between kindergarten & 12th grade. Artwork displayed at various businesses on Main St.

Maure Bausch - watercolor. 5:30 - 8pm

Summer Class Schedule

August Classes

Aug. 9th Sat. 9-4pm "Quick Sketch for Travel" with Susan Thiele
$100, set of sketch supplies available for additional $15
Learn the techniques for simple and expressive quick sketches (less than 5 minutes) while
traveling. All drawing levels welcome.

Nothing starts conversations and opens doors faster than sketching while traveling! You can
sketch even when photography is not welcome! In this workshop, learn the techniques for
simple and expressive B&W quick sketches. Learn to quick sketch with confidence. We
tackle buildings, landscapes, people & quaint objects.

Aug 12, 19 & 26 Tuesdays 9am-noon "Watercolor Your Favorites" with Loretta Casler
$100 if paid in full by 8/5, $110 after 8/5
Paint your favorite things (pets, still life, landscapes, etc)

Learn about hues and you, ways to make gray, textures and how bright you might make your
subject. Bring your best watercolor supplies. 150#Arches paper will be available at cost.
This is an intermediate level class

Aug 20th Weds 10-4pm "There are no Rules in Watercolor (for portraits in watercolor" with
Maure Bausch . $100. Bring your own lunch-1/2 hour will be provided
Learn techniques where you don't have to know how to draw. Any skill level acceptable

September Classes

Sept 12th Friday 10:30 - 2:30 "Felting-New Class for Beginning and Experienced Felters"
with Linda Balas. $40 for class, plus $5 for supplies
We will explore techniques to create bowls, flowers and pouches. No needles required...
this will be wet felting only.
Bring your imagination and desire. Friendship always included. I promise it will be fun!!
You'll go home with enough supplies to continue projects at home.

SUMMER AND FALL 2011 CLASS SCHEDULE

LIFE DRAWING SESSIONS
First and Third Mondays of each month. 6:00 - 9:00PM COST: $20 per Session
We provide a live model - you come with a desire to draw!
Very professional environment to sharpen your figure drawing skills.

NEW! STUDIO PLEIN AIRE with Jeanne MacKenzie
Sunday - Tuesday: September 25-27 All Day COST: $200
This class will help you loosen up and become more spontaneous with your painting. Often we
paint ‘plein air’ with a sense of bravado and then tighten up when we work from a photo. During
the class we will use photo references while learning how to treat them as if painting the scene
on location. Emphasis will be on choosing good composition, inviting design, correct values and
color that sing. The instruction and demos will be for oils but those well versed in other mediums
are welcome. The class is available to all levels of painters.

NEW! PAINTING THE FALL LANDSCAPE IN PASTELS with Barbara Kendrick
Saturday & Sunday: September 9-10 10:00-5:00pm COST: $180
Designed for beginning and intermediate levels, this workshop will review the fundamentals
of landscape painting using pastel . Topics will include composition, values, color harmony
aerial perspective, paper options and pastel techniques. Each day will begin with a demonstration,
followed by hands-on painting with lots of individual attention. Participants may choose to
paint from any of the 3 photos shown; intermediate level artists may opt to paint from their
own photo on Day 2. Note: It is important to have an adequate set of soft pastels for this workshop.

IMPORTANT: We are asking a 50% deposit to hold a reservation for all classes.
