Hello lovely ladies,

I am writing after a long time hoping to reach to lot of you ladies who must have gone or going through the same health issue as me.

I was spending time to myself and also gathering information on my situation, just to understand what is happening to me . It took me a while but I figured it. As a women I was made to normalised all my pain and neglected my health till it was an alarming situation.

Little about myself, mother of 3 loving daughters. I had all 3 C-section and had 2 abortions. Luckily I never took any pills or used “T” for my personal fears. And good as now we are coming to know how bad it’s for our health. My health slowly started to deteriorate after my 3rd child that is when I was 32 years I started feeling weak and my periods though were on time always but the flow was very heavy. It was so bad that I dreaded to stand or sit fearing that the flow will ruin or leak out…and a lot of times it did …it was painful and scary. I was physically and mentally drained. All this lead to a cutout from the world, I had no one who could understand. I did consultant gynaecologist but of no use. Doctors are not there for you , they are in the marked to take out the investment their parents made to make them doctors. They give nonsense tests, unnecessary medicine. There may be few exception but I was not lucky to meet them. Years passed in hope that things will become fine but it kept getting worse. I was frustrated, weak and lonely. My hemoglobin dropped and reached a point where it remained between 5.6 to 6 and this was the worst phase. The doctors asked me to take intravenous iron followed by iron tablets. Which back fired and I almost immediately started sinking leaving all the doctors to panic, that’s when they realised that I am a rare person who was allergic to iron. (They should have done a allergy test before ). This was terrifying experience which let to dis belief in Allopathy medicine and Doctors . Nothing was effecting my health. Hair loss, dry skin, cracked foot, hot flashes, always tired, brain fogging and the list never stopped . After my delivery I was prescribed thyroid medicine which went on for a very long time..though I used to stop taking them once in a while. This health graph kept on escalating till I was about 45years. My pre Menopause and Menopause phase I bloated up due to neglect and poor medical guidance. Soon I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.

Totally devastated and not knowing what to do? I only trust myself and did a lot of research and educated myself on improving health and immediately. By the time I was 50 years lot of changes happened physically and mentally. I was almost finished in my currier as an artist. I did nothing but a little house work and felt totally drained. During periods it felt like hell, painful and scary. No one understood . Internet was my only hope and during one such search I came across

Dr. Robin Sharm’s YouTube Channel.

(Let me tell you I just don’t follow anyone like that but guess when you are destined to meet good things just happen. Thank To the Universe to help me in this). For me his medicine and advice worked.

No offence but I have no faith in Allopathic medicine, I truely believe that it just suppress the issue and you end up paying long term side effects.

My experience:

PS : don’t take any medicine for more than 3 months always give a gap or follow a schedule. Your body needs time to digest and understand the cycle and treatment. Also be careful of what you eat as these days everything is adulterated be it vegetables or fruits or non veg. Try to pick personal from the market and not call for it at home.

In addition to taking the medicines, I also incorporated home-cooked meals and recommended home remedies, such as Gond ka tira, chia seeds, jeera water, sattu drink and more, into my daily routine for a period of 20 days to a month.

During this time, I consistently took Krishna Ayurveda’s medicine:

- Thyro balance juice for 3 months

- Hemoglobin booster juice for 2 months

- She care juice for 3 months

- Diabetic care juice for 3 months

Last one month I am taking KAPIVA ‘s Shilajit once a day, and really feeling the difference.

(This was the brand that worked for me , their herb combination suited me, but there are more companies who are making Ayurvedic medicine so kindly do your R&D as well).

Good thing about these medicine is that you don’t have to take it through out your life. You take it as your body needs it. I do my blood test every 6-8 months and if need be I can take medicine according to the deficiency.

As a result of this I started shedding my excess weight. I was 68kgs and now I am 53kgs. I am much better now and understand my body. Apart from food and medicine I also try to walk more whenever possible.

During this time family support is very essential, Luckily my kids were very supportive. Though my journey to healing has just begun. Ladies we have damaged ourselves too much now repairing will also take time, don’t think few months will be enough. It’s a lifetime process of taking care and being conscious of your intake.

❤️Give more time to yourself to heal. Do what makes you happy, singing, reading , outings, art or craft , gardening anything..

Eat healthy, and light. Avoid outside junk (once in a way is ok )

❤️❤️One more advice if possible try to go for weeklong vacation to hills that really helps as the air and water change really boosts your over all health and immediately. I realised it when I got the opportunity to go to Shimla for 10 days to 12 days and really felt the difference. The city life is actually killing us and acts as slow poison. In good air we are a new person all together.

❤️❤️❤️ what ever you do full day take out time only to yourself . Even if it’s sitting alone and doing nothing. “ME” time as it’s called. Love and palmer yourself. You deserve it. Trust me no one will come any praise your efforts, so you do it yourself.

Now I am slowly coming back to my work that helps me financially and I also feel better when the mind is at work. Avoid social media as it drains you of your mental health.

I made this tag style album for my family.. a lot of you asked me how I would make my family picture album, and this is one style which is compact, holds lots of photos and good space for small journals.

I made this album entirely from the left over paper of all my old project, so there are lot of different pattern paper in this. I have also done lot of handle doodling with different colours and used baby punch cutouts. The wooden paper lips too are hand written and lots more..hope you like it..

Welcome to 2023. I am making these diaries for myself from past 5 years and I can’t tell you how satisfying it is . It not only saves me money for an expensive organiser but also gives me a more personalised pages, where I can journal, draw, write notes.

This way I use up all my scrap left over papers from my previous projects. I keep the diary small so that it’s easy to carry anywhere, and fits in a small bag without taking much space. This diary is about 6.5 in x 5 in , and the spine is 2 in. It holds removable pages so that I can add or remove papers when I want. Makes my life so much easy, so once I am done with some task I just remove the page and add another one if needed.

This is how the finished diary looks like 👍.

I made the cover with an old cardboard box (this is one of the ways I recycle old boxes )

The inside looks like this , first few pages are of important notes. Then the month wise Callander starts where I use one page for one day, so I have enough to write/draw, doodle or journal.

The monthly pages look like this were I write important dates, or mark an event etc.

Now it was time to decorate the cover so I covered the base with left over brown paper, then to make the spine stronger, I added a handmade paper to it.

Here I added 2 pockets on starting and last page of my diary so I could hold small papers, visiting cards, notes, bills photographs etc.

Don’t bother about the uneven spine, once the papers comes on it, all gets covered.

And this is the final result, yes it looks too simple, but I love simple and minimalist designs. Ideal for my daily work. I love it hope you like it too. To see the video

Minimalist Bar with decoupage bottle and a aroma candle (Personalised Gift Ideas )

The project

Hello to all of you.

I am here with my latest work. This was a personalised gift for a house warming event. This bar was ordered online but the client wanted more personalised look and something to go with it. So I decided to make a decoupage bottle with Marilyn Monroe ( old beauty) along with an aroma candle.

It was a complete decor any Morden bar would have. A very minimalist approach. Keep it anywhere in the house and it will look beautiful 😍. You can also put a real or a artificial plant in the bottle if you wish to add to its beauty.

The Candle : Now the big thing was to decide on which fragrance to choose from? 😁😁 After much discussion We finally ended up choosing WILD FOREST. This aroma is oil based and was soothing as well. So I finally took a heat resistant jar, since it looked plain, I did some out line with black liner and coloured it with glass colours by Fevicryl.

Then I heated soy wax, added aroma, and poured it in the jar so that it sets. After 48 hours it was ready and smelled amazing 🤩 .

Decoupage bottle

The Bottle : Then I took a nice bottle and prepared it by cleaning and removing the stickers and paint from the surface . Once that was done I applied a coat of Gesso and let it dry completely. Then I took the printed decoupage paper and removed extra layers of tissue till I was left with the printed paper only. With the help of modpodge I pasted the image and then applied some modpodge on top of the picture covering the entire surface with the glue so that the Image sticks properly. Let it dry completely and then finished by decorating the bottle with jute thread and wooden beads. And yes I did apply a coat of varnish before I decorated the bottle.

The Bar : After cleaning the surface with a damp wipe let it dry and then I used white pen to write the quote. Once it dried, I sprayed it with varnish and it was finally done.

Wedding Coconut DIY / decoration ( Shagan coconut DIY )

Hello friends

First of all thank you all for visiting my blog.

This time I got the opportunity to design these lovely Shagan coconut which is a part of our India wedding. A very simple yet looked very elegantly designed.

I have used satin fabric as the base with good quality ready plastic flowers. The flowers were arranged in a way to look like a small bunch, giving an illusion of a bouquet. Sharing some of the images. Hope you like.

Finally when it was done, I individually packed them in clear wrap so that the flowers don’t gather dust or get damaged.

I know I have been very irregular with my blog updates. And I have a good reason for it. I have a new love in my life and that's Quilting. I know it's not something relevant to what I have been doing for so many years, but it's only till the time you don't know what you are missing out on.

It took am a while to know and I really want to let the Indian quilters come out and promote this lovely art.

Paper Quilling Clown / Joker

Hello firends,
My latest project, a paper quilled Joker/ clown, where I spend about 18-20 hours. In the beginning I had only planned to make a Joker, but once it was made , I decided to make the composition with all the stuff around it. The maximum time went in making the box, (about 4 hours) where I wanted to give a cane look and had to do weaving of 3mm strips. In the end I made a cylinder out of 2 (A4) size acitate sheets to cover the whole project

Embellishments by Altered Craft

Welcome to my blog, today I am going to share my views on these lovely embellishments sent to me by Altered Craft. I have been crafting from 8 years and have used so many different kind of embellishments to make the projects look attractive. Some good, some not so good. Having right material for the right job is the key that leads you to a successful layout.

The Altered Craft embellishments are good quality and the finish is very nice, and after trying out different color mediums, I realized that almost all Acrylic, Permanent Inks and Alcohol colors go very well with these.. some of the experiments I am finally sharing with you all… hoping you will like it..

A Stone Paper weight

Project 1:

I colored the stone with layers of Ranger Alcohol inks, (I used, Caramel, Latte and Ginger) once I got the right color, I moved to coloring the the Embellishment, I used the alcohol blending solution so that the base can be made little lighter. And finally ended up getting the desired finish. In the end I add some micro beads and stickles to finish it up..Giving it a rustic look in the end..

I used Stickles to color the frame and giving it a softer look..Finishing it up with my baby's pic..

Project 3:

Here I used Copic Colors to make the flowers and leaf. Since Copic colors are alcohol based it nicely covered the surface and where i needed lighter tone I just washed it off with alcohol solution. In the end added the chain .. and here I have a lovely Valentine's Day gift ready..

Project 4:

In this I made a 'For You' card. I simply useda little shimmer on top of it, sadly the picture is not clear but the shine is very nice and soft..

In this project I made WISH BOTTLES .. and I used Inktense color pencils to color the embellishments..a soft red color adds on to the beauty..

Tonic Glass Mat its uses and Review

Hello Friends,

First of all pardon me if I went wrong somewhere in my Videos, being my first voice video and I am yet learning on how to make them, any feedbacks on improving my video is highly appreciated.

Today’s blog is on Glass Mat by Tonic. I was very impressed when I first saw Vicky using the bigger Glass Mat by Tonic. Immediately I was impressed by the looks of it. It comes in 2 sizes. The one which I got is a 12x12 in mat and very convenient, surely fits my table which is not very big in size.

It came well packed from A1 Craft Store, thanks Neha for getting it for me. I got it few days back and was busy trying different craft products I could use on this mat. Till now I have used these things that you see in the Picture, apart from Fevicol , Deco Glue and mixing color of different kind. Just love it. And soon I will share my completed projects, since its something I am using it regularly, now.

What all you can Do on the Mat

you can cut with your pen knife on the mat but avoid the intricate cuts or heard cuts, you will spoil the blade faster.
you can use any kind of mixed media colors and paints , since the cleaning is very easy.
You can use distress inks, Oxide inks, Distress Paints, Alchol Inks, and the list goes on
I used little soap water to wipe my surface clean.
You can use this surface to heat emboss on your projects, its a tampered Glass and can take the heat, but to be on the safer side i kept the heat gun at a safe distance.
Any kind of marker pen can be used on it and can be cleaned off easily.
All the stenciling and mixed media effects can be done easily.
Use you glue gun directly and make designs without any worries.

The possibilities are endless...........

My small Kitchen Garden

Tips on Water Coloring for starter's

Hello friends,

I finally got back to sketching and water colors which was always my passion and due to time and personal commitments I could not think of getting started. Its not easy to take care of both your family and your passion at the same time, and trust me i am trying my best to juggle my way..I dont wanna be on the top ...or earn big money ...but just prove myself that i can do something...

Anyways coming to the point , I picked up some lovely water colors ( in tube, cake and pencil)

There are few things I would like to share for the people who wish to start with paintings,

* always invest in good quality colors, they may be expensive but go for the smallest set ..of 6 or 12 colors.

colors are very important part in getting the kind of out put you are looking for , so to achieve that you will need to invest in good quality colors, don't go for Artist quality colors which are very expensive, ask for a students quality colors, the difference is in the pigments, u try making a painting with regular colors and then try with quality colors ...you will see that regular colors are dull whereas the quality colors are more rich and vibrant, and the colors normally don't fade over the time..I went for a big pack to get more color range and since i know i will use them so often ..it was worth the investment..don't ask the price :)

second most important thing is the kind of brush you use, again take average quality brush, that will range from 100/- to 350/- . you don't really need all the sizes in that so take the thinnest and the thick ...I took no. 00, 4, 6 10 in round brush and one flat brush of 1 inch for the back ground.

last but not the least the paper, that's a personal choice, you can go for the Hot Press or the Cold Press. I will not get into explanation as the internet is full of it.
Point is you have to choose your paper according to your project..eg
If you are using the copic colors, then go for papers by copic co. as they are specially designed so that the colors don't bleed out. same way if you are using water colors then take 200-300 gsm paper (hot press / cold press) my brand is Brustro, and a local brand for 100% cotton paper hot press as that's what I have used till now.
My personal choice is 300 gsm "Brustro" for best results.

*** few extra things for later on are the paint thinners, acrylic brushes, blending tools etc. but that's for the later.

I started making sketches and ended making these cute cards for my client who was very keen to get a handmade card made for her father and a friends b'day. In this the coloring is done with the Derwent Water colors.

this is how the card looks from inside, the person was a big fan of Starbucks and she wanted me to make a cards with all his fav foods in it..

this is another set of cards which was made for her father's B'day and she wanted this particular layout..the size is 6x8 in and was for 1500/- for a set of 3 cards

I have been practicing different types of water color pencils off late and just love the way the Derwent water colors come our...be it the light faded look ..like the one I got for this Girl..or this Owl below ...

This Owl is made with Derwent Inktense color Pencils and I just love the way it layers on to the paper and gives a very viberent output..I used a 300 gsm cold press paper by Brustro water color paper, this is by far my most favorite paper for water coloring, it does not bend.

Album / Scrapbook : Friendship album from Akansha to her friend

Hello friends,

This time I made a album in mixed media for Akansha's friends. This album has lot of cute elements which I tried to show..

with lots of tags and hand written quotes... hope that the images are clear enough..I will try and walk you through the album as my video got corrupted..

The Album size : 8X8in

No. of pages: 10

can hold about 250 pic

This Cover is made in mixed media with lots of layering and small elements added
the next pic should how I added some fun elements and made it
stand out.

The heart opens up and you can put 2 pic inside
on the top of the heart you can slide in a pic under the hand cuffs.

The charms too are added and the wish bottle has a small letter where you
can write a small note, the small handmade note book with "LOVE" written
on it gives you lot of room to write your sentiments and notes.

The inside starts with lots of tags on the left side and the right side
has layering of flaps.

Some more tag space.

The left page has a room for 10 pic of 4x6in and the right side has a waterfall pic space.

This is my favorite page..with lots of cute die cuts. the big balloon can hold

This time I made an album for Ahana, who is a huge fan of Minions and so you will see a lot of Minions in this album. there is a use of bright and bold colors as this is both a family and a baby album. This book has 12 pages and can hold about 250- 300 pic at a time. the size is approx 9inx11in and the spine is 3 in.

Hello Friends,

As the year comes to an end, i want to say..

Those who are following me must be thinking where the hell I vanished. Honestly speaking I was just taking a break from my hectic schedule and giving myself sometime as I was constantly kept falling sick…that’s another story…but yes this surely gave me enough time to think on my future plans and start on with it .

A lot happened , some good some bad...overall I have no regrets.

Its not that I was absolutely not doing anything …but some work which I wish to share with you all are these..

INTRODUCING THE ART CLASSES FOR THE FOLLOWING COURSES:

All the classes are short time workshops where you are taught everything about that particular subject. These classes are designed to make you understand the topics, after which you become confident enough to take up any project independently. Keeping in mind that you dont have to run around for the material ..all these classes comes with basic kit containing the material..so if you are visiting my Studio, all you need to do is carry yourself..and you take away the knowledge and the projects you make...

Album/ Scrapbook : 25th Wedding Anniversary of Vandana & Sanjay

Hello friends,
This is the album that kept me busy for so long..almost took a month to make and its by far my most favorite album..Its a gift from a daughter to her parents on their 25th Wedding Anniversary..
In this album.. I had cut 126 die cut of the floral base and then embossed and inked and glued each sheet to give that lovely light look. The champagne bottle and the glasses were also hand painted and then inked to give that glass effect..the base red background was given a crumpled leather look with that handmade charm to add on to its beauty..
the dimensions are :
Album Size : 12x12x4 (all measurements are in inches)
No. of pages : 13 (26 pages front and back) + 12 Big tags and A-4 Size tags to hold the extra pictures..
holds about 200 pic
