Yes.. the signs are most encouraging! I spent a couple of dives over the weekend specifically drifting over scallopy areas...
Lots of life and growth starting to emerge on the areas that have been dredged hard. I watched the scallop divers unloading last night and thought how much easier their life will be in a little while!

Now longing for the winter storms to get rid of the lines of stones that mark where the last dredgers went.

Lots of brittle stars, whelks and queen scallops on the areas I explored on Saturday, and the areas by the Baggy are all nicely ridged up 'potato field' style again - long may they stay like it!

And a good one it was too... five dives - Friday Saturday and Sunday... Just got in as it was blowing up on Sunday evening.

Cant say the catches were anything special, but the vis was pretty reasonable.

Enjoyed the sight of the Illustrious steaming into Lyme Bay right by the Baggy twice in quick succession on Saturday afternoon, as well as a single Red Arrow practicing overhead just before.

Just have to perfect my bass fishing technique now.... Anyone offer any advice on that?

I am looking for a dive and hoping for a buddy next Sunday 7 Sept, weather permitting. Out of Portland has spaces on dives to Aeolian Sky, killer early start tho! Any easier suggestions? Shore dive or boat.

Well I was up for it...perfect diving weather too. If there's a last minute change of heart or a plan B let me know! I need about 2 hrs to get to West Bay. PS I think the clock on this forum is 24 hours out!

Hi Mike,

The time is adjusted to you based on your GMT time zone settings. There is a option to change your time zone in the "Your Account" section of the site. I've changed yours for you so it should be all good now

Now that was a great weekends diving... the only casualty?? A sunburnt armpit...... If I will hold on to the tubes with my arm down and forget to put any sunblock on it...

Culminated in a drift over High Ground late on Sunday evening, and sat there in the water waiting to be picked up amidst a flaming purple and orange sunset.. What could be better??

Anyway.. fridge was well filled... and is well on the way to being emptied again..... Might even have to suffer chicken again if this wind keeps blowing... AAAAAARRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
