This can be seen from I 71. I am not sure that they leave the duck up year round but it is there in August getting ready for the Rubber Duck Regatta.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6jXOWWzCztY/UEEDNPWrdFI/AAAAAAAABXg/gB598cMwf2k/s1600/DSC04792.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6jXOWWzCztY/UEEDNPWrdFI/AAAAAAAABXg/gB598cMwf2k/s320/DSC04792.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><span id="goog_1183964533"></span><span id="goog_1183964534"></span><br />In Cincinnatti, the rubber duck is the symbol for The Rubber Duck Regatta. It is where the Freestore Foodbank hosts The Rubber Duck Regatta during Riverfest (The end of summer). This usually takes place the first week of September.<br /><br />People buy small rubber ducks and all the ducks are dropped in the Ohio River during the Riverfest. The owner of the Duck that crosses the finish line first wins a huge prize, one year it was a car. Then there are smaller prizes given out also.<br /><br />There have been as many as 142,000 small ducks dropped in the river. The Freestore Foodbank uses the money it makes to feed hungry families throughout Greater Cincinnatti.<br /><br />Are We There Yet!http://www.blogger.com/profile/17476976305383634060noreply@blogger.com21tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2078136954941550868.post-9286185605257370862013-04-26T11:31:00.000-04:002019-06-27T16:55:05.550-04:00Red Rock Canyon<br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/--JpG_8ZEuWw/T1cQwlBx0NI/AAAAAAAAArk/4GjPMDo8G3I/s1600/001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/--JpG_8ZEuWw/T1cQwlBx0NI/AAAAAAAAArk/4GjPMDo8G3I/s320/001.JPG" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Add caption</td></tr></tbody></table><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-YFuc54mLjXA/T1cRO3ZVSeI/AAAAAAAAArs/tH3TGnCZh64/s1600/026.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-YFuc54mLjXA/T1cRO3ZVSeI/AAAAAAAAArs/tH3TGnCZh64/s320/026.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VmPlC_Y8BNE/T14kmwqLDJI/AAAAAAAAAus/GeS52KwVa-8/s1600/Red+Rock+Cannyon++2009.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VmPlC_Y8BNE/T14kmwqLDJI/AAAAAAAAAus/GeS52KwVa-8/s320/Red+Rock+Cannyon++2009.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_VpjP-Zq114/T14kpyEUxmI/AAAAAAAAAu0/SZXH-ZAQxd8/s1600/Mountains+in+Las+Vegas+Feb.+2009.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_VpjP-Zq114/T14kpyEUxmI/AAAAAAAAAu0/SZXH-ZAQxd8/s320/Mountains+in+Las+Vegas+Feb.+2009.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nnhG7mYuMmY/T14kuUKGPKI/AAAAAAAAAu8/CBIHVPTUIKU/s1600/Las+Vegas+mountains+February+2009.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nnhG7mYuMmY/T14kuUKGPKI/AAAAAAAAAu8/CBIHVPTUIKU/s320/Las+Vegas+mountains+February+2009.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-OpvLcOl3uJ8/T14kxErWu4I/AAAAAAAAAvE/Nu7Cb1BvCpo/s1600/Las+Vegas,+Nevada.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-OpvLcOl3uJ8/T14kxErWu4I/AAAAAAAAAvE/Nu7Cb1BvCpo/s320/Las+Vegas,+Nevada.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-52wX-C_N_Yo/T14kxmZe6AI/AAAAAAAAAvM/xT3IpbCj85Y/s1600/Dennis+on+Terrys+Birthday+2009+in+Las+Vegas.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="219" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-52wX-C_N_Yo/T14kxmZe6AI/AAAAAAAAAvM/xT3IpbCj85Y/s320/Dennis+on+Terrys+Birthday+2009+in+Las+Vegas.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QtI2YUK_jMU/T14lHYi5kdI/AAAAAAAAAvc/JgsFUS1BLQo/s1600/Las+Vegas+2009.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="138" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QtI2YUK_jMU/T14lHYi5kdI/AAAAAAAAAvc/JgsFUS1BLQo/s320/Las+Vegas+2009.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CQj-e8Os5A0/T1cQqlZnBBI/AAAAAAAAArc/PY08fB31DT0/s1600/026.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CQj-e8Os5A0/T1cQqlZnBBI/AAAAAAAAArc/PY08fB31DT0/s320/026.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div>Are We There Yet!http://www.blogger.com/profile/17476976305383634060noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2078136954941550868.post-36075905052598098062013-04-13T09:07:00.001-04:002013-04-13T09:07:36.446-04:00Cleveland Botanical Garden ~ Cleveland Ohio Most Botanical Gardens I have been to are ho hum and not very enjoyable for the kids. So much for getting away.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">While we were in Tunica, we stopped into <a href="http://arewethereyettravelblog.blogspot.com/2012/10/gateway-to-blues-visitor-center-tunica.html" target="_blank">The Gateway To The Blues Visitor Center</a>, while there, my Hubs found some Pecan Oil for sale that was produced by a local pecan orchard <a href="http://www.deltapecan.com/index.aspx" target="_blank">Delta Pecan Orchard.</a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">When I found out they were in the next town over Tutwiler, Mississippi, I wanted to go see the pecan orchard.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0ZCAOKohWVE/UO3uhedtebI/AAAAAAAACWk/fUvO8LjF9v0/s1600/021.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0ZCAOKohWVE/UO3uhedtebI/AAAAAAAACWk/fUvO8LjF9v0/s320/021.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Of course it being winter, I only got to see bare trees but they own something like 150 acres in pecan trees. There is more, but I only took this one picture.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I also found sugar free cookies here that is sweetened with Agave instead of sugar. I can do agave but sugar is something I stay completely away from.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vQ0KWS2WuaM/UM9T4tOA3oI/AAAAAAAACP4/6tbvAh4ibcA/s1600/DSC05535.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vQ0KWS2WuaM/UM9T4tOA3oI/AAAAAAAACP4/6tbvAh4ibcA/s320/DSC05535.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7sDuUT0hv9s/UM9VbONKCbI/AAAAAAAACQI/54gYumg31TI/s1600/DSC05550.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7sDuUT0hv9s/UM9VbONKCbI/AAAAAAAACQI/54gYumg31TI/s320/DSC05550.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">When I say this place has everything.... I meant it. This is a disk that keeps your brown sugar from clumping. Even though I eat totally sugar free, My Hubs still eats sugar and loves brown sugar on his oatmeal in the mornings. This little disk helps keep it soft. I only paid like $3 for it.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-etx_pTCpeAI/UM9TxBcMAYI/AAAAAAAACPw/Fg49eBXuW7M/s1600/DSC05529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-etx_pTCpeAI/UM9TxBcMAYI/AAAAAAAACPw/Fg49eBXuW7M/s320/DSC05529.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This is part of the Cheese Factory above.
