Hello Again...

I am back! First of I want to apologize to everyone for just disappearing from here. My husband deployed and life became 100 times harder for me and my kids. I know deployment doesn't affect everyone the same but the first few months were the worst for us. My kids had a really hard time they started misbehaving, not listening etc.. its a hard transition to go through especially when your hardly old enough to understand. I ended up having to get on anti depressants to get through it And with the help of some awesome friends. A word of advice If your going to be going through deployment I highly recommend getting out and meeting some friends before the deployment dont wait until he leaves like I did, there is nothing like the support of a friend during deployment its nice to have someone to hang out with, eat dinner with, shop with etc..

Shortly after he returned we were stationed in Missouri where we are still at for the time being the move on top of returning home it was a whirlwind we had no time to just enjoy each other or get back into a routine but everything is going great now other than being stuck in Missouri lol. Blogging has been on my mind constantly Everyday i Think of something to blog about or share and I have just been nervous about restarting or starting where I left off im sure i have no stats at all and I don't know what to do to start I feel like i have to start all over again.

Missouri has been a huge change for us It is definently different than what I am used to never before have i walked on my front porch to run into this

When our troops are called to serve, their families must rise to meet the challenges of service as well. To thank them, Cheerios^® and the USO have partnered in a postcard campaign that spreads Cheer directly to these honorable military families and supports USO programs.

Here’s how it works:

Now through November, 2011, specially-marked boxes of Cheerios cereal will feature Cheer postcards on the front of the box. You can simply cut out the postcard from the Cheerios logo, write a message of thanks on the back, add a stamp and mail the pre-addressed card to the USO. The USO will deliver the Cheer card to military families across the country.

For Each postcard USO receives now through November 2012, Cheerios will make a $1 donation to the USO to help Fund programs that support Military families

To kick off the campaign, Cheerios has already donated $150,000 to the USO and will donate up to an additional $100,000 based upon the number of postcards received from specially marked boxes now through November 30th, 2012.

We have already watched the fun new episodes! Every holiday we always enjoy watching all the new or old holiday episodes of our favorite shows these are new ones to add to our list of favorites! And of course my little girl has to wear her Buddy costume while were watching them!

Speaking of costumes The Jim Henson company has a ton of costumes of your favorite characters to choose from. Like Buddy or Tiny and so much more. and you can find a Sid the Science kid treat bag! They have also have created a Buddy or Sid the science kid costume that you can make at home!

Floating candles is one of my favorites or even using them as vases.

I took a pic of mine and hope I got the full effect of how big they are. They retail for $29.99 and are worth every penny!

I'm not done decorating them this is just what I had on hand to use I think they look very festive for the upcoming holidays! I cant wait to use them for Christmas! Bunk Beds That Match The Children And Not Just The Room.

A child's room is a direct reflection of who they are. Even with minimal furniture, a child's character is sure to shine through the room one way or another. One of the best things you can do as a parent is promote the child's unique personality by putting furniture in the room that can only add to the child's character and development. If there are 2 children sharing the same room this can easily be achieved with bunk beds.

Nowadays, bunk beds are manufactured in a variety of styles and shapes. There are town over twin bunk beds, which are great for rooms that have limited space, singles over doubles and even full over full bunk beds. The bigger bunk beds are ideal for larger rooms and older children are more likely to accept staying in a bunk bed longer if they have a full size bed underneath.

The only limitation you have when you are selecting bunk beds for your children is your imagination and what you want the furniture to reflect about your child. The bed shown here is a good example of a simple yet bold piece of furniture for a couple of boys that are rugged and need something sturdy.

If you want the bed to be a mainstay of the room for a few years anyway, the best thing you can do is bring your children shopping with you for bedroom furniture. Sometimes they will chose something that you never would have considered and it will suit the room perfectly! At other times, caution must be exercised and a compromise reached between both the children and the parents. Designing the room

When designing your kid's’ bedroom think outside of the box and have some fun with it. Try to tie everything together including the curtains or blinds, paint colors and accessories. Bright vivid colors will add energy to the room while muted colors will add a more peaceful atmosphere. A combination of both can also be accomplished by using some creative juice and working with your kid’s character.

When a bedroom is designed from one end to the other with care and thought it can end up being a masterpiece! Think about how much time your child will be spending in his room over the course of the next few years and what he will accomplish in it. Is there a space set up for homework? Does the tone of the room offer the proper sleeping conditions? Will he have friends over that he needs to entertain?

Set a goal for the room, what types of energy you want to add to it and work together with your children to plan it out. This can end up being one of the most exciting projects you’ll ever work on and can be a creative bonding time for both you and your children.

I am always looking for new activities and projects that we as parents can do with our kids, There is nothing like spending quality time doing something fun. Red Toolbox has a huge variety of wood working projects and tools that are made just for kids. These are real wood projects and real working tools! I received the Treasure chest kit, 10 piece tool set and cordless drill to review.

Both of my kids were super excited when the packaged arrived and couldn't wait to get started! We received these right before my husband deployed and I thought this would be the perfect thing for them to do to spend some time together beforehand, And it was! They all had such a great time It was right after my surgery so I wasn't much help but I made sure to go and check on there progress.

Busy building!

It was nice to have a project they could all do together and all enjoy. My daughter is a bit young for it but they made sure to include her into building at one point they even gave her a cardboard box a few big nails and a plastic hammer so she could "Build" something herself!

All the building went smoothly I think the only thing that they had a little trouble with was putting the hinges on the lid but other than that it took them no time at all to get the treasure chest built.

That's my husbands serious face hehe

All in all it was a great day I just wish i had been up to par to be an active part in it but there will be many more times ahead of us that I am looking forward too. This was a day to remember for a long time!

This is a Kodak moment.

Red Toolbox has dozens of projects to do all in different levels of skill. I cant wait until the whole family is back together again so we can have another fun day like this. Mommy is pretty handy too so I know I will be attempting to do one here soon with the kids, Maybe we can find a kit of something we could build to send daddy in a care package for Christmas I'm sure it would be the perfect gift whatever it is!. Everything I reviewed is great quality and I recommend it to everyone with kids who love to build!.

Monkey Brains is a new collection of hair care that allows kids to be kids. To be fun, be cool and be themselves.

The Back to School season is more than just new clothes and school supplies its about every little detail right down to the hair. I know my son always talks about how he wants to wear his hair for the first day and I know I will be in for it when my daughter is school age. Good hygiene and a polished look is important to me and so is allowing my kids to be individuals and be able to choose styles and looks they like. They do have limits as to what is appropriate and what isn't but Ive never really had to remind them or say they couldn't wear what they picked. Anyways I am so glad to have found Monkey Brains hair care products for kids! It is perfect for my son to achieve the look he wants without having to use moms girly hair products. I was sent the Goop out shampoo, Super Softy conditioner and the Crazy Sticky Hair gel to review!

Fun names, Cool shaped bottles and great smelling products! What could be better?! My son LOVES them and wont use anything else. To be honest I was expecting for some odd reason to smell bananas when I opened them but To my surprise they pleasantly smell like apples i think. They smell great! And they work great too! The shampoo lathers up nicely and leaves hair clean and goop free as the name says and not just hair gel goop it takes out any kind of goop that my daughter gets in her hair during her daily adventures(jelly, Marshmallow, peanut butter) just to name a few. The conditioner leaves the hair very soft which i love! my son doesn't use it much but my daughter does she has curly hair and always has lots of tangles. And the Gel is exactly what it says it is (crazy sticky!) I had cut my sons hair super short before we received these products so It isn't long enough to spike up yet we are waiting and waiting and waiting. It usually grows really fast but I think its just the anticipation of wanting to spike it that makes it feel like its taking forever. We do however gel his hair down every morning before school he has this really annoying cowlick on the back of his head that wont stay down for nothing and the Crazy sticky gel keeps it down!

As you can tell he was very pleased for his 1rst day of school look! and couldn't wait to get out the door. Monkey Brains has offered one lucky reader to win the same products that I received!

2011 is a milestone year for Faber-Castell USA as we celebrate the 250th Anniversary of Faber-Castell and 35 years of Creativity for Kids!

Do you like to paint? I am not very good at it but I have always enjoyed it and still do. I'm the type of person to get right into finger painting along with the kids who cares about messes as long as were having fun! They can always be cleaned up. I was very excited to have been given the opportunity to review Faber-Castell's set of 12 washable tempera paints and a paint pad.

Young artists will love experimenting with the rich colors included in our non-toxic Tempera Paints. Endless color mixing possibilities!

The Paint containers looked at bit small at first but it didn't affect our amount of painting at all. I just put small amounts of each color into a palette and we went to town! We have painted a dozen times and still have paint left! Using the palette is needed with a toddler In my opinion because they don't remember to clean the brushes before using a new color usually by the time were done painting every color is brown ha ha. I was very pleased at how well the paint washed off I have used other brand name kids paints and they never come off like they are supposed to but these went above and beyond my expectations. They paint really well to nice and thick and go one smooth with bright vivid colors. We have had such a blast painting We paint a few times a week or more. My son is at school most the day so this is one activity I love to use to keep my 3 year old busy. Plus she makes beautiful artwork to put in daddy's care packages.

My son love to paint too but I think he would rather be out with the boys in the dirt while its still sunny, Pretty soon it will be nothing but rain and I know we will all be painting up a storm. It says it great for ages 3-93 but i know if I am lucky enought to live to be 100 I will still be painting! They may still look like a child painted them but its fun! I really enjoy doing activites like this with the kids it makes great memories to look back upon. There is nothing more fun than spending time with the family.

My favorite cereal has always been Golden Grahams I eat them as a snack dry and during the holidays I always make indoor S'mores. Both my kids were so excited to see there favorite cereals in a fun new way to eat them! We love these cereal treat bars and they will definitely be on my shopping list every month! They have 3 different varieties of them there are the Lucky Charms, Golden Grahams and Chex mix treats! I hope to see more new flavors.
