If you are a tourist and you are looking to visit a new place, then never count out the spots in Asia. The continent as we know is rich with many stories and is full of places to visit. The history of Asia is mind-blowing, and if you ever visit the place you will get to know why.

You can easily begin your journey by reaching the Asean countries first—like what many tourists do. In fact, if you are in Malaysia, then you can also get a glimpse of what Asia is all about. This is especially true if you visit the island of Langkawi.

How to reach the island of Langkawi:

If you are going to visit Malaysia, then automatically your first destination will be Kuala Lumpur. And, as soon as you land at KLIA, you will be spoilt for choice in terms of selecting a transport mode. In order to reach Langkawi quickly, you can easily grab a flight or rent a car and drive your way to the ferry spot to catch a boat to the island.

Furthermore, you can also select various other means of transport to reach your destination too.

Once you are at Langkawi, there are many options for you again. You can easily opt for easybook Langkawi car rental in order to roam around the island. There are many companies which provide cars of all types and all budget and most service providers are very immaculate with their service.

Langkawi is full of natural landscapes:

One thing you will see and realise when you roam around Langkawi in your car is that the place is full of landscapes and natural habitats. Be it the famous Langkawi Sky Bridge or the impeccable Pulau Payar Marine Park, all these places are so popularly visited by many tourists because of their natural appeals.

Even the Telaga Tujuh Waterfalls and the Taman Lagenda Langkawi are the natural wonderlands of the Mother Nature in the city of Langkawi. The city is actually on a hilly region with tropical flora and fauna, and amazing climate; hence the drive around the city is also very temping. If you ever come to Langkawi, you should always drive and make most of the fine roads that the region has to offer to its tourists.

Get in touch with other creations of the Mother Nature:

Another great thing about Langkawi is that you can easily find various animals and creatures in and around the city. There are some specific places where you can see specific animals. For example the famous Langkawi Sanctuary or the Langkawi bird paradise, which is home to more than 2500 types of birds from all around the world. The Gunung Raya is famous for its foxes and different types of monkeys and finally you can also spot various sea creatures at the Langkawi underwater world. You can drive to all these destinations by your rental car in a matter of hours.

One of my friends advised and explained me the fact that in case I fail to board a trip to Bintan, Batam and Desaru from Singapore, and then I will be on the way to miss out a load of fun and adventure. Apart from all, good food and best shopping sites will also be far away from me. Also, I was explained properly about the values of hiring a ferry to go for a tour.

Excellent Trip from Singapore through Ferry

As it was the first time, we planned for a trip to Bintan, Desaru and Batam from Singapore. We packed our bags before fetching a confirm ticket in our hands in order to have an uninterrupted journey. Fortunately, we were able to book the tickets online and get easybook car rental in Kuala Lumpur readily approached for our trip. We were successful in visiting the coat of Johor after successful boarding of a ferry.

Though Desaru is a small resort, but holds some interesting activities to do similar to a caveat. After all, it is considered to be among the peaceful places for staying people of chin-chai type. As we were not able to find out another no frills trip in the outskirts of Singapore, we decided to visit Desaru for fetching a relaxing as well as peaceful weekend with the family.

Interesting Activities in Bintan, Desaru and Batam

Some of the interesting activities found by us in Bintan, Desaru and Batam can be easily explained in a nutshell as under:

Starting from the Desaru Beach, we were successful in engaging in various water activities like sports. Some of the most common sports enjoyed included snorkeling along with surfing. We hired banana boat as well as jet skiing for an adventurous trip. Really, we enjoyed the beauty associated with water in a natural way. Our dreams came really true! Till date we used to observe the same in television and movies. But when did it practically, were really overwhelmed with joy.

My parents preferred to stay on land due to which they chose to go for excursions with their grand children to the Ostrich Wonderland, Fruit farm and birds located nearby the sea beach. To my surprise, each and everybody enjoyed that trip with full of energy.

The next day we sailed for Bintan and Batam from Desaru sea beach. In short, we took a short drive towards the Kota Tinggi which is famous for its Lombong falls. As there were lots of wading as well as swimming pools nearby, children enjoyed this trip a lot. It is shallow and safe plus always comprised of three-to-four experts to prevent children from getting drained. The continuous flow of cascading waters kept the kids entertained for hours.

Afterwards, we headed towards the crocodile Farm where we were able to catch the glimpses of those carnivorous creatures lively. Finally, the trip concluded with the Firefly Valley where we caught the exotic views.

Butterworth is a prominent town in Penang, Malaysia. It is known for its temples and birds. As an avid nature lover, I decided to visit Butterworth from India. I live in crowded city of Mumbai, Maharastra, India. Since, I had 25 days of unpaid leave left for the current financial year, I felt that it would be fruitful to visit Butterworth since it is located close to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I booked my flight with Malaysian Airlines as it has reliable customer service along with additional facilities.

Penang Bird Park Entrace

The international airport of Mumbai is often crowded with people from various regions of India. I felt quite relieved after checking in my luggage with the airline. The seats inside the aircraft were comfortable and cushy. I kept my handbag over head luggage compartment and sat along with an American co passenger. She was travelling on a company assignment to Kuala Lumpur. The meal served inside the aircraft was great as it consisted of rice, lentils, chicken, salad, desserts etc. Though, it’s usually same in other flights but I preferred the taste in Malaysian Airlines.

The plane reached Kuala Lumpur International Airport on time. The view from the top was great as the whole city emerged as a shiny crystal. I landed at Kuala Lumpur safely and opted for rental car as it is quite easy to wander around with a transport of your own. The car was fully fueled and I drove it straight to Butterworth in Penang. The fresh air of Penang helped me to settle down in a new atmosphere. I rent a car in malaysia to De’ Garden Hotel Butterworth. It is one of the finest hotels located in Lorong Cempa in Butterworth, Penang. It has more than 120 rooms and most of them were booked by tourists. The hotel is located close to Butterworth ferry and bus terminal. My room inside the hotel had flat screen tv along with wifi and air con facilities.

The room was fabulous with huge closet and archaic windows. I unpacked my luggage and took a quick shower as I was feeling hungry. There were several restaurants outside my hotel. Some were close while other were quite far. I drove my car to Pantai bersih Seafood restaurant. The restaurant is located quite close to beach which makes it as one of the favorable restaurant for tourists. The menu is quite pricey but the food is delicious. I ordered crab curry along with shrimp paste. The dish was so delicious that I gorge it whole. Later, I walked around the restaurant for digestion as my tummy was quite full and I felt that it would be wise to walk on the beach as the breeze was cool and the sound of the splashing water mesmerized me completely.

Next day, I headed towards the bird park. The bird park was really charming as there were hundreds of species of birds from throughout the world. I clicked several photographs of birds in the aviaries. I admired the design of the park as it was designed specifically for the birds so that they can roam around freely and enjoy the cascading water of artificial waterfalls. Moreover, it has separate enclosure to feed the birds personally. It was really an amazing experience for me as I never saw such a wide variety of birds in my life. It is said that the Bird Park has more than 300 species from around the world. Its strategic location helps tourists to reach it easily. The geo designed domes of the Bird Park is another attraction to watch. I really enjoyed my stay at Butterworth.

Birds are one of the wonderful creatures in nature. As a bird watcher in Malaysia, I planned a trip to Kuala Lumpur along with my friends. We all were quite passionate about bird watching as we had opened a bird watching club of our own in Penang, Malaysia. As a frequent traveler, I opted for rental car along with my friends.

As planned, we drove off towards Kuala Lumpur from Penang through North South Expressway and E1. We reached Kuala Lumpur within 5 hours due to frequent traffic jams in the city. We travelled around 360 kilometers from Penang to Kuala Lumpur. It is said that Kuala Lumpur Bird Park is one of the astonishing place to visit as compared to other attractions in the city.

The Bird Park has more than 3000 species of birds along with 200 foreign species. The park is designed in an innovative way as it has natural waterfalls for the birds to relax during the hot weather and huge trees to provide them shade during peak hours.

There were different types of birds such as ducks, hornbills, eagles, owls, ostrich etc. These birds were protected from human influence and bird hunters. Moreover, most of them were provided with proper hygiene and comfort.

The bird park was maintained in a great way by the Malaysian authorities as they took special care for all species of birds along with foreign and locals.

They constructed a special chamber for bird Watching as it consists of a wooden platform for people to stand and observe the birds through their binoculars. We took several photographs of rare and endangered bird species. The Bird Show in the amphitheatre is one of the best events of Kuala Lumpur Bird Park. Visitors from all over the world come here to watch the unique bird show.
