City of Orlando Streets and Drainage operators Tim Allen and Mike Wilkerson were leaving their office on Wednesday, June 20th, 2012, when they noticed smoke coming from the street. Tim dropped his cup of coffee and jumped a fence to get to his Aquatech B-15 when he saw a civilians van on fire. He drove the B-15 down the street toward the flames. The Orlando Police Department had arrived on the scene, but the Fire Department had not yet arrived. Mike operated the truck while Tim took the hose from the B-15 and began spraying water between the windshield and the hood, and also into the grill of the van. In less than two minutes, the fire was out. Shortly after, the Fire Department arrived and checked to make sure the fire was completely extinguished. The Orlando Police Department, the van owner, and the Orlando Fire Department thanked Tim and Mike for their assistance.
