Tea-party favorite O'Donnell endorses Romney

Statement from Mitt Romney's campaign:

“Christine has been a leader in the conservative movement for many years,” said Mitt Romney. “Christine recognizes that excessive government threatens us now and threatens future generations, and I am pleased to have her on my team.”

For me this comes across as some sort of joke and is probably laughed at even more by those who have no support for the Republicans whatsoever. This endorsement is meaningless and (expectedly) will only be received well by the most ardent Romney supporters.

I would give this announcement a big yawn but the fact is that between Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney being the ones sold as the top two runners for the Republican candidates has me thinking one horrible thought:

President Obama is going to get a second term.

Voters that don't support Barack Obama aren't going to feel like voting for the lesser-of-two-evils this time around. Myself included. Especially considering i felt like i had to hold my nose to cast that vote for John McCain in 2008. In truth, neither Newt Gingrich nor Mitt Romney are going to bring over a respectable amount of former supporters upset with Barack Obama to Republicans in 2012.

All in all it's disappointing how many people think Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney are a good choice. Talk about the potential to throw your votes away.

I'm no big listener of Glenn Bleck by far (in fact i'm not a listener at all) but i find kind of hilarious that some conservative bloggers and other conservatives are turning on him for his recent comments on the tea party and Newt Gingrich. In a way he may be right about some of Newt Gingrich's supporters. Newt Gingrich, in many ways, is a mini-Obama and all around phony.

Which what does that leave concerning Newt Gingrich's supporters. Especially given that Gingrich has quite a few views, historically, that are compatible with President Obama's? Some of them are thinking of Obama's race when throwing support behind Gingrich.

Then we have this from Marooned in Marin that drags Michael Savage in:

Well, of course they're doing what they're doing for a 'quick buck'. Those are the career choices they made and most in the media do what they do for a quick buck. As do career politicians that play both sides of the fence for support and $$ like Gingrich. But, as i know it, neither one has said they were ever lockstep conservatives. Especially concerning Michael Savage. Yet it sounds like the author is blasting the conservatives they looked up to that fooled them for their support.

And they start with quoting Matthew 7:15 (out of correct usage mind you). They become even more laughable when they call Ron Paul, "Al-Queda's favorite candidate" and they can't even spell Al-Qaeda correctly. To continue on to the end of their tiring and "pick and choose" of Gingrich's recent history that has harmed the USA (NAFTA and WTO anyone?) the fact they think that Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann or Rick Santorum are great choices says a lot too.

"True" conservatives like MaroonedinMarin may as well campaign for Barack Obama in 2012. They're choices for the GOP candidate will make Obama's re-election a cakewalk.

US Army Offering Training on Civilian Detainees - Effects on Domestic Rights

It's known that every individual that enters the Army (or any military branch for that matter) will choose the path they want to take during their time in the military. Which, in the case of the Army and Marines is known as a Military Occupational Specialty code. In the Army, 31E MOS is comprised of training now including responsibilities such and command and control of prisoners of wars and civilian internees.

At the current time civilian means citizens in foreign countries being interned in their own nations by our military. But the National Defense Authorization Act has now changed a lot of that in opening a new door to allowing this to more easily be applied to American citizens. This is due to the Section 1031 permitting 'indefinite detention of U.S. citizens', in the United States and outside the United States, currently in H.R.1540.

Part of the NDAA includes amendments allowing for the arrest and indefinite detention of U.S. citizens both at home and abroad.

Tariq Aziz's Execution to be Carried Out Once U.S. Troops Leave Iraq

Tariq Aziz, born Mikhail Yuhanna, who served on the Iraqi Revolutionary Command Council is set to be executed in 2012 once U.S. troops leave the nation according to the Iraqi prime minister's officials.

For Tariq Aziz's lawyer, Badi Arif, the announcement came at a bit of a shock since they did not expect the government 'would be that stupid'. Who expects the execution will weaken and divide the nation even further. Especially since American troops are leaving.

Captured in April of 2003 Tariq Aziz served as Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister under Saddam Hussein and the Ba'ath Arab Socialist Party. He and Saddam Hussein met as activists under the Ba'ath Arab Socialist Party in the 1950s. Aziz's sentence to death was brought about at trial in front of the Iraqi High Tribunal in October of 2010 which shocked his family after being read. Yet, from Tariq Aziz's various comments, it wasn't much a surprise to himself since he always knew, in his own words, "They'll find a way to kill me."

Following the sentencing Amnesty International had spoke out against the outcome of execution for Tariq Aziz seeing such an act a violation of human rights.

After the verdict was announced, Amnesty International urged Iraq not to carry out the sentences, even as it acknowledged the brutality of Hussein's regime. They were joined by the Vatican in opposition. In short, many in and outside of Iraq believe this will harm any chance of reconciliation and peace within Iraq.

Tennessee Valley Authority Approves Finishing Construction on Bellefonte Nuclear Generating Station

On Thursday night the Tennessee Valley Authority, August 18th 2011, has approved the finishing the construction of a nuclear power plant in Alabama. Building of the nuclear power plant, the Bellefonte Nuclear Generating Station, started in 1974 but stalled in 1988 after funds ran out and the need for a new plant wasn't exactly required at the time.

When the construction of nuclear plant finishes around 2020 it'll be the 105th nuclear power plant in the nation. It is also said that at least four other nuclear power plants may be constructed by 2020 depending on how many lower-cost power plants (such as natural gas power plants) are constructed by then. This plant is estimated to cost around $4.9 billion in approved funds while offering 2,800 construction jobs and 650 permanent employee work after the Bellefonte Nuclear Generating Station has completed construction. When in operation it will provide enough electricity estimated to 750,000 homes in the region of the nuclear power plant.

The only thing stopping the building of the nuclear power plant now is getting approval from the Nuclear Regulator Commission to be the plant which many expect to be granted. Of course, i expect protesters to come out in the coming months and years opposing the building of this nuclear power plant. What's already being brought up is the Fukushima Daiichi meltdown in Japan as reason why we shouldn't build this plant and move on to "newer" alternative energy sources.

Which would be great, and i would be in support of, but most of them do not provide the energy needs required by this nation. Especially the energy-hogging major cities that are filled with anti-nuclear power 'activists'. Perhaps if they did their part and demand lowered power usage in their own homes and amongst all the lights, LED and LCD displays and other extraneous energy strains in their cities then maybe what they have to say would have more sway. But unless they're willing to force energy usage cuts in their cities then they have no right to say a thing. But we'll just have to wait and see if the plant is finished by 2020 and not halted over environmental concerns.

While the doubling of support for Michelle Bachmann, for Republican presidential nomination, is great for her and those around her that's about as far as it goes. In my opinion her nomination as the RNC pick for the 2012 candidacy may as well be unofficially handing a second term to Barack Obama. In the past she has turned Republicans away and it's no different now. Only it'll be on a wider scale concerning Republican voters.

Then again Mitt Romney is hardly any better and another Republican, like Bachmann, pushing the same falsities hoping to become the Republican nominee. It's not any better than the liars among the Democrats; including the whole of Obama's administration so far. Third comes Sarah Palin (who isn't in the race as of yet) who should be a definite NO. Ron Paul is the only one who will stand by his views, opinions and policies and probably is the only one who has the strength to beat Obama. If Bachmann is the choice of the Tea Party and they get out the vote in 2012 they will be handing the election to Obama.

But there are a whole load of Republicans that i know will never vote for him on issues of 'endless war' alone since Ron Paul is against such a thing. The rest of the Republican nominees will do no different and expand wars (and also start new ones). Which is the same thing President Obama has done. Only Republicans will vote for a Romney or a Bachmann even if they continue the same policies as Obama. All in all it's like an endless circle.

It's Going to Be a Great Summer in Chicagoland

Then we have that joke Rahm Emanuel acting like he's going to clean things up when it's been his policies and those around him that have helped contribute to this. Yes, Chicago's been a mess going back to the 1970s and while Rahm Emanuel wasn't a part of that the "social-liberal" experiment Chicago (much like other major cities) has pushed is finally beginning to show its fruits. This is what matured modern social liberalism looks like.

To us untrained people who aren't white-guilt ridden this appears to be nothing but thuggery but to a white liberal this is progress and multiculturalism aka 'they're only acting out due to the system of institutionalized white racism and they'll stop once there is complete equality'. Or something along those lines. If any sort of fight back against crime occurs in Chicago i'm sure, sooner or later, the NAACP and other similar groups will begin pushing back crying about civil rights violations and the crime will continue unabated until Chicago falters after decades of this sort of behavior. Actually, there are a lot of people who are probably surprised that Chicago is still standing now.

The worst thing about this whole situation is that most of the victims do not want to file police reports because they have little trust in the police and the courts. Another side effect of "glorious modern liberalism". When one votes for leftists, Democrats and their modern version of the plantation this is what they get. They elect the people who keep them in bondage.

Maybe in a couple decades more of this and Chicago will have Detroit looking like a good place to live in comparison.

Good on CBS to report this. Yet, in typical liberal media fashion, they forget to mention what policies are behind the rising unemployment. But you won't ever see them criticizing the White House unless there is an (R) in there. They had no problem placing a lot of blame on Bush during his years yet they (and should i say proudly) practice a type of 'self-censorship' when it comes to Obama. The police clearly overstepped their bounds and although there clearly isn't really any full-on police brutality the police shouldn't have reacted as they did in the first place.

Some may have their excuses to defend what the police did such as, "the protesters were violating the rights of others" and "your rights end where the rights of others begin". There is no such thing as "limits that come with freedom" either. I'm in no way of support of the Code Pink morons that were near Adam Kokesh at the time nor do i think they should be allowed anywhere near Arlington Cemetery. But there was no justification for these people being arrested.

I don't care if Adam Kokesh has been on Russia Today or any other excuse anyone has in their mind to justify what happened to these people. They have rights too and being in support of what the police did in this instance makes you seem more like a hope-and-changer than a conservative.

Draconian Anti-Piracy Censorship Bill Passes Senate Committee: "The controversial PROTECT IP Act unanimously passed the Senate Judiciary Committee today. When the PROTECT IP Act becomes law U.S. authorities and copyright holders will have the power to seize domains, block websites and censor search engines to prevent copyright infringements. Introduced just two weeks ago, the bill now heads over to the Senate for further consideration and another vote."

This is only the beginning of what the Protect IP Act is meant for. In my opinion it's more like a beta test in preparation for the government to block or seize certain websites at will whenever they deem them to be. Yes, today it's for "copyright infringement" but tomorrow it'll be for 'speech not permitted by the government'. It doesn't matter if the government says a million times over that they won't abuse. Sooner or later a mindset will sneak into Washington, DC that they will use to justify censorship of speech which is clearly covered by our Freedom of Speech. Which will lead to this bill having freedom-crushing bits added to it over time.

While many people may believe the government doesn't understand the need for complete freedom on the internet and the implications if it isn't there i believe they do understand the implications. And ultimately those implications are very likely to be their goals given the air of superiority over Americans surrounding Washington. I just hope this bill is never implemented.

Joplin, Missouri Tornado Victims Count Back Up to 139

From Reuters: "Seven more people were confirmed dead over the last 24 hours, bringing the number of fatalities from the powerful Joplin tornado to 139, the city said on Saturday."

The Joplin, Missouri tornado has been one of the most dangerous going back to the late 1940s according to records. Officials estimate that at least 900 people were injured. So far 48 victims of the disaster have been identified. Expectedly, there are some people not completely satisfied with the aftermath. Mainly dealing with the slowness of identifying victims of the tornado for family members who want a decent, acceptable timeline of as quickly as possible for funerals for their loved ones.

While Barack Obama is set to visit Joplin and speak at a memorial service it's hardly going to have an impact on the city. Just like the wealth of this nation goes to the richest 10% or so that same wealth also gets funneled to the largest cities first. The rest, especially a town in the Midwest, just about gets the 'hand-me-downs'. Joplin will recover economically and rebuild but the effect on the people there from this tornado will last the rest of their lives and affect generations to come.

With the approval of H.R. 1540 it seems those in the House of Representatives who approved it have now authorized endless war. The Defense Authorization Act is a big mistake as its effect on terrorism is going to minimal. In fact, it's more likely that it'll increase the ire of people against the United States and cause a massive rise in anti-Americanism over the next decade and beyond. When the Senate votes on (and probably passes) their own version both H.R. 1540 and the Senate bill will go to Barack Obama. Which there is no doubt he'll sign them because it's so becoming of his peace prize!

Now that the Executive Branch will have unchecked war power authorities when does war start or end when the rest of the government and us, the people, have barely any say in it? If our war becomes more about "because we can" than actually about fighting against corrupt leaders it's going to have quite the negative effect on this nation. In short, we'll be a nation bankrupt in more ways than one.

And what happens if Americans begin to massively protest over anything from the erosion of our rights or a breakdown of our economy? Will a president or any of the influential people in the Executive Branch feel 'adventurous' enough to turn the "war machine" against the American people" on behalf of other interests -- such as foreign interests. If anything is the biggest sign of a step towards tyranny then this large step towards more unchecked war powers is the closest thing yet.

Baja Arizona, Aztlán and the Reconquista - A Fracturing United States?

We've all seen the talk in recent months and especially recent days about 'Baja Arizona' as a means to separate a more "liberal" Arizona from the rest of the state. Or as Wonkette's Ken Layne puts it, "beautiful natural scenery" versus "awful white residents". Wonkette writer Ken Layne goes on:

"For those Americans who think of Arizona at all, there are two distinct parts of the forty-eighth state: the beautiful natural scenery and the awful white residents. But a brave band of liberal revolutionaries in the smart-person stronghold of Pima County is reviving a 45-year-old plan to split Tuscon and the surrounding Sonoran desert from those hideous cretins in their Phoenix hellscape."

What Ken doesn't say is that the "liberal revolutionaries" behind this are WHITE liberals who make up 75% of Pima County's population. Pima County, which would make up most of Baja Arizona.

And i would hardly say these majority white, liberal "revolutionaries" are smart bringing up splitting the state along political lines. For one it would hardly turn out well for a place such as Baja Arizona. On one side they'd have the Reconquistas wanting their Aztlán and the other would be the more conservative types they insult which would not acknowledge their existence nor aid them in such a retaking of Baja Arizona for Aztlán.

And that would be the more than likely intent of those friendly towards the Aztlán message that most white liberals there believe is only a myth while many Mexicans do not and actively believe in reclaiming the Southwest as they see many treaties as invalid involving the area of Aztlán. And in Arizona's case, the Gadsden Treaty.

Mainly white liberals calling for the splitting of Arizona into two believe it'll lead to their supposedly "racist-free" Baja Arizona. So as long as it's governed by white liberals that is. Their hopes for a "conservative free state" is not meant to be for the benefit of minorities and illegals as a civil rights/freedom gesture, no. They want a liberal state run by the hands of whites only without any sort of, as they see, "religious or conservative" influence. So if you're Hispanic and fit into this category you best believe a white liberal will NOT accept you unless you fit into their view of a perfect person eligible to live in their perfect "state". That means you better not enjoy private businesses, tamper-free elections and low taxes either. Remember, it is the white liberal who helped build up the so-labelled institutions of white privilege in universities, schools and many employers. They're also the first ones to lie to you in denying such a thing.

Now this is where i may get a little controversial for some but I'm going to go along anyway. If any sort of state such as Baja Arizona became a reality i openly invite (and hope) all those Mexicans who believe in Aztlán to go for it. Infiltrate every single part of a white liberal government by the sheer numbers and their likely lax policies of allowing anyone to vote in their elections. Overwhelm them and take their liberal state away.

Let it become a part of Mexico. Let it become a part of Aztlán or whatever you decide to call it. I'd respect a exclusive Hispanic nation/state coming about in the Southwest more than a white liberal one. They see, as Wonkette's Ken Layne puts it, the housing of the mostly Hispanic areas of the foothills of Tucson as "repulsive stucco ghettos". These are the white people, the white liberals, in the open; clear racists who want a state such as Baja Arizona done their way. They only respect your rights as long as their in charge of their white, liberal utopia.

A white, liberal extremely far-fetched formation of a state such as Baja Arizona would have no respect for efforts such as Project Amigos either unless that was also on their terms. That's why i, as i said before, hope Hispanics who have the dream of Aztlán overwhelm such a state through sheer numbers and votes and force them to secede from the United States. While in the past i never truly had thoughts of a fractured United States it seems modern liberals are doing everything they can to create such an atmosphere along political and social lines.

And i, for one, won't hinder their rights. If anything, i would help them along into their descent into such a fracture away from the United States in any geographical form. I'm all for Project Amigos as a reality as long as it is on friendly terms and not on the terms of reverse-thinking white liberals who want everything done their way. Because, when it comes down to it, the white liberal is the biggest 'domestic hatemonger'. Only because they keep their racism and intolerance for those unlike them hidden until you get the upper hand on them. And it's definitely been proven recently that modern, white American liberals are only anti-war when their man isn't in the White House. Sure that can be said of the further right conservatives but as many of us become more Libertarian we also become more anti-war in most instances. Such as would be in Iraq and now Afghanistan now that Bin Laden is deceased.

To end, i would rather not see such a fractured United States come about in the next century or perhaps less. Yet what happens as history marches on cannot be prevented. But events can be formed and guided little by little in a beneficial manner. There is no place for a Baja Arizona in my opinion unless it's a part of Aztlán. That's my honest opinion however controversial it may be.

Obama Campaign Manager, Jim Messina, Calls for 'Insurgent Campaign' in Obama's 2012 Run

Jim Messina, Obama’s former deputy chief of staff-turned-campaign manager, released a strategy video to supporters outlining the campaign’s initial steps toward securing victory next fall.

"We ought not act like an incumbent, we’ve got to act like an insurgent campaign that wakes up every single day, trying to get every single vote we can."

Someone should tell Jim Messina (Obama's campaign manager, not the singer ;) the real definition of an insurgent. Or perhaps he should choose better wording.

Here's the definition:

"A person who rises in forcible opposition to lawful authority, especially a person who engages in armed resistance to a government or to the execution of its laws."

Now imagine how that sounds if Obama were to get a second term? Does this mean we will be seeing Black Panthers and ACORN members "volunteering" at polling places with night sticks? Does that mean we'll see Organizing for America chaining themselves together and blocking polling stations in areas around the nation that are not as supportive of Obama?

While i doubt it i wouldn't put it past some of Obama's bobbleheaded supporters.

Or, even worse, acts of extreme violence we only see in other more politically unstable countries. I wouldn't put that past some of the more extreme Obama supporters either. This could very well be what Jim Messina, whether intentional or not, looks to wake up inside Obama supporters as if they're the 'personal army' to secure his re-election.

Truthfully, how else are we supposed to take such a statement directly coming from Obama's campaign manager? Especially when many of Obama's supporters are a bit unhinged when it comes to the 'cult'. If anyone in the center or right would've said this it'd be all over the media. Of course, we'll hear none of it on mainstream news. Even if, in the very unlikely event, such "election securing" by Obama supporters came true.

Even With Tweaks, Taxing Internet Sales Is a Bad Idea - California Democrats continue to pursue constitutionally dubious bills aimed at forcing online-only retailers with no physical presence in the state to collect and remit sales tax.

Illinois tries to make its spending woes America’s problem - As early as this week, Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) told The Post he will propose sweeping legislation to tax all online purchases -- in a move aimed at closing state budget shortfalls.

In typical Democrat fashion, Democrats in California and Illinois are looking to join some of their peers by pushing an internet sales tax. And what "better" way for them to collect on their own debts than through taxing people, thus raising the price of online goods, killing off affiliate programs in these states (i.e. Amazon, eBay). Affiliate programs that people rely on for extra income. Not to mention punish small businesses, online or real world, who have affiliate relationships with these companies; thus forcing them to close up shop and move to a friendlier state if possible for them.

Of course, Democrats arrogantly believe that the states they are slowly (or quickly) running into the ground should be "bailed out" by a nation-wide internet sales tax. So their burden becomes all of our burdens while they continue to spend, spend, spend like it's going out of style.

"The Department of Homeland Security is beefing up its terror alert warning system in a move that will see terror alerts, whether real or phony, issued via the mainstream media and directly to your phone or computer over social networking sites, and even via Emergency Alert broadcasts."

We all remember how much of a joke the color-coded system was and how much it was ignored by most of the population. Now DHS, under Janet Napolitano, have come out the a way to keep the fear-mongering going in a more 'technologically up-to-date' and viral way. Liberals across the nation will be on their highest alert of paranoia getting alerts about boogeymen and the occasional "report to your nearest safe zone" alert.

Given the history of those in the Obama administration there is no doubt that this will be less about giving credible terror alerts and more about political agendas. What a better way to reign in more consolidated (mainly white liberal) minds in places like, maybe NYC by playing off their intolerances and having them fear "roving gangs of tea partiers" holding gatherings. Or how about "Christian extremists" reading Bibles out in public? Maybe even warnings about children illegal selling lemonade at their lemonade stands! Oh the horror!

What a way to promote peace amongst Americans by making them paranoid enough to spy on each other! How long until everything every American does is considered suspicious behavior?

Minnesota "Social" Justice Collaborative's White Privilege Conference

"WPC is a conference that examines challenging concepts of privilege and oppression and offers solutions and team building strategies to work toward a more equitable world."

In reality it is nothing but a social justice event meant to, even though they say it is not, 'attack, degrade or beat up on white folks'. Now it is a great thing to make every body equal and i could care less about how the whites who attend the conferences are treated but the concept of a "white privilege conference" is idiotic.

If white liberals want to attend these conferences, fine with me. White liberals have been at the forefront of racism since (at least) the time when former slaves began being freed. Their favored DemoKKKrat party was founded on outlawing the rights of minorities and, these days, find sneakier ways to do such abhorrent things.

But for white liberals to think that all whites need to realize our "white privilege" is bullshit. White guilt is only for the guilty and sort of their way of saying "I'm a victim too" to fit into the victimization taught across this nation. The truth is that the white liberal is the most racist of any white person you'll ever come across once you get past their politically correct illusion. The reason they need to be a part of white privilege conferences is to fight their own racist tendencies that they usually project onto other whites by calling them racist. It's an "i'm better than you" thing for white liberals...to boost both their feeling of self-worth and fulfill their need to degrade someone based on a trait they have. Be it race, political beliefs or whatever. And the falsely labeled anti-racist's usual target is anyone outside their political leanings no matter what their color or gender is.

The truth is that a good portion of white liberals aren't above hate. They just direct their hate at a different target once "reborn" as an anti-racist who acknowledges their so-called white privilege. They haven't changed and are as racist as ever. Only now it's politically motivated and still about feeling superior to someone.

All in all, white privilege conferences change nothing. It only causes the white liberal to shift their hate towards a different (political) target.

Army General Carter Ham, 'May Send Ground Troops into Libya'

The use of an international ground force is a possible plan to bolster rebels fighting forces loyal to the Libyan leader, Ham said at a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing.

Asked if the U.S. would provide troops, Ham said, "I suspect there might be some consideration of that. My personal view at this point would be that that's probably not the ideal circumstance, again for the regional reaction that having American boots on the ground would entail."

And weren't we all told that there would be no troops on the ground in Libya?

Now they're considering actually putting a "coalition" of international and U.S. troops in Libya. So much for our peace-keeper of a president. What about Obama's biggest supporters of the anti-war crowd? Will they let this get a pass to? My guess is most likely. At least after the news is official since i wouldn't doubt that we already have troops on the ground in Libya.

The bobbleheads (mostly white liberals) who have unquestioningly fallen in line behind Obama must be hitting the Kool-Aid hard to accept a new war. Especially one that they have so vocally opposed in the past, one about oil, which Libya has a lot of. It was fine when Obama bypassed Congress and seemingly gave all authority for authorization of war to the Arab League, NATO and other groups outside the United States. So i'm guessing these same people will have no problem with a longer-term war and occupation of Libya to secure oil. As long as the one who started it doesn't have an 'R' behind their name. Even if they do behave in the same manner (only on steroids).

Image by Gage Skidmore via FlickrI commend Rand Paul for his introduction of the congressional war powers resolution. Yet the resolution that used President Obama's own words against him concerning the actions in the Libya has unfortunately been blocked.

Well this really can't be much of a surprise to anyone. With Democrats too busy playing the "we've got to protect Obama" game and Republicans falling short of making a move to gain support. This is just one event of many that's more likely to get people thinking perhaps we are living in a sort of one-party nation. A nation where Democrats and Republicans aren't truly on different sides to keep up the competition that keeps our nation lively and fights off political stagnation.

Either way Rand Paul has proven a point. We see Democrat and Republican parties that refuse to acknowledge what's in our Constitution concerning military action without Congressional approval. Republicans had no good excuse to not support this aseserting of Congress' war powers.

Republicans keep this idiocy up and they may as well just kiss a presidential win in 2012 goodbye before it even begins.

Elizabeth Taylor had been battling heart problems since 2004 and had been in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center since February where she passed surrounded by her children.

Neo-libs everywhere are rejoicing. Remember – war is evil unless it’s sprinkled with the magic pixie dust of UN endorsement and “humanitarian” rhetoric, in which case the dead bodies, the terror, and the screaming children are all worth it. The fact that Libya is the richest oil nation on the entire African continent is a mere coincidence. Go back to sleep – basketball is on the TV. Soon you’ll be able to crack open a 6 pack and enjoy the air strikes like you would a Dwyane Wade slam dunk.

Will the liberals end up calling Obama a warmonger? My guess is no since this is a so-called humanitarian effort sponsored by the UN. And forget the fact that Libya has some of the largest oil reserves in Africa. The UN-centered 'world order' isn't going to redistribute their oil wealth...no way would they ever do that!

Is Hillary Clinton Tired of 'Battling' Inaction within the Obama Administration?

Fed up with a president “who can’t make his mind up” as Libyan rebels are on the brink of defeat, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is looking to the exits.

It doesn't surprise me that reports of Hillary Clinton is tiring of the indecisiveness of the Obama administration. While Barack Obama's near silence over the recent uprisings, especially concerning Libya, may be enough for his most unquestioning supporters the weakness he is showing is upsetting people. And i can't blame Hillary if she's truly contemplating jumping from the Obama administration "sinking ship".

Sure, maybe the attention he has given to March Madness, award ceremonies and untimely vacations for him and his family is ignored by his supporters but many more Americans clearly see his inaction. The world is also watching. Iran saw it. Those in Egypt saw his lack of support. Libyans fighting for freedom are seeing it too. And who, among those fighting for freedom, in the near future is going to (unfortunately) see his inaction during their own crises?

One question remains concerning Hillary Clinton though. Is this a sign that perhaps she'll be running against Obama in 2012 for the DNC candidacy. It's extremely doubtful but you never know.

John Kerry Believes Cutting Government Excess Would 'Stifle Innovation'

Senate John Kerry (D-Mass.) warned Tuesday that spending cuts could wipe out future government achievements, like the invention of the Internet, which Kerry credited to Washington.

While it is correct that spending cuts could 'wipe out future government achievements' the kind of cuts in the government are mostly aimed at cutting the excesses of DC. That is, if politicians in Washington know well enough what should and shouldn't be cut.

And so what if some of the funding cuts go into sectors that could "stifle" innovation? If a truly innovative idea comes out of the government then i'm pretty sure they could find some sort of funding outside of their normal (taxpayer) channels.

Kerry's attempt at trying to foment 'guilt' concerning Darpa's building of the foundations of the internet shows that he's still the same joke he was in 2004. Furthermore DARPA, ARPAnet and other creations involving the internet were mostly funded through private funders and industries.

Yet the government in DC these days, given some of the reckless decisions made by the Obama administration concerning future technologies, gives many Americans the feeling Washington isn't interested as much in the future of American technological creations as they were in the past half century or so. The 'government created the internet' method of trying to secure extra funding and/or avoid funding cuts is hardly effective in the minds of American citizens these days and i can only hope its effectiveness has been reduced in the minds of politicians also.

So yes, the extra $57 billion in cuts should be passed and many future cuts should also be passed as long as they don't truly affect technological funding in this nation. Which I'm assured that it won't. John Kerry's worries about such innovation not being funded is just politician talk for being a little uneasy about the good 'ol boys club not getting their cut of the top of the funding; mainly from taxpayers. And, as i roughly said earlier, any true cuts to such innovation for future technologies could be more than covered by private industry as it has been done in the past.

All in all, Kerry's argument for resisting cuts to government was probably well received by DC politicians and unquestioningly Democrat-leaning bobbleheads around the nation but his justification for overabundant funding was more like a broken record. We've all heard it a million times and i hope all needed funding cuts do end up going through.
