During a conversation with Madam Moore (not to be confused for an actual Madam), we discussed the absurd e-book prices and how ass-backwards traditional publishing companies are approaching the market.

*Mid Rant*

Me: You know, how the hell are you suppose to find new authors when you have to pay 10 buck or more for a e-book.

Tami: Exactly!

Me: I mean, look at Harlequin, at least they offer some stuff for free.

Tami: Yep! They have it right.

Tami: (Pause)Just like drug dealers!

Me: (Stunned)

Tami: Give them a taste for free and then get them hooked! /Cackles (Tami has a mean Cackle)

Me: Holy shit, you are right!

Me: (Tries not to invision herself and Tami, like two dealers on a corner handing out novellas for free.)

Me: (Fails miserably)

Okay, this time I really didn’t do anything to kill my site.  It just happened, like a poor animal left to fend for itself, but all of its survival skills had been forgotten because it was domesticated and when I abandoned it, it crawled out of the house across the backyard into the woods and got eaten by a wolf–yeah, that is what happened to my site.

Somehow, (don’t ask how because I don’t even want to know) my database got corrupted and just like that, my WordPress install wasn’t working right. I exported my database, tried to upload it into the new install, but only errors smacked me across the face.

I don’t like being bitch-slapped.

And while very reasonable friends told me to call customer service and try to get it fix, I realized, I really didn’t care about the old posts.

They technically are okay, alive and well in the MySQL database.  I could copy and paste them, even if the import doesn’t want to work.

Just really don’t feel like wasting the time.
