Vintage Violin - oil 6 x 6 inches

Vintage Violin

Catgut strings strap the belly of this old fiddle that my Grannie gave me at 14.

Phyllis Block was my violin teacher in Krugersdorp and she encouraged me to join the

West Rand Symphony Orchestra as one of the second violinists.

As a teenager, I hid a smelly stink bottle under the stage before a rehearsal.

Of course, no one could play after that performance - it was canceled. 👃

Anyway, this little painting can be purchased for $100 Canadian.

It looks quite good I think! <A Ref= "ronjbw@gmail.com">

In fact, she has a flat and needs me to come and fetch her.

That's what Dads are for. We worry about her riding in traffic on her bicycle and

we'll drop everything to come and fetch, bundling her bicycle in my van.

You understand my feeling ..

Oak Bay Harbour 2022

I have settled on a popular theme - boats in a harbour. Brushy images of vessels, done mostly in oils which seems to be my THING, if you know what I mean. Still, it's good for me, and I'm getting followers.

This painting is available, CDN$750 unframed size about 20 x 28 inches,, contact me.

Foxes live in the most unexpected places - on a railway line in England; on an island in Friday Harbor, Washington State - I've seen throughout the years. They look familiar even though they're not next door.

Studio paint - tubes and bottles, loose and spontaneous, no problem - see how fluid the frog looks,

and the colors are right here in my taboret here in my studio, no searching!

I relax when I can find my paints at my fingertips - they are kept right next to me in my desk of drawers - what I call my TABORET. Usually, I keep a set of oils in a separate box for painting outside, en Plein air. This time the acrylic paints are right next to me. Great fun,
