This is a photo of our new studio and gallery space next door. Like pirates taking over a sinking ship we jumped on board of the vacant warehouse next door and turned it into a working studio and gallery. Unlike pirates, we patched the ship and got it floating again. We stripped the floors, added lighting, hung art, brought in supplies, and are dishing out treasure by the boatload.

This photo shows a couple of our custom acrylic "Darren" Barstools being built for a client. We think about every detail when we design our furniture. For this project we actually spent hours researching the correct swivels and bought several different versions before finding one that would allow the correct movement with the right amount of effort.

The Manhattan Table

We love this hand made acrylic and mahogany table. The Manhattan Table's base is made from expertly crafted and perfectly finger jointed mahogany with a 2" thick acrylic top that is cut around the supporting legs. This look combines old world craftsmanship and material with beautiful acrylic. This table now resides in Santa Monica, CA. Susan Deneau said she will send photos as soon as the room is finished. I hope so, I miss seeing it in our showroom.

Custom Painted Furniture

We just finished with about 50 pieces of custom furniture for a telecommunications powerhouse in Malaysia. They wanted us to create some fun, modern, acrylic furniture for their corporate office. We took a ton of photos but I will just give you a peak for now. (They are being shipped across the Pacific and we can't show them off before they see them.)

Our lead craftsman Ed has been working with plastics for over 39 years. That is a lot of experience and knowledge! I know that after you graduate you learn more in the first six months of a profession than you did in the entire four (or in some of our cases nine) years of college. Needless to say, Ed has learned a lot. It is amazing to watch such a skilled craftsman work with a material as familiar to him as his own hands. While many acrylic manufacturers cannot bend thicknesses over 1" I have seen Ed bend 2" like superman with a steel beem. Maybe we should get him a cape.

Here is a photo of some rings being painted for a retail display project. We paint them with a full auto-quality paint set up. This gold paint is so realistic looking that we wanted to paint everything gold until we realized that the paint is over $300 a gallon.
