Before the session, give your massage therapist accurate health information and share your expectations.

Your massage therapist will probably use oils, lotions or powders to decrease friction on your skin. If you have allergies, tell your massage therapist.

Music might be played during your massage session. If you find music distracting, let your massage therapist know your preferences. The same goes for talking during your session.

Report any discomfort you experience during the massage session, whether it's physical or has something to do with the environment.

Provide your massage therapist feedback during the massage concerning pressure and speed of hand movement, for example.

Discuss and apprehensions you have about the massage therapy with your massage therapist. Remember, your massage therapist is a professional who is dedicated to the profession.

Remember, too, the therapeutic benefits of massage are cumulative, so the more often you get a massage, the better you will feel and the more quickly your body will respond.

Leslie: Not married. No children. I have three dogs named Tazz, Kami and Harlie. I also have one cat, Mandy.

AB: What do you like to do outside of the salon?

Leslie: I love to go shopping, be out on the lake and travel. The beach is my favorite!

AB: What is your favorite vacation spot?

Leslie: My favorite vacation spot would definitely have to be St. Maarten! It’s beautiful! Two places I would love to go to are Figi and Cabo!

AB: Why or how did you choose the beauty business?

Leslie: I don’t really think I chose the beauty world, I feel that it chose me. I have never wanted to do anything else; there was never another option for me! This is my passion. I live for making people feel beautiful on the inside and out!

AB: What is your favorite movie and/or TV show?

Leslie: My favorite TV show is The Bachelor/Bachelorette. Have far too many movies!

AB: If you were a celebrity, who would you be?

Leslie:

AB: What is your favorite food/restaurant?

Leslie: My favorite food is Mexican. I could eat Mexican every day!

AB: What do you enjoy doing most behind the chair/at your station?

Leslie: What I enjoy most behind the chair is, of course, making people feel and look beautiful. But also the relationships I build while doing so. There’s nothing like it!

AB: What do you like to read?

Leslie: I’m not much of a reader.

Leslie: I am just starting out my career as a cosmetologist and couldn’t be more ecstatic about it. I’m so excited and ready to see where the beauty business will take me!

Leslie: My hero is, of course, my mother. She is the most important, sophisticated & beautiful woman on the inside & out that I know. She means everything to me & has been there for me through thick and thin! I love her more than life! xoxo

Leslie: In five years I see myself, definitely still in the beauty world, with a great clientele, being very successful. Owning my own home, possibly married or heading in that direction!

Leslie: Sweets are my weakness! I’d have to say my favorites though are Chocolate Chip Cookies right out of the oven or any kind of candy!

AB: Where are you from?

Kristen: Madison, TN but now live in White House, TN.

AB: Are you Married? Have Children? Any Pets?

Kristen: Yes. I just got married on September 30^th to Shane Wilson. We have a furry baby named Sadie, she is the love of our lives!

AB: What do you like to do outside of the salon?

Kristen: Hang out with friends. We love watching movies at home on the weekends. I love to read any Chicken Soup for the Soul book and spending time with my family!

AB: What is your favorite vacation spot?

Kristen: Plenta Cana in the Dominican Republic, where we just had our honeymoon.

AB: Why or how did you choose the hair industry?

Kristen: As a little girl I always loved playing with hair! It all started with my Barbies and chopping their hair off.

AB: What is your favorite movie and/or TV show?

Kristen: Movies-I love Shawshank Redemption, also Pride & Prejudice. Love Dirty Dancing, Serendipity and I could go on and on..TV Shows-Unfortunately I watch House Wives and I love Juliana & Bill.

AB: If you were a celebrity, who would you be?

Kristen: Probably Reese Witherspoon. She seems to be a great mom and still manage to have an awesome career. Not to mention she’s super cute.

AB: What is your favorite food/restaurant?

Kristen: I love Panera Bread, Subway, and Mellow Mushroom. My favorite food is peanut butter. I also love pizza, but try to control that one...if I can. I also love cereal, I eat it every day along with peanut butter of course.

AB: What do you enjoy doing most behind the chair?

Kristen: I love coloring and cutting! I also love talking with my clients and getting to know them-I have made some great friends! I also love making people feel good about themselves.

AB: What do you like to read?

Kristen: Anything Chicken Soup for the Soul. I love all the sweet stories!

AB: What is your favorite product and why?

Kristen:

5 years-Hopefully have at least one baby and still doing hair!

10 years-Maybe two kids, so probably will be busy balancing doing hair and being a mom.

20 years-Oh, that’s a long time…hopefully traveling more with Shane and the kids. I’m sure I’ll still be doing hair, maybe just part time.

AB: What is your favorite dessert?

Kristen: I love almost anything with sugar. But my favorite is probably Chess Squares & also Strawberry Cake...YUM!

Jessie: My husbands name is Kevin. We have been married for 4 years. We have one dog named Rocky and he is a Boxer.

AB: What do you like to do outside of the salon?

Jessie: My husband and I like to spend time on the lake with our boat and we enjoy watching all kinds of movies.

AB: What is your favorite vacation spot?

Jessie: Recently we went to Smith Lake in Cullman, AL. The lake is so big and beautiful. So I would like to say Smith Lake and any beach.

AB: Why or how did you choose the beauty business?

Jessie: Growing up I always had an interest in hair. When I was in 2^nd grade I did a science fair project on oily and dry hair and which shampoo worked best and why. (I won 2^nd place that year!) So I guess I just figured out my calling and went to cosmetology school as soon as I could.

AB: What is your favorite movie and/or TV show?

Jessie: My favorite movie would be Father of the Bride I & II. As far as TV goes, I am a reality TV junkie!!

AB: If you were a celebrity, who would you be?

Jessie: The Duchess of Cambridge—AKA Kate Middleton. She is full of grace and elegance. She is also so beautiful.

AB: What is your favorite food/restaurant?

Jessie: Anything Italian or any kind of pasta!

AB: What do you enjoy doing most behind the chair?

Jessie: I love doing color and highlights. It can totally change someone’s look. Everyone always looks better with some sun kissed highlights!

Laura: I'm from the Northern VA/ Metro DC area. I moved to Nashville in November 2008.

AB: Are you married? Have children? Any Pets?
Laura: My husbands name is Joe and we celebrated 4 years of marriage in June. No children...yet! We have two precious Jack Russell Terriers, Roxy and Rolie. They are our two babies...so spoiled! ;)

AB: What do you like to do outside of the salon?
Laura: I like to create & design! I make a lot of decor for our house. I LOVE playing guitar, singing, having chill nights with friends around the fire pit with guitars and bongos. Playing Xbox 360, Super Nintendo and Kinect. I also love going downtown to Cafe Coco or JJ's and chilling with friends while playing board games. (& I love being outside!)

AB: What is your favorite vacation spot?
Laura: Really anywhere...I've never technically gone on a vacation haha but if I was going to go it'd be somewhere on a beach. I grew up 2 1/2 hours from VA Beach so I was there a ton growing up. I love the ocean! This lake thing here is hard for me :P

AB: Why or how did you choose to work in the beauty industry?
Laura: I love working around fashion and trends. Plus, I LOVE people so front desk is a great place for me, I get to talk to everyone who comes in the door! :)

Laura: Anything Organic! I'm a veggie/fruit eater. I don't really have a favorite restaurant...just because I don't like to eat out. But it'd be a cafe, I LOVE cafe food!

Laura: The Bible, Comic Books (Batman, Wonder Woman, Archie, etc.), The Purpose Driven Life, Self-Help Books and anything by Robin Jones Gunn!

Laura: Paul Mitchell "Hot Off the Press" I love it for flat ironing and curling. Plus it's a great heat protectant!

AB: How long have you worked at Aqua Bella?
Laura: Almost 2 1/2 years!

Laura: I can't name them all but My saviour, Jesus, Is my ultimate hero. My husband, my Dad and my best friends Mom, Mrs. Root ;)

Laura: I'm only 22 so I'm not exactly sure haha but...
5 years-have 1 child, big organic garden, and starting one of my dreams of owning a cafe.
10 years-have opened a coffehouse/cafe in Donelson and have a couple kids.
20 years-Kids going into Highschool and enjoying life with them, still own the cafe and being an awesome mom ;)

AB: What is your favorite dessert?
Laura: Gosh. I'm a sweets lover...Chocolate being the main attraction. I'd eat Chocolate Covered Strawberries any day and never get sick of them! :)

AB: What is your favorite time of year?
Laura: Fall and Winter! I LOVE the holidays, I love snow, I love cold nights around a fire! I love fall and winter clothing, it's the best!

AB: What is your favorite music?
Laura: Oh my. This is my favorite question! I have quite the list so I'll just leave you with a short version list. Katie-Anne: I read all the time! My most recent is The Shack, A Fire Fighter in the Family, The Family Man, Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, Vampire Academy and The Help. One of my favorites authors is Trish Milburn, who is an author here in Mt. Juliet.

Lisia: It is something I have always wanted to do. I started beauty business at 15 years old in high school.

Coming Soon to Mount Juliet!

I wanted to take this time to share with you a couple of things that are coming down the pike for us in Mt. Juliet. On Lebanon road in the shopping center where Painturos is located a Mexican restaurant called Los Compadres will be opening. Down the street in the Bicyclettes center there will be ballroom dancing lessons. Next to the Ace Hardware store on Mt. Juliet Road there is going to be a Japanese restaurant with hibachi grills as well as a sit down eating area. Corner Pub, owned by Jeff Rippy who also owns Rippy on Broadway and a few other Corner Pubs, will be opening at the end of May! It is a great restaurant!

A lot of retailers will be moving on to the Paddocks Place Shopping center that Walmart and Lowes are currently in. They include:

Academy Sports and Outdoors has bought 8 acres
Firestone Tires has started moving dirt on their property
Murphy oil gas station

In the Publix on the south side of town there will be a Roadhouse subs and Farm Bureau Insurance. Kenny is also talking to Starbucks and Bob Evans.

There will be a groundbreaking for a new McDonalds going into the lot across from the new Wilson Bank & Trust. Wow! A lot is going on in Mt. Juliet! We are so blessed to have Kenny Martin out there pounding the pavement for us recruiting these wonderful businesses to our area. I will keep you posted on what else is coming to our area!
