Bio-design, une nouvelle perspective pour le Design écologique ?

La grande vitesse de l’industrie détruit peu à peu l’environnement qui nous entoure, entraînant ainsi un phénomène de déforestation majeur et la disparation de la faune et de la flore. Depuis quelques années, les designers se préoccupent de l’avenir de la planète. Ils essaient de trouver des solutions pour protéger notre environnement, en fabriquant des produits écologiques.

La conférencière Carole Collet cherche à relier biomimicry et biologie et à interroger le rapprochement entre scientifiques et designers. Elle inscrit l’objectif du design dans la question du développement rural et du changement climatique et l’avenir du textile avec la fibre numérique, afin de nous inviter à méditer sur ces fais actuels. Comment concilier à l’avenir le problème de l’environnement dans une stratégie de protection?

J’aimerais citer ici l’œuvre de l’artiste bulgare Ceca Georgieva, Bijoux Verts Eco Chics, qui prend modèle «au sens propre» sur la nature dans le domaine du textile. Son travail nous indique toute la délicatesse de l’essence de la nature, elle-même.

Ceca Georgieva’s Fresh Green Jewelry Created by Nature

Despite the rich autumnal tones on tap, jewelry innovation seems to be taking on the bold green hues of summer. These exotic leaf and pod accessories, created by Bulgarian textile artist Ceca Georgieva, are fit for a woodland nymph. After more than a year of email exchanges, I was treated to her latest green jewelry experiments, a fresh discovery in a land more accustomed to Thracian gold ornaments and ancient leafy crowns.

Georgieva is a Bulgarian national treasure who works pretty much on her own to promote environmental art and green design. We have been in dialogue about exciting new ways to bring awareness to green initiatives in her homeland (where I now spend a portion of my year), as well as the European art scene at large.

Georgieva magically assembled her pieces from fresh leaves, grasses, and pods gathered from Sofia’s Mount Vitosha.

Her work previously entailed figurative sculpture crafted out of biodegradable materials like dried burdock, native vegetation, and even packed snow orbs. A soft-spoken but incredibly persistent person, she gave me a tiny red oak to plant upon my arrival in Sofia last May—a sign of friendship and loyalty for years to come.

I love these pure and simple pieces that Georgieva has magically assembled out of fresh leaves, grasses, and pods gathered near her studio at the base of Sofia’s Mount Vitosha. They speak to the essence of green accessorizing in a way that highlights the jewels that exist in our immediate sphere.
In a country that is forging a new path in global design and fashion, it is exciting to see artists and designers launch into bold ideas and concepts inspired by the simplicity of nature.

Artboom: Celebrating Artists Mid-Century, Mid Career. This year’s exhibition brings together “baby boomers,” 33 artists born between 1946 and 1964, who are mid-way into their lives of making art. We’ve asked them to provide us work that is reflective; work that tells us where they’ve come from or where they hope to go; work that illustrates influences, roads not taken, and the like. Or, work that reflects on being a boomer, perhaps— part of the wealthiest, most active, and most physically fit generation up to that time and the first to grow up genuinely expecting the world to improve. It was a generation that created music and literature in the 60s and art — including fiber art — to describe the change this generation was determined to bring about.
The results are contemplative and thought provoking. Ceca Georgieva’s sculpture, The

Iron Curtain, reflects her life in a Communist and post-Communist state. Karyl Sisson’s In Stitches, harkens back to her family’s past in New York’s Fashion industry — her grandmother made hats and beaded bags in New York’s lower East side; her mother spent 25 years as a buyer for the specialty store Bonwit Teller. For Lewis Knauss, this stage of his career means seeing unrealized ideas (sketches, notes, photos) and failed work in a new light. “I am happier with chaos,” he says, “the way I need to give up a bit more control of the outcome, flaws and in nature, the beauty of disaster. I guess it is acknowledging the approaching wall. I enjoy working at my pace rather than a deadline enforced one, allowing things to just happen, evaluating the outcomes as I finish each work. Exhibition in the house-museum of Edsel Ford

Unusual exhibition will find in the house-museum Edsel and Eleanor Ford Gross Pointe Shores.
Until March 9 there are at more than 50 items 40tvortsi worldwide. The motto of the international exhibition "baskets made of natural materials" .Izlozhbata is oranizira by Jane Milosch, curator in the Renwick Gallery, Smithsonian American Art Museum.

These sculptures baskets are made from materials such as bamboo, pine, willow, algae,
feathers from birds spines of hedgehogs and drugi.Josephine Shea, curator of the museum Ford said that "the exhibition presents interesting artistic works,
designed to make us think and to draw attention to the unlimited source of inspiration - nature. "

Among the exhibits will find the work of the Bulgarian Ceca Georgieva, who lives in Sofia. It is a textile artist and has 20 years of experience in art. Enjoys working with vegetation, natural fibers and all natural materials that inspired her during her walks. Ceca Georgieva is an internationally recognized artist with awards from Europe and Asia. In foreign fashion sites determined Ceca Georgieva as an important part of the eco fashion in Bulgaria, recognizing its ability to highlight the beauty inherent in the nature with her collection "organic jewelry" that it uses ordinary leaves, twigs and pods. Ceca Georgieva said that "working with pripodni materials not only brings me joy, but also wisdom. Even in the smallest blade of grass has a history, meaning and
purpose. I constantly admire nature. Learn and marvel at its unique combination of shape, color, smell and light. For me it is
a challenge to get into that lab and to add their views. "

The exhibition is for visitors to the museum, which is open from
Tuesday to Sunday, from 11:00 to 17:00.
On March 9, Sunday 10: 00 to
11:30 there will be a closing of
the exhibition featuring Jane Milosch and
Josephine Shea.
Admission is $ 30 and includes breakfast.

Making is also meditative
.Textile artist Ceca Georgieva, of Sophia, Bulgaria, works in the natural world, creating time-intensive land art pieces. This snowball installation exudes quietude and fragility, created through a repetitive process that evokes the kind of attention and meditation involved in textile art.

The impermanence of the piece, the precarious balance makes it an intriguing moment in time. Soon it will all blow over and we can start anew.
