This week was quite a milestone as well are approaching nearly 5,000 exhibitors for the Web’s first industrial-focused expo, the International Industrial Trade Show (IITS). Being the first year of IITS, we believe it’s a great accomplishment for a trade show that is totally unique in the industry and anything but another traditional expo. Of course, many of those in the standard trade show industry have yet to accept IITS as a legitimate virtual trade show, but so what! ArriveNEWS did not create and organize IITS to please those in the trade show industry. It has never been the intention of ArriveNEWS to create another trade show similar to other virtual events. IITS is the only trade show of its kind and we at ArriveNEWS are proud of the fact that nearly 5,000 industrial suppliers are participating. Sure, there is a long way to go as we figure out the best way to showcase exhibitors on the Web utilizing videos and other resources to demonstrate products. But the point is, IITS is still here despite what many trade experts have predicted. And it’s only the beginning. We have big plans for IITS 2009 that is going to take the world of on-line exhibitions by storm… specifically for the manufacturing community. I’ve been told not to give away too much information, but I can say, the International Industrial Trade Show is expected to grow into one of the world’s most popular exhibition. If you are not yet an exhibitor, click here to register. Manufacturers and exporters of industrial goods in all countries are welcome to participate.

New Exhibitors of IITS

Last week we added 43 new exhibitors of the International Industrial Trade Show. Including several job shops specializing in metal coatings, precision machining, tooling, extrusion, plastic injection molding and other custom manufacturing services. Once again, Asia continues to be the region with the most IITS exhibitors with North American closing fast. In fact, I predict North America will have twice as many new exhibitors as any other region, including Europe.

It’s been interesting to say the least on the positive impact the recent financial collapse associated with Wall Street has had on IITS. Of course, it’s never a good thing to see so many businesses and people being affected by the biggest bailout the U.S. government has ever been involved in. However, despite such a disaster there is a bright light to every falling star and in this case, it’s the number of alternative resources industrial suppliers are turning to promote their products, such as the International Industrial Trade Show. Indeed, manufacturers, job shops and other suppliers of industrial goods and custom manufacturing services now realize more than ever the importance of cost-effective marketing.

Case in point: Last week, during the Wall Street bailout issue, we received nearly 250 times more requests about the International Industrial Trade Show than we have had in the 16 previous weeks combined! One of the major reasons we believe for such an increased interest of IITS in such a short period time is the financial bailout that was being discussed by virtually every news channel, investor and business executive in the country. Businesses all over the North America and the world began to distrust the Wall Street elite more so than ever and in result, companies started to search out more cost-effective means to market their goods and services. Our research has shown other Web sites designed to promote businesses within a target market have also seen an increase in traffic generation. Once again, the Wall Street bailout, which has since been called a ‘Rescue Plan’ is not the only reason for such growth, but it certainly did have an impact on many B2B marketplaces such as IITS. See the official page of the International Industrial Trade Show to see a list of the latest exhibitors.

New Trade Leads From Industrial Buyers (RFQs)

If you are an exhibitor of the International Industrial Trade Show or sponsor, you are more than likely already aware of the trade leads (RFQs from Qualified Buyers) presented on the site. As an exhibitor, you should have received a personal invitation by email from our CEO (Donald LaBelle) or from his Assistant, Maria Santos about how you can access RFQ’s from companies sourcing for all kinds of industrial supplies, equipment, machinery, raw materials and custom manufacturing services. If you do not recall receiving such an invitation and you are an IITS exhibitor, please send an email to ‘maria at arrivenews.com along with your company name, URL address and contact details so she can confirm that you are indeed a registered exhibitor of the International Industrial Trade Show. Once confirmed, Maria will send you a special invitation on how you can explore hundreds of quality demands from companies in need of the products and services you sell.

Buy Smart. Save More.

As an on-line partner of IndustrialSAVER, the money-saving industrial portal, ArriveNEWS and IITS can save you a lot of money on all kinds of industrial goods and services. Whether you prefer to post an RFQ on our on-line manufacturing marketplace, or work with us directly to help you locate suppliers than can meet your needs, we can help you buy smart and save more. In fact, the primary purpose of the International Industrial Trade Show has always been to help develop trading partnerships between buyers and sellers of goods and services in the industrial marketplace. Thus, as a buyer you’ll save your company a bundle by submitting an RFQ through us on the World’s Leading On-line Manufacturing Marketplace to hundreds of suppliers that will compete for your business. You simple compare the offers and decide which suppliers have the best proposals, whether you are looking for the lowest price, fastest service, most experienced or best all-around proposal. The service integrated perfectly with the International Industrial Trade Show because its highly targeted toward the manufacturing community in local, national and overseas markets.

Trade Show of the Week

After several days of discussion our editors have agreed to select an industrial fabrics expo as trade show of the week. Thus, I’m pleased to announce IFAI Expo 08 Trade Show as our selection for Tradeshow of the Week. The event is to be held on October 21-23 in Charlotte, North Carolina at the Charlotte Convention Center. We first featured the show on ArriveNEWS last year in June and I’m pleased to present the event once gain for this year’s version. IFAI Expo is considered America’s largest specialty fabrics trade show covering products and emerging technologies in the rapidly changing industry. The event is expected to generated over 7,500 visitors from 60+ countries that come to explore a wide range of industrial fabrics and allied equipment from over 450 exhibitors. The trade show will also have a number of innovative specialty events, workshops and expert speakers providing insight to expand your business and connect with more buyers and suppliers in the textile industry. Indeed, the IFAI Expo/Industrial Fabrics Association International Expo is one event you won’t want to miss if your company has any involvement in the industry. See the trade show’s official website above for more information such as conference program, media relations, registration, trade show features, networking events, travel and accommodations.

I’m pleased to report there are about 68 exhibitors about to be added to the International Industrial Trade Show (IITS). Keep in mind, the exhibitors have been approved but won’t be featured on the IITS official page for a few more days. ArriveNEWS editors are currently working on creating an ‘Exhibition Page’ for each of the 68 newly added IITS exhibitors. I’m told to expect the exhibitors to be added by the end of the week, most likely this upcoming Friday.

Of the 68 new exhibitors, most of from Asia as usual, followed by US and Canada exhibitors. Unfortunately, less than 10 of the 68 exhibiting companies are from Europe, primarily the UK. Turkey and Germany appear to be the fastest growing markets in Europe interested in the International Industrial Trade Show. Over the last week, we received a number of inquiries from Germany and Turkey companies interested in learning more about participating in the on-line event. Why so many industrial suppliers in these two countries have shown such a high interest is unknown, but it does tell us there are some smart business people in Turkey and Germany. For some reason fewer other European countries with the exception of the United Kingdom have shown a significant interest in the trade show. I’m really can’t explain the reason since IITS is available in a number of European languages, including French, Portuguese, Italian, German and Spanish. In fact, currently the trade show is available in only three Asian languages (Chinese, Japanese and Korean) and yet, Asian companies have show significantly more interest than companies in Europe.

Interested In Becoming An Exhibitor?

If your company is a manufacturer of industrial products and you want to be an on-line exhibitor of IITS, click here to register on the Worldwide Industrial Marketplace. If approved, you’ll be automatically featured on the official page of IITS… the web’s first industrial-focused trade show specifically designed for national and international buyers and suppliers of industrial goods and services. Oh, and the entire virtual event is free-of-charge for all participants, including exhibitors and visitors. Sponsored by leading industrial portals, manufacturing marketplaces and an engineering search engine, the International Industrial Trade Show (IITS) is destined to become on of the most effective platforms on the Web for meeting buyers and suppliers of industrial supplies, equipment and machinery in over 54 countries. Click here to learn more about IITS and the benefits for participating, whether you are selling or sourcing for industrial goods and/or custom manufacturing services.

Re-Designed Trade Leads (RFQs) System

At the request of several IITS exhibitors, we now offer a number of new tools intended to provide suppliers access to Open RFQs From Industrial Importers & Buyers of equipment and custom manufacturing services. The RFQs are now much more relevant to the ‘expo page’ of each exhibitor (supplier) in which they are featured on the Industrial Leaders Group (ILG). If you have no idea what that means, you’ll need to click the link titled ‘About IITS’ and learn more about the trade show and how its promoted to an international manufacturing community. In any case, make sure to check out the latest Live RFQ’s from buyers seeking all kinds of industrial products and services, primarily from companies in need of custom manufacturing solutions such as precision machined parts, industrial textiles, metalworking, castings, plastic molded items, assembly (PCB, Electronics, Tools, etc.), powered metal, wire forming, cold forming, extrusion, tubing, prototyping, forging and allied services. Explore today’s RFQs as well as over $350 million worth of other demands from qualified buyers all over the globe.

More Details on the 68 IITS Pending Exhibitors

Of the 68 trade show exhibitors added to IITS this week, among them include manufacturers of drilling rigs and machines, seamless stainless steel pipes and fittings, printed circuit boards (PCBs) and other electronic components, conveyor belt, transmission v-belt and other industrial belting, rubber sheet and rubber matting, manufacturing (ERP) software for various industrial applications, industrial coatings, precision machined parts, polycarboxylate superplasticizer, pressure vessels and drums, stainless steel tanks and other fluid handling equipment, industrial cables (instrument, crane and elevator), carbon steel pipes, industrial pumps and pumping systems, hardware and fasteners, EMI filters, interconnect items, hermetic packaging, machine tools and a broad variety of other industrial products and services.

Trade Show of the Week

National Manufacturing Week (NMW) 2009 is our latest choice for ‘Tradeshow of the Week.’ The event is held on May 12-15, 2009 at the spacious and modern Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre at 2 Clarendon Street, South Bank, Australia. NMW provides a wonderful opportunity for industry professionals to network with their peers and develop business relationships with others in the manufacturing community. Considered one of Australia’s leading technology and industrial trade shows held next year, it was an easy decision for us to select the event as trade show of the week. High-tech expo’s have always been widely requested from ArriveNEWS readers in search of events that can help increase their bottom line.

National Manufacturing Week is unquestionably one of those events that’s a must attend if you’re serious about discovering the latest technologies in manufacturing today. Melbourne is a beautiful area, your author has visited several times and the venue Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre is the Australia’s premier Expo arena. At this time, we are not sure of the exact number of exhibitors and visitors expected to attend NMW, but we plan to do further research and interview a number of professionals expecting to attend. For more information about National Manufacturing Week, see their official website above for details on exhibiting, visiting, news and media, traveling and accommodations, FAQ and a list of exhibitors. All in all, NMW is a trade show worth looking into. Feel free to comment about the expo if you are involved in the show or participated in previous versions of the event.

For those who have been enjoying and profiting from our trade show articles, you’ll be happy to learn we updated most of them over the last week. The articles have been a big hit among readers in the manufacturing community and generate more responses from ArriveNEWS members than most even trade International Industrial Trade Show (IITS) itself. Click here to access the trade show articles and see what all the buzz it about… and I do use that word loosely. Nonetheless, the trade show articles are quite popular and considering each and every one is free to access, the price can’t be beat. You’ll find trade show tips, ideas and resources in these articles not available anywhere else. Use them to make your next trade show a major success… whether you are an expo exhibitor or convention visitors, these articles will help you get the most out of your next trade show event.

New International Trade Show Exhibitors

After nearly 3 months of constant growth, The International Industrial Trade Show (IITS 2008), the Web’s first on-line industrial exposition, has finally slowed down a little. This week added about 60 exhibitors, quite a drop off from the previous weeks in which we averaged over 100 exhibitors every week. I’m not sure of the reason for the drop off, but we do fully expect to get on track this week and add another 100 or more exhibitors to IITS. I suppose we can use the excuse of the lagging economy in North America for adding so few exhibitors last week, but frankly, the liberal media has done enough of that already for practically every industry. Nonetheless, the International Industrial Trade Show (IITS) is here to stay and a slight drop off in new exhibitors is really a minor setback that actually should be expected. After all, IITS has seen record numbers in the volume of new exhibitors every month since it was first launched by in January this year. The good news is the International Industrial Trade Show has acquired more exposure over the last six weeks from more media sources covering the manufacturing community and allied industries than in any other time in its brief history. I believe that’s a sign of engineering and manufacturing professionals realizing the potential of IITS and the benefits it brings their company on the Web. Having that said, if you are not already an exhibitor, Click Here to Register on the Worldwide Industrial Marketplace, which automatically qualifies you as an IITS exhibitor, if approved.

New Products Showcased At The Industrial Trade Show (IITS)

The IITS Official Page provides access to the latest exhibitors and the types of products they will be exhibiting at the on-line event. Which by the way, for those that don’t know, the event is held all-year-long. In other words, trade show visitors can participate at their convenience anytime during the year. If you’re not yet sure how it works, click here to get further details about IITS and learn why there is no other trade show like it anywhere, on-line or off-line.

The US-based exhibitors added last week to IITS include manufacturers and suppliers of industrial coatings, oil well pumping systems, cleaning equipment, safety supplies, CNC machines, machine tools, curing adhesives, hand cleaners, stainless steel and other metals as well as HVAC equipment, forklifts, hydraulic presses, accelerometers and seamless pipe. European-based exhibitors added to the trade show last week include companies manufacturing and/or selling ultrasonic flowmeters, hydraulic drilling rigs, plastering materials, industrial power supply equipment, computer enclosures, material handling equipment such as chains and mooring ropes and companies specializing in CAD design and metal fabrication. As usual, Asia-based companies lead all markets in the number of newly approved International Industrial Trade Show exhibitors. There are far too many to indicate here, but I will say they include, to name a few, exhibitors of woodworking machines, machined parts, power transmission equipment, industrial chemicals, vacuum pumps, rare earth magnets, plastic molded parts, rubber matting, plastic injection molds and various other industrial supplies, equipment and machinery.

Trade Show Search Engine

ArriveNEWS has also added several other expo directories and resources to its Trade Show Directory & Search Engine. Including two directories covering trade shows in Europe and one providing access to information on conferences, fairs, conventions and expositions held in Latin America. I’m not positive on this, but I believe its the first directory added to our trade show engine specializing in events specifically for South American companies, especially Brazil, Argentina and Venezuela as well as Mexico, for those interested in Central America.

Open RFQ’s Has Reached Over $360,000,000

As some of you know that have been keeping up with IITS, the trade show also includes access to Live RFQs from qualified industrial buyers, provided in partnership with MFG, a leading on-line manufacturing marketplace. The site has reached a milestone of over $360,000,000 worth of trade inquiries from companies and sourcing professionals actively seeking various equipment and custom manufacturing services. If you have not yet checked out the business opportunities the marketplace offers, you are missing out on one hell of an opportunity to increase your company’s revenues and grow your customer base, quicker than you ever thought possible. As any sales or marketing professional will tell you: RFQs are like gold. There is nothing more valuable to a salesperson than an open RFQ (Request-for-Quote) from a qualified buyers actively seeking the products and/or services you sell. Why chase prospects around when you can contact them directly at a time when they’re ready to buy such as NOW! In the world of sales, it doesn’t get any better than that. Click here to explore the latest RFQs for all kinds of custom manufacturing services from textiles, tubing, metalworking and stamping to machining, mold making and grinding. You’ll find trade leads for all kinds of custom manufacturing services as well as various industrial equipment.

Industrial Trade Show of the Week

Entering the final week of September and end of the summer season, trade shows across the country and abroad are in full swing. My team and I looked at least 40 trade shows being held this week and after endless hours of research and analysis, we decided on China International Bearing Industry Exhibition as ‘Industrial Trade Show of the Week. Held on September 23-26 the event first took place in 1990 and is considered the largest bearing industry exhibition in Asia and perhaps the world. Held for 4 days at the spacious and modernized Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Center, the trade show is an ideal event for those involved in the bearing industry and machine technologies. About 538 exhibitors are expected to be showcasing their products and services to 80,000+ industry professionals in 17 countries. Come to explore bearings and related components, bearing processing machines, inspection equipment, lubricants and allied products as you meet with your peers and develop trading partnerships. Indeed, the China International Bearing Industry Exhibition is a leading expo in its industry and deserves our selection as trade show of the week.

Note: This post was moved from another category and was originally posted on September 15.

Last week exactly 100 exhibitors were added to the International Industrial Trade Show, the Web’s first on-line expo for the manufacturing community. The newly added exhibitors were mostly from India and China and some Middle East countries. Unfortunately, is appears of the new exhibitors, only about 16 of them were from North America and 11 from Europe. The remaining 73 exhibitors all of from Asia.

It appears our request last week to get more American companies involved in the trade show did not attract as many U.S. and Canadian exhibitors as we would of liked. Until this past week, North America was the quickest growing market for the International Industrial Trade Show as more companies in the region registered at a faster rate than any other, even Asia. This week however, Asia regained its position as the leading region for ITTS exhibitors. It’s not a disappointment by any means because IITS welcomes industrial suppliers and importers all over the world to participate. Nonetheless, we still would like to see more US-based companies get involved as the more countries represented, the better for all visitors and exhibitors of the exposition. Click here to become an exhibitor of IITS.

Newly Added Trade Show Exhibitors

Last week the new exhibitors added to the trade show include manufacturers of guar gum powder and additives, roller bearings (spherical & taper), permanent magnets, plastic extrusion machinery, semiconductors, electronic components and a wide range of other industrial products as well as custom manufacturers specializing in compression molding, deep drawing, press parts, tooling, machined parts, turning on CNC lathe, precision milling and precision turning. Last week was possibly the widest range of suppliers that registered as exhibitors. This is great news because it shows IITS is getting to be a well known on-line trade show in the manufacturing community. In fact, over the last month, IITS has received news coverage in dozens of industrial publications and Web sites for manufacturing and engineering professionals.

Sure, there are still traditionalists that refuse to believe the value of virtual-based trade events. But no matter what you think about on-line expo’s, they are here to stay and the world has yet to see their true potential. I predict, on-line trade events will become one of the most important marketing methods for manufacturers seeking to enter or expand into foreign markets. The technology is not there yet but I’m aware of some incredible innovations software companies are working on related to virtual trade shows. It’s too early to give the details now because several of the companies have patents pending. However, I will say this, its going help the on-line trade shows tremendously and turn the traditional trade show industry upside down.

Some Trade Shows of The Week

With the upcoming tradeshow season approaching (October and November), I figure we should feature more than one event this week. We actually reviewed over 40 upcoming expositions, industrial fairs and conferences last week and decided to feature the following two events as our selection for trade shows of the week. Naturally, these featured events are not the only ones taking place this month nor are they the only events we recommend. But they are some of the most useful trade shows being held this month for industrial, engineering and industrial professionals. Your comments about these trade shows and all other trade shows featured on ArriveNEWS are welcome.

MSV 2008

MSV 2008 is the 50th International Engineering Fair. The trade show is held on September 15-19 at Brno, Czech Republic at the Brno Exhibition Centre. The event is one of the leading engineering fairs in the world with a long history. Over 100,000 visitors are expected and 2,000+ exhibitors. Engineers come to explore the latest technologies and products in manufacturing today as they network with their peers. See the MSV 2008 website above for more information on the event such as a profile of the fair, event contacts, information for visitors, exhibitors and journalists and data on last years MSV Trade Show.

Industrial Automation Show & Conference

The Industrial Automation Show & Conference (IASC) will take place September 22-25 in Rosemont, Illinois at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, a spacious 840,000 square-foot facility and next to the 92,000 square foot Rosemont Conference Center. IASC is one of the leading industrial automation events in the country and according to our sources is expected to attract over 40,000 visitors that will come to view products from 2,000 exhibitors. Products to be showcased include automation machines and tools, measurement, test and inspection systems, instrumentation and automation controls, electronic components, automation software and allied products. The trade show is ideal for manufacturing/industrial engineers, production managers, system integrators, designers, process engineers as well as plant managers and corporate executives. Industrial Automation Show and Conference is a world-class trade show worth attending.

As of today we have a little over 100 pending exhibitors added this week the International Industrial Trade Show (IITS 2008). Unquestionably, the virtual expo is increasing its popularity dramatically amongst the manufacturing community. Once again, Asia continues to be the leading region for the number of new exhibitors added to the trade show. North America remains the second most popular region, followed by Europe, which I’m happy to report has finally taken notice in the trade show. Unfortunately, the exposition still has very few exhibitors from Africa and Latin America. But that’s not overly surprising since we at ArriveNEWS have yet to focus promotions on those markets. However, we have noticed the Middle East, especially UAE, specifically Dubai, has signed up a number of exhibitors over the last month or so. Further proof, the United Arab Emirates still remains once of the fastest growing industrial marketplaces in the world, primarily in the construction sector.

Tradeshow Search Engine & Directory

Editors of ArriveNEWS reported to me last Thursday they added an additional three trade show directory resources and portals to the Trade Show Directory. Now, more than ever, companies will be able to locate relevant trade shows in over 54 countries covering dozens of industries from industrial and manufacturing to construction scientific, high-tech, engineering and other industries. If you’re serious about utilizing the latest and most useful fairs, conferences, expositions, conventions and other trade events to increase your customer base and grow your bottom line, make sure to bookmark the only Tradeshow Search Directory that enables you to search all the leading trade show directories at once. Save time and money while you outflank your competitors whom are unaware of this wonderful resource.

Pending IITS Exhibitors

Of the 100 or so pending IITS exhibitors in our database this week, several are manufacturers and exporters of rubber goods such as rubber conveyor belts, tubing and precision rubber parts. These companies probably found us through one of our industrial directories focusing on rubber products and materials. Other pending International Industrial Trade Show exhibitors include manufacturers of micro precision and test equipment, electronic test systems and devices, nylon ladders, webbing sling, industrial magnets (e.g. rare earth, permanent, NdFeB, etc), beverage processing equipment, chains, ropes and other material handling equipment as well as a wide range of other industrial supplies, machine tools and equipment. A complete list will be provided on the official page of IITS in 5 to 7 business days once the companies are approved as an exhibitor.

Our Search For An IT Professional

We are currently searching for an IT professional to help include additional networking tools to the International Industrial Trade Show. We have interviewed a number of prospects and have yet to decide on the right person for the job. We prefer a freelancer and expect to hire someone within the next month or so. We welcome your reference if you know someone that specializes in designing virtual trade show sites or is experienced in similar projects. Our manager at ArriveNEWS (Conrad Bailey) told me he’s looking to include various social networking tools to the exhibition page of featured exhibitors to enable visitors to contact suppliers in real time while allowing companies to showcase their products more effectively. Having that said, I do know the IT department is working on launching featured videos so exhibitors can demonstrate the technology and applications of their products and/or services. I’ve been asked not to give away the complete details yet of how the videos will be utilized as an interactive tool for IITS exhibitors and visitors. But I will say there is NOTHING like it on the Web. Frankly, I can’t wait until the videos are integrated into the trade show as it will shut up virtual trade show skeptics once and for all.

Trade Show Of The Week

Now that the summer is near and the ‘trade show season’ has begun, we had a difficult time selecting which event to feature as this week’s trade show on ArriveNEWS. We found dozens of useful trade shows for the engineering and manufacturing communities in dozens of cities across the country as well as in Europe and Asia. Nevertheless, we select International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS 2008) as today’s tradehow of the week. As one of the world’s largest trade shows, it automatically deserves a place on ArriveNEWS and a major reason we have recommended the event for years for companies involved in the industrial marketplace. IMTS is held this week (September 8-13) at the spacious and convenient McCormick Place Convention Complex in Chicago, Illinois. The 6-day event covers all phases of manufacturing and according to our sources is expected to attract over 85,000 visitors that come to explore the products and services from thousands of exhibitors. Naturally, it’s too late to become an exhibitor, but anyone in the area wishing to visit the show should stop by and see why IMTS is a world leading manufacturing technology trade show. Not in the area? It’s worth the flight.

Note: If you do happen to attend IMTS or perhaps have exhibited your products at the event, feel free to share your experiences with ArriveNEWS readers. We are always looking for feedback on various industrial-focused trade shows, fairs, conventions and expositions for the manufacturing community. Happy networking!
