Mercury and Mars align for Obama's State of the Union but Saturn Gets in the Way

Since the commencement of this remarkable new moon cycle in Aquarius on January 23rd. @ 2:39 AM EST or 7:39 AM UT there hasn't been a dull moment for everyone including our leaders. Mars just stationed yesterday in hyper-critical Virgo which of course is the sign most associated with service and jobs. So here is my segway
into tonight's speech and the chart below set for 9:11 PM EST when Obama started speaking and he didn't finish talking and gesturing till 10:15 PM EST. Transiting Mars in Virgo now retrograde and applying to a close conjunction with Barack's natal Mars in the sign of the working class. Just a preview he was realistic about job loss during his administration yet exhorted and encouraged the weary masses.

Tonight's state of the union speech by given by Barack Obama with deft and scripted form, rhythm and cadence matched the current planetary changes in step. Obama mimics the culture of the 1930's when Uranus and Pluto were also square like today's massive time of upheaval. During the depression of 2012, we have Saturn the lord of the 10th house and Capricorn in a powerful TSQ with Mercury (in Capricorn) and Jupiter (in Taurus). No matter what Obama says we are in a crisis of delays, freezes and heavy restriction.

The Chart Below has Virgo rising (craftsmanship) with Mars right at the ascending angle. From an horary standpoint, the speech began on a Mars day and a Solar hour (great for a vigorous leader) Mercury - the orator and messenger is the Almuten of the first house. The timing is great but the oratory is hackneyed.

Like a roman statesman fueled by confidence & arrogance knowing that his opponents are still not ready to take him down, he blew his own horn about the "end of the Iraq war" and his part in the fantasy demise of Bin Laden . "For the first time in two decades, Osama bin Laden is not a threat to this country." Notice in the chart above that Ceres and Uranus are angular in Aries with he 7th house adding a heroic element of the warrior's success or what it appears to be. Both Uranus-Ceres are also closely trine Obama's natal Mercury in the rock-star sign of Leo. His ego jumps out first thing.
Along with Obama's natal Juno (partnership) in aggressive and dominant Aries is near the Ceres-Uranus transit in the 7th where the obvious alliance he has to the High Tech industry including the likes of Apple and Facebook. It was hard to miss Steve Jobs's widow, Laurene Powell Jobs, sitting with First Lady Michelle Obama at tonight's State of the Union address.

Then kept up the hope-change of getting those precious jobs back to US. " you can do to bring jobs back to your country, and your country will do everything we can to help you succeed." Another populist speech filled with tired rhetoric and cliches
does nothing to really help the American people.

Obama Bets the Environment
Unfortunately, Obama is willing to risk our environment to create jobs by supporting
the use of hydraulic fracturing, which injects a mix of water, sand and chemicals underground.
Obama Backs Fracking to Create 600,000 Jobs, Vows Safe Drilling The reality is that it is proven by our own government that hydraulic fracturing cause earthquakes. So not only is Obama going to open up the off shore waters to oil exploration per transiting Mars on top of his natal Mars while opposing Venus now in Pisces (gulf waters and vulnerable oceans).

The nodes transiting in Sag. in the State of the Union 3rd. house of education, teachers and schools and Gemini near Obama's natal Astraea in the public house of promises for educators. One of the major alignments tonight which nailed the hard realistic perspective many feel yet offered practical solutions was transiting Mercury in Capricorn thru the 5th. house of tonight's event which represents enjoyment, fun, entertainment. This actually is used to deflect the conjunction Barack's natal planet of accountability-responsibility, Saturn. I say that because the transiting Sun in Aquarius is near Obama's expansive confidence and natural diplomacy per Jupiter in his natal chart. Adding the timing of perhaps a professional astrologer or just the natural as transiting Pallas-Moon-Neptune in the oratory's sixth house. These three bodies are all near Obama's point of destiny relating to past gifts S Node in Aquarius. The Sixth House (Mercury is lord and Mars is in synch) relates to service, the 6th House rules workers, the laboring classes, unions, labor organizations, wage conditions, employment and unemployment..
Along with police, civil service, issues around national defense. Obama thinks he is channeling Teddy Roosevelt in saying that no options are off the table when it comes to Iran.
