I never thought I will fall in love with red lipstick. I never like red lipstick. It's just not my thing. I had bad impression with red lipstick and don't understand why other girls love red lipstick. For me, red lipstick only suitable for mature woman. Not for young woman.

But my thought about red lipstick completely changed right now! I kind of have an obsession with red lipstick. I still remember my first red (2012). I was at Estée Lauder trying on lipsticks. The make-up artist at the counter looked at me, suggested that first red and, frankly, couldn’t have been more spot on. I have never looked back. Red lips make me look so fresh.

Red lips are very much "in" right now, but is it really a "trend"? It has such a classic look that I'm not sure. I'm okay with calling it a trend. It's so elegant and edgy all at the same time. Maybe that's why I'm obsessed.

Finding the right red lipstick can be like finding a needle in a haystack.

But once you find your color, the world is yours.

Red lipstick is as timeless as, well, time. With a little mascara and some red lipstick, you are ready to go out. Polished in under two minutes. Save your a lot of your time but at the same time you look pretty. If you haven't try red lipstick, try it. Play with it. Find your red. See if you don’t feel ready to take on the world.

Some fancy tricks for you :

Put a thumb between your lips and press. This will keep lipstick from getting on your teeth

Blotting with tissue will help keep lipstick from smurging

Apply lipstick with an angled brush for a sharp and dramatic look

Dabbing loose transparent powder on lips then re-applying keeps lipstick matte and long-lasting

Lip "stains" are a great option if you want colour without the mess

Wear very little eye make-up. Your lips are the main focus here and just a little bit of mascara will do the trick.

Avoid darker shades of red if you have thin lips. They tend make them look smaller.

Wear your red lip with confidence.

One of my new year resolution is I want to get new penpals. I came across some really cool letter writing projects on the web and since I love writing letters and stationery, I'd like to start a snail mail project too.

I love snail mail. I still write letters and postcards to friends, but I'd love to write with people all over the world. I treasure all the packages that I received, and kept them in a beautiful box. It’s amazing to come home and find a beautiful letter in your mailbox. The letters always make my day so beautiful and warm. If you like sending and getting mail, please join my project! Please write a letter (or a little note or even a postcard) with a little information about yourself or just something random. It would be really nice if you could add a picture of something you like or a thing ( like the pictures above, I would love to get little collections! ) that maybe tells me something about you?

It's a new year. It's time to start again. New chapter. New storyline. Stop thinking about what you're going to do and start doing it. It's time to live your life and be who you are. Forget about about whatever happened in 2013 and just move on. Take risks and be yourself, you can only have one life and it's time to make the most of it. Make a new year's resolution and this time achieve it no matter what the cost is.

My new year resolution :

Drink a lot of water : Cut off all of sweet drink! Add lemon in plain water is the best solution to make my "plain" water taste better .

Snail mail : I love snail mail. I hope this year, I'll get new pen-pal. If you want to be my pen-pal, feel free to email me.

Books : I failed this resolution and I hope this year, I can achieve it. At least, I can finish one book in a month.

Piggy Bank : Save for adventure in the end of this year.

Be fit : I need to eat right and exercise! wake up girl!

Chapter 23 of 365 : To-Do-List before I hit 30!

As a young woman in her early 20s, I can honestly say that there are a lot of things that I want to try at least once during this decade and before I hit 30s! It is primarily the time where we transition into adulthood. Being 20 and young is no longer a valid excuse to do what you want. Life doesn’t get any easier and it is crucial that you use this time to position yourself in order to give yourself a competitive advantage in the future.

I don’t want the feeling of regret to take over my life later on. Sometimes I take life too seriously and do nothing even the opportunity to do what I want already in front of my eyes. I don’t want to look back several years from now and wonder why I was so “serious” or “stupid” to let it go easily when I was younger. These years are supposed to be the time of our lives, right? I found this list and try to accomplish it before I hit 30s!

So, here is the 20 things you need to do in your 20s a.k.a before you hit 30s! :

PHOTOGRAPHY BLOG // The Booklets - My filmphotograpy blog or sometime I will cheat with digitalphotography. I only upload one photo and I've 3 roll of films to develop. I'm new with photography especially with filmphotograpy. I'm not good with "lighting" even I know it's the most important in photograpy but I'll try my best to learn it. Take a look if you want :)

The Body Shop has had its fair share of collections and delicious scents over the years, but having recently tried quite a few of their newer products, I feel like they've upped their game even further and I have found myself so impressed with their products in terms of both skincare and cosmetics. The Body Shop has just released their newest collection : Honeymania! The Honeymania range has been created with moisture in mind and aims to soften, smooth and nourish skin with the natural goodness that comes from Honey. My initial fear was that the fragrance would be far too chemical smelling, but that was washed away with the first sniff! The range doesn't smell as sweet as I originally thought it would, it carries a really nice floral Honey Blossom fragrance with a subtle hint of sweet Honey that lingers on the skin beautifully. The Body Shop used wildflowers which really balances the scent and the end result is a delicate yet layered fragrance. It is perfection!

I always love high SPF sunblock or sunscreen especially for the tropical weather in Malaysia. (I'm sure a lot of subscribers will feel upset of the product sizes) because last time, I got Kosé Sekkisei trial set from Kosé is so much bigger than deluxe, slightly smaller than full size product and I expect I'll get like before. But when I think about the concept of a beauty box is to provide deluxe size samples for subscriber to try before they go for a full size product, I'm ok with this month trove. Beside that, I don't think you can easily get deluxe size sample from beauty counter except you buy their product. I think Vanity Trove has been improving month by month although I know they cannot satisfy everyone. I hope Vanity Trove don't take all the bad feedback as a demotivate and stop pitching for single brand box but instead take it as a motivation point to do better next time .

Just short update to wish Ramadan al-Mubarak to all my Muslim brothers and sisters. May Allah S.W.T grant us peace in our communities and ourselves through the increased remembrance of Him this Ramadan. May Allah S.W.T inspire us to remind ourselves and each other about our purpose in this temporary world so we can continue doing good and neglecting evil desires. And may Allah S.W.T accept our ibadah and forgive us for our sins. Ameen.

InshaAllah (God willing), Ramadan is going to be a "refresher" for me; a reminder that our main purpose in this world is to worship Allah the Almighty.

Sometimes , I think . No wait ! What am I talking about ? I think all the time . And I really think it might be doing more harm than good .

It's the hardest to think about humans though . It's hard to realize how absolutely human I am , and deal with how much disgust that makes me feel . Being human is not something I'd be proud of . We're too complicated for our own good ; we feel too much, think too much, try too hard, and are too selfish for our own good . And we justify it all with the simple comforting thought that says , "hey it's okay . It's normal , I'm only human" . Don't get me wrong , I'm not saying we can't be what we are . I just wish people (myself included) wouldn't use that as an excuse all the time just so we can stay and wallow in our own safety zones and boxed up minds .

I wish people didn't have to try so hard and feel so lonely . I wish people would stop looking at just the negatives and think about the positives that outnumber it . I wish I could do that . I also wish people would be less hypocritical and just say and do what they actually feel instead of doing something and saying something else to cover up for it . I'm really not excluding myself out when I say all this .

After all , I'm just as human as the rest of you . *scoff I guess there have just been quite a few encounters that I've had recently that's made me realize this . I'm not pointing fingers , but come on . No one is stupid here unless you think you can get away with being a two faced ass . It's really time to grow up and learn something from all the negatives you say you've experienced . Turn it into something good . I tried really hard . Me of all people . I tried . I just wish some of you knew what behaving like an adult meant . Look around you and see that it isn't just about the way one person feels . It's not just about the way you feel or the thoughts that you've convinced yourself is true . Sigh . I want to say more . But I shouldn't . You guys have heard too much of what goes on in my head . I will just swallow the rest .

We have higher buildings and wider highways , but shorter temperaments and narrower points of view . We spend more , but enjoy less . We have bigger houses , but smaller families . We have more compromises , but less time . We have more knowledge , but less judgement . We have more medicines , but less health . We have multiplied our possessions , but reduced our values . We talk much , we love only a little , and we hate too much . We reached the moon and came back , but we find it troublesome to cross our own street and meet our neighbors . We have conquered the outer space , but not our inner space . We have higher income , but less morals .

These are times with more liberty , but less joy .

With much more food , but less nutrition .

So, let's tell our families and friends how much we love them . Never pass up a chance at adding laughter and joy to your life .
