Cosmetic Acupuncture

Facial rejuvenation acupuncture (also known as 'non surgical face lift') includes a whole body treatment. The aim of the therapy is not only to resolve problems at the surface, but also to address the internal imbalance that is causing the problem in the first place. For example, in Chinese Medicine, a lack of tone in facial muscles is due to a weakness in the internal organ system relating to the spleen. Therefore, in addition to stimulating the facial muscles themselves, the practitioner will also strengthen the system at its root, so that sagging is less likely to recur. This whole body approach to rejuvenation provides lasting results and many report that they not only start looking better, but also feel better, sleep better, have improved digestion and are relieved of aches and pains. What are the benefits? With cosmetic acupuncture the face muscles are toned, so facial expression is not as restricted as it is with botox. The needles stimulate and promote natural collagens. This means the skin fills out wrinkles in a totally natural manner and without loss of mobility or expression. This stimulation also makes the skin more vibrant and gives a natural "glow" that is difficult to achieve through botox or surgical means. How many treatments will I need? Food intolerance test food list updated

The food intolerance test has been updated. A few people were showing a very mild intolerance to kola nut, but with so little information available on what foods this is added to and why, no real action could be taken to avoid further symptoms. Cola nut has now been replaced by tea, which is very common in the British diet and should an intolerance to tea occur, definite action can be taken. If you do have a kola nut intolerance, it is likely to be very mild. However, avoiding it is very difficult. The most information that I've been able to glean is "Kola nuts and kola extract are used in the manufacture of soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, candy and nutritional supplements" (ref).
