last 3 weeks i lost most of the CrackoArt Group artwork pics..

my laptop went swimming by accident... i know it suck..

there's a lot of artworks pic that i'm suppose to hand over to the web designer for the cracko.my

i'm trying to get as many as i can asap...

hopefully the hdisk is still ok... fingers crossed..

this suck!!...

i knew this day would come... but i didn't expect it to happen now...

i have more than 8 pcs of abandon paintings at home...

i wanted to do each and every one of em, but my ideas keep changing n all..

i hope this won't last too long...

to many negative vibe in the air n all...

i think this time i write something that i use to love to do

title: my creativity blocked

my brain is tingling with ideas

with fantasy and dreams and tears

for all that i have now became my fear

my ideas was too much for my creativity to steer

the canvas is empty which i look upon for many days

and i could have swear i see it try to run from me far far away

to the land where joy is just an expression

but i'm stuck here now with my own depression

ideas and sketches in books and on paper

and jealousy and smile and joy and anger

i know this will pass like the glass which i smashed

it's just another phase and i win it at last

well think that's sums it all..

although it don't make sense at all

maybe i should learn on how to do rhymes..

my coffee challenge....

Last month Santola bar did a coffee shot drinking competition,

it's the shot challenge.

the challenge is easy.. how many shot of coffee can you consume..

the task is easy right?.. yeah right.. hahaha..

well.. this challenge started and the first person who enter this is not me.. but anddy

he drank 5 shot.. pretty easy huh... on the next day Jessica did 6 shot to beat anddy's..

Jess 6 shot did stand long when a week later uncle john did 10 shot and from what u heard he was addmitted to the SMC hospital that night.. woo.. scary huh.. but no worry.. his ok..

now where were we.. o yeah.. on the same week terry (a guy who used to work with this coffee company) did 14 shot.. woo.. crazy.. crazy... and what's the after effect?.. that night he only got 4 hours of sleep... the rest is just counting sheeps.. lol...

for your info.. the numbers of local people who drinks coffee is not that many.. yes they do admit that they drink coffee everyday but, most of the coffee are mixed.. it's not pure beans in it..

ok.. now Terry holds the record... and guess what.. Anddy came back.. wanting to get the throne... hahah..

he try to beat Terry 14 shot with his 16 shot... and i was there.. i really thought anddy can do it.. but.. after going halfway... he stopped.. after 30 min or so.. he puked so he failed..

2 more guys came on the last week of the challenge

Haytham and Stanly.. which both failed to out beat Terry's 14 shot..

Well now here's my story.. I almost missed the last closing date bcause i had to attend a seminar..

as soon as the seminar ended, i rush to Santola bar and try my luck..

since to me.. coffee is yummy... hehee.. i did 21 shot..

o yeah.. it was crazy.. 5 min after i drank the shot.. my hand was shaking.. my whole body was vibrating inside... woo.. the feeling was... "you gotta try it out yourself".. hehehe..

did i win this challenge??... well.. nope.. last entry came an hour after me.. Rex did 30 shot...

if only i knew i would did more... hahahha... well anyway... maybe next time...

ow the prize for this is not alot.. just a cert, flask, mug and a whole week supply of coffee from Santola bar... any kind for FREE..... hahah..

i didn't win so that's all about it.. lol.. ow.. my personal after effect...

1 hour ++ i went off from the bar.. i had to ask my wife to drive.. just in case my system went crazy while driving... after 10 minute stuck in traffic.. i guess because i smelled a lot of fumes from the vehicle around..

I.... BBBllluuuaawwaahhhhhHHH... yup.. i puke... and all the yummy coffee were on the road side...

got back home... took a short nap.. and hour... woke up.. and cook dinner for the family... huh..

the sad thing was... i was sober... and i feel normal... and it's suck!!!.. hahah..

that night i went to bed normal... so not so big deal for drinking a lot of coffee... well i think that's because i'm a coffee junkie......

the weather is hot in north borneo, it's not usually like this... i remember when i was young, the weather is just nice... one can go out and play at 3pm.. but...now.. people will say you one crazy person to go out and play on this kind of weather.. well i guess it's all about the "global warming" effect...

been reading on news bout weird weather happening all over the world.. it's sad to hear and scared at the same time.. well i guess we'll just have to accept the fact that we might not live long to see the future that we hope for... a skateboard buddy of mine just pass away weeks back in a car accident a Lahad Datu.. he's 24yrs old and just got married dec 2010.. we got alot of plans to do together in doing our own skate videos but.... you know... may his soul rest in peace up in skate heaven..

so i my advice to y'all.. treat everyday as a new day and appreciate life.. even if it's suck as hell the minute you wake up in the morning.. you never know when all we have will be gone... so if you look forward to tomorrow, you sure to feel exited inside... hehehe..

Btw.. that's my old style of doing art that i haven't been doing in a very long time... hope i can make more..

When i was in school from primary till i finish high school, i find that it's not enough on what the art teacher teach in art. most of the time i would go to the library and read on art books, ask from friends on how they do certain paintings. i good to have few artist friends who like to share on their own personal style in painting.

After I graduated in Design course on 99, I find myself searching for something in art. until now, I still haven't found it yet.. well just go on with life and learn.. i find this is the most important thing in life.. learn..

Art is too complicated to be defined.. well at least that's how I would put it. Since I'm the kinda guy who love's to do try out new stuff, I've decided that this year im gonna improve my painting skills.. so i tried out this and it's fun.. i like it.. where's the like button.. lol..

Hopefully this year i learn more on how to do colours mixing and how to apply it in my painting..

hi ya'll... how's your day?

hope ya'll have a great one today n tomorrow n so on.. hehehe

remember last week drift car project... yeah.. ya'll like that huh.. well here's the 2nd session...

ow... Gerry told us that the shop where he got the spray paint for the 1st session tried to rip him off..

well see, when he bought the spray paints (1dozen) the price was 7 buck each... came back last week to get 2 dozen.. pack the wole thing inside d box.. went to the counter and when he was about to pay guess what.. the "taukeh" boss... say 9buck each... n gerry did mention bout the last week price of the same paints and the boss say.. "last week it got the wrong price tag on it".. wwooooaaahh... WTF... man...

gerry was pissed.. so he went off without buying a single can from there.. look for another shop...

took 24cans brought it to the counter and this time the "taukeh" ask "why u bought alot of these spray paint"..

Gerry showed him the 1st session vid in his iphone n guess what.. that "taukeh" offered to be our first sponsor for this project.... and we were like... oyeahhh... that's gerry part of the story..

ok let's move on..

3 more artist from C.A.G crackoart group..

it's adam j, anddy rd and irwan.. these three talented artist get their turn to do the 2nd session of this project..

as we go along.. ya'll get to see local north borneo artist in the CAG doing stuff most of em never did before..

this is the 1st time this 3 do a piece on a car.. nice.. starting with weird discussion on ideas and what they wanna do.. ow by the way... this is pure FreeStyle.. yup.. no early stage discussion on what they wanna do, how they gonna do it and the end result is just amazing...

here's the progress stage.. enjoi..

It's been always a dream of mine to have my art on any vehicle... i mean a decal or something..

but since i don't have any airbrush set.. i had to hold that thought...

until.....

Gerry Kong an establish profesional photographer came up and ask if we could do spray paint art project on his

drift project car.. It's almost like doing airbrush work but with aerosol paint..
so I was like oww.. yeahhh...

a dream come true...

It's actually not that big deal kinda thinggy, but if you live here in North Borneo.. this stuff consider as "RARE".. So to anyone who say.. hey this is normal in my place..

like I say.. people in North Borneo don't do stuff ya'll do.. hahaha...

what you see here is just the 1st session.. more to come...

took him 8 years to rebuilt the car from scrap..

a very expensive hobby if you ask me.. lol... but he's an awesome guy..

i'll talk more about him on the next session...

in the mean time.. enjoy our first art experiment

Green Surf Mural Collabo/Compilation

1st of april is commonly known as the prank day..

but this year when everyone went on and say april fool and all.. a group of NGO did a huge party at the 1st beach located at Tg Aru beach.. the main organizer for this event is the Green Surf, what i understood about them is that they doing this bunch of eco and community stuff for the people in north borneo who'd not represented by anyone.. well basically they lend a hand for those suburban people that got cheated by coruption n stuff done by the so called people who work with the "System"..

well anyway enough about that.. i'm not sure if my english is good enough to elaborate such stuff.. hahaha..

ok... here goes... the organizer invited the CrackoArt Group to deal with a huge mural located there on the 1st beach.. This is the 1st time we did a collabo with other artist from other gallery...

Ow.. On behalf of the CrackoArt Group

i would like to thanked the organizer for letting us in this event, the artist from mayuri art gallery and also the Sabah Skateboarding Association in doing this collabo

The main thing about this collabo is:-

- to promote art

- to teach the artists to have respect towards each other

- to try work on the piece as a team

- to end the whole piece as 1 piece

The venue for this is located on the 1st floor of the Tanjung Aru Beach and the it's an abandon office (which will be refurbish to a new one" with no window, 5 working lightbulb and a door..

This what happen... the artist work in almost dark senario and when some artist uses the aerosol paint... some of them just can't stand it so they just went off and leave... they can't stand the smell of aerosol.. lucky for the one with the mask on.. lol..

things didn't go as planned tho.. it's hard to get every artist to try and blend in with the others since each and everyone of the have their own style and technique.. so i think in the end it's more of a compilation of art from diffrent artist rather than a collaboration of artist.. well anyway everyone had fun, that's for sure..

i didn't get to snap any pic on the 1st because my cam out of charge... hahaha... lucky me huh... dang..

note to self... next time charge cam batt before attend any event...

So.. where were we... ow ya.. this mural was suppost to finish around 10pm.. we started at 6pm..

at the end... when the organizer went to hav a look at the mural.. eventhou they impressed.. but still it's unfinish..

so in any other way, the Cracko's was the one that suppost to finish the job since we the one that suppost to monitor it.. i did snap a few.. so here's the final look on the wall... hope ya'll like it...

i think that's all for now.. i'm blabbering nonsense here.. hahahha...

jan 2011 mark a history in our heart and soul... it's this day that we manage to do our 1st group art exhibition in an art gallery.. yeah..

the main purpose for this exhibition is to promote various style/genre in art..

we just want the new generation (in north Borneo) to feel and think more on the creative side and also to promote unknown talented artist here in north borneo...

a correction to all the news article... it's cracko art group.. the new V is actually the title for this exhibition.. lol.. everyone assume that the new V is actually the group name.. everyone makes mistake.. so it's ok... ow and one last thing.. "Cracko Art Group" is an independant art movement.. we have no string attach to any gov/private sector and we intend to keep it that way... thanks 4 your support in our art scene ya'll..

hobbycon is back again.. different look but with the same concept.. promote your the hobby culture and at the same time cosplay.. which is a craze around the world nowadays..

well.. it's time for my personal review on this event i guess..

2 days was great.. the event went smoothly...

but....

this year the cosplayers are less than last year.. but the contestant who joined the cosplay competition have improved alot.. more detail and creative in making their costumes

there's a doodle wall..

well it suppost to be a doodle wall.. what started as a good doodle wall

turn out really bad.. some people who do understand what a doodle wall means.. did their doodle.. but

seems like most people who participate the doodle wall thinggy don't really understand what doodle is all about.. they keep drawing their maskot and some just put signature on it.. i even saw this girl wrote down

FUCK this bitch.. WTF??.. so since i'm a doodle lover.. i was kinda dissapointed with the final work

well hopefully it'll be better in years to come... heheh

this year the organiser decided to use booth instead of table like last year.. when i did my chit chat around the events.. most booth owner gave a bad response towards the booth...

they pay a certain amount of fee and visitors don't seems to dare step into their booth..

most of the middle section booth owner claim that because of the narrow walkway in between the booth..

alot of the visitors don't want to get stuck in the human traffic jam.. so most middle section booth are not visited.. i mean they do get visitors but less compare to the outher side booth section..

maybe next year the organiser could look into this matter..??

well here goes my rating review...

so this year.. i would say this event is a 6.. alot can be done.. more programs to keep the event fresh rather than seeing some band performing bebier songs.. which is funny tho.., more cosplayer.. maybe if the 1st price was 1k.. we could see more cosplayer in detail and creative costumes..

well i did had fun during the event.. so i'll just add .5 on the rating

6.5 that's my final point review..

it's not that expensive for a custom painting clock.. a dude pass by the clock shop few month back..

and he say.. this is an amazing painting.. but people here won't buy it..

why?? because unlike some other places..

here people love to admire and talk about an art..

but when it comes to purchase one for themself..

they rather spend it on clothing, branded merchandise and yeah.. drinks..

hopefully one day this will change...

Donald came back the other day and we manage to get some demo for him to show the public here.

This is all about doodle..

what makes this piece unique is that it's done by 3 people..

Start painting something and just let it evolve..

Painting with donald is fun.. we were laughing most of the time..

there's no stress or tension on what the final outcome gonna be..

this piece was done in just a few hour..

what we learn from this is that,, how another person try to compliment the others

style and technique and in the end it become 1..

there's alot of hidden message in it.. and also others definition of this artwork..

we just call it.. "the trouble mind of todays youth"

hope i'll get to do more painting with donald in future..

what is cracko art?.. this got sumting to do with all the art i've done..

what is cracko art society?.. it's an art movement here in north borneo..

let me tell y'all a bit about cracko art... 9 years back 2001-2002 crackoart zine was created and circulated around the local underground scene for 1 purpose only.. and that is.. to create awareness on different style/genre/topic in art.. with hope that by doing this, more art style/genre/technique/topic... can be born here locally... you can say that it's sort of a revolution thinggy going on in the art scene..

why was this created?

for more than 10 years, the art scene here is under control under one head.. and that is.. the gov fund art gallery.. i really don't have any beef with them.. but compare to other state in m'sia.. north borneo sabah has the lowest rank in terms of good artist, well known artist, establish artist, supported artist, art gallery.. etc

so crako art main goal was to share diffrent art in the younger minds so that 10years from now.. or then.. the art scene could evolve into something as big as other state or country...

i stopped publishing crackoartzine after 2 years.. (i had to have a 9-5 job)..

it's just recently 2 years back 2008, i started doing art again.. and this is the present day story...

started small last year by gathering local underground artist for the purpose of educating the public/ local about the needs of having our own local contemporary art movement

(we formed a free art movement specifictly for charity, it's called "ARTPreciate")..

from this exposure we manage to get the public/corporate/gov/international.. attention

cracko art society was form and this year manage to get alot of new talented unknown to the public, the so called "underground artist"... this art movement grew bigger thanks to the probono community service "cleanup and beautify the abandon heritage site" next to HSBC infront of Suria Sabah.. public/local begin to accept this form of art here in north borneo sabah...

next year we have something big to share to all.. y'all be ready now... the plan is 50% done and it's the 1st ever such event ever done here in north borneo...

last sat 16th oct 2010 to be exact..

was the last day me n the group do art on the historic abandon building here in KK..

for us it was a fun and enjoying day.. we got ourself a new member in the team and he's good in expressing his art.. all of us tried to do as many art as we can on that day.. but sad to say this.. that this is our last day.. it's not that we don't wanna do any art session here.. it's just that we have bigger plan to focus on for next year.. something big is heading the art scene here.. lol.. eventhou this is our last session on the site.. but still...

we're happy because our message manage to get to the public.. and that is.. there's a lot in art than just scenery, landscape and potrait....

I've been smoking alot lately.. hmm wonder why.. i don't feel any tension or stress.. i still feel good.. i still smile to anyone even to strangers..lol.. hmm.. or am i begining a bad habit in addiction in smoking.. kinda scares me a bit too..lol.. Well anyway..

Today i feel like expressing my new goal in art.. and that is to spread the seeds of "outsider art".. basically everyone know how to draw... it's either bad or good.. it would still be called art..

let me give y'all a crash course in outsider art.. (this is thru my point of view)

1. take a piece of blank paper and anything you can use to write example pen/marker/pencil..

2. draw a house (this is the most common drawn object by anyone..lol)

have you finish drawing that house? let's move on

3. now draw maybe 2 or 3 hands or any human anatomy (which is the easiest for you) attach to the house..

4. draw a smile on the house..

hav you got it?

now the magic part in this art...

titled this art "my house is infested with happiness"

this is your first outsider artwork..

Well basically for me, outsider art is just another form of art that comes within yourself.. it could either be drawing/painting/installation... Let's make another example.. most people would describe a house as big/small, luxury, white, green and so on.. while some other would see a house as happy/scary/a friend/ the whole world/ a fish tank/ a tv.. see what i mean..

it's just another form of how you describe something.. a situation/object/topic..

so pick up a blank piece of paper or any material you can draw on and explore.. enjoy.. be creative.. be happy.. who know.. maybe one day you can join the outsider art exhibition... lol..
