I finally finished it! It arrived just in time at my parents in law's house for their Wedding Anniversary.

I ended up winging it with my own interpretation of the edging, and did a pom pom style trim.

Here are some pics, I don't think I cleaned my lens properly, the photos look slightly fuzzy!

Hi there!

I've not taken part in a Crochet Along before (CAL for short) but this one has really taken my fancy!

A friend introduced me to the Facebook group last week. It is being organised by Black Sheep Wools in collaboration with Sandra from the Cherry Heart blog.

Here are the colours I have choosen (they were selected for a different project, however decided I wanted to do this instead!)

I've finally got round to doing something I have been meaning to do for ages!

List my Ombre Crocheted Granny Square Blanket on Etsy...

Over the years I have loved making these for friends, sometimes for their babies, or their wedding present or special birthday celebrations.

I make them using three strands of wool at a time, adding a colour and dropping a colour as I need to to get the ombre effect I love.

I'm making another ombre blanket. About half way there. Just wanted to document my thought process for how I choose colours. Sometimes the colour scheme takes on a life of it's own. I find it gets very addictive as I can't wait to add the next colour to see what effect it will make.

This blanket is being crocheted with two strands of double knit acrylic yarn with a size eight hook. Each colour combo is crocheted over two rows before dropping and adding a colour.

Made this a few months ago for an old friend and his partner and little girl to snuggle into. I tried to get hints from pictures he had on Facebook if the colour scheme in their home.

This one was finished last week for a friend who has just given birth. I knew it was going to be a boy so choose spring boyish colours.

Ethan couldn't resist a snuggle in it!

Got this gorgeous book in the post from my sister today. I love amazon wish lists... it means I get something I like for birthdays. Btw my bday was last month - before you start singing!

Chicken, broccoli, pesto and cheese buns

Made the enriched dough recipe for my bread machine, used 3oz wholewheat flour and 6oz of white. Mixed 300gr shredded chicken, handful of cooked broccoli, 2 tbsp pesto, and handful of grated cheese together. Rolled out the dough into a rectangle. Spread out the mixture. Roll up and slightly pull. Sprinkle some flour around the roll. Cut into 8 pieces and public in a warm place to rise for 20mins. Put in iven and switch on to 200/gm6. Cook for approx 30 mins. Check after 20 mins.

Allow to cool down before ripping apart and devouring heartily.

I made this in May for a dear friend's little girl. I wanted to give her something that would be practical and pretty, and also something I hope she'll like when she's older. The pattern can be found {here} on a fab crocheting blog called Apple Blossom Dreams. There is even a Youtube tutorial if you need it.

Really pleased how the picot edging turned out (I made it up myself, don't ask me how!)

Made this bunting for a friend.

I love this owl punch from Stampin' Up. I was commissioned to make a baby boy card for a friend (that's not scribble on the name plate, I just blanked it out a bit). The lace border punch is also from Stampin Up, ooh and the pearls! I can't stop using them!

I couldn't resist this very pretty paper pad from Scrap Revolution, click on picture to take you to their website.

The paper is so detailed that I only used a little bit for each card. I think I'll have made four cards out of one sheet of 6x6!

Sorry I've not been blogging much of late. Been having lots of busy days with the school holidays and doing some classes. I don't know if you remember, but a while ago I was choosen to be a guest designer for Scrap Revolution. I had a lovely package of paper, buttons, lace, chipboard letters and card stock sent to me last month. So I have also been busy working on three items that will soon be revealed on their blog.
