Aditya is feeling very lonely. So many things are coming into his mind, but he can't do anything. Somya, only love of Aditya's life, expects a lot from him. Aditya always tries to fulfil Somya's every wish, he accepts anything, faces any situation to make Somya happy. He never think about himself, kills all his desires. He's sacrificed many things to give her more comforts and happiness. But still there is something missing, he fails to meet her expectations. Somya thinks she wasn't properly guided by Aditya, she got completely frustrated from everything... from her family, her job, her lover everything. She wants Aditya to take all responsibilities a husband should take for his wife. Aditya tries a lot, but can't do beyond a certain limit; because there are many things which is not possible till a girl stays in her parental home. In India, you can't do many things... you can't take many responsibilities until you get married officially.
Both Aditya and Somya got frustrated now. They pray to God to do something, sometimes they pray for their death (they pray separately, not telling each other).
This becomes a regular situation in their life now. I have a solution of that situation, their marriage... they will come out of that situation when they get married. But I don't know the reason why they don't do that. They have been in relationship for the last 9 years. But still not married and stay separate. Its a big question, most important and common question from all their friends and relatives... When will they get married?

Sorry, sorry, sorry… I am extremely sorry my friends. Recently I have got one award from my friend Tarunita. Actually this is not the first award I have got, two more awards I have got before. I really feel bad for keeping those two awards for so long. Actually you all are so fantastic; I couldn’t select 12 or 15 from the list of my total friends. It’s an excuse, ok… no more excuse… it’s enough; basically I am a lazy person. It’s very difficult for me to get time after working for 10-11 hours a day, find it really challenging to manage my blogs.

Always find it very difficult to write or speak anything about self

Net surfing – especially reading blogs of different people of the world, knowing their culture, their ideas. Writing also (started only six months back), sharing my thoughts and life style with the people of world.

Enjoy Eating Chocolate And Save Your Heart

People who have a habit of eating chocolate, there is a good news for them. A chocolate a day can keep heart attacks away. Researchers say only one small square of 100 gram chocolate bar (approximately six grams) a day might help lower our blood pressure and reduce the risk for heart disease.
After analysing the diet and health habits of 19,357 people, aged 35 to 65, for at least 10 years, German researchers found that the chocoholics (ate the most chocolate, an average of 7.5 grams a day) had lower blood pressure and were 39% less likely to have a heart attack than the others (ate the least amount of chocolate, an average of 1.7 grams a day).
But, that doesn't mean you will intake chocolate as much as possible, according to German Doctors, eating chocolate shouldn't increase a person's overall intake of calories or reduce the consumption of healthy foods. Small amount of chocolate may help to prevent heart disease, but only if it replaces other energy-dense food, such as snacks, in order to keep body weight stable.
Chocolate releases endorphins in the brain that acts as a pain reliever, will boost appetite without causing weight gain, reduces the risk of heart disease and cancer and increases longevity.
Cocoa, the main ingredients of chocolate, is an excellent source of polyphenols. Polyphenolls are very good antioxidants that destroys free radicals in a body. Free radicals are very dangerous to human body, can cause cancer and heart diseases.
Chocolates have a large amount of nitric oxide. It helps in maintaining a healthy blood pressure.
So, don't be too late... forget about your teeth, start eating chocolate from today itself... at least one small square a day and live a life with a fewer chances of heart attacks and strokes.

This is for all mothers in the world.

Mothers are God for her child. Just like God is responsible for us, his creations, a mother is responsible for her child. Hence, she should be treated with all the dignity and respect possible.
We should really thank our mothers for everything they had done for us. She fed us, burped us, spent many sleepless nights to take care of us, walked up in the middle of the night to comfort us, all this she did selflessly and without any help. Really hats off to them.
Mother doesn't exist until the birth of a baby takes place. The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. A mother also starts her new life along with her child. Child starts learning from her mother how to survive in this world and the mother starts learning about motherhood.
The hearts of the child and the mother are connected so strongly, that you can't hide anything from your mother. She can read her child so accurately even from long distance away.
Mother is the only person in the world who can open her arms selflessly to love her child, she can do anything for her child... she always feels her child very innocent and little kid, whatever may be the age of her child is.

Mom, I know your arms are always open

when I need a hug.

Your heart understand when I need a friend.

Your strength and love

guide me and give me wings to fly...

Sleep Properly To Ensure Happiness

I feel quite tired, it was a very hectic week. I hardly slept for 4-5 hours only in the night for the last one week; daily returning home from work after 7 O'clock in the evening and watching Twenty20 cricket world cup on television till 11 and after that sitting in front of laptop till 1.30 or 2 O'clock, and again waking up 6.30 in the morning. I know it's not good for health, already I have some problem in my digestive system (medically called Esophagitis with Hiatus Hernia).
Normally a human being should have a sound sleep of 6-8 hours in the night, I read somewhere that lack of sleep increases risk of early death. People who sleep for less than six hours each night were 12% more likely to die prematurely than those who get the recommended 6-8 hours sleep. I don't know the actual fact, but I can say that sleep is one of the key factors in our daily life, sleep is needed for the body to be able to function properly. When you don't get enough sleep, you find the next day very irritating... you have an inability to think clearly, and feel very unhappy. To ensure happiness through out the day you need to have a good night of sleep.
So, without any delay I will start sleeping early from next week onwards... right from the beginning of the week, I mean from Monday I will try to sleep by 11 O'clock in the night.

Pleasant Weekend

The weekend was very pleasant. The temperature was roaming around 42 degree to 44 degree Celsius for the last 15 days or so. Evening thunder shower in the last couple of days brought down the mercury height. A big relief from the scorching heat wave for the last couple of weeks. Yesterday the maximum temperature recorded was 36.7 degree Celsius, 2 degree below normal. The weather of yesterday evening was awesome, we went for a drive and then had a cup of coffee; And while coming back visited Chungwa, (one of the best Chinese restaurant of Delhi and we are the regular customer of them) and had some Chinese dishes. The rain and the pleasant weather is more than welcome by the Delhiites, people enjoyed every moment of this super cool weekend. We hope the weather continues for some more days so that we can enjoy it more.

Believe it or not, but yes this is Indian Road. And surprisingly, during the office hours, 10'clock in the morning. Really amazing scene, roads are almost empty... no vehicle at all, except a few bicycles.

These photos were taken by one of my friends on 27th of April'2010 during the 12-hour nationwide strike called by opposition parties (13 non-NDA, non-UPA parties) against price rise.

Finally we've got one female winner for Dance India Dance. Really it's a big achievement, a female won a reality show through public voting, unbelievable.

Count Down Begins for Grand Finale of DID2

Finally we've got four contestants for the finale of Dance India Dance season 2. Kunwar Amarjeet was the last contestant to eliminate before finale. As I already predicted in my previous post, the four finalists are Shakti Mohan from Terence Ki Toli, Punit Pathak from Remo Ke Rangeelay and Binny Sharma & Dharmesh Yelande (Dharmesh Sir) from Geeta Ki Gang. The winner will get crowned with the Sunehri Taqdeer Ki Topi on the 23rd of April. The countdown has already begun for the finale, only 25 hours to go.
What do you think? Who will be the winner?
I guess it would be either Dharmesh or Shakti.

Scorching And Very Hot Weekend

I had planned to go to the stadium (Firozshah Kotla) to watch today’s crucial IPL cricket match (virtual quarter final) between our team Delhi Daredevils and Deccan Chargers. But, I had to change my plan due to scorching heat outside for the last couple of days. It is the mid April, but Saturday recorded the highest temperature in the month of April since 1958 with the maximum temperature touching 43.7 degree Celsius, eight degree above normal. Today’s temperature is also around 43 degree Celsius. In the evening, I went for shopping; purchased some shirts for me and had burger at McDonalds. After coming back from shopping I have drunk lots of water. During the whole day, my main intake was water… lots of water… cold water, chilled water, with Glucon-D, even Cold drinks also.

As per the Met department, the temperature will fall marginally to about 40 degrees Celsius. A western disturbance, approaching the western Himalayan region, will bring rain to Himachal Pradesh and may be even Punjab.

Now watching match on television, Delhi is not doing well. Six wickets have fallen, still 60 runs required from 30 balls with only 4 wickets in hand… it’s difficult… very very difficult. Oh no! One more wicket’s gone. The match’s gone I guess.

India Celebrate New Year In Different Shades

Today is 14th April, the new year day in India. It marks the biggest harvest festival and beginning of a new Hindu solar year, different parts of the country celebrate the new year in different hues. Baisakhi - celebrated in Punjab and North India, Bihu in Assam, Nabo Barsho or Poila Boishakh in Bengal, Vishu in Kerala, Puthandu in Tamil Nadu, Maha Vishuba Sankranti in Orissa. In many places the day is marked by ritualistic bathing in sacred rivers like the Ganges.

Baisakhi

In Punjab, the celebrations start early as devotees, with flowers and offering in their hands, proceed towards the gurdwaras and temples before dawn. Processions through cities are also common. Baisakhi is the day on which the Khalsa (the pure ones) was born and Sikhs are given a clear identity and a code of conduct to live by. The event was led by the last living Guru, Guru Govind Singh Ji.

Shubho Nabo Barsho (Poila Boishakh)

In Bengal, on this day, Bengalis wear new clothes and go about socializing. Poila Boishakh is the day for cultural programs. Prayers are offered for the well-being and prosperity of the family. This day being auspicious, new businesses and new ventures are started.

Bihu

Bihu, the Assamese new year is a time of merriment and feasting that continue, in general, for seven days. The farmers prepare the fields for cultivation of paddy. The cows are washed and worshipped on the last day of previous year. On the new year day, people wear new clothes and village elders move from one house to another singing carols called husoris.

Vishu

The most important part of Vishu is the Vishukkani - the first to be seen on the day. According to the age-old belief of Malayalees, an auspicious kani (first sight) at the crack of dawn on the vishu day would prove lucky for the entire year. As a result, the Vishukkani is prepared with a lot of care to make it the most positive sight so as to bring alive a wonderful, propitious and prosperous new year.

Puthandu

Puthandu, the day is marked with a feast in Tamil homes and entrances to the houses are decorated elaborately with kolams. This day is celebrated by some communities with neem flowers and raw mangoes to symbolize growth and prosperity.

Maha Vishuba Sankranti

Maha Vishuba Sankranti , also known as Mesha Sankranti and Pana Sankranti. It is noted for subdued celebrations. The highlight of the day is the preparation of sweet drink called 'Pana', which is made of fruits, milk, card etc. Cultural programs are organized in some regions including literary meetings. People visit various temples and offer prayers and special pujas.

Dance India Dance 2 - Top Five Decided

One more great week, two more great episodes ended. Now only five contestants remain; this week's eliminated contestant is Amrita from Geeta Ki Gang. This week, Zee TV stars shared the stage with the six contestants of DID. Performances were entertaining and the serial stars really enjoyed dancing with dancing stars.
Shakti - Sushant and Punit - Swarn Abha got the Lux Performance of the day award. Bollywood's numero uno dancing hero Govinda was the special guest of 9th April's episode. All the contestants did excellent job to perform on the dance style challenge given by Master Terence.
The remaining five contestants are:
Kunwar Amarjeet and Shakti Mohan from Terence Ki Toli
Dharmesh Sir and Binny Sharma from Geeta Ki Gang
and Punit from Remo ke Rangeeley.
Superb result so far... two girls in the final five... for the first time in the history of public voting...amazing.

3G Spectrum Auction Begins In India

Finally, the much awaited auction for allocation of 3G spectrum began on Friday.
India will be among the last countries of the world to get access to 3G technology. The 3G-spectrum auctions, are expected to start a new era in broadband wireless access in the country by year end.
Nearly 132 countries across the world already have 3G technology and mobile services in one form or the other. Even in Africa, 31 countries already have access to 3G. These include countries like Botswana, Mozambique, Rwanda, Sudan etc.
According to industry data, there are nearly 4.7 billion mobile users worldwide, out of which roughly 13% are 3G users.
The first commercial 3G network was launched by NTT Docomo of Japan on 1st October,2001. The second network to go live was SK Telecom in South Korea in January,2002.
The first commercial US 3G network was by Monet Mobile Networks, but the operator had to shut down operations. The second network was from Verizon Wireless in October,2003, followed by AT&T Mobility.
In Europe, mass commercial 3G services were introduced in March,2003 by 3 (part of Hutchison Whampoa) in UK and Italy.
The first African use of 3G technology was in Johannesburg on the Vodacom network in November,2004, followed by the first commercial launch by EMTEL in Mauritius.
The launch of 3G in China occurred on 1st October,2009 to coincide with the 60th Anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
India officially received its first 3G services through Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) in 2008, followed by BSNL. 3G services by private service providers are expected by the end of 2010.
There are six major telecom firms (Reliance Communications, MTNL, Tata Telecom, Tata Communications, Idea & Bharti Airtel) have started bidding for three pan-India slots across 22 telecom circles. On the first day, the auction yielded Rs.16,000 crore, it's likely to raise at least Rs.30,000 crore for the government and bring high-speed internet, video streaming, television and other next generation services to us.

DID 2 + DID 1 = Mind Blowing

One more weekend's gone, only 6 contestants are remaining. The show is heading towardsthe finale on 23rd April. The performances are getting better as the competition is getting tougher. Last weekend we saw some amazing performances by all contestants and lots of grand salute from grand master Mithunda. There was only one comment from Mithunda almost for all performances... "Kya baat, kya baat... kya baat".
The last eliminated contestant was 17 years old Saajan Singh.

All the contestants danced brilliantly against Master Remo's challenge and on Saturday we saw the top seven contestants from Dance India Dance season 1 joined this year's contestants on stage. King of locking and popping Prince was simply the best of the lot, nobody can beat him in his style, not even Dharmesh Sir. A duet of locking & popping by Prince and Dharmesh was mind blowing.

As the four contestants will make it to the 23rd April's finale, two contestants will be eliminated before that. It looks like Dharmesh, Shakti, Punit and Binny will be the four finalist. Let's see what will happen in the next two weeks.

World Health Day - April 7

World Health Day is celebrated every year on April 7, under the sponsorship of the WHO (World Health Organization).
In 1948, WHO held the first World Health Assembly. They decided to celebrate 7th April of every year, with effect from 1950, as the World Health Day. The World Health Day is celebrated to create "awareness of a specific health theme to highlight a priority area of concern for the WHO". Theme of World Health Day2010 is 'Be part of a global movement to make cities healthier', it will focus on urbanization and health. With the campaign "1000 cities - 1000 lives", the events will be organized worldwide. Globally, there is a marked increase in the number of people suffering due to lifestyle related diseases and India is no different.
Healthy living is not difficult to learn and practice. Doctors advise that regular morning and evening walk together with proper sleep and good diet is a must for maintaining a good health.
Several alternative therapies are also becoming popular nowadays. Some traditional therapies like ayurveda, homeopathy, yoga etc. ensure complete wellness. Other emerging therapies are like dance therapy, prayer therapy, color therapy etc. are also becoming a popular option to cure the lifestyle diseases. Why Planning Is Important?

One night four college students were playing cards till late night and could not study for the test which was scheduled for the next day.

In the morning they thought of a plan. They made themselves look as dirty with grease and dirt. They then went up to the Dean and said that they had gone out to a wedding last night and on their return the tyre of their car burst and they had to push the car all the way back and that they were in no condition to appear for the test.

So the Dean said they could have the re-test after 3 days. They thanked him and said they would be ready by that time.

On the third day they appeared before the Dean. The Dean said that as this was a Special Condition Test, all four were required to sit in separate classrooms for the test. They all agreed as they had prepared well in the last 3 days.

The Test consisted of 2 questions with a total of 100 Marks.

Mohabbat - A Real love Story (Episode 2)

Yes, once again God saved Aditya. He's come out of the situation which I had described in the first episode of this story. Somya has forgotten everything and comeback to her love of life, Aditya.
Oh sorry, last time I had forgotten to introduce the hero and heroine of my story.
Let me do that first; Aditya, hero of my story, a simple and introvert guy from a middle-class family of Kolkata. He came to Delhi for his job ten years back.
Somya, heroine of my story; a very beautiful, smart, and extrovert Delhi girl.
Their love story had started long time back, I don't remember the exact time... but it was around nine years from now; when Aditya got fractured in his left foot and Somya used to come to see him as a good friend and neighbor. It was a very lonely, helpless period of Aditya's life; when nobody was there in his home to help him out and he found the presence of sweet little Somya the most valuable. She used to come to him after her classes and used to help him and spend 20-30 minutes with him. This 20-30 minutes of everyday was the most memorable time period of Aditya's life; he used to wait for the next day to come so eagerly. He discovered a new development in his life at that time; the day started becoming incomplete without seeing her for a moment. The feeling, that started to grow in his life, was something beyond everything, it's really inexplicable. Is this called Love? He didn't know the answer before, but slowly he started realising that Somya had already taken the most important position in his life.

This weekend contestant got a chance to swap teams with each other and got that one chance to learn choreography from other team's masters. This episode was themed 'Adla Badli' and we witnessed some brilliant performances by four new couples under the guidance of their new masters. Amrita and Jack got the best performance of the day award.
Actor Riteish Deshmukh was the guest of the episode.

Have you ever seen India Gate without light? This is going to happen today evening from 8.30 PM to 9.30 PM. India Gate will plunge into darkness for an hour along with other global landmarks like Egypt’s Great Pyramids, China’s Forbidden City and Paris’ Eifel Tower as part of the worldwide Earth Hour campaign.

Like last year, the capital of India is again promising to join 1100 cities and towns across the world and turn into an area of darkness from 8.30 PM to 9.30 PM during Earth Hour today to generate awareness about climate change.

Delhi, along with Mumbai and Bengaluru, is the official Earth Hour 2010 city in India. At least 121 countries are expected to participate in the global climate action.

What is Earth Hour?

Earth Hour is largely a symbolic worldwide campaign by WWF (World Wide Fund) to raise awareness about climate change. It began in Sydney in 2007 when 2.2 million people switched off the lights in their homes and offices for 60 minutes to make a point about electricity consumption and pollution.

Last year, Delhi saved up to 600 MW power during Earth Hour. This year Delhi is geared up and ready to save more power.

India Celebrating Ram Navami (Birthday of Lord Rama)

Today is Ram Navami, the birthday of Lord Rama. It's being celebrated in a religious manner all over India.
The festival falls in the Shukla Paksha on the Navami, ninth day of the Chaitra month of Hindu Calendar.
At some places the festival lasts the whole nine days of the Navratras, thus the period is called 'Sri Rama Navratra'.
Many followers keep fast or restrict themselves to a specific diet in accordance to Veda Dharma for nine days of Navratras. Along with Sri Rama, people also worship Sita, Rama's wife; Lakshmana, Rama's brother, and Hanuman, an ardent devotee of Rama and the leader of his army in the battle against the Asura Ravana.
