Changing my password may have worked, I have not gotten a mystery email in a half hour. That could be because the spammers got tired but hopefully not.

Oh my heck, this has been going on for 3 1/2 years!!!

I changed my email password and that did not work. Hopefully this problem resolves itself soon. I am making up a trash email account for web sign ups.

We had similar problem, messages got stucked in Outbox folder and were never sent (so they were really stucked - customer never received them). After a lot of research and trying everything possible I found following workaround (this is for German Outlook 2010, but will work with any language mutation):

* Go to Potausgang (Outbox) folder and double-click stucked message, new window with message will open in read-only mode

* In Verschieben section, click Aktionen / Diese Nachricht erneut senden (Send this message again), another new window with message will open, this time with ability to edit message

* Click Senden, window will close

* Close Window with message in read-only mode

* Now you see Postausgang folder with message being sent (message is in italic font), after a while, message will disappear, which means it was successfully sent. It can be found in Gesendete Elemente (Sent Items) folder.

* After few seconds, another message appears in Postausgang folder, this time in normal font (not italic). Now there are two identical messages. Delete both.

Good luck,
Martin

not only do i get delivery has failed notices from supposed email that i sent(which i haven't), but when i do send an email to someone, sometimes it sends out random messages to that person that doesn't have anything to do with the original email.

So, just kind of wondering if it will work well, or at all on my old computer. It's not for me, it's for a different family that can't give up one program to move to a secure OS.

Here are the specs:
AMD Athlon 2800+ at 2.08Ghz.
1GB of DDR SDRAM at 444mhz
IDE 80GB Hard disk Drive at 7200rpm.
ATI Radeon (not hd) 7500

I'm looking for an estimate on how well it will work (1-10). 1 being will not work, 3 being barely, 6 being maybe as good as XP and 10 being no problem.

google.com@Patrick: It's quite easy because the email protocol wasn't designed to validate identities -- it was purely based on trust.

For the technical details, just search for email spoofing. Here's the Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E-mail_spoofing

Lately I received a lot of failure notice of email that has been sent from but I did not send them, so ofcourse I was worried that I my email got hijacked. I googled the problem and this came up, which explains everything. But my question is how they can use my email address to send emails?

I am not a computer savy but on my email I cannot find where to put my email address, what I mean is "from".

It worked for me by setting my router WIFI channel to 1 and the PC10T S-AIR device to ID = C (11)

It is very IMPORTANT to change the RF CHANGE option to Off since having that option set to On or Auto will make the device search for the better channel ignoring the default configuration

a = 1
b = 6
c =11.

RF change option can be switched by using the S-AIR Cast app.

thanks for this, the article & comments were very helpful, I leave a ping running in the background while connecting & disconnecting the s-air and it is obvious (run the ping with a large packet window ping -l 3000 and it will show connection problems). The channel A with channel 11 seems to be working.

We have been experiencing significant ongoing problems since changing over to wireless router systems for internet and homephone only to discover that our new neighbours next door have just about completed a huge pole and wire structure which exceeds 30,000m2 and is largely made up of wires which over the last 2 weeks has been tightened which we have been told has more than likely captured wireless signals and trapped them as such...we desparately need vodafone technician to complete on site inspection to determine what their findings are as this has had a huge impact on our quality of living due to us being a home based business....we do not operate any other wireless devices in our home and subsequently vodafone internet services have had to be changed back to a direct line link rather than wireless...what a headache!.....any professional and/or personal experiences of same nature would be of assistance in this matter as we understand that this problem is relative to resource consent issues for our new neighbour and matter is currently in the environment court, which we have been told may set a precedent for future legislation when 3 residences in rural zoning have been affected by a wire structure interferring with quality of living etc...will keep you posted as to progress on this one!

That was easy. I bought five base units to cover my house months ago. constant drops made the whole system rather worthless since I wanted to use it mostly during parties when I do not want to sully my geek credentials. Router on channel 11 S-Air units paired on A and I'm in business.

Thanks.
