Weighing in at a hefty 75 minutes this finale was stuffed of the absurdities that have characterized it's sophomore run.</span><br />

Without these two things there is no Downton; everything else is a subplot. (1) seems to have been tabled after Patrick left, ignoring how ridiculous the whole situation was.</span><br />

The writers have set up the sleeping giant, Richard <span style="line-height: 19px;">Carlisle,</span> as the next real villain now that Thomas and <span style="line-height: 19px;">O'Brien seemed to have settled down.</span></span><br />
