Utterly Shameful!

For once I feel ashamed to be an Arsenal fan, its not the defeat in Game One, not the lost 3 points, its the fans that fail me. I am sad to be categorised among those who can't back their own team, their invincible manager, their future legends.

Its not Arsenal, or their policies, or yesterday's game, its the boos, Jeers thrown at my team ( MY TEAM, nobody boo's his own team)

I sure don't reach many of you, but the most (not all) of you I address today, yes! You have failed me, hurt me more than all of my ex's put together, more than all the failed subjects in my graduation, more than watching Zidane walk past the World Cup dejected. For a moment I felt that I made a wrong choice supporting Arsenal. I am sad for yesterday's loss, I don't blame the ref. I think he was an overall fuck up.

It is bad to lose an opening game in front of home crowd, at the Emirates, in a season where we were expecting to just mount the pressure on other serious contenders. But, look at it as just a small loss, Aston Villa are no easy opponents, we have an entire season ahead of us. This could well be the best 3 points lost ever, come on a right time. Any further, it would make a lot more difference.

Wenger knows he has to spend, he knows he has a thin-squad which gets thinner every time he plays against clubs playing a brand a football which resembles more to rugby. And when you know it, when I know it, so does the only manager ever to manage an invincible squad ever knows it. Wenger is a lot smarter than you and me put together. Lot smarter than the managers of Chelsea, City, United and Liverpool put together. Simple question, will you buy an Arsenal Jersey from me if I am selling it at twice its actual price?

How many times have we lost players due to clubs like Chelsea, United, Liverpool and City outbidding us? ( Count starting from Wright- Phillips to Eden Hazard)

Do you think it is worth falling into a financial mess trying to compete with these clubs with respect to spending money on players- who may or may not be successful, who may or may not be fit for an entire season, who may or may not be able to match the premier league style of football.

Does that mean we shouldn't buy?

No, that's not what Wenger is up to. He has a very subtle style of working, not the credit mongering type, not explaining and exclaiming every action he does, his business is done in a very delicate manner, remember signing Santi? His style has done a lot good to the club and has ruined his image, but being the man he is- he doesn't care for his image and he sure loves Arsenal more than you do, lot more than I do.

There will be signings- could be three or four or five and each one you will be boasting upon, and then on a day like yesterday you will again be booing them, the same players you had your display pictures few days back. Learn to back your team, yesterday you were not just throwing those jeers at Wenger or the management. Our lil Jacky, the ever fighting Rosicky, the brilliant Santi were all at the end of it, you did a lot good to their morale. They would sure love to stay another season to entertain your boo's.

Watch liverpool learn from them. Look at how they responded to a player who was so vocal in leaving them. They are the real fans. We are just a bunch of shameful idiots.

Be man enough, or a women if you are one, face your bad days, stand behind your team. Boos are not the answer.

What attracts me to Arsenal, and what hold my faith in them stronger every time even after series of disappointments is the class they go about it, the class with which they got a manager dubbed "Arsene Who" to the only manager with undoubtedly the most unique achievement in the modern day football.

You can win it a hundred times, but, to with it once with total conviction is something amazing.

Speaking of class, it oozes in every aspect that links Arsenal. Be it the way they deal with fans, finances, players, charities and events. Such class only attracts class, yes, the fans. One thing that keeps me going- the Gooners.

One such event- "the running man" showed us what Arsenal Fans are made of. During the Arsenal's trip to Hanoi, Vietnam during the pre-season, a fan ran along the player's bus for around FIVE KILOMETRES, bumping into trees and lamp posts, yet not stopping till achieving a rare rendezvous with the team.

I have been off for a long time, long long time. Its been more than a year. A poor start to last season, personal and professional life crisis and various other reasons. It feels great to be back and the smell of positivity from all around motivates me further.

This is the first time, in a long long time that transfer window is filled with positivity, I am not talking about us being linked with the Higuains, the Rooneys, the Fabregases or the Barrys. I am talking about the fact that for the first time in last 4-5 years that we, the Gooners, are not scared of loosing out on a key member from the starting 11. And, the fact that we have started adding member to strengthen squad makes the aura of positivity smell better.

And for all those who think of us adding to the squad the big names, please analyse, Arsene Wenger has managed to get stability to our overall fee structure compromising on a lot of things, call it trophies to begin with. He's taken undeserved criticism, and from people who don't deserve, and the cristicism his caliber doesn't deserve. He got stability to fee structure compromising and losing his dearest sons, read Henry and Fabregas, and a few who don't deserve a mention.

Forget about the really big names coming in, remember, "we don't buy stars, we create them".

And, lets put our hands together for the new signing Yaya Sanogo. The next Henry, lets see, I give a realistic 3 years target.

Maintaining the Perfect Balance

Arsenal is financially stable is a well known fact to the footballing world, it probably is one of the very few sporting organizations to make profits and upgrade itself in all aspects to next level, and yet be stable competitively. And it is no co-incidence that during this period of financial turbulence Arsenal has seen a major trophy drought, which, is getting itchy to the fans and giving clubs without class reasons to point fingers out at a club which oozes class in all aspects.

The slump and the drought which has become a part of Arsenal, and hate to see us getting stereotyped with trophy-less seasons. But, this drought has followed us since the move to Emirates stadium, which people call Emirates-Jinx, lets analyze it sensibly.

Since the move to the new stadium, Arsenal had to cut down on a lot of expenses, which included hefty wage players in the likes of Pires, Vierra, Henry, etc.

A great manager moves on with the available resources to make a team good enough to fight the battle with new stars and new heroes, and this team falling for the greed of few in the likes of Adebayor, Hleb, Gallas, Nasri, etc.

Facing challenges and betrayals (hate to say it, but, read: Cesc Fabregas) and after a disastrous start to the season, we are, competing for the second place (too optimistic), while clubs which have spent 100 times more than us (no exaggeration) have become a joke. (Read: ManC, Liverpool and Chelsea)

Looks like the time when Arsene Wenger's trust on his policies are returning favours, since later Feb, we have:

1. Covered 13 points from our North London's little successful club which forever remains in our shadows.
2. Dramatic comeback over Milan at home. A little more luck and we could have been on the path to Bacra revenge.
3. Won Eight, and Lost only one game on the bounce.
4. Late comebacks in most games in the period, which never looked possible in last couple of seasons at Arsenal.
5. Less reliant on the Captain's goals.

The future looks bright, but with only if Wenger manages to hold on to each of these following players:

The Journey of Kos - the Boss

If the Journey from being a player to be made fun of by own fans along with the fellow signing, Sebastian Squilacci, to Arsenal's most loved defender since the Invincible's, is not dramatic enough. Lets have it in his own words.

"I don't believe any French player would have refused to come and play for Arsenal. It took me four years to go from the bench of Ligue 2 to Arsenal so it is a great achievement."

Always being #ArseneKnows guy, I hate myself to, at a point, have criticised Laurent Koscielny and not have noticed his steady rise and getting carried away by one or two mistakes, which did cost us a lot, but, definately has given us a defender to be proud of.

From being branded as Kosher to Kos- the Boss. The quick thinking, agressive, and lightning fast defender without a doubt is within 3 places for Arsenal's player of the season and best defenders this season.

From the above table its evident that Koscielny is one of the top defenders this season with the likes of Terry, Kompany and Agger.

But, what pleases me the most is the way he has matured to take up the defensive burden in the absence of Vermaelan, and hasn't committed the mistakes like the Carling Cup final. Its also noticeable that Koscielny gets booked a lot compared to other top-defenders and with time when he improves that we are up to what could get us back the glorious days.

Hope to see opponent strikers getting Kos-trated every match day.

The Arsenal Renaissance

When was the last time Arsenal won six premier league games in a row?

I seriously, don’t remember the last time that happening. But for a club of Arsenal’s caliber it could not have been long since that happened.

But, was it as exciting as this?

I don’t think there was ever EVER a better run of performance, and the games here are not bottom table or promoted sides, this astonishing run of form by the gunners started with a comeback victory over sp*rs, followed by AC Milan, Liverpool, Newcastle and Everton.

The biggest credit of this goes undoubtedly to the manager, and it’s safe to say that, Arsene Wenger’s long term project on this team is starting to show its results. This is the first season since THE INVINCIBLEs left (majority of ‘em) that we are not desperate of signing to complete our team. Or to put it in other words, this is the first time, fans will not be getting behind Wenger for signing.

We were short in at least one department every season presiding this, DEFENCE, GOAL KEEPER, STRIKER, all in the reverse order for last three seasons. And somehow miraculously its all solved, with out Wenger needing to buy a David Luiz, Fernando Torrez, Andy Carrol, Stewart Downing, etc,. Did he “SPEND SOME FUCKIN’ MONEY?” I don’t think so- Arteta, Santos and Mertesacker were got for peanuts considering their performances compared to all the stupid signings being made by Citeh, Coach Fire Club, and LOLpool.

Buy Podolski or not, mid-field anchormen more or no. I’m not writing my opinions on it, as I have full faith- WENGER KNOWS BEST. But, I hope he holds on to our Captain Vantastic. Wenger is the only person who can lead us to success in all aspects.

Also, the Arsenal’s renaissance should be credited to one of the oldest race-horse with us. Glad to find hundreds who considered him dead-wood are his admirers now. And, I am glad that my favorite player in an Arsenal jersey is proving what he’s worth.

Rosicky back at his most favorable position is one of the reasons for this amazing run of form. He’s very hardworking, good at possession, crazy without it (that’s what brings those amazing sliding tackles out of him, very creative, always looks to attack.

Letter to the Captain

Dear Captain.

I could have addressed this letter as Dear RVP or Dear Robin or your full name, but, I chose just CAPTAIN. There is a reason behind it.

Captain, I've been an Arsenal fan since our defeat to Barcelona in UEFA Champions League Final of 2006. So, my first arsenal game and I missed out on the biggest trophy our team could get.

But nevertheless, the spirit a ten men side showed made me a crazy arsenal fan.

Now to the reason I refer to you as captain was because in the 6 years I've supported Arsenal- I've seen 5 different captains at the club. And before taking up football I followed cricket- closely followed 7 Indian Cricket Captains.

But, none really deserved to be addressed as CAPTAIN, just Captain as you do.

Encouraging Theo to get the best out of him throughout the season and particularly the Spurs game.
Handing over MoTM to Sczcency.
Kissing Songs boot for the winning assist.
Numerous small gestures which evidently has made arsenal the most spirited side football has witnessed in past few years.
All these apart from single handedly winning almost every other game for us.

Captain Vantastic

Yes, there were amazing captains who were great leaders, but the pressure of being a captain ruined their natural game; while, there have been great sportsmen who were average to poor captains.

The best thing about this Arsenal captain, you my captain, is that you have been an inspiring captain, true leader, amazing motivator and much brilliant performer. The burden of Captaincy has not affected your game slightest. In fact, it has helped others to attain their potential- every manager’s dream.

Like millions of Arsenal supporters worldwide I wish you sign that piece of paper- they call contract, as soon as possible. I'm not sure of others, but, I'll not hate you even if you don't.

Dear Captain, I just wish you do it, we might get a CF a little poor or as good, but, never in my lifetime I'll see a better captain and a top player like you at Arsenal.

Rosicky finally!

Finally, finally! He's all over the places, papers, videos, blogs, facebook, twitter, you name it.

I am glad Rosicky is finally getting the attention he deserved.

"Deadwood". "The player once he was". "Clueless". "Headless Chicken".

I hated to read even posts which had mentioned good stuff about Rosicky as it would end up with comments like above.

To the Mozart's tune!

Its good to see Rosicky getting the game time he deserves and this time he's taken it well. While, for the "Cup half empty" people there still don't see positives out of Rosicky's best performance in Arsenal shirt. Here are few of the most common complaints about the Little Mozart:

1. Not the player he was:

Every second time you find Rosicky's named mentioned, you will find a comment "he's not the player he was', but to think of it, he's never given a chance to be the player he was. Firstly, Wenger never utilized Rosicky in his preferred position behind the striker, and after his injury he was never given a chance to settle in the team, after Fabregas's return last year and the infamous penalty against Sunderland, Rosicky was reduced to, god-forbid, what Nasri is to ManCity. Wenger was over-using Nasri and Wilshere while Rosicky was kept on bench even in League Cup, this season Ramsey was again over-used, and I think Ramsey's injury is the best thing that has happened to Arsenal and Rosicky.

I know Ramsey is Arsenal's future, but Rosicky at his best can be the on-field mentor and leader the entire team badly needs right now.

2. Injury prone:

A tough thing to defend right now, just moments after his best game at Arsenal's he's doubtful for the next, all I can say is, what did most critics say about Robin van Persie last year?

3. Poor at Possession:

Arsenal's game is all about keeping the ball, finding the right moment, and Rosicky keeps giving away possession, what forms the basis for Arsenal's game. Well, here I have to say Rosicky is the only attack minded attacking mid-fielder in our side. He's the only player in the current side who can turn defense into attack, (for which Arsenal were once famous for) watch Walcott's first goal against sp*rs. So, he needs to take that odd risk of losing the ball to create chances, and Rosicky is probably one of the very few footballers in the world who can think few moves in advance, "yes! Arsenal's own Zidane".

4. No Assists:

It surprises me as well, but then I watched a lot of Rosicky videos, (thanks to my friend CarpenterAAA11, on twitter), Rosicky does well to create attack and often ends up creating an assist rather than a goal, guess that's why Fab loves Rosicky so much.

5. He's too old:

Tough to fit in Wenger's frame. At 31, Rosicky is lucky to be in Wenger's squad, but I think he's the experience we badly need right now, and please look at the two goal scorers for United last week, Rozzza is still not that old.

Arrrrrranged!

Arranged marriages in India are often portrayed by the west as an evil an unjust system. But to think of it, occasionally it can really be awesome.

The efforts put in by the families. Finding the right person, matching the family profiles, social status, religious background. Very often parents become this undercover agents, with usually weird logic.

And then when all is right, comes the great Indian hospitality. The marriage truly is a marriage of two families. Sudden doubling of your social circle.

I'm very sure I got most of the positives out.

And the best thing is till THE DAY, the dude gets to see only a pic of the bride and in most cases a shy half glimpse.

This got me thinking today, I'm very sure I'll be caught up in the system as well, sooner or later.
I wouldn't mind it either.

Who knows when I see the LADY IN RED, take the "ghoonghat" off to find her in an Arsenal Jersey! *dream interrupted*

How the tables will turn around for Gunners! (January Edition)

If you've read my previous post, all I can tell you is TOLD YOU SO!

Minus, the unlucky loss to Man City and draw at home to Wolves we have made the most of the last two months. And hell ya! It indeed as a Happy New year. Being the only team in top-5 to pick up all three points and see ManU, ChelShit and ManShitty lose.

January is not quite like the last two months, with Gunners playing four times in premier league, starting with the trip to Fulham, Swansea, the revenge against ManUtd followed by a trip to struggling Bolton. No doubt the Gunners have relatively easier fixtures. But there is nothing much to be excited about from the other fixture list as well.

The only big clashes are as follows:

Manchester City ---vs--- Liverpool (3rd Jan, 2012)
Newcastle United ---vs--- Manchester United (4th Jan, 2012)
Manchester City ---vs--- Tottenham Spurs (22nd Jan, 2012)
Arsenal ---vs--- Manchester United (22nd Jan, 2012)

Coming to what to expect from January,

Tough Competition from Chelsea: Last 3 months for Chelsea has been the worst 3 months since I am following football, so expect the Russian Mafia to splash more money and bring in reinforcements. So dropping of points in any form in next 4 fixtures will prove costly for the Gunners.
Lady luck frowning: Expect spurs to run out of the lucky goals and lucky decisions going their way, I am expecting the gap to reduce or get above them in a run where spurs play only at home.
Manchester's drop: Both the Manchester teams are level and many Arsenal critics will be hating that we have narrowed the gap down to less than 10 points. Expect that to be around 5-6 by the end of the month.
Liverpool resurgence: With SteveG back expect Liverpool to do better than they are, I will not be surprised if they take that 5th place from Chelsea by 31st Jan.
Boring Boring: Expect this month to be relatively boring action wise, fixture-wise. With the RETURN OF THE KING, only thing to look forward to.

Arteta a flop? You should be a pessimist of the highest order.

Mikel Arteta since his deadline day signing for Arsenal has cemented his position in Gunner's side, which has seen one of the most dramatic comebacks of recent Football history. Arteta in an Arsenal's 4-2-3-1 is playing in a position left by the injury to Arsenal's yougest legend Jack Wilshere.

Identity crisis?

Arteta often referred as "Poor Man's Fabregas", was considered a panic buying by the usual anti-Arsenal media, who has, so far, silenced his critics and has been a major factor in Arsenal's resurgence.

I personally consider him as Wenger's yet an other master signing, The problem is him drawing comparison to Cesc Fabregas for the role he played for David Moyes Everton. Its unfair that, one of the very few solid players who have led you to a resounding comeback after a horrific start to the campaign being criticized as a player who, "Slows down the game", "chooses safe side passing" and "not creative enough behind RVP".

Arteta along with Song have been deployed as pivote, or deep lying midfielder with defensive responsibilities, which explains Arsenal drastic improvement in defense over the last few years, he reminds me of Xavi at world cup last year, boring I described Xavi, but Arteta is doing a fantastic job, keeping possession, letting the players around him settle and get into rhythm. He gives Ramsey and Song freedom to create something out of the game, and Arteta facing the creative burden is unjustified as I think its more of Ramsey's duty to do so.

It will be interesting to see the line-up after Jack's return from injury.

And for today's game, Gunner's take on Aston Villa at Villa Park, hoping to get back to winning ways, after an unlucky, referee blaming loss to Arabs.

Aston Villa have won 2 and lost 3 of their last 6 fixtures, while the Gunners have only lost once and drawn once in the last 6 games.

Arsenal are without Song (Suspended) and Djourou (Injury) from their last game.

Robin is 3 goals short of history.

Letter to Samir Nasri

Dear Samir Nasri, (Just formally, no intended respect)

[I'm an Indian and we Indians usually learn English as a secondary language, we are taught to write letters formally, so I don't really mean it if I actually use sweet language]

Hope this letter reaches you in best of health and hope that you are facing no injury scare to face us. Which I really wish is inflicted by either Arteta or Ramsey. Hope that cozy bench is treating you well. I wish a reply on this: Is it really very costly? Does it have some advanced technologies like anti-perspiring or sweat absorbing? Which anyway will make no sense as you would hardly sweat, may be the only time you sweat is when warming up. As an ex-fan, I have empathy towards what we Indians call “tashrif“. With all those bench-warming you should be careful about blisters down there.

Nasri, just remember exactly a year ago, you were the fan favorite. You were scoring goals, creating them and moreover starting almost every single game. You were being considered to be given a status which you will never acquire in any of your future clubs. While the debate for statues for Arsenal legends for 125th year celebration remains hot on social media. Arsenal have decided to award SPECIAL LEGEND status to a few of the most “loved“ Arsenal heroes. Namely: $amir Na$ri, Cashley Cole, etc. To honor these famous betrayal legends. This one is my first post of a non-arsenal clash, and I have rightly named it. You would take guesses mostly starting with ManU to ManShitty, and you would not take more than 3 guesses to come to the point I want to talk about. This Sunday fixture, ChelShit vs LiverPoo.
I would like to have one guy here who would not agree on the title of the post.

For all the teams we have seen in premier league in last few years, all the management and mismanagement. I would rate Chelsea as the dumbest of all, closely followed by Liverpool.

Chelsea: Torres for 50 million- STUPID
Liverpool: Torres for 50 million- SMART
Liverpool: Carrol for 30+ million- SUPER DUMB

Well what is in this game that makes me excited about it, its the beginning of those fixture, which if, Gunners take advantage of puts us back in the title race.

When these two teams meet at the Bridge, Gunners could, hopefully, have been 3 points ahead of Liverpool and on 22 points with Chelsea. So a draw here would be an ideal result to see us take that 6th position. But, I would love to see AVB (even-though I like him) getting fired after two disastrous home performances.

Vermanator is Back.

3-0! Excited? Hell ya! Past few weeks have been the best time for me as an Arsenal fan.
I know I hate myself to not start following football before 2006 world cup.

Victory! 5 home wins in a row! Ecstatic yes. And Insomniac as well. Before I could explain my small research on what to expect, I shall just make a small note of this wonderful victory. 3-0 against West Brom who last time this year almost got a 3-0 victory if not for Nasri's brace. Goals came from RVP (as usual), Vermaelen and Arteta. With Persie creating the later two. And a clean sheet. Yay!

Ok. Back to the topic. I was looking at the schedule of what to expect from the gunners in coming weeks, which lead to an overall comparison of all the teams placed above Gunners this season, so far.

How is this important for Arsenal?

Arsenal clash with only one big team (Man City away). That means that, gunners have less challenging fixtures than the other top-7 clubs, its fair to say that before the winter-window, when Wenger could add more depth to the squad Gunners will have relaxing fixtures in the league.
One of the top-7 drops points every week. We have been doing good since we lost to Sp*rs in League, but on the other hand other teams (esp: Newcastle, ManCity, Sp*rs) have also been good. So when these teams are pitted against each other you can see either of then dropping points. *Fingers cross that we don't drop points in this period*.
ManCity and Chelsea take on tougher opponents 4 times in next 8 weeks, including ManCity vs Arsenal.
Newcastle, Liverpool have 3 tough games till Jan.
The thing about league system is it doesn't spare of of any team, but for Arsenal we have it scattered through the next few weeks.
Also, Arsenal have played most of the tough away games among all the tough title rivals, Arsenal travel only to ManCity (Mid Dec) and Liverpool (Early March).
While, ManU (22nd Jan), Spurs (25th Feb), Newcastle (10th March), ManCity (7th April), Chelsea (21st April) visit Emirates to present us the Title.

Last two of the FIVE *fuckin' FIVE* goals against Chelsea have been flashing to my eyes again and again. Well that is coz I have watched them over and over again as many times as Terry has been in highlights for all stupid shit he has done all his life.

And, Captain Vantastic, oh what an amazing player! He's just keeping me counting.

RVP has 76 goals in 166 Premier League appearances.
For the year 2011, Persie has netted 33 in just 38 games for Arsenal in all competitions, just one short of Henry who had 34 goals in 2004.
Van Persie has 27 goals in Premier League for this calender year already, while Henry had scored 27 in 30 in 2004.
He has already found the back of the net 11 times this season, while he has started 11 times and came off the bench thrice in all competitions for the Gunners.
He has already bettered his Dutch role-model Dennis Bergkamp in all competitions scoring 107 goals in 244 matches, the non-flying Dutchman has 104 in 380 games at Arsenal.
DB10 has 87 league goals which the Captain Vantastic is expected to reach much before the end of this season.

Reformed or Premature?

The month of August for any Arsenal fan was not worse than the final month of Pregnancy for a lady. Sometimes we were screaming with pain and sufferings of what to expect and how much more of the horrible sufferings. While the approaching of the transfer window deadline was hanging on right at us and like the mother's eagerness to look at the baby, we had eagerness to see the new (expected) babies.

Deadline day passed, we were more shocked than that lady who delivered 6 kids at once. And like a mother loving its child who caused her the worst sufferings we will love Arsenal no matter what. Like a mother loves the child even if he's as ugly as Rooney, we'll love Arsenal even with a lesser beautiful version of their game play, which will still remain more beautiful than the rest in the league.

Analysis:
Before August,

Arsenal have Won Two, Lost Three and Drawn One game.
Scoring Six and conceding Thirteen.

Since August,

Arsenal have Won Nine, Lost Two, and Drawn Two Games.
Scoring Twenty Seven while Conceding Fifteen. [In all competitions]
On Premier League front, Arsenal have won 4 of the last 6 games and lost the rest.
Arsenal has also seen a great comeback improving 10 positions in 3 games.
While the Gunner in Red Hot form Captain Van Persie has scored 28 goals in last 27 Premier League appearances.

I just love the fact that we finally after 5 years have a striker who just keeps us counting, and yes I repeat he's still is not an out and out striker, he loves to get back and create a few for himself and others, just imagine if we had a TH14 with him or a DB10 behind him now.

Expectations this season:
Positive with the developments and results so far, I expect Wenger to add more creativity in the midfield. With Jacky coming back in Feb plus a signing or two optimistic about top-4 finish. With Vermaelen back in the back, a less leaky defense and a trophy this season. Well be it Carling Cup, a trophy needs to break the Emirates Jinx. Surely a lot more from the man of the moment, top goal scorer this season for RVP is as good as League title.

And, yes guys remember the fourth Goal TERRYble. A small question to end it for today.

What separates Arsenal Fans from the rest is that we are Arsenal Fans, we are not just Glory Hunters. We back our team no matter what, a trophy-less year, six or a decade.
We scream our hearts out to show support to our players when they were bombarded with, I HATE TO say it, Eight Fuckin' Goals.
Find a Chelsea fan who will back Chelsea for an entire week after a 3-1 loss to us.
I know plenty of ManU supporters who said now we support Real Madrid, for that Gay guy.
In that matter I respect Liverpool they back their team. And yes we do too.

This month has probably been the worst for any Arsenal fan, yes I agree, 4 points from 5 games that's not Arsenal, conceding 16 goals well that is also not Arsenal as well.

Luckily, I haven't been watching Football much of late. Avoided ManU game, and also Blackburn. But that doesn't keep me from writing. This is the time as a true Gooner I need to back my team.

Its hard defend two major losses while being criticized to the extent we are being criticized.
There is nothing I can say which defends conceding 4 goals against Blackburn and 2 of which coming from two of our regular starters. So to make it simple I wont defend it.

I shall just move on to what I am expecting the rest of the season.

Two new defenders that makes it roughly a permutation of 24 defensive partnerships considering the defenders pair up with at-least one mid-fielder to support the back line.
So that makes it a complex Chemistry and understanding which needs time.
Also, we have 3 players starting who have hardly trained with the rest of the team for as many hours. Time is not on our side, but, I say I can allow one Carling Cup game and one Premier League Loss (roughly, next two games).

If you have been following Arsenal for last 3-4 seasons (damn these 8-2 and 4-3 jokes), you should be aware that Arsenal slip up in roughly last 6 games. So why not it be the first 6 games? Of which, ManU and Liverpool were tough fixtures anyway and a loss is always a loss of 3 points. No matter to what extent humiliating it is.
Its just a rough patch which needs small tactile changes, we need a defensive coach, our attack is still the best in premier league.
As Captain says, we need back to back victories and a couple of cleansheets.

I see a come back the one which we will be proud and talk about.

Is the Arsenal‘s medical team run by Manchester United or Chelsea or Tottenham Hotspurs?
What is their qualification?
Are they even educated?
Or the have like really hoooooot nurses?
Or is it run by Barcelona?

I think it should be Barca, mastermind strategy to get Cesc Fabregas, now you have him leave us alone.
I know a PUTTUR BONE “SENTRE“ guy who fixes any injury in just hours. What the hell is wrong with one of the most prestigious sports academies of the world football?

Anybody who gets his name on the arsenal injury list either gets stuck on the list for ages or ruins his footballing career.

Eduardo [2008, 2009] ~ I agree you need to credit them for fixing it at first place.
Rosicky [2008, 2009] ~ One of the reasons for my frustration.
Ramsey [2009, 2010] ~ A case similar to Eduardo.

And now, I just hope it doesn't, Jack Wilshere. If not for these injuries, arsenal would have been a different story altogether. I have not mentioned the regular visitors like Van Persie, Diaby, etc.

Life after Cesc

As death is certain to a living soul, so was Cesc transfer to Barca. We all knew it had to happen, sooner or later. They said he belonged to them, there is no denial to that, but what Cesc today is- is what Arsenal have made him. From a raw kid, who could fit anyplace in mid-field to the best Central Mid-Fielder in the World. Cesc Fabregas, is undoubtedly an Arsenal product, he is what Arsene Wenger has made him.
Like after every sad things, life moves on. Things would not be the same but, there can be slightest hope for better things.
Moving on with any respected player, we would wish him better luck for future and success. But, here the case is Barcelona, all I can wish is Fabregas realizes his mistake, we will welcome him with open arms.

Arsenal vs Udinese

Okay! Enough with the sad shit. He wanted Barcelona he's got it. And He is getting trophies as well.
Well with Cesc drama finally over Arsenal can begin the business. Here is a list of to do items for Wenger.
1. Replacement for Cesc
The void which the ex-captain has left is a very difficult one. How will you replace the best Center-Mid in the World?. Fab was also the Captain, and Van Persie has, as expected, filled that void. And is for sure a better choice than the man himself. Arsenal has options with Lil Jack and Ramsey, Jack has been in the mid and has played as good as Fab, but yet Arsenal needs someone to take up the role as, sadly, Rosicky is past his best. And Ramsey needs time.

2. Get rid of Nasri
I like him, he is awesome. But, he has flirted with ManU which makes him worth discarding for free. But, if the Sheikhs have the money for him, so, why not. Cash in on Nasri. Now the question stands do we need a replacement for Nasri? My answer will be NO! We have a very good number of decent wingers lined up, who if not better can deliver as good as Nasri on their day. Not that Nasri was a consistently performing member of the squad last year.

3. Song like Player
I have not been a great fan of Song. But, what he did to Barton on the Day One was just awesome. It was foolish, but, AWESOME. And I have always emphasized that we need a Song like player, as a replacement or at times when he needs a break and with God-forsaken (I am no racist) African nations cup coming up we need a quality Holding player.

4. Gervinho, but...
Ten years from now, when people talk about it, I will proudly say, "I watched it LIVE". Awe(wait for it)some, AWESOME. IN YOUR FACE slap on Joe Barton.On his debut. That was what was missing at Arsenal.I love Gervinho already. But, we are still not up to the mark when CAPTAIN VAN PERSIE is out. We need to get rid of Bendtner and Chamakh and get a decent striker. I read a crazy article linking Tevez to Arsenal. Well now that we save Cesc's huge wages and Nasri's (desperate) wages we can afford him.

5. Defense, defense, defense, defense.
Is Wenger even bothered about it? If not its high time. I am very sorry to say that Verminator is not the same he was before the injury and Koscielny is like in two extremes, sometimes he is worse than a traffic cone on the field. The good news that we have AGAIN been liked with Mertesaker. Which if happens will be the second best defensive signing since Vermaelen.

Well my friends have again (5 years in row) written Arsenal off the Champions League spot for next season. Which is a challenge if I had taken up seriously in last 5 years I could have been able to buy Messi for Arsenal. Nevertheless expecting a good competition from the Gunners if not trophies.

Whats the Mata?

Its not very often that you log on to any football website and find news about Arsenal which in any sense is pleasing. Today happens to be my lucky day.

Juan Mata- a Gunner?

To start with, Juan Mata is on the brink of signing for Arsenal from Valencia. Good News? Hell ya! He is fast, intelligent, has an eye for pass, creates good number of Goals and handful at scoring as well. While few reports suggest that a bid has been accepted, while others say he is on his way to London for Medical, let us just say that he is expected to be a Gunner. But, at what price? I don't mean to say, 15 million which Arsenal are expecting to spend on him, but, will he be a replacement for either of Nasri or Fabregas?

Well that happens to be the second good news of the day, it looks like Fabregas has started training with Arsenal reserves well ahead of his schedule. Which bring us to a conclusion that the best mid-fielder in the Worlds stays at Arsenal for an other year.

So does it mean that its the end of Nasri? Or will Arsenal risk to let him out for free? Or will he extend his contract? Only time and Arsene Wenger can answer these questions.

And the best part was watching Gervinho play for Arsenal, he has what Arsenal needs. He remind me of Drogba against Arsenal.

While the main concern still remains unanswered, reports suggest Arsenal are submitting an improved bit for Cahill at 18 million, which, if true- can see the English defender at the Emirates.

Tevez, Neymar and Messi have been named as the duds of the Copa America, who didn't see it coming?
