Biography. Terry Rodgers is an internationally recognized artist who has worked and lived in Massachusetts, Washington, DC, and Ohio.His first solo European museum exhibition opened May, 2009. In addition, his work has been represented in numerous museum group exhibitions in Europe between 2006 and 2009. In 2007, his work appeared in Art Basel. And in 2005, three of his monumental figurative canvases were presented at the Valencia Biennial.Abroad he has had solo exhibitions in galleries in Amsterdam, Zurich, and Milan, andparticipated in group shows around the world. He will have an upcoming exhibition in Brussels in 2009. In the United States, he has had solo gallery exhibitions in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Chicago.Over the past few years, he has also exhibited at numerous museums in the US including the Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville, theBakersfield Museum of Art, the Erie Art Museum, the Mobile Museum of Art, and the Midwest Museum of American Art. Abroad, his work has been exhibited at the Stedelijk Museum-Hertogenbosch, the Kunsthalle der Hypo-Kulturstiftung in Munich, the Museum Franz Gertsch in Burgdorf, the Museum Folkwang in Essen, the Scheringa Museum of Realist Art in Spanbroek and at the Kunsthal Rotterdam.Terry’s new book, Terry Rodgers — Dimensions of Ambiguity, was released in May 2009. Terry Rodgers — The Apotheosis of Pleasure, was released in December 2006. Both books were published by TORCH Books of Amsterdam. Also, Rodgers has been featured in numerous publications in America and abroad including Die Welt, Art in America, Citizen K, German GQ, Kunstbeeld, Arte, Art and FLAUNT to name a few.
Rodgers’ current work focuses on portraying contemporary body politics. His rendering of the upper-class leisure life stands as an iconic vision of today’s society. The resulting paintings are not snapshots or slices of life, not verite records of actual moments in actual party or family situations, or diaristic records of his life, but carefully constructed and composited fictions, designed to elicit the most meaning and sustain the maximum amount of ambiguity. Terry Rodgers attended Amherst College, with a major in the Fine Arts. His strong interest in film and photography influenced his style in the direction of representational realism in art.

В период 1992-1996 г.г. индивидуально занимался живописью, скульптурой, декоративной пластикой, фотографией. И уже первыми своими работами шокировал неподготовленного зрителя. На сегодняшний день является культовым художником.
Человеческую сущность он изучал поэтапно, и каждый этап нашел отражение в его работах, - скульптуре, живописи, фотографии. Сначала это была анатомия - медицинская и пластическая. Следующий этап - психология Фрейда, что позволяло манипулировать сознанием зрителя. Затем был период увлечения эзотерикой.
В 1998 году он первый раз попробовал сделать эскиз живописной картины с помощью компьютера и фотографии. Это было так увлекательно, открывался такой простор для творчества, что уже остановиться было сложно. И когда количество "эскизов" превысило критическую отметку, хороший друг - фотограф - посоветовал послать работы на фотосалон. В результате Максим стал золотым медалистом международного фотосалона (Сибирь 2000 в Новосибирске). Потом были другие салоны, другие золотые награды, включая престижный FIAP.
Результат его достижений – множество работ в частных коллекциях США, Японии, Германии, Европы. Стартовая стоимость его работ - 2500 $.

Autobiography:I was born the 2nd of April in 1977 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.Self-taugth photographer and digital artist, I started to have interest in photography when I was 16 and I began to experiment whit digital techniques in Adobe Photoshop when I was 25.I love manipulating images in order to create a surrealist stile and I am totally convinced that Adobe Photoshop is the most wonderful tool invented to reach that results.Nowadays, I compete in the most important national and international photo contest such as Spain, Austria, France, EEUU, Poland and Argentina; and I have received many awards and acceptance all over the world.I have made photos for CD's covers and I also have had numerous publications in many photography magazines and catalogues, and I have participated in world fairs in Europe and Argentina.My works was created with Adobe Photoshop cs2 I used plugins and art paintbrushes in order to achieve a more surrealist stile. In addition, I used different color layers so as to join all the shades of the photo equally.

BIOGRAPHY
Alessandro Bavari was born in Latina, a coastal town south of Rome, Italy, on april 1963.
Grown up in an italo-french family, he was early attracted by artistic matters and decided to attend art college, where he began making photomontages at the age of 15.
Then, he studied scenography, photography, history of art and various other topics at the Academy of Fine Arts, in Rome, where he developped strong grounding in the techniques of oil, watercolours and engraving, while experimenting at the same time methods mixing tar, glue, industrial paint and exploring photographic printing techniques.
During these years, he took the habit of making numerous photographs everywhere he goes : human and animal matters, objects and architecture, pictures and landscapes, fossils and materials, which join his mental museum, also strongly influenced by indo-european cultural myths and allegories as well as 14th and 15th century artists.
Since 1993, he adds digital manipulation to his art, developping a personal artistic language using industrial and organic products from nature before incorporating photographic process, then computer digitalization, which leads to "a kind of contamination among the arts dissolving the boundaries which distinguish them".

Born in Poland , baby boomer generation.Therefore - as famous Wankowicz`s saying goes : he is as old as everyone else.In Cracow he studied drawing , painting and graphics. With a natural born vigor for music he became a drummer , but never ceased to be a dreamer. He plays drums for 20 year.This gives him an additional income and a chance to dedicate more of his time to art, mainly graphic and portrait.Then - in the attic of his grandparents house - he " discovered " PHOTOGRAPHY " and fell in love with it. Taking matters more seriously , his photography focused on portrait and MICRO-exposition.Ever since modern technology has come to his aid,he eagerly used computer graphics in this composition. You can find his workin Cracow (his adopted home )or in Rome ( his first destination of emigration ), in New York ( the second nest )and finally in Toronto - semingly the final destination.Plesently Orzechowski exhibits his photography at the 12 most importend Net galleries in the world. Through his career, Andreas H. Bitesnich (b. Austria 1964) has given the world perfectly crafted images celebrating the human form touched with a fragrance of eroticism.
Andreas H. Bitesnich is a perfectionist “the only way to fly higher than the others“, as he expresses it. By his own admission, he lives, breathes, devours photography; he learns, explores, experiments. Self-taught, he dreamed at a young age of becoming a fashion photographer. To pursue his dream, he equipped himself with a camera and a light and persuaded models to pose. In his subjects, he was looking for harmony and balance yet tension was an important ingredient too. As he puts it, “The (images) belong to an organic creative process that has to do with the fascination for the relation between body, time and space in a continual interaction of tension and balance“. Oftentimes he found what he was looking for when the models posed undressed which allowed him to capture the bodies surprisingly well with the play of light and shadow.
Andreas H. Bitesnich’s approach has always been to allow for and trust his intuition. He feels it important to interact with his models to gain an appreciation of who they are before turning the camera upon them. His respect of personalities unearths the subjects most beautiful side which becomes central to the power visible within his images. Combined with a mastery of technique, this style gives Andreas H. Bitesnich the tools to achieve the exact image he envisions.
Unsurprisingly, Bitesnich’s nude portraits soon caught the attention of top European magazines and consequently images were published in Stern, Playboy, Max and GQ, to name a few commercial projects followed. The quality of his work quickly established Bitesnich as a top photographer.
In 1998, Edition Stemmle published his first book‚ “Nudes”.
In the same year, it won the Kodak Photography Book Award.
In 2001, publisher teNeues released‚ “Woman” and “Travel”, and a fourth title “On Form” in 2003. His fifth book “Polanude”, a collection of his best Polaroid’s, was released in February 2006..

"I like photography maybe since elementary school. I love to phototograph while my brothers/sister were love being photographed. Actually I like a visual art. So I entered graphic art faculty (Polytechnic of Indonesia) where I started to know photography theory and SLR use I have my first SLR in 1995 (Two Nikon FM2 bodies and 5 lenses). Economic crisis in Indonesia had stopped my photographic activity in 1998. Then I start again in 2001 until I change my analog equipment to digital in 2004. I have EOS 350D and 4 lenses.
In the first time in photography, I am in love with Journalistic photography. This maybe because I work in newspaper (as a graphic designer). But now, 2 things that I love to photograph: Human and nature. Sometimes I photograph only human or only nature, but most of my photograph are mixing those two thing: Human and their environment. 2 kind objects is the most popular in my country. My formula for my photography with this 2 kind objects is “Pepole love photo that almost similar to paintings, while people also love paintings similar like a photo.” This formula is maybe simple but I belive that most people in the world would enjoy it. This only can reach in digital photography. So I mix my abilty in Photography technic and editing technic (Photoshop) that I learned in almost 15 years (about 1992).
Now, my photos are in some commercial use in Indonesia and some countries. I have my profiles in some media in my country and other countries. What can make me happy if the more people can enjoy my photos in the world. And I can share my beautiful country and beautiful people around me."

Photographer. Born Anna-Lou Leibovitz, on October 2, 1949, in Westbury, Connecticut. She was one of the six children born to Sam, an Air Force lieutenant, and Marilyn Leibovitz, a modern dance instructor. In 1967, Leibovitz enrolled at the San Francisco Art Institute, where (although initially studying painting) she developed a love for photography.
After living briefly on an Israeli kibbutz, Leibovitz returned to the U.S., in 1970, and applied for a job with the start-up rock music magazine Rolling Stone. Impressed with Leibovitz’s portfolio, editor Jann Wenner offered her a job as a staff photographer. Within two years, the 23-year-old Leibovitz was promoted to chief photographer—a title she would hold for the next 10 years. Her position with the magazine afforded her the opportunity to accompany the Rolling Stones band on their 1975 international tour.
While with Rolling Stone, Leibovitz developed her trademark technique, which involved the use of bold primary colors and surprising poses. Wenner has credited her with making many Rolling Stone covers collector's items, most notably an issue that featured a nude John Lennon curled around his fully clothed wife, Yoko Ono. Taken on December 8, 1980, Leibovitz’s photo of the former Beatle was shot just hours before his death.
In 1983, Leibovitz left Rolling Stone and began working for the entertainment magazine Vanity Fair. With a wider array of subjects, Leibovitz’s photographs for Vanity Fair ranged from presidents to literary icons to teen heartthrobs. To date, a number of Vanity Fair covers have featured Leibovitz’s stunning—and often controversial—portraits of celebrities. Demi Moore (very pregnant and very nude) and Whoopi Goldberg (half-submerged in a bathtub of milk) are among the most remembered actresses to grace the cover in recent years. Known for her ability to make her sitters become physically involved in her work, one of Leibovitz’s most famous portraits is of the late artist Keith Haring, who painted himself like one of his canvases for the photo.
During the late 1980s, Leibovitz started to work on a number of high-profile advertising campaigns. The most notable was the American Express “Membership” campaign, for which her portraits of celebrity cardholders, like Elmore Leonard, Tom Selleck, and Luciano Pavarotti, earned her a 1987 Clio Award.
In 1991, Leibovitz’s collection of over 200 color and black-and-white photographs were exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C. In 1996, Leibovitz was chosen as the official photographer of the Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. Widely considered one of America’s best portrait photographers, Annie Leibovitz published the book Women (1999), which was accompanied by an essay by friend and novelist Susan Sontag. With its title subject matter, Leibovitz presented an array of female images from Supreme Court Justices to Vegas showgirls to coal miners and farmers. Currently, many of her original prints are housed in various galleries throughout the United States.
In 2005, the Brooklyn Museum of Art did a retrospective on her work entitled "Annie Leibovitz: A Photographer’s Life, 1990–2005." As busy as ever, Annie Leibovitz continues to be in demand as portrait photographer, often capturing arresting images of today’s celebrities.
Annie Leibovitz is the mother of three children. At the age of 51, she had her daughter, Sarah. In 2005, her twin daughters, Susan and Samuelle, were born with the help of a surrogate mother.

Born Heather Sweet on September 28, 1972, in Rochester, Michigan, Dita Von Teese was a performer right from the start. Spotlight Interview … Fashion Photographer Matusciac Alex
JRP: Matusciac Alex is a talented photographer who specializes in fashion. I came across his work while surfing on PhotoNet.com. One can only be impressed as you view his images, which is why I sought an interview with him.
Thanks Matusciac for taking time to answer my request for an interview.
Matusciac Alex: Thank you James for finding my work interesting.
JRP: Where do you call home Matusciac?
Matusciac Alex: I was born in Timisoara, Romania and still live here today.
JRP: Have you had any formal training in photography?
Matusciac Alex: I don’t have any training in photography. The Internet was a very good source for learning, also friends that I’ve made since I started to pursue my photographic vision.
JRP: Matusciac what camera / lighting equipment, and software do you use of in your work flow?
Matusciac Alex: My first camera was a Canon 400D. That was a very good camera for me, and my first lighting kit where two 45w heads with umbrellas. Now I have a Canon 40D with grip.
Lighting to me is the most important thing in photography. I use all kinds of lighting softboxes, beauty dishes, grids, snoots, reflectors, etc. The most important thing is to try to perfectly balance your light in the photo. When you have done that you can start shooting.
Software, I use Lightroom for raw processing then Photoshop for retouching.
JRP: I first became aware of your work on PhotoNet.com. Do you have any other sites where you participate in as a member?
Matusciac Alex: On PhotoNet I have the most pictures and I’m active on a few photography forums, Fotodigital.ro, fototarget.ro, foto-magazin.ro, and deviantart.com.
JRP: What about fashion attracts you as a photographer?
Matusciac Alex: First I like working with people. Fashion is a domain that has no limits when it comes to creativity so you also have to be very careful about aesthetics.
JRP: Besides fashion what other areas of photography interest you?
Matusciac Alex: Any area that includes people and conceptual thought. Commercial, film, nudes, and so on.
JRP: Matusciac I saw the images of your studio facility and it looks wonderful. I noticed that you also have it available for rental to other photographers. Has this aspect worked well for you and other photographers?
Matusciac Alex: Yes this appears to be great but unfortunately the studio is in Timisoara and there is not so much work to do. Believe it or not no one calls me about studio renting. I’m planning to move this year and investigate other places.
JRP: Take us through some of your thought processes as you prepare your lighting for a photo session. What is most important about your lighting style, and what do you want it to convey to the viewer of your images?
Matusciac Alex: In the studio I just put my light with the model in a position trying to achieve a graphic shape that fits the picture frame. Not thinking about the picture itself. When your shape is good and balanced as a graphic then the light on your model is good. I also move some lights and put in others to change the mood as we go along with the shoot. I don’t have a flash meter and I don’t see the use of that for digital. If I start shooting on film I will buy one. Remember there are ways to check exposure with a digital camera body.
JRP: What is your workflow like in your digital darkroom?
Matusciac Alex: I shoot raw. First I copy my pictures from the card to the harddrive and burn a DVD for back-up. Next, I import the RAWs into LightRoom and a rating process takes place. I continue rating the images using a star designation until I arrive at my final selections. Those make it out into the world. All pre-processing is done in Lightroom, white balance, exposure, toning, etc. Retouching is done in Photoshop if needed.
JRP: Technique or vision, which is most important to you?
Matusciac Alex: The two are just like one in photography. It’s useless if you have a vision and your technique is so bad that you can not capture it as you see it in your mind. You can not be good at technique if you learn it mathematically, if you see the light creating shapes and shadows then we are coming back to vision.
JRP: What is the best advice you have received so far about photography?
Matusciac Alex: “Go buy the camera you want so much!” (Talking about my first camera)
JRP: What advice do you have for a new photographer focusing on fashion?
Matusciac Alex: The most important thing in working with people in photography is you. Not the camera, lenses, or equipment. It is how you act in different situations. How you talk. How the person you are shooting “sees” you. The rest … it’s learnable.
