We always try and do what we can, but inevitably can’t always accommodate everybody.

Our broad programme, encompassing performing arts and visual arts, as well as outreach and building based activity, makes it an attractive option for students wanting to pursue a career in the arts.

Many of our programmes are community based and offer more mature students an ideal opportunity to work in a different area to normal University projects. It is also an opportunity to glimpse a future in arts employment, providing both an inspirational experience of the positive impact of the arts as well as understanding of why funders invest.

Clay, fabric and art sessions are taking place at Branston Church Hall on Thursday 9th June, Thursday 23rd June, Thursday 30th June from 10am – 4pm

There will also be sessions at Branston Village Hall on Wednesday 6th, Thursday 7th July &  Wednesday 13th July from 9am – 12.30pm

U.Dance East Midlands through its regional partner organisation Dance4 gathers together all of the best dance groups from around the East Midlands to come together and compete.

kNacKer’d piece looks into the ancient grudge between the two families in Romeo and Juliet by combining Shakespeare’s prologues with characterisation and contemporary dance. To ensure they give their best performance the company are having extra rehearsals and a drama workshop with Rhubarb Theatre Company.

Dances from Distant Lands is a spectacular family show which brings alive the well-loved stories and ancient mythology of India using vibrant traditional dances, storytelling, music, drumming, puppets and masks.

With stunning costumes and original music, this is a show not to be missed! The performance starts at 7pm and lasts for 1 hour 20 minutes. Tickets cost £8, £6 for concessions and £5 for under 18s.

Travels with Grandpa is a story about an eccentric traveller and storyteller extraordinaire! Enter his battered Bedouin tent at the theatre to hear magical tales of adventure in real and imagined worlds.

Enjoy evocative sound, light and exquisite puppetry at a cost of only £5 each or why not book a family ticket (four seats) for £18? The performance starts at 3pm and will run for approximately 50 minutes including time to ‘meet Grandad’ afterwards. Those aged three years and above are invited to be a part of the audience.
