What is the focus of your blog?

My main focus is to share my knowledge I acquired from my life journey in different fields. I like to share or make awareness about the knowledge, I learned from my life journey which includes religious matters, environment, political various other current affairs, technology, and blog related information.

How did you get into blogging? What made you choose this path?

It is a big story, in fact, I was a blogger without a blog of my own LOL. I am sure you may laugh it loud by reading this statement! I started my so called blogging journey almost 7+ years back. I was a blog comment author on different niche sites on different platforms like Google’s Blogger.com WordPress, Yahoo’s Associated Content, Google’s Knol platforms and few others. Seeing my activities on the internet one of my colleagues told me:

Brother, you have the talent to write and why don’t you start a blog of your own and start writing.

He suggested (to) me Google’s blogger.com and that led me to do a search and found how to start a blog.

What do you know now that you wish you knew when you first started your business?

A lot of things I really missed in the beginning of my blogging journey, the major one in the list is having a good self-domain with a good keyword well stuffed with it. How nice it would have been if I knew this secret in the beginning of my blog journey.

What is your most proud blog related achievement? How did it affect you and/or your business?

For this too, I can give you a good number of blog-related achievements. Of course, that is related to the monetary benefits of my blogging. It is the monetary benefits I received from various platforms, especially when I first received my Google payment via AdSense.

Then, of course, another major one to mention is the cash Award received from Kingged dot com an Internet Marketing platform, and there are various other giveaways I received via my blogging journey. All these benefits or achievements encouraged or affected me to go on with my blogging business, Oh, no my blogging journey, I do not want to call or label this a business instead a journey LOL

Please share a blog post that you want to highlight? Why did you choose this one?

As I mentioned elsewhere on the internet especially on the #philipscom pages and in some interviews, I started my blogging journey as a blog commentator. Commenting on others blog was my main business in the beginning of my internet use.

So I always like to say about this experience and I would like to mention one such post in this regard. That is about the post under the title “The Power of Blog Comments” This is later published in the pages of Huffington Post, LinkedIn, Medium and various other platforms.

How do you manage time to run your business efficiently?

Before entering into the blogging journey actively I used to get up by 4 in the morning, spent an hour in meditation and Bible reading/study and then enter into the daily routine. The 9 to 5 job and back home by 6 and some blog reading and writing etc for some time almost one or two hours then go to sleep by 11 PM.

That experience was really a great one in my entire life. But sad to note that, this experience was totally changed after entering into the full-time blogging journey. That routine becomes a flexible one now and the getting up time totally changed according to the availability of my clients elsewhere on the other side of the planet. When it is morning in my country (India) the other part they find time to retire to their beds.

What aspects of your business do you want to learn more about?

Of course, the technical side of it is the one I am very poor, even after few years of journey in this field with the own domain I am still a baby in this area and some of my online friends are my help in this area. So I still need to learn a lot in this aspect.

When you aren’t working, what do you like to do for fun?

As I am a ferocious reader from my childhood and in fact, that reading habit leads me to the field of writing. I used to read a lot in my childhood days and that hobby still continues with a slight change with the change in the lifestyle and the advanced technology.

These days I use the internet and other free available reading material via kindle and other media like blogging platforms. Yes, when I am not working I do read a lot of material especially on the blog related SEO like subjects. Of course, along with it I read the print media the newspapers, weeklies, and Magazines in my leisure time or say when I am not working.

What else do you want us to know about you?

I started my writing journey by using my native language Malayalam and even now I have a Malayalam blog too. I do translate articles and books from the English language to the Malayalam language. I take up this type of job as a part-time job, I have translated a few books and booklets of some of the well-known English Christian writers.

Even now I accept translation jobs from English to Malayalam. I will translate it and publish those pages into Malayalam pages for a nominal fee. I will do a rigorous promotion of their posts on various social media and blog pages.

Yes, I want to start a blog of my own. But how to make a blog? This was the question when I thought of writing about my interesting subject. As I am interested in entertainments like movies, live theater, concerts, and various other related activities. I love all live entertainments and am very much interest in sharing with others. I can share my enthusiasm and get my views out there for all to see. Book clubs or any other similar things don’t interest me but discussions about live entertainment and various other similar activities I like most and now that’s something different!

Search On The Internet

Keeping this in mind I did a search on the internet to find a solution to this and am stunned to found a ton of information available on the world wide web on this subject. I came to know that thousands of blogs are created every day and many millions are live now on the internet. This information one can read on the sites like Blogger.com, WordPress.com, Google Plus and Various other free platforms.

Searching For A Free Platform To Make A Blog

Using a free service was the best choice for me as this is a ‘just for fun’ project. I have noticed that now anyone can start a blog of their own without much effort and money. There a good number of free platforms which allow you to begin. Platforms like Google's blogger.com is one among many free platforms. To start with all you need to have is an email account in Gmail. There are various other platforms which also provide somewhat similar facilities on free of cost, one such platform is WordPress.com. Also, I came to know that the various disadvantages with the free platforms and the features they provide. But if things progress I might look at swapping to a self-hosting platform which would be more secure (the host company can’t shut me down if they don’t agree with my reviews!!).

Create A Domain Name For Your Own

My first step was to create a domain name. My free host domain must be added after my site name as in ‘mydomainname.freehostname.com’ but that doesn’t bother me for now. The host will have final control over what I post, so if they don’t like what I’m doing they can close me down if they feel like it. As I intend to keep things legitimate I can’t see that happening, but you never know! If I change to a self-hosted service I’ll lose the extra domain name and be able to use ‘mydomain.com’ as I will be paying the host for my freedom – that can come later!! I can also add permalinks, where I make money in return for placing a link to a company website on my blog, or even commission from an ‘affiliate link’ (an agreement between me and a commercial company).

Blog design, Free Themes, And Plugins

Designing the blog is where it gets fun. I get to decide which shows should feature first, where and how to post my reviews, whether my readers can contribute and make comments, and which shows to feature in the upcoming schedule. When designing a blog, you can choose from free themes and plugins, or pay for a larger choice (Premium Themes). If you choose to use premium themes you will get loads more features for your site design. Premium themes are usually updated a lot more frequently than free themes because it’s in the developers’ interest to provide the best service they can. You also don’t get links to unwanted (‘spammy’) sites which might not go down well with Google and affect your search ranking!

Logo Design - Last But not the Least In making a blog

ആരാധനയെപ്പറ്റി പലര്‍ക്കും പലവിധ ചിന്തകള്‍ ആണുള്ളത്. ചിലര്‍ക്ക്, ഞായറാഴ്ച് ആരാധനക്ക് പോയില്ല എങ്കില്‍ മറ്റുള്ളവര്‍ തങ്ങളെപ്പറ്റി എന്ത് ചിന്തിക്കും! ആ സഹോദരന്‍ അല്ലങ്കില്‍ ആ സഹോദരി എന്തു വിചാരിക്കും എന്ന ചിന്തയായിരിക്കും. ചിലര്‍ കൂട്ട് സഹോദരങ്ങളെ കണ്ടു സംസാരിക്കുന്നതിനും അതുവഴി സ്നേഹം പങ്കിടുന്നതിനും ഈ സമയം കണ്ടെത്തുന്നു. ദൈവ വചനത്തില്‍ ഇതൊരു നിര്‍ബന്ധമായോ, നിയമം ആയോ സൂചിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടു പോലുമില്ല. എന്നാല്‍ ചിലര്‍ അതൊരു കര്‍ശന നിയമമായി കണക്കാക്കി അതില്‍ പങ്കു കൊള്ളുന്നു. വലിയവനായ ദൈവം നമുക്ക് ചെയ്ത ഉപകാരങ്ങളെ ഓര്‍ക്കുന്നതിനും, നന്ദി കരേറ്റുന്നതിനും നാം അവനോട് കടപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. അതിനു നാം വീഴ്ച് വരുത്തുവാന്‍ പാടുള്ളതല്ല.

ദൈവം പാപിയായ മനുഷന്റെ അവസ്ഥ കണ്ട് അറിഞ്ഞ്‌ തന്റെ ഏകജാതനായ പുത്രനെ നമുക്ക് മറുവിലയായി നല്‍കി. തന്റെ രക്തം ക്രൂശില്‍ മുഴുവനായും ചൊരിഞ്ഞു നമ്മെ മക്കളാക്കി തീര്‍ത്ത ആ രക്ഷകനെ നാം ആരാധിക്കണം, അതിനു നാം കടപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. അതിനായി നാം കൂടി വരണം, പക്ഷെ അതൊരു വെറും ചടങ്ങായിത്തീരാന്‍ ഒരിക്കലും പാടുള്ളതല്ല. പലപ്പോഴും അതങ്ങിനെ ആയിത്തീരാറില്ലേ? അങ്ങനെ ആകാതിരിക്കാന്‍ നാം വളരെ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കേണ്ടതുണ്ട്.

അടുത്തയിടെ ഒരു സഭയിലെ രണ്ടു മൂപ്പെന്മാരുടെ സംഭാഷണത്തില്‍ കേട്ട ചില വാചകങ്ങള്‍ താഴെ കുറിക്കട്ടെ, ഇതോടുള്ള ബന്ധത്തില്‍ അത് ചിന്തനീയം തന്നെ.

'സഹോദരാ' എന്നുള്ള സംബോധനയോടെ ഏതോ ചില സഭാ വിഷയങ്ങള്‍ പറയാന്‍ മുതിര്‍ന്ന ഒരു മൂപ്പനോട് മറ്റൊരു മൂപ്പന്‍ "എന്തോന്ന് സഹോദരന്‍, എനിക്കൊന്നു കേള്‍ക്കണ്ട." ഇത് കേട്ട മറ്റേ മൂപ്പെന്‍: "അല്ല, അങ്ങനെയങ്കില്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞ ആഴ്ച ഒരേ അപ്പത്തില്‍ നിന്നും ഒരേ പാനപാത്രത്തില്‍ നിന്നും പങ്കു കൊണ്ട നാം തമ്മില്‍ ഇങ്ങനെ സംസാരിക്കുന്നത് ശരിയാണോ?

മറ്റേ മൂപ്പെന്‍: അപ്പം നുറുക്കല്‍ ഒരു ഫോര്‍മാലിറ്റി അല്ലാതെന്ത്!

പ്രീയപ്പെട്ടവരെ നമ്മുടെ ആരാധന ഇത്തരം വെറും ചടങ്ങായി, ഒരു ഫോര്‍മാലിറ്റിയായി മാറാതിരിക്കട്ടെ.

സത്യത്തിലും ആത്മാവിലും ഹൃദയത്തിന്റെ അന്തര്‍ഭാഗത്ത് നിന്ന് മാത്രം ഉയരുന്ന സ്തുതി സ്തോത്രങ്ങളാല്‍ നമുക്കവനെ ആരാധിക്കാം. അത് മാത്രം ആയിരിക്കട്ടെ നമ്മുടെ ആരാധനാ കൂടിവരവുകളുടെ ഉദ്ദേശവും ലക്ഷ്യവും. അങ്ങനെയെങ്കില്‍ നമ്മുടെ സ്തുതിയും സ്തോത്രവും അവന്‍ കൈക്കൊള്ളും. അല്ലാത്ത ആരാധനകള്‍ ജീവനറ്റതായ വെറും ചടങ്ങുകള്‍ മാത്രമായിരിക്കും. അതില്‍ ദൈവം പ്രസാദിക്കയുമില്ല.

ദൈവം പ്രസാദിക്കുന്ന ആരാധന കഴിപ്പാന്‍ കര്‍ത്താവ് ഏവര്‍ക്കും ഇടയാക്കട്ടെ.

നൂറിലധികം മെഡലുകള്‍ നമ്മുടെ കായിക താരങ്ങള്‍ കരസ്ഥമാക്കി രണ്ടാം സ്ഥാനത്തെത്തി.

അപ്പോസ്തലനായ പൌലോസിനു തന്‍റെ ജീവിതത്തില്‍ ഒരു ഓട്ടക്കാരന്‍റെ ലക്‌ഷ്യം തന്നെ

ആയിരുന്നു. അതത്രേ നാമിന്നിവിടെ വായിച്ചതും. “ഒന്ന് ഞാന്‍ ചെയ്യുന്നു, പിമ്പില്‍ ഉള്ളത്

മറന്നു മുമ്പില്‍ ഉള്ളതിന് ആഞ്ഞും കൊണ്ട് ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവില്‍ ദൈവത്തിന്‍റെ പരമ വിളിയുടെ വിരുതിനായി ലാക്കിലേക്കു ഓടുന്നു.

ഇവിടെ താന്‍, തന്നെ തന്നെ, ഒരു ഓട്ടക്കളത്തില്‍ ഓടുന്ന ഒരു ഓട്ടക്കരനോട് തുലനം ചെയ്യുന്നു. നാം മുന്‍പ് ഓര്‍ത്തത്‌ പോലെ ഒരു ഓട്ടക്കാരന് പലതും വര്‍ജ്ജിക്കെണ്ടാതുണ്ട്, പലതിനെയും പിന്നില്‍ എറിഞ്ഞു കളയേണ്ടതുണ്ട്, എങ്കില്‍ മാത്രമേ തനിക്ക്‌ ലകഷ്യ പ്രാപ്തിയില്‍ എത്തിച്ചേരാന്‍ കഴിയുകയുള്ളൂ തന്‍റ് ജീവിതത്തില പഴയ പരാജയങ്ങളെ എല്ലാം പിന്നില്‍ ഏറിഞ്ഞു കളഞ്ഞ ശേഷമത്രേ താന്‍ ഓടുന്നത്. തന്റെ ഏക ലക്‌ഷ്യം ഫിനിഷിംഗ് പോയിന്‍റില്‍ എത്തുക എന്നത് മാത്രമാണ്. അതിനായി താന്‍ തന്‍റെ ശ്രദ്ധ അതില്‍ മാത്രം കേന്ദ്രീകരിക്കുന്നു.

അതുപോലെ തന്നെ വിശ്വാസികളായ നാമും ഇന്ന് ക്രിസ്തീയ ജീവിതം എന്ന ഓട്ടക്കളത്തില്‍ ലകഷ്യപ്രാപ്തിയിലേ ക്ക് ഓടിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നവരത്രേ അവിടെ അതിനു, ആ ലക്ഷ്യത്തിനു വിഘ്നം വരുത്തുന്ന അനേക കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ നമുക്ക് മുന്നില്‍ പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെടാന്‍ സാധ്യതകള്‍ വളരെയാണ്. എന്നാല്‍ അവയെ എല്ലാം അതിജീവിച്ചു, അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ പുറകില്‍ എറിഞ്ഞു കളഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട് അല്ലങ്കില്‍, മറ്റു പലതിനേയും ഗണന്യമാക്കാതെ ഓടിയെന്കില്‍ മാത്രമേ നമ്മുടെ ലക്ഷ്യത്തില്‍ എത്തിച്ചേരാന്‍ കഴിയൂ.

അതായത് മറക്കുവാനോ, ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുവാനോ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുള്ളപലതിനേയും മറന്നെങ്കില്‍ മാത്രമേ തടസ്സമില്ലാതെ ഫിനിഷിംഗ് പോയിന്‍റു കടക്കുവാന്‍ കഴിയൂ.

അതെ, ഇപ്രകാരം ഓട്ടക്കളത്തിലായിരിക്കുന്ന നാമും പ്രധാനമായും ചിലതെല്ലാം വിട്ടു കളയെണ്ടാതുണ്ട്, അവയെ തീര്ര്ച്ചയായും വിട്ടു കളഞ്ഞേ മതിയാകൂ, എങ്കില്‍ മാത്രമേ ലെക്ഷ്യത്തില്‍ എത്താന്‍ കഴിയൂ.

അത്തരം ചില സുപ്രധാന വിഷയങ്ങളോടുള്ള ബന്ധത്തില്‍ ചില കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ നമുക്ക് ഒരുമിച്ചു അല്പ്പമായി ചിന്തിക്കാം.

നാം വായിച്ച വേദഭാഗത്തില്‍ വാക്യം 14 ഇപ്രകാരം വായിക്കുന്നു. “പിമ്പില്‍ ഉള്ളതിനെ മറന്നു കളഞ്ഞ്”

പലപ്പോഴും ഓര്‍മ്മ എന്നത് ഒരു ശാപം ആയി തോന്നിയിട്ടില്ലേ?

ജീവിതത്തില്‍ കടന്നു പോയ അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ അനുഭവിച്ച ചില കൈപ്പിന്‍റെയും ദുഖത്തിന്‍റ്യും അനുഭവങ്ങള്‍ അത് ഓര്‍ക്കുവാന്‍ കഴിയാതിരുന്നെന്കില്‍ എന്ന് നമുക്ക് പലപ്പോഴും തോന്നിയിട്ടില്ലേ?

അത്തരം സന്ദര്‍ഭങ്ങളില്‍ ഓര്‍മ്മ ഒരു ശാപമായി തോന്നിയേക്കാം എന്നാല്‍ മിക്കപ്പോഴും ഓര്‍മ്മ എന്നത് ഒരു അസറ്റ് തന്നെയല്ലേ? ഓര്‍മ്മിക്കാതിരിക്കാന്‍ കഴിയാത്ത ഒരവസ്ഥ ചിന്തിക്കാന്‍ പോലും ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുള്ള ഒരു കാര്യം തന്നെ. അതെപ്പറ്റി ഞാന്‍ അധികം ഒന്നും പറയുന്നില്ല. അത് ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളുടെ ചിന്തക്ക് വിടുകയാണ്.

ഇവിടെ നാം മറക്കേണ്ട ചില സംഗതികളെപ്പറ്റി ചിന്തിക്കാം നമ്മുടെ ക്രിസ്തീയ ജീവിതഓട്ടത്തില്‍ മറക്കെന്ടവ.

1 ഒന്നാമതായി നാം നമ്മുടെ പഴയ പാപ അവസ്ഥയെ മറക്കേനടത്തുണ്ട് (We must forget our past sins)

അതായത് നാം വിശ്വാസ ജീവിതത്തിലേക്ക് പ്രവേശിച്ചപ്പോള്‍ അവയെ എല്ലാം ഏറ്റുപറഞ്ഞു ഉപക്ഷിച്ചവ ആണല്ലോ? അവയെ ഇനിയും ഓര്‍ക്കെണ്ടതില്ല., കാരണം ദൈവം താന്‍ തന്നെ അവയെ എന്നേക്കുമായി മറന്നു കളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതിനാല്‍ തന്നെ നാമും അവയെ ഇനി ഓര്‍ക്കെണ്ടതില്ല.. സങ്കീര്‍ത്തനത്തില്‍ നാം ഇങ്ങനെ വായിക്കുന്നു: ഉദയം അസ്തമയതോട് അകന്നിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ അവന്‍ നമ്മുടെ ലംഘനങ്ങളെ നമ്മോട് അകറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു. (സംങ്കീര്‍ത്തനം 103:12)

മീഖാ പ്രവചനത്തില്‍ നാം ഇങ്ങനെ വായിക്കുന്നു: അവരുടെ പാപങ്ങളെ ഒക്കെയും നീ സമുദ്രത്തിന്‍റെ ആഴത്തില്‍ ഇട്ടുകളയും. (7: 19)

സമുദ്രത്തിന്‍റെ ആഴത്തിലേക്ക് ഇട്ടുകളയുന്ന ഒരു അവസ്ഥ, ചിന്തിക്കുക, പിന്നീടു അതൊരിക്കലും പൊങ്ങിവരില്ല തന്നെ.

ഇതോടുള്ള ബന്ധത്തില്‍ എബ്രായ ലേഖനത്തില്‍ മനോഹരമായ മറ്റൊരു വാക്യം ഉണ്ട് നമുക്കതൊന്നു വായിക്കാം.: (എബ്രായ ലേഖനം 10:17). “അവരുടെ പാപങ്ങളെയും അകൃത്യങ്ങളെയും ഞാന്‍ ഇനി ഓര്‍ക്കുകയില്ല" എന്ന് അരുളി ചെയ്യുന്നു” കര്‍ത്താവ്‌ താന്‍ തന്നെ അരുളിചെയ്ത വാക്കുകള്‍ !

നമ്മെ രക്ഷിച്ചു വീണ്ടെടുത്ത്‌ തന്‍റെ മക്കളാക്കിത്തീര്‍ത്തവന്‍റെ വാക്കുകള്‍.

നമ്മുടെ രക്ഷകനു അതൊരിക്കലും (നമ്മുടെ പാപങ്ങളെ) ഓര്‍ക്കുവാന്‍ കഴിയുകയില്ല.

കര്‍ത്താവ്‌ നമ്മുടെ പാപങ്ങള്‍ എന്നേക്കുമായി മറന്നു കളഞ്ഞെങ്കില്‍, പിന്നെ നാമെന്തിനതോര്‍ക്കണ . നമുക്കും അത് മറന്നുകളയാം, എങ്കില്‍ മാത്രമേ ലക്ഷ്യത്തിലേക്കുള്ള ഓട്ടത്തിന് തടസ്സം വരാതിരിക്കൂ . പഴയ കാല പാപ പ്രവര്‍ത്തികളെ ഓര്‍ത്തിരുന്നു പശ്ചാത്തപിച്ചാല്‍ നമ്മുടെ ഓട്ടത്തിനതു തീര്‍ച്ചയായും തടസ്സം സൃഷ്ടിക്കും

2. അടുത്ത പടി നമ്മുടെ പഴയ പരാജയങ്ങളെ നാം മറക്കെണ്ടാതുണ്ട് (We need to forget our past failures)

ഒരു പക്ഷെ അല്‍പ്പം പ്രയാസമുള്ള ഒരു സംഗതിയാകാം ഇത്. പഴയ പരാജയങ്ങളെ ഓര്‍ത്താല്‍ നമ്മുടെ സന്തോഷത്തിനും സമാധാനത്തിനും തീര്‍ച്ചയായും വിഘ്നം വരും, അത് നമ്മുടെ ലക്ഷ്യത്തിലേക്കുള്ള ഓട്ടത്തിന് തടസ്സം സൃഷ്ടിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

ചിലര്‍ ഇപ്പോഴും അയ്യോ എനിക്കതിനു കഴിഞ്ഞില്ലല്ലോ, ഞാന്‍ അന്ന് എന്‍റെ മാതാപിതാക്കള്‍ പറഞ്ഞതനുസരിച്ചിരുന്നെങ്കില്‍ ഇന്നെനിക്കീ സ്ഥിതി വരുമായിരുന്നോ? എന്നിങ്ങനെ കഴിഞ്ഞു പോയ പരാജയത്തെ ഓര്‍ത്തു വിലപിക്കുന്നവര്‍ അനേകരാണ്, ഇത്തരം ഒരു അവസ്ഥ കൊണ്ട് ഒന്നും തന്നെ നേടാന്‍ കഴിയില്ല., അത് വെറും സമയനഷ്ടം മാത്രം വരുത്തുന്നു. തൂകിപ്പോയ പാലിനെ ഓര്‍ത്തു വിലപിച്ചിട്ട് ഒരു പ്രയോജനവുമില്ലല്ലോ. “don’t cry over spilt milk” എന്ന് പറയരുന്ണ്ടല്ലോ!.

പഴയ പരാജയങ്ങളെ ഓര്‍ത്തു നമുക്ക് വിലപിക്കാതിരിക്കാം. അത്തരം ഒരു സ്ഥിതി നമ്മെ ഒരിടത്തും കൊണ്ടെതിക്കുന്നില്ല. മറിച്ചു അത് നമ്മുടെ ജീവിത ഓട്ടത്തിനു തടസ്സം സൃഷ്ടിക്കുകയെ ഉള്ളു

3 നമ്മുടെ പഴയ നേട്ടങ്ങളെ നാം മറക്കെണ്ടാതുണ്ട് (We need to forget our past Victories or Gains)

തീര്‍ച്ചയായും നമ്മുടെ പഴയ കാല നേട്ടങ്ങള്‍ ഒരിക്കലും നമ്മെ നമ്മുടെ വര്‍ത്തമാന കാല ജീവിതത്തിനു ഒരു വിധത്തിലും സഹായകമാകില്ല

എന്ടുപ്പാപാക്ക് ഒരാനടാര്‍ന്നു അല്ലങ്കില്‍ ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് അതുണ്ടായിരുന്നു, ഇതുണ്ടായിരുന്നു എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു പൊങ്ങച്ചം പറയുന്ന ചിലരെ നാം നമ്മുടെ ദൈനം ദിന ജീവിതത്തില്‍ കണ്ടു മുട്ടാറുണ്ടല്ലോ.

മറ്റു ചിലര്‍ ഇങ്ങനെ പറയാരുണ്ട് "എന്‍റെ അപ്പനപ്പൂപ്പന്മാര്‍ മുതലേ ഞങ്ങള്‍ വേര്‍പാടുകാര്‍ ആണ്" എന്ന് പറയുന്ന ഒരു കൂട്ടര്‍. ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞു വീമ്പിളക്കി നടന്നിട്ട് ഒരു കാര്യവുമില്ല, ഇന്ന് നീ ആ സത്യത്തിനു വേണ്ടി നിലനില്‍ക്കുന്നുവോ അതോ അതിനെ തച്ചുടക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള പദ്ധതികളോ ആസൂത്രണം ചെയ്യുന്നത്? ആ അപ്പനപ്പൂപ്പന്മാരുടെ വിശ്വാസം കാത്തു സൂക്ഷിക്കുക അതാണാവശ്യം. അവിടെയാണ് നമ്മുടെ ക്രിസ്തീയ ജീവിത വിജയം നില കൊള്ളുന്നത്‌.

അത്തരം പൊങ്ങച്ചം പറച്ചില്‍ ഇന്നത്തെ നിന്‍റെ ക്രിസ്തീയ ജീവിതത്തിനു ഒരു സഹായവും ചെയ്യില്ല മറിച്ചു അത് നിന്‍റെ മുന്‍പോട്ടുള്ള ക്രിസ്തീയ ജീവിതത്തിനു തടസ്സം മാത്രെമേ സൃഷ്ടിക്കുക ഉള്ളു.

പ്രീയപ്പെട്ടവരെ നമുക്ക് നമ്മുടെ പഴയ നേട്ടങ്ങളിലും, പാരമ്പര്യത്തിലും പുകഴാതിരിക്കാം, പകരം അത് നമ്മില്‍ ഒരു തരം അഹന്ത /അഹങ്കാരം സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്നതിനെ കാരണമാക്കുകയുള്ളൂ. അത് തീര്‍ച്ചയായും നമ്മുടെ മുന്‍പോട്ടുള്ള ജീവിത യാത്രക്ക് അല്ലങ്കില്‍ ഓട്ടത്തിന് തടസ്സം സൃഷ്ടിക്കും.

ദുഖമെന്നു പറയട്ടെ ഇന്നു ചില വിശ്വാസികള്‍ തങ്ങളുടെ പഴയകാല്‍ പ്രൌഡി യില്‍ ഇങ്ങനെ കടിച്ചു തൂങ്ങിക്കിടക്കുകയാണ്.

അത് തീര്‍ച്ചയായും നമ്മുടെ ലകഷ്യ പ്രാപ്തിക്കു തടസ്സം സൃഷ്ടിക്കുക തന്നെ ചെയ്യും.

നമുക്ക് നമ്മുടെ പഴയ നേട്ടങ്ങളെ പുറകില്‍ എറിഞ്ഞു കളയാം , അവയില്‍ പുകഴാതിരിക്കാം. പ്രീയപ്പെട്ടവരെ അതുകൊണ്ട് ഒരു പ്രയോജനവും ഇല്ല.

നമ്മുടെ ലക്ഷ്യത്തിനു തടസ്സമായി വരുന്ന എന്തിനെയും നമുക്ക് പുറകില്‍ എറിയാം മുന്‍പോട്ടു ഓടാം.

പൌലോസ് അപ്പോസ്തലന്‍ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ “പിമ്പില്‍ ഉള്ളത് മറന്നു മുമ്പില്‍ ഉള്ളതിന് ആഞ്ഞും കൊണ്ട് ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവില്‍ ദൈവത്തിന്‍റെ പരമ വിളിയുടെ വിരുതിനായി ലാക്കിലേക്കു ഓടാം.

4. നമ്മുടെ പഴയ സന്തോഷങ്ങളില്‍ നമുക്ക് ഊന്നല്‍ കൊടുക്കാതിരിക്കാം, അവയെ നമുക്ക് മറക്കാം (Or - We need to forget our past pleasures)

ഇസ്രായേല്‍ മക്കള്‍ക്ക്‌ നേരിട്ട ഒരു വലിയ പരാജയം ഇതായിരുന്നു. അവരുടെ ചരിത്രം പഠിച്ചാല്‍ നമുക്കത് മനസ്സിലാകും.

തുടര്‍ച്ചയായി അവര്‍ അവരുടെ പഴയ സമൃദ്ധിയെപ്പറ്റി വാതോരാതെ പറഞ്ഞു കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു സംഖ്യാ പുസ്തകം 11: 5-6; 20:5; 21:5 തുടങ്ങിയ വാക്യങ്ങളില്‍ നാമത് വായിക്കുന്നു.
അവിടെ അവര്‍ക്ക് അതുണ്ടായിരുന്നു ഇതുണ്ടായിരുന്നു ഇവിടെ ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് അപ്പവുമില്ല വെള്ളവുമില്ല, മിസ്രയെമിന്‍റെ പഴയ സമൃദ്ധിയില്‍ ആശ്രയിച്ചു അവയെ ഓര്‍ത്തിരുന്നാല്‍ ദൈവത്തിന്‍റെ അത്ഭുതകരമായ പരിപാലാനത്തിന്‍റെ മാധുര്യം അനുഭവിപ്പാന്‍ കഴിയാതെ വരും. മരുഭൂമിയില്‍ ദൈവം അവരെ വളരെ അത്യത്ഭുതകരമായി നടത്തി, എന്നാല്‍ അവരുടെ പിറുപിറുപ്പും പഴയകാല പ്രൌഡിയെപ്പറ്റിയുള്ള ചിന്തകളും മൂലം ദൈവീക പരിപാലാനത്തിന്‍റെ മാധുര്യം അവര്‍ക്ക് ശരിയാംവണ്ണം ആസ്വദിപ്പാന്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.
അവരുടെ പഴയ സന്തോഷത്തിന്‍റെ ഓര്‍മ്മകള്‍ അവരെ അതിനനുവദിച്ചില്ല.

ഒരു വലിയ നേട്ടം, അല്ലങ്കില്‍ സൌഭാഗ്യം നമുക്ക് നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കാം, ചിലപ്പോള്‍ സഹപ്രവര്‍ത്തകനോ, അയല്‍ക്കാരനോ, ഏറ്റവും അടുത്ത സുഹൃത്ത്‌ പോലുമോ നിങ്ങളെ വൃണപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന രീതിയില്‍ പറയുകയോ പെരുമാറുകയോ ചെയ്തിരിക്കാം, എന്തിനധികം സഹവിശ്വാസിയില്‍ നിന്ന് പോലും ഒരു പക്ഷെ ഇത്തരം പെരുമാറ്റം നിങ്ങള്‍ അനുഭവിചിട്ടുണ്ടാകാം, കൂട്ട് സഹോദരന്‍ നിങളെ മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെ മുന്‍പാകെ താഴ്ത്തി കെട്ടി സംസാരിക്കുകയോ പുച്ഛത്തോടെ ഇടപെടുകയോ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുകയോ, നിങ്ങളുടെ കുറവുകള്‍ ബലഹീനതകള്‍ മറ്റുള്ളവരോട് പറഞ്ഞു പ്രചരിപ്പിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടാകാം, ഒരു പക്ഷെ അത് അവരുടെ പക്വതയില്ലായ്മയില്‍ നിന്നും ഉരുത്തിരിയുന്നതാകാം എന്ന് സമാധാനിക്കുക. പ്രീയപ്പെട്ടവരെ അവയെ നമുക്ക് വിട്ടു കളയാം, മറക്കാം, അതേപ്പറ്റിയുള്ള ഓര്‍മ്മകള്‍ നമ്മെ ഒരിടത്തും കൊണ്ടെതിക്കില്ല മറിച്ച്. നമുക്ക് തന്നെ അത് നഷ്ടം വരുത്തി വെക്കുകയെ ഉള്ളു. അവയെ നമുക്ക് മറക്കാം. അതേപ്പറ്റിയുള്ള ഓര്‍മ്മ നമ്മെ കൂടുതല്‍ ദുഖത്തിലേക്ക് നയിക്കുകയെ ഉള്ളു. അത്തരം ഓര്‍മ്മകളെ നമുക്ക് പുറകില്‍ എറിഞ്ഞു നമ്മുടെ ഓട്ടം സ്ഥിരതയോടെ ഓടാം.
6 പഴയ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ നമുക്ക് മറക്കാം (Or - We need to forget our past blessings)
നമ്മുടെ പഴയ പ്രതാപങ്ങള്‍ ഒന്നും തന്നെ ഇന്നത്തെ നമ്മുടെ ആവശ്യങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് ഒരു വിധത്തിലും സഹായകമാവില്ല. അവയെ മറന്നു നാം ഓടേണ്ടതുണ്ട്. അതേപ്പറ്റിയുള്ള ചിന്ത ഒരു പ്രയോജനവും ചെയ്യില്ല പകരം അത് നിന്റെ ലക്ഷ്യ സ്ഥാനത്തേക്കുള്ള ഓട്ടത്തിന് തടസ്സം സൃഷ്ടിക്കുക തന്നെ ചെയ്യും.

7. നമുക്ക് മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെ പരാജയങ്ങളേയും അവരുടെ പാപങ്ങളെയും മറക്കാം. (Or - We need to forget the sins and shortcomings of others)
ഇവിടെ നാം നമ്മുടെ മാത്രമല്ല മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെയും പരാജയങ്ങളേയും അവരുടെ പാപങ്ങളെയും മറക്കണം. മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെ കുറവുകള്‍ കണ്ടുപിടിക്കാനും, പറഞ്ഞു നടക്കാനും, ഒപ്പം വിവിധ മാദ്ധ്യമങ്ങളിലൂടെ പ്രചരണം നടത്താനും നമുക്ക് നല്ല സാമര്‍ധ്യം തന്നെ ഉണ്ട്. തിരുവചനം ഓര്‍പ്പിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ സ്വന്ത കണ്ണില്‍ കോലിരിക്കുന്നതിനെപ്പറ്റി ഒരറിവും ഇല്ലാത്തപോലെ മറ്റുള്ളവന്റെ കണ്ണിലെ കരടെടുക്കാന്‍ ഉള്ള വലിയ ശ്രമത്തിലാണ് നാം. പ്രീയപ്പെട്ടവരെ നമുക്കതിവിടെ അവസാനിപ്പിക്കാം.

കുറവുകള്‍ പ്രോരായ്മകള്‍ ഇല്ലാത്ത ആരും തന്നെ ഇവിടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നുട് എന്ന് ഞാന്‍ കരുതുന്നില്ല. അഥവാ ആരെങ്കിലും അങ്ങനെ ചിന്തിക്കുന്നുന്ടെന്കില്‍ അവര്‍ സ്വയം വഞ്ചിക്കാന്‍ ശ്രമിക്കുകയാണ് എന്ന് ഞാന്‍ പറഞ്ഞാല്‍ അത് അസ്ഥാനത്താകില്ല തന്നെ.. അവര്‍ സ്വയം വന്ചിതരാകുകയത്രേ ചെയ്യുന്നത്.

നമ്മുടെ വശത്ത് കുറവുകള്‍ പോരായ്മകള്‍ ഉണ്ട് അവ പരസ്പരം ഏറ്റുപറഞ്ഞുപേക്ഷിക്കാം.
അവന്‍ അല്ലങ്കില്‍ അവള്‍, അല്ലങ്കില്‍ ആ സഹോദരന്‍ അല്ലങ്കില്‍ ആ സഹോദരി എന്നോട് ചെയ്തതും പറഞ്ഞതും ഒന്നും എനിക്ക് മറക്കാന്‍ കഴിയില്ല എന്ന് ആരും പറയരുതേ?
നമുക്കതു മറക്കുവാന്‍ കഴിയും തീര്‍ച്ചയായും കഴിയും!
ദൈവകൃപയില്‍ നമുക്ക് ആശ്രയിക്കാം, തീര്‍ച്ചയായും അതിനുള്ള കൃപ, ബലം ദൈവം തരും. നിശ്ചയം.
നമുക്ക് പരസ്പരം പൊറുക്കാം, വഹിക്കാം, ക്ഷമിക്കാം. എങ്കില്‍ മാത്രമേ നമുക്ക് നമ്മുടെ ഓട്ടം സ്ഥിരതയോടെ ഓടാനും ലക്ഷ്യസ്ഥാനത്തു എത്താനും കഴിയുകയുള്ളൂ.

ഇതുവരെ നാം ചിന്തിച്ചത് നമുക്ക് പിമ്പില്‍ വിട്ടു കളയേന്ണ്ടവയെപ്പറ്റിയായിരുന്നു
ഇനി അല്‍പ്പ സമയം കൊണ്ട് നമുക്ക് മുന്‍പില്‍ ഉള്ളവ, നാം ഓര്‍ക്കേണ്ടതും പിടിച്ചുകൊള്ളേണ്ടതുമായവ ചില കാര്യങ്ങള്‍. ചിന്തിക്കാം എന്ന് കരുതുന്നു.
1. പരിപൂര്‍ണ്ണതയിലേക്ക് നാം എത്തിച്ചേരേണ്ടതുണ്ട് അതായത് തികഞ്ഞവര്‍ ആയിത്തീരുക (Or - We need to press on to perfection)
അതായതു ആത്മീയ പക്വത പ്രാപിക്കുക എന്നര്‍ത്ഥം അതിനര്‍ഥം പാപം ഇല്ലാത്ത, ഒരു കുറവും ഇല്ലാത്ത അവസ്ഥ എന്നല്ല, ഈ ഭൂമിയില്‍ നാം ആയിരിക്കുന്നിടത്തോളം കാലം പല കുറവുകള്‍ക്കും നാം അധീനരാകാന്‍ സാധ്യതകള്‍ വളരെയുണ്ട്. പക്ഷെ അതിനര്‍ഥം അതില്‍ തന്നെ എന്നും ആയിരിക്കുക എന്നല്ല, മറിച്ച് അതില്‍ നിന്നും ഒരു വിടുതല്‍, ഒരു വ്യതിയാനം, തീര്‍ച്ചയായും നമുക്ക് വരുത്തുവാന്‍ കഴിയും. ക്രിസ്തുവിന്‍റെ തലയോളം വളരുവാനത്രേ അവന്‍ നമ്മെക്കുറിച്ചു ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നത്.
ഇതെങ്ങനെ സാധിക്കാം,: നിരന്തരമായ പ്രാര്‍ഥനയിലൂടെയും, തിരുവചന ധ്യാനത്തിലൂടെയും മാത്രം നേടിയെടുക്കുവാന്‍ കഴിയുന്ന ഒരു കാര്യം. ഒപ്പം അവന്‍റെ രാജ്യ വിസ്തൃതിക്കും നമ്മാല്‍ ആവോളം ചെയ്യുക എന്നതും ഇതിനൊപ്പം നില്‍ക്കുന്നു.

2. അവന്‍ നമ്മെ വിളിച്ചു വേര്‍തിരിച്ചതിന്‍റെ ഉദ്യേശ്യം മനസ്സിലാക്കി അവന്‍റെ ഉത്തമ സാക്ഷികള്‍ ആയി നമുക്ക് മുന്‍പില്‍ വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഓട്ടം സ്ഥിരതയോടെ ഓടാം. അതിനനുസൃതമായി നമുക്ക് അവനു പ്രസാദമുള്ള പ്രവര്‍ത്തികളില്‍ ഏര്‍പ്പെടാം. നമുക്കോരോരുത്തര്‍ക്കും അവന്‍ നല്‍കിയിരിക്കുന്ന അവസ്ഥക്കൊത്ത് നമ്മുടെ ഓട്ടം ഓടി തികക്കെണ്ടതുണ്ട്..

അതെ ഒരു കായിക താരം അവരുടെ വിജയ ലകഷ്യത്തിലേക്കുള്ള ഓട്ടത്തില്‍ പലതിനേയും വിട്ടുകലയെണ്ടാതുണ്ട് ഒപ്പം ചിലതിനു അട്ടിക്റ്റ് ആവുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. ഞാന്‍ നേരത്തെ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ അവരുടെ ഊണിലും ഉറക്കത്തിലും വിജയം വരിക്കണം എന്ന ഒരു ചിന്ത മാത്രം, അതിനായി അവര്‍ തങ്ങള്‍ ഏര്‍പ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കു അടിമയായി മാറുന്നു.

അതുപോലെ മുന്‍പ് പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ നാമും ഇന്ന് ഒരു ലക്ഷ്യത്തിലേക്ക്

ഓടിക്കൊടിരിക്കുന്നവരാണല്ലോ, ആ ലകഷ്യ പ്രാപ്തിയില്‍ എത്തുന്നതിനു നമുക്കും പലതിനേയും

മറക്കുകയും വിട്ടുകളയുകയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടതുണ്ട്. ഒപ്പം നമ്മുടെ കര്‍ത്താവിനു നാം അടിമകള്‍

ആകെണ്ടാതുമുണ്ട്, ഇന്ന് മറ്റു പലതിനും അടിമകളായിരിക്കുന്ന നമുക്ക് അവന്‍റെ അടിമകള്‍

ആകാം അതെത്ര സന്തോഷം പ്രധാനം ചെയ്യും. ഈ ലോക മോഹങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് അടിമകള്‍ ആയാല്‍ അത്

ഒരു വിധത്തിലും പ്രയോജനം ചെയ്യില്ല തന്നെ. നമുക്ക് സ്വയം ഒന്ന് ചിന്തിക്കാം ഞാന്‍ ഇന്ന്

ഏതിനു അടിമ അല്ലങ്കില്‍ addict ആയിരിക്കുന്നു?

ഈ ലോകത്തിലുള്ള ഏതിനും അടിമയായാല്‍ അത് ഒടുവില്‍ ദുഃഖത്തില്‍ മാത്രമേ കലാശിക്കുള്ള.

അത് ഒരു പക്ഷെ നൈമഷിക സുഖം പ്രധാനം ചെയ്തേക്കാം പക്ഷെ അത് ശാശ്വതം അല്ല എന്ന് നാം

ഓര്‍ക്കേണ്ടതുണ്ട് അതുകൊണ്ട് നമുക്കിന്നു അവന്‍റെ അടിമകള്‍ ആകാം, നമ്മുടെ ചെറിയാന്‍

സാര്‍ ഇപ്രകാരം പാടി.”

“അവന്നടിമ അനുഭവിക്കും സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം പോലെ

മറ്റില്ല സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം ഏതും

അന്ത്യശ്വാസം പോംവരെ തന്‍ സേവ ചെയ്യും ഞാന്‍

തൃപ്പാദ സേവ ചെയ്യും ഞാന്‍.

സ്നേഹ ച്ചരടുകലാലെന്നെ യേശു ചേര്‍ത്ത് ബന്ധിച്ചു

തന്‍ കുരിശോടെന്നെ ഒന്നിച്ചു ഞാനെല്ല തന്നിലര്‍പ്പിച്ചു.

അതെ അവിടെ നമുക്ക് സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം ഉണ്ട്., ക്രിതുവില്‍ നമുക്ക് എല്ലാ സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യങ്ങളും ഉണ്ട്, പക്ഷെ അത് നാം ദുഷ്ടതക്ക് മറയാക്കരുതെന്നു മാത്രം.

നമുക്കിന്നു അവന്‍റെ അടിമകള്‍ ആകാം. അതത്രേ അവന്‍ നമ്മില്‍ നിന്നും ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നതും
3. മറ്റൊരു വലിയ ചുമതല കൂടി അവന്‍ നമ്മെ ഏല്പ്പിചിരിക്കുന്നു.
നമുക്ക് ചുറ്റും നശിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു വലിയ ജനതതി ഉണ്ട് എന്ന കാര്യം നാം ഒരിക്കലും വിസ്മരിക്കരുത്. അവരെ നാം ഇന്നായിരിക്കുന്ന, അല്ലങ്കില്‍ നാമിന്നലങ്കരിക്കുന്ന മഹോന്നത പദവിയെപ്പറ്റി മറ്റുള്ളവരോട്, നാശത്തിലേക്ക് നീങ്ങിക്കൊണ്ടിരികുന്നവരോട് പറയാം. അവരെ അതിലേക്കു ആഹ്വാനം ചെയ്യാം. അതത്രേ അവന്‍ നമ്മെ ഏല്‍പ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു വലിയ ദൌത്യം. നമ്മുടെ ജീവിത യാത്രയില്‍ അല്ലങ്കില്‍ ക്രിസ്തീയ ഓട്ടക്കളത്തില്‍ ഓടുന്ന നാം അതും ചെയ്‌വാന്‍ കടപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. നാമത് ചെയ്യുന്നില്ലായെങ്കില്‍ വാക്യം 18 ലും 19 ലും പറയുന്നതുപോലെ നാം ക്രൂശിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളായിതീരും. നമുക്കങ്ങനെ ആകാതിരിക്കാം, നമ്മാല്‍ ആവതു അവന്‍റെ രാജ്യ വിസ്തൃതിക്കായി ചെയ്യാം. അവന്‍റെ വരവടുതിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ നാളുകളില്‍ നാമിത് അധികമധികമായി ചെയ്യേണ്ടതാകുന്നു.
പിമ്പിലുള്ളത് മറക്കണം എന്ന് പറയുന്നതിന്‍റെ പ്രധാന കാരണം എന്താണ്?
1. നാം ഈ ലോകതിനുള്ളവരല്ല എന്നത് തന്നെ അതിന്‍റെ പ്രധാന കാരണം.
പകരം നാം സ്വര്‍ഗ്ഗത്തിനുള്ളവരത്രേ, അതെ നമ്മുടെ പൌരത്വം സ്വര്ഗ്ഗതിലത്രേ!
സ്വര്‍ഗം അതത്രെ നമ്മുടെ ഭവനം. ഇവിടുള്ളതെല്ലാം കേവലം കുറച്ചു നാളത്തേക്ക് മാത്രമുള്ളതത്രേ. ഇവിടെ നമുക്കുള്ളതെല്ലാം, ഞാന്‍ വീണ്ടും പറയട്ടെ ഇവിടെ നമുക്കുള്ളതെല്ലാം, അതെ എല്ലാം!!! നശ്വരമത്രേ. ഒന്നും തന്നെ നമുക്കീ ഭൂമി വിട്ടു പോകുമ്പോള്‍ കൊണ്ടുപോകാന്‍ കഴിയില്ല തന്നെ, അപ്പോള്‍ പിന്നെ എന്തിനാണീ വൃഥാ ശ്രമങ്ങള്‍.
അതെ നമ്മുടെ പേര്‍ സ്വര്‍ഗ്ഗത്തില്‍ എഴുതപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കയത്രേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ പേര്‍ സ്വര്‍ഗ്ഗത്തില്‍ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതിലത്രേ സന്തോഷിപ്പീന്‍" എന്ന് ലൂക്കോസിന്‍റെ സുവിശേഷം 10: 20 വായിക്കുന്നു.
നമ്മോടൊപ്പം ആയിരുന്ന അനേകര്‍ ഇന്നവിടെയാണല്ലോ? (Eph. 3:15)
2. അവന്‍ നമ്മെ ചേര്‍പ്പാനായി വീണ്ടും വരുന്നു. Yes the Lord is coming again to take us Home.
ആ നല്ല ദിവസം മുന്നില്‍ കണ്ടു കൊണ്ട് നമുക്ക് മുന്നില്‍ അവശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന നാളുകള്‍, നമ്മുടെ ക്രിസ്തീയ ജീവിതയാത്ര (ഓട്ടം) തുടരാം.

കര്‍ത്താവതിനേവര്‍ക്കും ഏവര്‍ക്കും സഹായിക്കട്ടെ.
മറന്നു കളയേണ്ടവയെ നമുക്ക് മറക്കാം. വിട്ടുകളയേണ്ടവയെ നമുക്ക് പുറകില്‍ എറിഞ്ഞു കളയാം. എങ്കില്‍ മാത്രമേ അനായാസേന നമുക്ക് നമ്മുടെ ഓട്ടം ഓടുവാന്‍ കഴിയൂ, ലക്ഷ്യത്തില്‍ എത്തിച്ചേരുവാന്‍ കഴിയൂ.
നമ്മുടെ പഴയ പാപങ്ങള്‍, പരാജയങ്ങള്‍, വിജയങ്ങള്‍, സന്തോഷങ്ങള്‍, അസംതൃപ്തികരമായ അനുഭവങ്ങള്‍, പഴയ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങള്‍, മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെ പാപങ്ങളും കുറവുകളും നമുക്ക് മറന്നുകൊണ്ട് മുന്നില്‍ വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഓട്ടം സ്ഥിരതയോടെ ഓടാം. അപ്പോസ്തലന്‍ പറഞ്ഞത് പോലെ നാമിന്നിവിടെ ഓട്ടക്കളത്തില്‍ ഓടുന്ന കായിക താരങ്ങള്‍ അത്രേ നമ്മുടെ ഓട്ടത്തിനു തടസ്സം നില്‍ക്കുന്നതെല്ലാം നമുക്ക് പുറകില്‍ എറിഞ്ഞു കളയാം.
നമ്മുടെ ഓട്ടം സ്ഥിരതയോടെ ഓടാം.
കര്‍ത്താവ്‌ അതിനേവര്‍ക്കും സഹായിക്കട്ടെ.

Most desirable Married Men

Apropos the cover story "Most desirable Married Men" (August 9 2009) made an interesting read. http://the-week.com At a time when some of our women flocks are involved in all kinds of forbidden acts as said in the story's intro, it's unfortunate to note that many of our women flocks are gazing at such acts and a kind of attraction is created everywhere.
No doubt money and power are some of the main reasons for this twist. As Mr. Prasad Bidappa said, your projected personalities or the celebrities are all "achievers with a big bank balance. Yes naturally women want to build a secured life and it helps." Your same issue tells a different story of yet another group of our women. "The bus ladies" I appreciate these women for their guts and desire to work hard for a living. Bravo to such women. May their tribe increase. Yet another box item "Women Only "that too about on our women flock, a women minister's desperate looks out for a suitable women train driver too was interesting. Last but the least "your graphic view" "National filth" too was focused on the plight of our women flock the data mentioned about such women is really shocking. Even after 108 years of Gandhiji's revelation "women scavengers are the worst form or apartheid" the practice is still prevailing in a developing country like India is a national shame. Altogether this issue was interesting and thought provoking one. It would have been more appropriate if the Bible verse you mentioned at the beginning of the story with a small change for the context. "Oh my dear women flocks, "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s husband".

Apropos the article “36 Secrets Doctors Would Never Share” (February 2009). I was shocked to read that 94% of doctors accept gifts from pharmaceutical companies and in return prescribe their medicines, regardless of their quality. Revealing secrets like these will serve as a warning to errant doctors and it will help patients become more alert.

Is 'Mr clean' listening?

The special story, ‘A Matter of Dishonour’ (TSI October 22, 2007), has revealed many unhealthy practices prevailing in our defense system. How sad it is, when the defenders’ of the nation are turning out to be thieves themselves? The big question now is – what action have the authorities taken regarding such deals and scams? Also doubtful is whether the political system will take an upper hand on these investigations. Is it not the corrupt political system, that is responsible for such dealings? Whatever it may be, something concrete should be done to curtail such practices in the country’s highest protection forces. The corrupt should be punished stringently. Is the Defence Minister, “The Mr. Clean” listening?

Star-Crossed

Mr Mehta’s Delhi Diary piece on Sanjay Gandhi (Apr 6) was fun. Too bad the predictions of Maharaj Shamdas Udasi didn’t come true, but it throws light on how such soothsayers operate. I am reminded of how Khushwant Singh, as editor of Illustrated Weekly, recycled old horoscopes and palmed them off as new under a fudged name with great success when the magazine’s astrologer stopped writing. Someone like Udasi should now cast Varun’s horoscope too.

Mr. Sitharam On the Cover Page of TSI

The Future Prime Minister?

Sutanu guru’s report and the interview with Sitaram Yechury was a timely piece. As the writer said, the projection of Yechury’s candidature for the post of Prime Minister looks like a loony fantasy, but going through the reality one can easily come to the conclusion that he is a right candidate for the job. The report and the interview points out some facts in the present political scenario. Among the projected candidates list Yechury can definitely hold his head up and no doubt he stands tall as a rightful one. But of course the situation among the so called front can’t really find an answer to this: Who will be the right candidate for the highest post? No doubt there arises a great collusion among them on this issue. The previous experiences are proof enough to this. In such case I feel congress is the only party that can take a firm decision on their prime ministerial candidate without much furor or commotion. BJP too fail here as their infighting for this post is well known. Whatever may be, May sixteen is a D day for all. Let’s wait and watch for a better result which helps India to find a right candidate for the highest post. Oh! God save our country and our politicians to find an amicable solution to lead the people forward smoothly and steadily.

Yet Another Hobo Story

This refers to the column of Prashanto Banerji’s Typos “Yet another hobo story: The runaway” really felt and read like a fairy tale, but the write–up brought out the reality exists in the real India. One thing is sure that our present social stigma creates many such Ashoks’ and munnas’ in our society, fortunately this story’s munna could achieve something better. Out of many such munnas’ few will reach to the level of the grown up Mansoor if they get the real push or help from the society. No doubt their sheer hard work and determination brought them up to that level. Munna’s story teaches us a great lesson. Yes, such hapless victims of our society need a lenient look and help not only from the administration but also from the society’s middle class as well as the effluents. The write-up’s concluding paragraph said that truth very clearly. Thank you for sharing this.

The politics of education

This refers to the Rear Window Learning culture - The politics of education
(TSI 4May-10May 2009) by Prof. Anil Sadagopan. A well thought out piece. Our politicians are least bothered about developing the knowledge of the coming generation through quality education. It’s a grave mistake our administration makes. Since most of the politicians are well off and corepathi’s what’s the point or need to worry about the common man’s children. For instance take the case of any minister or MP or MLA everybody’s children and grand children and even their relatives children are studying or studied in Oxford or Cambridge like universities or educational institutions. The so called English hate philosopher’s (some politicians) children too are studying in the high profile institutions here in India and abroad. The ultimate motives of our politicians are not to look into the welfare of the common man and his plights instead they are worried about their position in parliament and state assemblies. For this they spend millions of rupees. Take the recent election and its candidature, only the coropathi’s got even the party ticket for contesting the election. How sad the situation is? Is there any solution to change such attitude of our people who are in the helm of power? Oh! God Save Our Country.

Going Home (A response to TIME Magazine)

Apropos your cover story “Going Home” by Michael Schuman (April 27 2009) made a serious reading. The present recession effect is a blessing in disguise to many countries, since highly skilled professional talents can be utilized more effectively in their respective countries. Though the returns may not be as good as their previous jobs in a way they will be happy in a more secured position than a less secured one with more gains. The report presented a whole coverage on the present situation.

Are We Going Back to the Stone Age? Yet Another Temple Controversy

This refers to the news item, "Yet another purification ceremony at Guruvaayoor temple in Kerala". (Rediffnews and other news agencies).

How sad it is to read such news that we Indians treat fellow beings in such a discriminate manner! Knowing fully well about this temple practice why people (non Hindus) are rushing towards it and creating chaos among the people. It looks like the recent incident is a publicity stunt.

Whatever may be, such treatment to the devotees is an uncalled for system.

A state (Kerala) which is in the forefront for literacy and other aspects in India, can anyone expect such treatment to its fellow beings? Of course now the person faced this treatment is a foreigner traveler. What about the treatment meted out to one of our own union Cabinet minister (elected to the Indian parliament from Kerala State) and his family members? The said minister and family filed a case against the temple authorities for the ill-treatment they received at the temple at the time of his grand son's first solid food feeding ceremony, (commonly known as "Choroone"), this is performed on or after sixth or seventh month as per the gender of the child. For the boy child it is performed on the sixth or seventh month and for the girl child on even months. The ritualistic ceremony initiates the introduction of the first solid food to the child. The temple poojari (priest) carried out the ceremony and immediately after that they did the Purification ceremony (cleansing practice) which generally does not do with this ritual. Since the minister's wife belongs to the Christian community they did this to purify the temple premises. This was an insult to the minister and they filed a case against the temple authorities.

This type of treatment and rules are definitely a sad trend to follow. The authorities should make note that, God never implemented any such rules for Hindus or non-Hindus; instead all are equal before god. It is high time that the people in authority should rethink about such system and practices. The people who create distress and utter chaos among the people also should be dealt with firmly. Such incidents clearly shows that we are going back to the Stone Age? How sad it is!!! It is a shame! to the Keralites as well as to the Indian culture. We have to re-think on such practices in our culture and to move forward with a renewed system and spirit which is acceptable to all.
