It has been an incredible four and a half year journey filled with the most interesting and inspiring conversations that I could have ever imagined. I wanted to take a look back, all the way to the first episode that was published on March 5, 2010 and tell the story of the show; how it all got started and how it evolved over the years.
There have been so many guests, contributors, and listeners who have been involved in making Around the Wood Stove part of the fabric of the amazing creative scene we have in Lancaster, PA and the Central PA region. Russell Frost convinced me that starting a podcast was a cool thing to do and Charlie Silvestri legitimized it by including the show in a weekly broadcast on two Philadelphia area radio stations.
Chet Williamson and John Modern were two early contributors who added new voices and fresh ideas into the mix. Mike McMonagle (music), Joanna Underhill (theatre), Shawna Stoltzfoos (film), and Steve Carlson (art) each brought news and information about creative events happening around the region through recurring monthly segments about their respective disciplines. Dozens of artists donated their time, their stories, and their inspirations as guests on the program. And finally, you the listeners, gave us all a reason to keep Around the Wood Stove going for 140 episodes.
From the bottom of my heart I say THANK YOU to everyone who contributed in some way to the success of Around the Wood Stove. The End.

It was his second visit to The Fridge in Lancaster. The Fridge is a craft beer bottle and gourmet pizza shop that celebrates live music each month with a special intimate concert series called Music Mondays.
Scott Pemberton is a guitar maniac, who literally plays like nobody else. He had been a traditional guitarist banging out a living playing live in a variety of bands and running a studio in Portland. An accident and near death experience took him away from the guitar for several months. Upon his return he focused completely on making the best music possible, formed the Scott Pemberton Trio, and began touring the country.
