit and M8 co-processor, iOS 8

Both the processors are the same, but this time Apple has included a co processor as well. The M8 co processor deals with the side features such as sensors and some data management. This increases the phones performance by a great deal along with the battery life.

The processors are great in all aspects. the A8 64-bit chip is a great new addition and works perfectly. It's dual core, 1.4 GHz CPU with a PowerVR GX6450 quad core graphics chip along with a 1 GB RAM. That's great news if you're a gamer! Games do not lag or stutter at all and it runs very smoothly.

Both include the new iOS 8 which has improved the previous iOS 7 which we have discussed in another article. iOS 8 runs smoothly as well but there are barely any differences between the two iPhones. Both show you a maximum of 20 apps on one screen. The widgets, keyboard, etc. are the same. The only difference is that the iPhone 6 Plus gives you some extra shortcuts only in landscape mode.

As the performance is basically the same, we'll call it a draw.

Battery Life:

iPhone 6 Plus: 2,915 mAh battery, 14 hours video, 12 hours browsing

iPhone 6: 1,810 mAh battery, 11 hours video, 11 hours browsing

Although the iPhone 6 has a smaller screen and consumes less battery, the iPhone 6 Plus beats its brother in stamina by a long long margin. The iPhone 6 Plus is a good competitor to the other Samsung and HTC flagships and a mediocre user can get 2 full days out of the phone easily. Whereas the iPhone 6 is a phone that you will need to charge daily. We're not saying the iPhone 6 battery is bad, but it comes no where close to the iPhone 6 Plus.

Design:

iPhone 6 Plus: Curved aluminium, gold or light/dark silver 7.1mm thick, 172g

iPhone 6: Curved aluminium, gold or light/dark silver, 6.8mm thick, 129g

Both phones look identical aside from the screen size and the overall design is beautiful. The glass curves at the edges into the aluminium chassis and is generally very slick and stylish. The two colors look perfect on both phones.

As the iPhone 6 Plus is larger than the 6, it is also thicker and heavier. Although you won't feel the difference too much, you will feel that the iPhone 6 is much more comfortable to hold compared to the 6 Plus. The large 6 Plus sometimes makes it difficult using the phone with one hand and typing with your thumb. Although you will get used to it, in the beginning you would most probably have to use both your hands. Reaching the notification bar may also cause issues to those with small hands.

Both iPhones have great grips and you won't risk your 6 Plus from sliding down your hand while trying to reach for something at the top of the screen. If you put the Apple case on, the iPhone 6 Plus gets much more difficult to use because of the increment in size but it works seamlessly with the iPhone 6.

Price:

Price is one of the biggest factor in choosing which iPhone you want. Both phones are made by Apple ( obviously ) and therefore are going to be expensive. Apple has also raised the price compared to the previous generations.

iPhone 6 Plus: 16 GB ( $749 ), 64 GB ( $849 ), 128 GB ( $949 )

The iPhone 6 is a $100 less than the iPhone 6 Plus. Apple has also chosen not to release any 32 GB version but haven't exactly given a reason for it. We would suggest you get the 64 GB one because the iPhone does not have an SD card slot and you wouldn't want to be low on memory.

Verdict:

We can't really decide between the two ourselves. It depends from user to user. Although the iPhone 6 Plus wins in specs, it loses in two key factors: Price and Screen Size.

We would say decide between which screen size suits you. If you don't mind using a screen that's close to a phablet if not already then go for the iPhone 6 Plus but if you feel uncomfortable with the 5.5 inch screen then the iPhone 6 is the choice for you.

Apple Prepares for Worldwide Developers Conference in June

Apple have been silent in 2013 until last week, when they announced that they will be holding their Worldwide Developers Conference which is also known as WWDC from June 10-14. The WWDC is a conference held every year, traditionally in June where over 4000 developers arrive and discuss about future software and programs. This time it is being held in San Francisco.

This is the only event hosted by Apple for 3rd part developers. These 3rd Party developers can then discuss with the engineers in Apple about anything. Last year, all the tickets for the event were sold in just two hours of release but this time, all tickets were sold in less than two minutes. The cost of the event was $1,600 and many fans and developers who were two minutes late after release have foudn themselves disappointed. This time Apple has made compromises of these people and have told us that they will post videos of the conferencces and will also send teams to various cities worldwide which last year were Austin, New York, Seattle, Beijing, Berlin, London, Rome, Sao Paolo, and Seoul.

Now it's the time of the year when Apple will announce what else they have up their sleeve. What do you think Apple will release? The rumored iPhone 5S? Or a Cheaper iPhone? Maybe another iPad? Or is Apple planning to release a smart watch? No one knows now. Some analysts say that Apple will introduce their own updated Pandora Internet Raido. The CEO of Apple, Tim Cook has said, “Our teams are hard at work on some amazing new hardware, software and services that we can’t wait to introduce in the fall and throughout 2014.” Last year in June, iOS 6 was announced.

Apple now has a lot of competition mainly from Samsung and Google. Android is a strong opponent to iOS. Staying quiet for too long has had some effect to Apple, but maybe in WWDC Apple will introduce something eye catching. But whatever they do, they'll have to do it right as many consumers are peeking towards Android along with the new Samsung Note 2 and Samsung Galaxy S3.

How to Activate Incognito Mode on your iPhone, iPod, or iPad

Many people use the incognito function on their browers for their computers, but now, you can even use incognito for your Apple Device as well.

Incognito mode, also referred to as stealth mode prevents the brower or device from saving your surfing or downloading history, cache, and cookies. Using incognito, all your saved passwords and other saved data immediately gets deleted the second you close the tab or window that you set in incognito mode. You can set incognito mode for a tab or a specific window easily by following the steps below. All you will need is the Google Chrome browser installed into your portable device.

You can easily find the Google Chrome app on the App Store. It's a small sized app, so you won't have to worry about memory. Once it has successfully installed open it.

Open the Chrome Menu ( refer to the picture below ). The menu button will appear as 3 horizontal lines on the right of the address bar.

When the drop down menu opens, select 'New Incognito Tab'
Once you select it, you will then start browsing in incognito mode. The browser will show you a message and a brief description about incognito mode.

To make sure you are incognito, the little logo of the shady guy wearing glasses and a hat will appear on the bottom of the screen as indicated in the picture.
You can close incognito any time by just closing the tab or window in which you had opened incognito.

The best part of incognito mode is that since all the data is erased, your browser won't be taking too much memory from your hard disk!

Apple Releases iPlay, The New Gaming Console

Apple is on top of everything in technology, now it has also entered the gaming zone. Sources at IGN tell us that Apple have introduced a new gaming console, the iPlay. Sony is planning to launch the PS4 any time this year and XBox will most probably be doing the same thing although they still haven't talked about any new console yet, and now it seems like Apple wants to join the competition as well.

The iPlay resembles a lot like the Apple TV but has some additional buttons to it. The famous home button is available as well. See what it looks like below: Credits IGN

Therea are 4 lights labelled 1-4 which connect a maximum number of 4 controllers to one console. The internal specs are not released yet and Apple has not put up any official notice on their website. How to Get or Remove the Android Lock for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod.

The Android Lock is a cool Screen lock that can also be set on your iDevice if it has been jailbroken. Many of you might already be familiar with the common Android lock which is present in all Android Devices. Not many Apple developers like to copy off features from Android, but thsi screen lock is awesome and is a must try for those who are bored of typing that 4 digit code into their iPhone screen lock.

Follow the steps below to learn how to get it.

Open up Cydia. You need to have your device jailbroken to have Cydia. You won't have to add any extra Repository as its from Big Boss, which already comes built in Cydia.
Search for Android Lock. I suggest you download Android Lock XT which will be in the list. Android Lock XT is a smooth version which works on almost all software versions of iOS. Wait for the download to complete.
After the download completes, open settings. Scroll down a bit and you will see Android Lock written there. You then set the pattern you like twice and then it saves. Lock your phone and check it out.

How to Remove the Android Lock:

What if you forget your Android Lock? Many people get locked out of their devices because of forgetting their pattern. Try the following two ways of breaking into your device.
Hard Reboot:
Do a hard reboot. Connect your device to your PC or Mac with the USB cable and hold the home and power button for 30 seconds. The device will shut down and reboot itself. This may take a few moments though. You will have access to your iDevice and will be able to turn off the Android Lock. If you have an untethered jailbreak then you will have to jailbreak your device again. But you're lucky because if you have a tethered jailbreak you will not be able to jailbreak again due to software problems.

Answering A Phone Call ( iPhone )
This method only works for iPhone as you have to break into your device during a phone call. Call your iPhone with a different mobile and answer the call. During the call is going on, press the home button. Do not end the call though or else the password will appear again. During the call go to settings and into Android Lock. Disable Android Lock and then end the call. The password will be gone!

The JD Power Associates Award for the Best Smartphone of the year without a doubt is the iPhone, again. This is the 9th time in a row that Apple has one this award. Apple has been winning this award ever since the original iPhone came out, the year that started the Smartphone development years.

Apple is boasting a lot about this award and is actually trying to transfer Android users to iPhone and preventing iOS users from swithching over to Android. Apple had also created a 'Why iPhone' page on their website explaining why one should choose the iPhone over other platforms.

The JD Power Award is something to be proud of though, especially if you are winning it for the 9th time in a row.

Apple had a long lead but coming in second was Nokia followed by Samsung. Apple has taken the smartphone industry to the next level with the iPhone 5 and iOS 6. The Secret Assistive Touch Feature in iOS 5+

The Assistive Touch feature was released with the introduction of iOS 5. Even though iOS 6 is now out and working many people are still unaware of Assistive Touch. To tell you before hand, assistive touch is a very helpful on screen button that allows you to control various functions of your device. Keep reading for a better understanding.

What Exactly is Assistive Touch:

By turning on Assistive Touch you get an onscreen button that looks like this.

This button can be used for various purposes. You can drag the button to anyplace of your screen so that it does not come in the way. Drag it anywhere you like. When you touch on the button a screen like this opens.

The 4 options showed in the picture are shown. The most used button will be the home one. The virtual home button will do exactly the same job as your regular physical home button. This is mainly used for those who think it is easier to select home from here or by those who have their physical home buttons broken.

By going to the device button, 6 more options will open up. The Lock Screen, Rotate, Mute, Volume Up, Volume Down, and Shake. The Lock Screen will normally lock your session just like you do when pressing the power button. The Volume Up, Down, and Mute buttons are used to control the volume. These features are extremely helful if you have a cover that makes it disturbing or uneasy to press the physical power and volume control buttons. The Rotate Screen option will allow you to rotate your screen any way you want without actually changing your devices position. The Shake button does the same thing.

The Gestures feature is interesting but barely helpful at all. It's just a little extra for someone who is physically disabled. iOS has various fingers' gestures that allow you to do certain jobs by sliding two, three, four, or five fingers. With the gestures option, you can perform any of the multiple fingers' jobs with a single finger. Torquoise Rings will appear indicating fingers and you will be able to perform those actions.

The Favorites button is for custom gestures that you make. The default gestue is pinch which allows you to do the action of pinching with a single finger. Create custom gestures and then save them to favorites.

That's all about the Assistive Touch button. Now lets learn how to use it.

How To Activate Assistive Touch:

Assistive touch can easily be activated from the iOS settings. Go to Settings > General > Accessibility. There turn Assistive Touch on.

Once you turn it on the button will appear. You can from the same place make new gestures and save them to favorites.

Apple Releases iOS 6.1.3 Update

Yesterday, on Tuesday Apple released their latest iOS update 6.1.3 which is a minor update fixing small bugs in their software.

To be exact, the two main reasons why Apple released this minor update was to

Fix a bug for Maps in Japan
Fix a bug in which someone could access the phone without entering a passcode. This was done by going to the emergency call and then going back while flickering the On/Off button.

Its not a necessary update though, you can certainly live without it if you don't live in Japan or don't really care if someone enters your phone app. It's a minor update but if you do update with your jailbreaked iDevice, then I'm sad to say that your jailbreak will finish. You will then have to jailbreak your device again, and the jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3 is not here yet. So if you are one of those who have jailbreaked your device then I advise you not to update.

iPhone 5S and Lower Cost iPhone Rumored to be Released Soon

According to a Japanese blog known as Macotakara has published that Apple Inc. are working on the iPhone 5S as well as another lower cost iPhone model. Macotakara has been quite accurate with giving out details in the past and this time they say that the iPhone 5S is scheduled to come out this August.

Even though the iPhone 5 has only been out for a few months now, Apple is starting to work on their next model of the iPhone pretty soon, maybe to counter the soon to be released Samsung Galaxy S4. Many rumors are floating around in the internet about the iPhone 5S, and the most controversial thing about it is the date. Some say that it is going to be released in August while others say that it will be introduced in 2014. It has also been reported that a lower cost iPhone is also something Apple wants to release.

The iPhone 5S is rumored to have a 4.9 inch screen, an even larger one than the new iPhone 5 and this screen size will be bigger than the S3's 4.8 inch screen. We have come to hear that a new A7 chip might also be coming soon and a faster processor as well. The new camera is expected to be 13 mega pixels and to have a Smart LED Flash. The 5S is said to have a Super HD Screen as well, even though we have never heard of Super HD, we will soon find out.

Another Lower Cost iPhone is also something new Apple is trying out. Its expected that these lower cost iPhones will cost around $300-$400 without a contract while the iPhone 5 without a contract costs $800. The iPhone 5S will have a very similar body but the lower cost iPhone will have a largely plastic body. It has also been rumored that Apple will release an iPhone specially made for China Mobile, offering various contracts with it.

Wireless charging is also something Apple wants. A lot of people have been wanting and would love to have wireless charging. Apple has been rumored to be trying introducing Wireless charging with some magnetic system to send energy over to your iPhone from the charger.

Here is the story of how Apple Inc. first began and how it prospered to what it is today.

Two great men, Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak created a company called Apple Computer in 1976 and released their first product, the Apple I. There are many different time periods in which the History of Apple Inc. can be divided into. The most prosperous years for the company were the start of the 21st Century till now.

1975-1985:

Apple Computers had released a few computers during this time period. Many computers were produced during this period, namely the Apple I, Apple II, Apple III, Apple IPO, and Lisa. These computers did get some good sales and both the creators did get a reasonable amount of profit but they weren't earning too much popularity. Wozniak wanted to create more and more products, but Steve Jobs told him to slow down and find solutions to the problems that the current computers faced.

Both men worked tirelessly towards their common goal. In 1984, the first advertisement of their new product, the Macintosh spread at great speeds. The ad became widely known to many people of America and on the day of release it sold many units. The Macintosh sold at a high rate, but other developers called it a mere toy, saying that it lacked software and had many other minor defects. Even though they received this criticism, the Macintosh was a milestone for Apple Inc.

Then an unfortunate event occurred in 1985. Steve Jobs left his company due to a power struggle in the upper ranks of the company. Jobs then sold most of his shares in the company and acquired a big $70 million. He then bought Pixar, the worlds leading visual arts company. He also then founded a new company by the name of NeXT computers which was made to produce computers with a futuristic design and interface. NeXT did produce many well known personal computers, but due to the high prices it did not prosper much.

1986-1996

Apple Inc. then calmed down the negative matters that were taking place after Steve Jobs had resigned. The Mac had sold tons of units and had become a major product. Many versions of the Macintosh were introduced and each one was extraordinary at that time. In the late 1980's, Apple had to face many rivals that had now formed after watching how successful Apple had become.

Then the IBM PC was released. This beat Apple and all its rivals and swept across the field. With the introduction of Windows 3.0, PC's took the lead and started outcompeting Apple Products. Trying to make a comeback Apple released new versions of the Macintosh and received much criticism. They were told that they had too many computer models that varied very little in the technological specs. Apple's well known simplicity now vanished. The demand for the Macintosh series now decreased.

Then Apple, Motorola, and IBM formed an AIM alliance. Their aim was to create a powerful computer using Motorola Software, IBM software, and Apple Software to make their dream computer which would be known as PReP. The Power Macs were then released by Apple which had the IBM Power Processor. Apple along with these also released the first PDA called the Newton. IBM had also offered to buy Apple Computers but Apple refused.

Then in 1986 Steve Jobs returned to Apple. The company that Steve Jobs was working in, NeXT was struggling to its fall and Apple purchased the company. The NeXT Operating System then formed the basis to the future Mac OS.

1997-2002

Apple then introduced the Apple Store in 1997 which aimed to sell WebObject Applications that they obtained from NeXT. This was their first Retail Store. In the same year the current CEO of that time was sacked by the board and then Steve Jobs gained power by becoming the new CEO. At the 1997 Macworld Expo Apple announced its partnership with Microsoft. Both CEO's Steve Jobs and Bill Gates made a 5 year plan that Windows will be placed on the Mac and the popular Microsoft Office would be included in the Mac Systems as well.

Then, in 1998 Apple striked with its comeback. They suddenly became much more popular and their new products started selling lots of units. Steve Jobs as the new CEO then wanted to make the iMac. The iMac was made and it sold a million units per year. Apple had finally gotten back in the game and got many sales for this new device. The iBook was also invented, the first personal laptop that introduced and publicized the use of WLAN which we now a day call WiFi.

In 2001 one after the discontinuing of licensing Apple products to 3rd Party sellers due to poor sales, Apple then produced a line of Apple retail stores to increase their revenue. They opened many outlets all over the US. The Mac OS X was released as well based on the NeXTSteP processor and the first iPod was released in October 2001. This iPod was a regular MP3 player that had a 5 GB memory and was said to be able to contain 1000 songs.

2002-2007

These were some of the best years for Apple. This is the time period in which Apple gained most of its success and many new products were released.

A totally new iMac was released with a G4 processor and an LCD display making it more 'modern'. The iMac G5 soon replaced the old G4 in 2004. Apple then introduced their products out of the US as well. They opened their first retail store in Tokyo and slowly spread out towards Japan and other countries. The first retail store in Europe was opened in London. Apple then started receiving huge sales!

The iPod was released as well. The portable device became famous in days! The old flash players were only able to keep 30 songs and the 5 GB capacity of the iPod then made everyone want one of those. Many alterations came to the iPod as well. It was made slimmer, smaller, and lighter. Different kinds of iPods were released as well. Then Apple released a color version of the iPod and a new function that was added was the ability of the iPod to show photos as well. The iPod was only compatible with Macintosh computers but later were made compatible with Windows as well. The iPod shuffle was released as well. The size of the device got much attention. It was the size of a pack of gum and could play songs with a huge internal memory.

The iTunes store was introduced to the public in the following year. It gained much popularity. The iTunes Music store beat all other previous stores as it was cheaper with $0.99 per song and $9.99 per album. New functions were introduced in the iTunes Package. They could save songs to the computer, burn them to a disc and send them to their iPod. In the first 2 weeks after the release of iTunes, the revolutionary software was downloaded by 2 million users and all of them being Macintosh users.

The iPod Mini was released in 2004. It was highly customizable and came in many different colors. Even though it was a GB less than the previous iPod it sold many units and helped the new iTunes grow even further. Songs through iTunes were being sold at a rate of 500 million per year. As iTunes was only available in the USA it soon was released in UK, Japan, France, Canada, and many other countries as well. It soon gained much popularity. Apple became rich and its revenue swelled with big numbers.

The 5th Generation iPod Nano was released as well. Even though it was expensive for some consumers, it sold 1 million units in the first 17 days. It was much thinner, and had a larger screen. The main feature introduced through the Nano was Video Playback. Video Playback received a lot of attention. In 2006 iTunes sold its billionth song.

2008-Present

In the beginning of 2007, Steve Jobs, the CEO of Apple Computers Inc. in a Macworld Expo told the world that since the company was not selling only computers anymore, they decided to change their name from Apple Computers Inc. to only Apple Inc. In the same speech one of the best technological devices was released, the revolutionary iPhone. The basis of smartphones started from the iPhone. The widescreen version of the iPod was released in mobile form and became the first mobile device that supported visual voicemail and a fully integrated Internet capability which was supposed to be carried out using the new web browser, Safari. The new operating system, iOS was released.

iOS and the iPhone proved to be very successful. The earlier iPhone versions 1 and 2 G sold at a reasonable rate. With the release of the iPhone 3G in 2008, the iPhone sold millions of units in selected countries. Soon the iPhone 3GS was released which sold even more than the previous model. The iPhone became well known as the best smartphone of the time. A 12 months cycle developed and the iPhone 4 was released in 2010. Tablets became more popular among consumers. The iPad 2 was released and now we have the latest iPad as well, 'the new iPad.' The latest device today is the iPhone 5, which was released in 2012. The latest iOS is 6.

Apple formed the basis of most of the smartphone technology and operating systems. They were the ones who made smartphones and were the ones who introduced tablets. Battery life is also something that one would like to know about before purchasing a smartphone. Between the iPhone 5 and the S3, there is not much of a difference but to me the iPhone 5's battery always seemed one step ahead of the S3's battery. Another major difference between both devices is that the Samsung Galaxy has a removable battery and an SD card slot whereas the iPhone 5 has none of those two features. The S3 has a Quad Core 1.4 GHz processor and the iPhone 5 has a Dual Core 1.2 GHz processor making the S3 the more powerful device.

Apple and Google compete against each other in the battle between built in apps. Google Maps is a comprehensive navigation app but Apple tried to counter Google Maps but as we saw earlier, Apple pretty much failed. Siri competes with S voice but in my opinion Siri is a much better assistant. The camera specs are the same for both devices but the S3 features a new function in which the front camera detects your face and prevents the phone from sleeping or locking.

The App Store Vs Android Market:

Without a doubt the Apples App Store is much larger than the Android Market and is the best Store for downloading mobile apps. The Android Market is catching up and has improved over the year. You will be able to find many popular apps on both stores but there are some apps like Orchestra that you can only download from the App Store. App Store is winning the race at the moment but Android will surely reach up to it's competitors level.

Price:

Now this is where many people change their minds. The Samsung Galaxy S3 came out a while before the iPhone 5 making it without a doubt cheaper. A new iPhone 5 32 GB without a plan will come for $850 dollars while the Samsung Galaxy S3 without a plan will come for $600. A $250 difference is a lot and might change a lot of peoples' mind.

Once people buy their Apple Device, people at one once want to try the unique 'Retina Display' of their new device. Watching movies and other videos can be tons of fun watching them on either iPhone, iPod, or iPad. Usually, new users get stuck on the part when you have to sync or transfer movies or videos from your computer to your Apple Device. To begin with, you will need two downloadable software:

Handbrake, this will be used to rip (convert) your DVD format into a format that is playable on your iDevice.
VLC, this is just a simple and ordinary media player but Handbrake might have to use VLC under certain circumstances, so to avoid any trouble download it anyway.

Step 1:

In this step you will need to rip the DVD into MP4, one of the formats that Apple Devices use. Put in the DVD into your computer, if anything opens up then close it, otherwise, move on. Open Handbrake. You will see the files on the DVD. Find a file called 'VIDEO_TS' select this folder, don't go into it. Then press open.

Handbrake will then briefly scan for all the titles in the 'Source' section. Select which title or movie you want and choose its chapters as well.

Step 2:

Press the 'Toggle Presets' button on the top right of the screen. A pop under menu will open, select iPhone from there. From there select 'Audio and Subtitles'. Choose the language and the subtitles you want to listen and read in the movie later, because once you choose it you will not be able to change these settings later through your Apple Device. Make sure that you choose where you want to save the file, and select the green Start icon. Now Handbrake will start ripping your movie into the selected destination. This might take a while.

Step 3:

Once the whole ripping is done and your movie is saved in your specified folder, you are ready to shift the movie into iTunes. Just select and drag the MP4 file from your computer into iTunes. The transfer will occur and you can then view your movie in iTunes. You can then edit it's name, genre etc. from there.

Step 4:

Now it's time for you to put the movie into your Apple Device. Select your device from the left sidebar in iTunes and scroll down. There, you will see a box, select the movie you want to transfer from there. Select it and then press apply at the bottom. iTunes will start copying the movie into your iPhone, and later you can find the movie inside your iPhone in the library.

The default media player for all Apple Devices is iTunes, which is fully compatible with each iDevice and basically was made for Apple users. Procedure:

Media Monkey is a big full functional media player that allows you to do everything you can possibly do in iTunes, it's a great alternative as well. iDevice syncing is enabled and using MediaMonkey you can easily transfer your music at ease.

Most Media players need iTunes installed because iTunes comes with special drivers that give permission to access your Apple device and move files from there. But since the whole point of this article is to sync songs without installing iTunes, here is another way.

You will have to download iTunes from the Apple website, but you will not have to install it. You can delete it later as you need iTunes only temporarily just to get certain drivers.

Download the iTunes.exe file from apple.com and save the file in any folder
After the download is completed, open the folder in which you saved the file. Right click on the file and rename the ending ( suffix ) from .exe to .zip
After changing the name, open the now .zip file and find the two files AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi and QuickTime.msi. Extract both files to your desktop.

Install these two files into your computer.

Now open MediaMonkey. Shift all the songs that you want synced into your Apple Device into MediaMonkey if you have not done this already. Just drag the music files into MediaMonkey. Your device once plugged into the computer will be shown on the left. Press sync and you are all done!

Now you can delete or do whatever you want with the downloaded iTunes file once you have extracted the two files in step 3. Have Fun!
