Article Samurai Review Article Samurai Re-Launches This Friday!

One of the great things about Article Samurai is the fact that it is deceptively simple.  In the Internet Marketing world simple sometime equates to “doesn’t work”.  There seem to be a lot of folks who like the techie aspect of software, and I used to be the same way.  Unfortunately for the techies there’s a lot of things that go on in the background of Article Samurai that you just don’t see.

With that in mind the guys over at Noble Samurai decided to do a little webinar to explain a little more about the software and answer some questions.  I attended the webinar and took down some notes.  I think it will clear up a few things for you.

Can I Get A List Of URL’s For My Articles?

One of the first questions that has been asked is if  you get a copy or file with all the url’s of the articles that were submitted.  Unfortunately the short answer is no.

Article Samurai submits to several different networks and each one of them does a hand review before syndicating them.  Right now it’s just not possible to get a list of article url’s, although they did mention that they would work on adding that into an update in the future.

Is 30% Uniqueness Enough?

We’ll first of all in my experience 30% uniqueness of an article is enough.  Spinning more than that tends to end up with a lot more gibberish to clean up and it’s really a pain in the ass to check the article.  30% is enough to make the article different enough for the big G anyway.

Why Does Article Samurai Only Produce Three Spins?

That is correct.  Article Samurai does only show three spins which allows you to check the readability of the articles after you spin them.  However there is a random button just below the three spin buttons that produce more variations of your article.  On the back end Article Samurai spins the article even more by interchanging paragraghs  between articles.  This allows for a lot more unique content.  Plus you don’t have to so it yourself.

How Do They Check For Article Uniqueness?

In Article Samurai you can check for the uniqueness of an article.  This is pretty awesome if you outsource your article writing.  They use a process called shingling which is the same as Copyscape.  I have no idea how the process works so don’t ask.

Why Can You Only Choose One Category In Article Samurai?

Yes.  Article Samurai only gives you the option to choose one category per article.  They do, however, use more categories on the back end.  They take the category you pick and then use that to pick relevant categories before syndication.  I imagine it’s specific to the network that the article is being submitted to.

Why Do Some Articles Take A Week To Syndicate And Others Take Two Days?

One of the things you’ll find is in the Syndication tab in Article Samurai your articles will show that they have been syndicated to all the networks after about two days.  This happens to be a flaw in the system updates.  They pretty much said no matter what the software say’s the articles get syndicated over about 60 days.

The system is easy, but unfortunately that can give the impression that it’s not working.  I think people are conditioned to having to jump through hoops to get an article syndicated.(Not that other pieces of software don’t work.  I still use them.)  I think that’s the beauty of it.  There’s a lot done on the back end, and to me that makes this software so powerful.

Many of you may be looking for some Alternatives to Article Samurai.  Either you weren’t able to get one of the first 500 spots, or you just didn’t want to fork out the cash.  Either way that’s OK.  There are still plenty of great article marketing software and article submission sites out there.  Today I’m going to take you through a few that I’ve had experience with as well as a couple that were recommended to me by people I trust.

Spinner Chief

Spinner Chief is actually a good little spinner that has a free version.  The interface is simple and you have a decent thesaurus.  Of course with the paid version you get a lot more features like article scraping, spinning, and submitting.  They’ve got a few different payment tiers.  I’ve only used the free version on about 20 articles and it has worked well.  I can’t attest to how well the paid features do.

Content Boss

Content Boss is a pretty nifty little article spinner.  It actually comes with Article Samurai.  I would have to say that I never used it before purchasing Article Samurai, but it was recommended to me by one of my mentors.

I know they’re is a lot of bad publicity out there about the spinner from a couple years ago, but based on my current experience I think it does a great job.  It’s pretty much spins your content automatically.  Of course you’ll have to make a few changes here and there, but I’ve been impressed so far.

Article Syndication

Article Marketing Robot

If you are looking for Article Syndication Software without a monthly fee then Article Marketing Robot is the way to go.  It post to both article directories and blog plus the network is being updated constantly.  They have a new version in beta right now and it’s definitely much faster.  I still use AMR in conjunction with Article Samurai.

Unique Article Wizard

Unique Article Wizard has been a staple among article marketing since it’s inception.  It’s distributes to a network of Article Directories as well as blogs.  To date the UAW network produces awesome results.  Oddly enough I’ve heard that the UAW network is a part of Article Samurai.  Not sure if this is true or not, but it would make the price of Article Samurai less of an issue.

Price: $67 per month

That’s it.  Rather than overwhelm you with tons of options, because there are a lot of options, I wanted to just give you a few of my recommendations.  I think these are the best of the best when it comes to article marketing.  If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Article Samurai Review Alternatives to Article Samurai

So most of you know that Article Samurai was release yesterday.  Well actually there was a pre-release the day before, that’s how I was able to get the “A Quick First Look At The Article Samurai Software” post up so quickly.  I had a little bit of a head start.  Since that video I’ve had more of a chance to go through the software and test different aspects.  There are some things I like and of course some things that could be better.  So lets dig in to the Article Samurai Review.

When you first open up Article Samurai you are going to see a screen like this:

It’s a pretty basic screen that lists all of your current projects, which is exactly like Market Samurai.  In fact the first four modules in Article Samurai are just like it.  If you want to play around with the modules to get familiar with it you can go here to get a Free Trial of Market Samurai if you don’t have it already.

Let’s take a look at the modules in Article Samurai on an individual level.

The five modules are:

• Rank Tracker
• Keyword Research
• SEO Competition
• Find Content
• Syndicate Article

Article Samurai Rank Tracker

The Article Samurai Rank Tracker is one of the features I really like about the software, but it needs some improvement.  Probably the coolest part about the this module is the fact that it automatically takes the Anchor Text Keywords in your articles and tracks them.  So when you set up a project and add your domain to the rank track it will keep your results for the keywords that you are targeting with your articles.  This is a great idea on the part of the Noble Samurai team to add this into the software.

The downside to this module in Article Samurai is that it lumps all your keywords from all of the campaigns into the module.  For example;

I have a campaign for keywords relating to Funny T-Shirts and I write 5 articles targeting 5 keywords.  I can track those with the rank tracker in Article Samurai.  Let’s say I also have a campaign for keywords relating to Article Samurai.  When I open up my t-shirt campaign and check my rank tracker not only do I see the keywords for the targeted campaign, but I also see the keywords for my other campaigns.

To me it would make more sense to keep them separate similar to the way Market Samurai handles it.

Aside from that the module is good.

Keyword Research Module

This module is, well…, it’s the keyword research module.  It’s the exact same as Market Samurai.  There’s not much to say about it except it just works.  Having it inside Article Samurai makes a nice addition.

SEO Competition Research Module

This is one of my favorite modules from Market Samurai.  Not only can you asses your competitions numbers you can also use it to see where their back links are coming from.  With this and the keyword research module in the Article Samurai module I can see myself using Market Samurai a little less after the initial keyword research for a new project.

Find Content Module

This is another module from Market Samurai.  This is a powerful module that I think is under used.  Everybody gets writers block.  Heck I get it daily along with about 500 other distractions.  It’s so bad that I just pay someone else to write articles for me.  This module will help get the idea juices flowing.  It’s a natural addition to Article Samurai.

Syndicate Article Module

The syndicate article module is the bread and butter of Article Samurai.  The rest is just the Jam, Jelly or Vegemite if you’re one of my Ozzy friends.  The folks at Noble Samurai have said it’s one of the “easiest” article syndication platforms on the market.  I’d say they’re pretty much right on target.

With Article Samurai your be submitting your article to over 50,000 Article Directories and Blog Networks.

One of the things I really love about it is that there’s really no distractions.  You don’t have to worry about signing up for article directories, or captcha’s, or POP3 emails, or anything like that.  It’s all handled in the background.

Article Spinning

They also have partnered with Content Boss to do the spinning.  It’s a nice feature and the spins are very readable.  I’ve had to make about three total changes to the spins in my articles, and I’ve spun about seven articles so far.  Not too bad.  They are all spun to about 30%+ uniqueness, which is a good number.

The one draw back to the Content Boss spinning is that you only get 50 spins per month with the ability to purchase more if you need it.  However if you were to purchase Content Boss separately it would be $30 per month and you’d still only get 50 spins a month.

I did run into a little bit of a snag on one article and the auto spin feature would only spin the Title and the Resource Box.  My main article didn’t spin.  I ended up wasting about 5 of my allotted auto-spins trying to get it to work.

I ended up contacting Noble Samurai and they are straitening it out and are crediting me the lost spins.  (They have kick ass support)

Duplicate Content Checker

The duplicate content checker is a great feature especially if you are used to paying a monthly fee for something like Copyscape.  This is a great tool if you outsource your article like myself.

Importing Articles

Another cool feature is the ability to import previously spun articles.  Some folks like to spin their own articles, or they just don’t like the way Content Boss spins them.  You’re covered.

Syndication

After you’ve written and spun an article, or imported a spun article, you’re ready to syndicate it.  The nice thing is they have a little check list in place to let you know what you may be missing.  In the syndication screen you’ll be able to enter the author name and select a category.  Article Samurai can use the tags you use for your article to help select the correct category.

It really is as easy as Write, Spin, Add Links, Syndicate.

Manual Review

Once you hit syndicate the article goes for a manual review.  This is a check measure to make sure the article is up to par.  Once it passes through the manual review then it syndicates out over a 30-90 day period to give a steady natural layer of back links.

What I Don’t Like About this Module

One of the things I don’t like about this module is the fact that all your article from all of your projects are lumped into one.  Just like the Rank Tracker Module, I don’t necessarily want to see my Funny T-Shirt articles when I’m working on my Article Samurai Project.  This may just be me though.

Price

How much does it cost you ask?  We’ll right now it’s not for sale, but I’ve been told and so has everybody else that it’s going to be $127 for Market Samurai owners. (You can get a Free Trial Here)  If you are not a Market Samurai owner they say it’s going to be $197.  Maybe, maybe not.

The Bottom Line

Here’s the deal.  At the $127/month price point and up this product is for people who are serious about their online business.  I believe they priced it that way for a reason.  A higher price keeps most of the spammers out as well as the problem customers.

I’m personally willing to pay for it if I see results, and only time will tell.  I believe the folks at Noble Samurai shot themselves in the foot by not offering Market Samurai at a monthly price point.  Especially with the amount of work and updates it takes to keep up with Google.  So I can justify the higher price here.  It’s a solid product.

If you are just starting out this is definitely a tool I’d recommend for ease of use.  Make sure you are able to swing the price point first.  And if you are a veteran, well, there’s a 30 money back guarantee.  Try it for yourself and you be the judge.

I realize not everybody was able to get in on the first wave.  I’ll be updating this site as I find out more info on when they’ll be releasing the product again.  Until then make sure you subscribe to the Blog or Newsletter.
