Using INDEX MATCH

Why INDEX MATCH?

VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP are much used by Excel users to look in the first column of an array and moves across the row to return the value of a cell. Their older brother, INDEX MATCH, allows you to look up values in a table based off of other rows and columns. And, unlike VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP, it can used on columns, rows, or both at the same time.
INDEX MATCH is not actually a standalone function, but a combination of Excel's INDEX and MATCH. Read below to understand how to use them together to utilize one of Excel's most powerful tool.

The INDEX function

Let's start with the overview of the INDEX function. Basically, it uses an index to choose a value from a reference or array.

=INDEX(range, row_num, [column_num])

It may seem hard, but it's easy once you tried using it. See example below.

On that example, "B2:B13" is the array and "3" is the row_num. This will return the value "aquamarine, bloodstone" as it is the 3rd value accordingly to row number in the range "B2:B13".

The MATCH function

The MATCH function searches for a specified item in a range of cells, and then returns relative position of that item in the range.

=MATCH(lookup_value, lookup_range, match_type)

Let's use the same example. This time, we will determine the position of the value "March" in the range "A2:A13".

This formula will return a value of "3" as the lookup_value "March" is the 3rd value in the range "A2:A13".
Important: The match_type parameter is a bit confusing, but is essential for the function to work. For now, always use "0" as match_type.

Using INDEX MATCH

=INDEX(range, MATCH(lookup_value, lookup_range, match_type))

To use both INDEX and MATCH in one formula, we feed the MATCH function to the row_num argument of the INDEX function.
On the above example, the row_num replaced by the MATCH function returns a value of "3" as the value "March" is the 3rd value in the range "A2:A13". The INDEX function will then find the 3rd value in the "B2:B13" range, thus returning the value "aquamarine, bloodstone".

Why INDEX MATCH?

No need to count.
You can lookup backwards.
No worries inserting columns.
No need to remember separate formulas for VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP.
More complex formulas.

Zeus: Master of Olympus is the fifth full title of the City Building Series developed by Impressions Games and published by Sierra Entertainment.

Like previous titles, Zeus focuses on the building and development of a city in ancient times, this time in Ancient Greece. It features some changes to the Caesar III engine, most notably the new housing blocks, now dividing "common" and "elite" housing from the start, and more detailed walkers.

Game mechanics
As with other games in the series, the player must build a city on an empty plot of land of variable size and resources. The percentage objectives were replaced by direct goals, such as treasury size, production rate, a monster slaying or conquering other cities.

Housing, services and industry
Food resources in this game are urchins, fish, pork, cheese, carrots, onions and wheat. Raw materials include wood (fortriremes and sanctuary building), bronze (armor and sculptures), marble (sanctuary building), grapes (wine), olives (olive oil) and fleece (which can be directly sold to citizens). It is even possible to coin currency - if a silver mine is available, the player can build up a mint which will produce a limited amount of drachmas yearly. Food distribution works a bit differently from the previous games. An agora is built on a road, and goods stands are placed on top of it. After the stand owner collects goods from a nearby granary or storehouse, a peddler will start roaming around roads distributing goods available.
Other services must be provided to members of the city, such as culture, health care, and maintenance. Culture is attained by building colleges to train philosophers, gymnasiums for athletes and drama schools for actors, which in turn go (respectively) to podia, stadia and theaters to entertain the city. Every year the Pan-Hellenic Games (including the Olympic Games every fourth year) are held, testing a different aspect of culture against that of the Greek world. Chances of winning are increased by the number of facilities and the potential aid of Apollo and cultural facilities. Health care is given by Infirmaries, and buildings are kept in good order by maintenance offices.
Housing has also been improved. Elite and regular housing are built separately and each requires and serves a different function. A regular house always occupies 2x2 tiles, contributes to the city's workforce and its residents have served as "rabble" to defend the city. The largest of these houses is the townhouse which requires food, fleece and olive oil. Elite houses are 4x4 tiles in size, must be built in high-desirability areas and well-stocked with food, fleece and olive oil. These houses eventually require wine, armor, and horses. They never contribute to the workforce, but provide elite soldiers to fight for the city.
Buildings no longer dispatch walkers to look for labor. As soon as a building is placed, it will have access to the city's labor pool. Working citizens are not differentiated by age. With a constant population, the amount of labor available remains constant for any amount of time, although changing the wages does change the available workforce as it encourages or discourages people from working.

Military
Rather than staging a permanent military forces, the citizens must be called to arms from their houses when military activity is required. A palace must be built first and will hold the standards of each company under the player's command. The number, type, and size of companies depends on the amount of citizens and the type of housing they live in. Citizens in common housing will serve as rabble - lowly soldiers who throw rocks at enemies. Elite houses receive if they provide hoplites armor, and horsemen if they receive wine and horses in addition to armor. These items are distributed by the Agora. In order for an Elite House upgrades to reach maximum it must be near or have access to a stadium.
While common citizens are called to war, they will not be able to work, decreasing the amount of labor available to the city. Elite houses do not contribute to the workforce, so calling residents to their arms will not impact the city's labor.
Towers may be built into walls and triremes may be constructed in wharves. Just like foot soldiers, towers and triremes are not active at all times, and must be manned if they are to function. This requires significant amount of labor.

Trade and politics
Trading is handled differently from the previous games. In order to trade, a trade building must be built for each city willing to trade. Caravans will only visit the Trade Post and trade ships will only visit the Pier dedicated to their home city. Additionally, the trade buildings have a large storage space attached to them. The trader will only buy and sell items from and to this space. The trade building will fetch the items it is told to export and deliver imported goods to buildings or warehouses needing them.
Cities in the world involved in a greater degree of politics. Each city may be an ally, enemy, vassal or colony. This status determines whether the city trades with the player, pays tribute or is obliged to fulfill requests. The player can request or demand goods from cities, send gifts and attempt to plunder or conquer the city. Rather than a common favor / kingdom rating, each city has its own favor towards the player, although these may be related (for example, attacking an ally will make the player more respect enemies while allies will respect the player less). The favor of a certain city determines what requests it is willing to fulfill. Favor can be increased by fulfilling requests from that city or giving them gifts of goods that the city needs. To plunder or conquer a city, only hoplites, horsemen or special forces may be sent - rabble can not leave the player's city. A conquered city becomes a vassal and must pay tribute. Colonies are established in cities that are parallel to the parent city during an adventure. They also must pay tribute. However, a colony or vassal that is not treated very well with rebel against the player.
When an enemy invades, the player has the option of surrendering, bribing the enemy or fighting to defend the city. If the player surrenders or attempts to fight but loses, he / she will be required to pay tribute to the attacking city. This continues until that city is beaten back (although being defeated twice means losing the game), or conquered. A successful defeat of an enemy permits the player to build a Commemorative Monument which is building a high-appeal. Even bribery is not regarded as an act of cowardice, the advisor tells the player that the bribe money was well spent and the Commemorative Monument can be built.

Mythology
Religion is referred to as mythology and plays a larger part in Zeus than in previous games. Gods and monsters have come to attack or defend the city, and heroes can be summoned to help against monsters or to be sent on quests.
The following gods (along with their blessings and anger), monsters and heroes take part in this game, with the gods ranked from strongest to weakest:

Each god's status is set to friendly or hostile for the duration of an adventure. The player with build sanctuaries to certain friendly gods. A sanctuary is built like a monument, an artisan from his guild is dispatched to the construction site, where he waits for marble, wood and statues to be delivered to progress with the construction. If the Sanctuary is finished and provided with occasional sacrifices, the god can be seen wandering the city occasionally blessing buildings, making them more effective. Certain sanctuaries come with additional resources; The Forge of Hephaestus harbors bronze deposits, the Arbor of Athena provides a grove of olive trees, the Garden of Demeter includes some arable land for farming, and the gates of Hades create silver mines. The sanctuaries of Zeus and Apollo give the player access to ORACULAR advice. If the city is invaded by foreign powers, Athena herself, Poseidon's Kraken and Hades's Cerberus will defend the city. Artemis and Ares grant two units of soldiers for the player to use as he sees fit - Amazons and Sparti respectively. If a player has a passion to a higher-ranking god, the god will defeat invading gods of lesser power. The exception is Aphrodite, who can bring to heel Ares and Hephaestus (as well as Hermes and Dionysus, because of the ranking). In the expansion, Hera is able to drive away Zeus. The player with the sanctuary and pray for help and the god might accept the prayer. For example, Dionysus provides wine when prayed to, while Ares marches with the army next sent to battle in another city.
An enemy god has appeared in the city and wreak havoc, destroying buildings or cursing. Usually the curses have the opposite effect of the same god's blessing.
The god now to send his / her monster to attack the city when the god is too busy. Some of the monsters can even come wild, not commanded by a god.
Heroes may be summoned to a city by building the appropriate Hero's Hall. Before a hero will visit the city, certain requirements must be met. Zeus: Master of Olympus received generally favorable reviews with a rating of 87 on Metacritic. [1] IGN reviewer Stephen Butts stated that he "had to tear [himself] away from [the game] to write the review." [2]
In May 2012 the game was re-released on GOG.com together with its expansion as a Part of the Acropolis bundle where it holds a 5-star rating.

Note: If nothing appeared from the search, open another process the repeat steps 3 to 4.

Step 5: Select all addresses and copy all selected items to the address list by clicking the red arrow

Step 6: Select the addresses and right click. Hover the pointer to 'Change record' and click 'Type'

Step 7: Change 'Length' from 12 to 16

Notice that the 'Value' increased in number. Take note of the last 4 array of byte i.e. 30 C7 34 12

Step 8: Click 'New Scan'. Enter 36 00 00 00 36 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 and click 'First scan'.
Repeat steps 5 to 7.

Take note again the last 4 array of byte for the new addresses. Copy the last 4 array of byte with the most frequency. In this case, I use D8 B7 34 12.

Step 9: Click 'New Scan' and enter the last 4 array of byte. Click 'First Scan'

Select all and copy selected items to the address list.

Step 10: Select all items in address list and right click. Hover the pointer to 'Change record' and click 'Value'.

Change the value from D8 B7 34 12 to 30 C7 34 12.

Upon changing the value, your farmville would go from

How do I Fully Use Google?

Most of us here in symbianize is using GOOGLE as the Primary SEARCH Engine, but the question is:

ARE WE REALLY USING THE FULL POTENTIAL OF THE GOOGLE SEARCH ENGINE?

Heres HOW:

Google has become THE icon of the internet. This search engine has so thouroughly transformed navigation of the internet that its name has become a verb. Yet most people do not know how to use this tool to its fullest extent. This TUTORIAL focuses on the advanced commands available on Google. For readability's sake I put search terms inside of <> aside from having it in BOLD Text. So entering 7900gt voltmod into the search field in google will appear in this FAQ as <7900gt data-blogger-escaped-voltmod="voltmod">.

Quotes - The simplest advanced command is the quotation. Google's engine typically ignores word order. Searching for <x a="a" b="b" c="c" y="y" z="z"> will return about the same results as <y a="a" b="b" c="c" x="x" z="z">. The results will be slightly different because of how google searches its servers, but it will still look for sites containing these elements regardless of order. Entering <"X Y Z A B C"> will search only for sites containing the string X Y Z A B C, with all elements included, in that order, one after the other.

site - Sometimes you will want to search a site that does not have a search function. Don't worry - google will come to the rescue. In order to search for the string overclock on symbianize.com, simply enter
<"overclock" site:symbianize.com>. No http:// or anything like that is required, just <{search terms} site:{URL}>. Don't forget the ":" between "site" and the url

filetype - Just as you can use google to search on a particlular site, you can use google to search for a specific filetype. To search for PDF files on Intel products search for <intel filetype:pdf="filetype:pdf">. The format for this search is <{search terms} filetype:{extention}>. Extentions do not require "." before them. To search for, say, a daa file - search <{st} filetype:daa>.
*NOTE - Google does not go all-out to index every file type. Searches for anything other than .pdf, .ps, .doc, .xls, .ppt, or .rtf (thos listed in advanced search under filetype) will not return vary many results.

inurl - Searches the URL of a site rather than its contents. To search for sites with overclocking related url's - enter <inurl: overclock="overclock">. This can be used in conjuction with other searches. For example, <intel inurl:="inurl:" overclock="overclock"> will search for sites with url's containing overclock for text containing intel.
Similar to this is the allinurl command. This will allow the user to search for more than one word in a url. The search <inurl: intel="intel" overclock="overclock"> will behave like the search above, and <allinurl: intel="intel" overclock="overclock"> will search for both intel and overclock in a site's url.

intext - the intext command searches the actual text of a website rather than its tags. It can get annoying when you search for a word/phrase - find a promising website - then find out that what you searched for is not actually on the site. The intext command solves this. The related allintext works in the same way as allinurl.

.. - the ".." command searches for ranges. Searching for any GPU in GeForce's 8 series can be challanging, so you can input <geforce 8500..8800="8500..8800"> to get results of any Geforce from the 8500 to the 8850.
*NOTE - This search will also search for 8501, 8502... It does not (to my knowledge) allow for incrementing.

- - the "-" or minus command excludes terms from a search. Let's say that you want to search for a game called "World War II" but you want the game and not the War. Many sites about the War will have the word Nazi in them. So search for <"World War II" -Nazi> to search for sites including "World War II" that do not contain the word Nazi.

~ - Including a tilde in front of a word searches for that word and its synonyms. A search for <~angry> will search for angry, mad, furious, etc.

OTHER GOOGLE TRICKS

Google cache - When the googlebot visits a web page, it takes a picture of it and stores it on its server. If you have the url of a site that has been taken down, google the url. If you are lucky, google has a cached image that you can view. This is also useful for looking for sites that have been changed recently.

In the right hands Google can be one of the internet's most powerful tools. Knowing exactly what google can do will make finding exactly what you want much easier.

There is a problem if there would be multiple alternatives that we can choose with regards to the highest EMV. To fix that problem, i modified the code to make it more flexible for multiple alternatives. Here’s the code:

The next thing we would be doing is to create a program that will generate the mode of a given data. By definition, mode is the number which appears most often in a set of numbers.. We would be using the code for arranging data from the previous topic. I’ll put the code below:

Welcome to my blog. Here in my blog, we will be converting mathematical equations to computer programs, specifically into visual basic for applications codes, even more specifically, using only few statements like loop, if, and operational statements. Note that the codes in the blog is just one of the possible codes we can use.

Questions, suggestions and comments are highly appreciated. You may want to post any questions regarding anything related to the topic.

Well, let’s start from statistics. In statistics, we have a term called median. And by definition, median is the middle number (in a sorted list of numbers). To find the Median, place the numbers you are given in value order and find the middle number. We will be doing a program where it will generate the median of a given group of data.

First, let’s start from the usual steps we do when doing a program using visual basic for applications. Let’s declare every variable we will be using. I will be discussing the variables as we go along. For now lets start from declaring the following variables:

Dim data() As Single

Dim sizedata As Integer

The variable ‘data’ represents the array of data and ‘sizedata’ represents the size. As you can see, ‘data’ still don’t have an exact array.

Next, we will input the size of the data. We won’t have too much problem if the size is known. But not all data groups have the same size. So we will be making a computer program where the user will input the size. In order for us to do that, we will be using the code below:

sizedata = InputBox(prompt:="enter the size", Default:=0)

Loop While sizedata = 0

I added a loop statement in the code to minimize bugs. Also, I have set the default value to zero (0).

Here’s what the code will show you:

After entering the data size. We will need to redimension the variable ‘data’. So we will be using the following statement:

ReDim data(1 To sizedata) As Single

Notice that we have set the dimension of the variable ‘data’. Example if ‘sizedata=3’, then we will have an array of data from 1 to 3.

data(3)

Next, we need to input the data in order for us to solve the median. So I’ll be using the following codes:

For indexdata = 1 To sizedata

data(indexdata) = InputBox("enter data " & indexdata)

Here’s what will be shown on the screen:

Next, we need to determine the data with the lowest value. Now we will be using conditional statements.

min = data(1)

For indexdata = 1 To sizedata

If min > data(indexdata) Then

min = data(indexdata)

End If

Next

Then we will be determine the element with the highest value. Here’s the code:

max = data(1)

For indexdata = 1 To sizedata

If max < data(indexdata) Then

max = data(indexdata)

End If

Next

Next we determin the range:

range = max - min

Remember to declare the variables ‘min’, ‘max’, and ‘range’.

Dim min as single

Now, we will be introducing more variables. The next step that we need to do is to count the number of elements with the lowest value. And in order for us to do that, we need to enter this code:

countmin = 0

For indexdata = 1 To sizedata

If min = data(indexdata) Then

countmin = countmin + 1

Next

Now we need to sort the data. Let’s start from the lowest. Then sort all the other elements using this code:

For indexsort = 1 To countmin

For indexdata = 1 To sizedata

sorteddata(indexsort) = data(indexdata)

For indexrange = 1 To range

For indexdata = 1 To (sizedata)

Next

Now we are done sorting the data. Just don’t forget to declare all the variables we have used. Now we can get the median already. But first, we need to settle a problem. We can have the median immediately if the data size is an odd number. But what if it’s an even? We just have to determine if the size is even or odd using this code:

halfint = sizedata / 2

halfsin = sizedata / 2

The variables represent the half of the value of the size. Basically, there would be no difference between the 2 except their data type. The first will be an integer and the other will be single. By doing so, there would be a difference in the 2 if the size is an odd number. Example:

sizedata= 5

halfint=3 (5/2)

halfsin=2.5 (5/2)

If halfsin is not equal to halfint, then the size is an odd number. Now just declare the previous variables.

Dim halfint As Integer

Dim halfsin As Single

We can now determine the median. I’ve decided to use a function for that. Just follow the code below:

median = getmedian(sorteddata(), sizedata, halfint, halfsin)

And for the function:

How to unlock Gunblader Profession?

Finish the arena. You must have the Mark of Champion in order for you to talk to Leonnile about gunblades. He is on the upper left side room in the inn. After talking to him, you will receive the Gunblading quest. All you have to do is to finish the arena once again. After finishing the Arena, talk to Leonnile again and you will be able to unlock gunblader profession.

How to unlock Elementalist Profession?
Unlock the Gunblader Profession first. Then finish the game. After the game reset, you will go back to the start where you will meet Calmon. Wait until you come to point in the game that you will be making a pact. There you will be able to unlock Elementalist Profession.

Inventory Full Trick
make all your items amount to 99, make no room for other items except for the equipments, this would make the probability of having a rare item in the "RANDOM ITEMS CHEST" that could be found in the ARENA, the left side CENTRAL LIBRARY, and from Francois,

save before you open the "RANDOM ITEMS CHEST", sometimes, it would prompt you "insufficient inventory space". just repeat the steps and eventually youwill be able to get an item from that chest.

How to enter Aquila's Nest? You need to kill all the BOSSES in the temple. There are 3 bosses, one the left side, at the bottom and at the right side.

After defeating all bosses, you may be able to enter AQUILA’S nest.
