9 p.m. show on 6th of April on India TV, telecast the information and
report on the remarriage of a Taliban Terrorist Baitullah in
Waziristan in Afghanistan.

In
between this report, the pictures of His Holiness Dr. Syedna
Mohammed Burhanuddin (TUS) performing nikah were been
inserted and constant background talk of terrorism was given. In what
accordance do you think His Holiness is connected to the terrorists?
Do you even know who you are talking about?

His
holiness is amongst the four persons in the world who is awarded with
the address of "His Holiness" including
Dalai Lama and the Christian Pope.
And
His Holiness is also awarded with the title of "Ambassador
of Peace" from many major countries of the world.

If
India TV does not know such a unique personality, then its not our
fault. You are the News Channel and you ought to know better and more
than us. This is the proof of your knowledge, information, and lack
of professional journalism.

Is
this the way you follow the ethics of journalism?

You
are now apologizing for the error you have committed. But merely a
line on the bottom of the screen stating the word "afsos"
won't do. You have to telecast the apology of your misconduct as long
as and as repeatedly as you did the error, at the same show on the
same time, which should grasp the same audience that have been
watching on the evening of 6th April.

This
is we think the only way the reputation of His holiness Dr. Syedna
Mohammed Burhanuddin (TUS) can be mended (but only partially).

Although
the damage has been done. We the Dawoodi Bohra Muslim Community
demand a full fledged apology(as stated above) from India TV.

We
also demand the necessary action be taken on the reporter for such
grave mistake.

Hope
you understand that we are hurt to the depth of our soul. And this
letter is been written from a crying heart. Because, this is the
matter of great insult to our Maula(TUS) and the Dawoodi Bohra Muslim
Community as a whole.

So, finally I have collected enough new Moon optical illusions to justify posting them as a collection. Individually posting each one, wouldn't make sense any more. Agree? Even though the idea isn't something we haven't already seen before (through relative sizes category), still each photo uses the Moon as an illusion in a slightly different manner. If my memory serves me correctly, the first illusion of this kind that made me "wooow" was The Man holding a Sun. Afterwards, they just kept coming. While I was writing this article, I came to a conclusion how I subconsciously choose the illusions I post. If my method interests you, just keep reading - First and most important ingredient is the illusion itself. If the optical illusion isn't obvious enough, no matter how cool the photo is, I won't publish it. After all, this website is entirely dedicated to illusions. Now if the illusion itself is good enough, I look at the picture (or photo) as a whole. It has to be visually keen, or plainly - look nice. In the end, I try to choose among illusions that are original enough, but weren't already posted in every corner of the internet. Sometimes the illusion itself is so awesome or new that it (rightfully) overrides my other criteria, and sometimes just the artistic touch or the coolness of the photo override the first (illusion) criteria. Here, now you have it... Please share your thoughts. Advices are always welcome.

Japan’s Spectacular Floating Airports

What happen when there’s no suitable land to build a new major airport or there are protest about the new construction without hesitation due to noise pollution or other environmental implications?

If you travel to Japan in the near future, you may witness a solution to these problems in the form of floation airports. At present there are four such constructions in Japan (there are also examples in Hong Kong and Macau). Each built on its own artificial island offshore and each backed by the community it serves. The first of these incredible engineering wonders to be built and the first of its kind in the world was Kansai International Airport in Osaka Bay. Just to build the 4 kilometres long island called for 21 million cubic metres of landfill plus the assistance of 80 ships, then there was the small matter of connecting the airport to the mainland by way of a 3 kilometres bridge. In total the project has so far cost around $20 billion, but has already saved some expense by surviving both an earthquake and a typhoon in the last 15 years, in addition being open 24 hours a day due to its location.

For those airports situated near the coast, it makes a lot of sense to follow the examples in Japan for a number of reasons. Most importantly environmental impact and space consumption.

However, there are also other innovations to welcome. One of the most intriguing being a Rotating Floating Airport invented by Van Den Noort Innovations BV in Netherlands. As far as we know, the idea hasn’t been realised yet but the concept seems like a good one. The RFA’s main circular body (arrival and departure lounges, transport stations) would sit below sea level. Its base embedded in the sea, whilst the runway platform would float on the water, rotating according to wind direction. In essence the entire structure would resemble a gigantic propeller lodged in the ground, air traffic landing and taking-off on its blades.

Hell on Earth...

This scenery is exist in the middle east country, Uzbekistan. It is near the small town of Darvaz. Locals call it ‘The Door to Hell’.

It started 35 years ago, while Geologists were drilling for gas, when they found a large ravine under ground.

Nobody dare to get down to the ravine since it’s filled full of poisonous gas.

To avoid the gas from coming out and soil the earth, they ignited the gas expecting it to burn out of the poisonous gas.

But the fire is still on, until now. It’s been 35 years this hole has never stop burning, even for while.

Alexandria, Egypt.

Offshore Alexandria, city from the Alexander the Great, laid at the ocean bottom what was trusted as the ruined grandeur rooms of Cleopatra. It was believed that a big earthquake around 1,500 years ago that caused it sank into the sea with all histrorical statues and other parts of Cleopatra’s palace.

Bay of Cambay, India.

Years ago it was found a city that aged of more than 9,500 years old. But the more important thing is that this invention is 5,000 years older from what they ever found in this area, It forced the historian to re-evaluate their explanations about the culture histories at that area. This invention is called Dwarka of City of Gold, named after the old city under the sea owned by God Khrisna.

Kwan Phayao, Thailand.

Actually the 500 years old temple that resides in the bottom of Phayao’s lake is not strange. The strange part is that the lake was purposely newly made 70 years ago.

Yonaguni-Jima, Japan.

Founded by a diving tour guide approximately 20 years ago. Many controversies about the mysterious pyramid that was found in Japan’s offshore. The structure which made from stone was looked like being chiselled using the tools that presumed was not exist at that time in those area.

Havana, Cuba.

A team of scientist is continuing their research about the ruined Megalitic in Yucatan’s straits near Cuba. They found proof that there is a urban settlement couple of miles along coast wise. Some believe that those who ever live there was the old America’s culture.

North Sea, Europe.

Recently a landscape was found in the bottom of North Sea. It was formerly inhabitted by human, approximately 10,000 years ago. Those area was river, lake and ocean which now laid in the bottom part of the sea.

Atlantis, Antartica.

More than 100 years ago, a museum curator in Istanbul found an old map. After did some examination with the map, he found a location that was marked with the line of mountains which the location was where the Antartica’s now presenting. This map is one of so many evidences which proven that Antartica is the missing Atlantis City. The new evidence was the discovery using the sonar technology which shown that there is another structure under Antartica.

Optical Illusion - Dodecahedron

A Dodecahedron is a 12 faced polyhedron with 20 verticals and thirty edges. It's a 3D geometric object. You can see the example in the first image below. The optical illusion behind this installment is obvious only when you see the second photo. Dodecahedron Optical Illusion is composed of a bunch of random floating chunks of wood. As they appear to be randomly spread around the area, when viewed from the correct angle they form a perfect Dodecahedron. More precisely, this installment is created from dozens of seemingly random positioned parts that obtain cohesive structure only when viewed from certain angle. Bunch of similar examples can be found on this site. Starting from Felice Varini's circles, all the way to Bicycle Installment and that strange installment from Hungary. I'm not quite sure who is the artist behind this amazing illusion, but if you find some info, be sure to share through comments.

Once again Mighty Optical Illusions website proudly brings new optical illusion that hopefully will become as famous as the Spinning Girl did in the past. Remember when we first posted Spinning Girl illusion, it was later reposted on all the famous websites across the internet. The artwork was created by Peter 'Def' Oksbjerre, and the flash work was enhanced by Miguel Ortiz, and later by Anthony J. Foreman. I thank all three of you guys for your time. Now the illusion works like this: watch the spinning man, and you'll see him spin in one direction, but as soon as he rotates for 180 degrees, you'll see the switch in the direction of his movement, and he will spin differently. Let's see how long does it take for big websites to find this illusion and write about it. This is a Fire Rainbow.

The rarest of all naturally occurring atmospheric phenomena.

The picture was captured on the Idaho / Washington border. The event lasted about 1 hour.
Clouds have to be cirrus, at least 20K feet in the air, with just the right amount of ice crystals and the sun has to hit the clouds at precisely 58 degrees.

Mirror Tic Tac Toe Illusion

Now this one is eye-candy! One of the first games I ever learned to play as a child was Tic Tac Toe. We call this game differently here in Croatia, but if you translated the meaning literally, it would be "Crosses and Circles". Mirror Tic Tac Toe by Peleg Design is a rad little optical illusion board game with half O's and X's that only are complete when put in play. I'm not exactly sure weather you see the O's and X's correctly if you look at the board under different, more extreme angle, but Sahar Peleg surely created very interesting and innovative approach to this game.

Shahar Peleg is a multi-disciplined designer, who designs, develops and produces commercial products in small quantities. Shahar designs every-day objects with additional values which give them a fresh character. His experimentation with optical illusions and “magic” result in smart and surprising products that challenge the spectator to take a closer, more detailed look. His products are characterized by minimalist form and with the use of ordinary materials, usually produced in “low tech” production processes and at times even handmade.

Eggs mark the spot in the town of Leeuwarden in the Netherlands.

These sunny-side-up creations are the work of Dutch artist Henk Hofstra.

His Art-Eggcident is open to all in the town’s Wilhelmina Square.

The eight fried eggs have a diameter of 7.5 meters.

Some have a bulging yolk 2.3 meters high.

Members of the public have come out of their shell to engage with the artworks.

The eggs will fry in the sun for the next six months..

.. while breakfast lovers get to admire his extraordinary talent.

Hostra’s eggs follow another exhibition that brightened up Dutch streets.

Moleneind in Drachten was sprayed as part of the Blue Road project.

Four thousand litres of paint were used to cover a kilometre of road.

The creation formed an urban river and traced the path of a waterway that used to run where the road now is.

The slogan ‘Water Is Life’ was written on the road in 8m-high letters.

Hostra said it would provide fun for users of Google Earth..

...a Hidden Horses Illusion! Bet you didn't saw this one coming. Today I bring you all new optical illusion, the type you have never seen before! Your assignment is to spot as many hidden horses in this fabulous image below. How many did you find? How long did it take? Yes, for those of you who are still not sure, there was an irony in my voice. I'm a little fed up with all these hidden horses by now. The authors should already run of them, if someone asks me. Still, it's a regular optical illusion, nice looking as well, and it would be a shame not to post it. I just hope this is the last one! If you have a spare time, you can help me gather all the horse illusions from this website, and point to them inside your comments. This way we'll see how many there were exactly, and we'll have them all in one place. My bet is a roundish number, something like 20 or so.

Man builds full scale F1 Car from 956,000 matchsticks.

Michael Arndt is a man of matchsticks. Over the course of six years, using 956,000 matchsticks, 1686 tubes of glue, and at least three different varieties of mustache, he built a full-scale replica of a McLaren 4/14 F1 Car at a cost around 6,000 Euro ($8,725). The giant model takes up Arndt’s entire kitchen and probably his social life. It can be broken down into 45 parts for easy transport to various matchstick-builders conventions.

What you can see in this post is an innovative guerrilla marketing campaign, done by the advertising company called Saatchi & Saachti. As you probably know, few weeks ago I've posted some naughty billboards done by the same company. The response was huge! This time I bring you Saatchi & Saachti's campaign for Folgers, that has turned some New York City manholes into STEAMING CUPS OF COFFEE! Another innovative example for coffee advertising can be seen on these cups. And another pothole advertising can be seen from these stickers. Choose what you like, but you'll have to love this idea. Just for info, this was done some months ago, but I have learned of it only now, so am posting it with a little delay. Hope you forgive me! Would be nice if they included some sort of coffee aroma, so that the sewer air that is coming from underneath don't make the contra-effect. This would not only be good for their advertising, but would but would in fact cause anti propaganda! What do you think? In the meantime, I'm gonna' fetch myself a cup of coffee!

Corn Palace. can anyone imagine how could one think about such creativity.

Mitchell, South Dakota

Although the “Corn Belt Exposition” began in 1892, the current Corn Palace dates from 1921. Each year, beginning in Spring and completed by the end of September, the exterior of the Corn Palace is stripped and new murals and decorations are applied, using locally grown corn, grain and grasses. Mitchell is considered the center of corn country (the high school sports team are the Kernels, the local radio station is KORN… - you get the idea?) The building is a large auditorium used for city events, including Corn Palace Week at the end of harvest.

The Corn Palace is also referred to as the World’s Largest Bird Feeder. Local pigeons feast on the decorations through the winter.

Designs are created by local artists and depict aspects of life in South Dakota.

Fountain Art : World’s Largest Fountain

Last month, Emaar Properties unveiled a world-class permanent water fountain project with an integral light and sound show for Downtown Burj Dubai. It will be the world’s largest fountain at over 900 ft (275 metres) in length, equivalent to that of over two football fields and it is about 25 per cent larger than The Fountains at Bellagio in Las Vegas in area. Powerful water nozzles will shoot water sprays to heights of over 500 ft (150 metres), equivalent to that of a 50-story building.

The fountains - which are yet to be named - will feature over 6,600 lights and 50 colour projectors that will create a vibrant visual spectrum of over 1,000 different water expressions by shooting 22,000 gallons of water. The total cost to built this is AED 800 million (US$218 million)! This project is expected to draw over 10 million visitors annually.

The fountain on Burj Dubai Lake is more than a visual spectacle that adds to the aesthetics of Downtown Burj Dubai. It is an engineering marvel and will further contribute to Dubai’s rich array of tourist attractions.

The fountain is positioned next to Burj Dubai, the world’s tallest building, and The Dubai Mall, one of the world’s largest shopping and entertainment destinations. As I have said before, these fountains are yet to be named, and a cash prize of $27,225 will be given to the person who suggests the perfect name for this water fountain project.
This fountain project is scheduled to be operational in 2009!

Irene Román found this illusion, while looking for some in Google. She asked us if these two concentric circles below look irregular? "They obviously are", some of you may say. I did as well! Well, since this is optical illusions website - they’re not! This type of visual phenomena is well known to me. I have shared over a dozen of similar variations in the past, haven't I? But this one probably shares the strongest effect! When I look at it up close, I understand that they are regular, but still have trouble seeing them regular as a whole. Nifty, ayeh? Amazing Stripped Icebergs....
Icebergs in the Antarctic area sometimes have stripes, formed by layers of snow that react to different conditions.
Blue stripes are often created when a crevice in the ice sheet fills up with meltwater and freezes so
quickly that no bubbles form.
When an iceberg falls into the sea, a layer of salty seawater can freeze to the underside.
If this is rich in algae, it can form a green stripe.
Brown, black and yellow lines are caused by sediment, picked up when the ice sheet grinds downhill towards the sea.

Smoking is bad! It shortens your life, takes your energy and gives you smelly breath. I know all this, but am still not able to quit. Well, maybe I'll smarten up one day - hopefully soon. In the mean time, I bring you this set of photos that were produced for Camel. Maybe sharing these make me sort of a hypocrite, but what can I say - they have some pretty original campaign. When I saw these pictures for the first time I’ve immediately thought at the amazing 3D chalk drawings done by Julian Beever ( see his works here ). What you can see in these pictures is a brilliant new take on house decoration, and I’m sure that that my readers would want to admire these pictures. This guy does an amazing job, but unfortunately the work of this one mystery man has been floating all around the internet for some time now, but does anyone know his name, or something about him. Mirror Art - The Wooden Mirror

	interactive artist daniel rozin works in a very particular artistic milieu, making mirrors from unreflective surfaces. one of his creations, 'the wooden mirror' is a testament to his skill in this area. the mirror uses 830 square pieces of wood which are hooked up to an equal number of small motors which move the wooden blocks according to a built in camera. the camera picks up movement in light and somehow transfers the signal to the wood. the result is an eerie representation of reality depicted in tiny wooden pixels. since building 'the wooden mirror' rozin has experimented with a number of other materials. http://www.smoothware.com/danny via fun forever

Floating Ecopolis for Climate Refugees

According to the less alarming forecasts of the GIEC (Intergovernmental group on the evolution of the climate), the ocean level should rise from 20 to 90 cm during the 21st Century with a status quo by 50 cm (versus 10 cm in the 20th Century). As a solution to this alarming problem architect Vincent Callebaut came up with this ecotectural marvel that could serve as a luxurious future retreat for 50,000 inhabitants seeking refuge from rising waters due to global warming. He believes the world will be desperately seeking shelter from the devastations of climate change, and hopes the auto-sufficient amphibious city will serve as a luxurious solution. To bad that right now we are close to 7 billion people and this luxurious future retreat is just for 50,000 inhabitants ( just for rich people ).

Vincent Callebaut called this project “Lilypad“, but this ecotectural marvel is also called as “Floating Ecopolis for Climate Refugees”. The whole structure is covered in green walls and roofs, the top portion covered in grasses with the inner portion featuring a palm oasis, and the under portion serving as a bed for natural sea planktons and oceanic plants. Finally if you were already planning to reserve a place to this luxurious future retreat stay calm, because Vincent Callebaut hopes that “Floating Ecopolis for Climate Refugees” will make the transition from design to reality around the year 2100.

Through a little study I have learned that spot the object illusions like this one below receive highest rankings from my audience. I thought after a while you'll become sick of them, but I forgot that you aren't the ones that have to look at them daily for over 2 years. This is probably the reason you weren't affected by them yet. Like the hidden horses, that were posted recently for the millionth time, this article bares the similar name. Only this time hidden animals are wolves and polar bears. Like we never talked about them earlier, yeah right. But there are some other "things" to spot if you look more closely. It shouldn't be to hard after all experience we gathered. Do you bare with me on this one? My belief is that similar illusions are still popular because of search-game they involve, giving them some kind of "quest" atmosphere, as well as their artistic looks.

Oh, concerning yesterday's post - I would like to thank Doug and the other person that shared info on Elance with me, helping me in my goal of hiring coworkers for this website. I still need few more answers on my questions from previous post. Anyone can help? Now go, and study this spot the object painting!
