      <title>Columbus Meat Lovers Tour</title>
      <link>http://www.artsinohio.com/event/columbus-meat-lovers-tour-2</link>
<description>Columbus has a lot to offer the carnivore, and not just in the form of its juicy burgers and famous sausages. On our Meat Lover's Tour, we'll encounter one of the most creative chefs in the city using farm fresh cuts and innovative preparations, an ethnic cuisine displaying novel uses for a wide range of proteins, and a smokehouse with a long history of preparing European-style smoked and cured meats. We'll finish the tour with one of Columbus most acclaimed restaurants. This event is (self evidently?) far from vegetarian friendly and is a delicious overview of some of the most delicious carnivorous delights to be found in the city!

      <title>Doo Dah Parade + Party</title>
      <link>http://www.artsinohio.com/event/29th-annual-doo-dah-parade</link>
<description>Dare to join irreverent self-styled satirists, partygoers, exhibitionists and overall lost souls in the 34th Annual Doo Dah Parade on the Fourth of July. Sure, you can see politicians waving American flags in just about any run of the mill Independence Day parade. But politicians being required to poke fun at themselves and wear a funny hat? You'll have to go to the annual Doo Dah Parade on July 4th in the Short North Arts District of Columbus to see that. The Doo Dah parade shows "sarcasm at its finest" and celebrates liberty &amp; lunacy.

In past parades people have dressed up in all kinds of silly (and racy) attire, cars decorated in zany ways, super heroes, and funny signs all over the place. For example, a recent float called "Honest Attorneys" that was empty. The Less-Than-Grand Marshall will be driven through the parade route in someone else's dirty car in the midst of a poorly organized "parade".

There's no entry fee and no registration required. There are, however, a few rules to follow, such as no full nudity, no commercialized advertising, no throwing candy or littering the streets with your stupid fliers that nobody wants at a parade, and of course the previously mentioned politicians must wear funny hats rule.

Parade DisOrganizers invite people who think they're funny, and those who honestly admit they are not, to join the fun and march in satire at the Doo Dah Parade. Or for those lacking any creativity, to just sit there and watch everyone else have a good time. Line up at noon, National Anthem at 1:00 p.m., Parade Steps off at 1:01 p.m. No Entry Fee! Just Show Up! The parade is complete with an "After Glow" parade party with adult beverages, FREE ADMISSION, FREE LIVE MUSIC from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the corner of High Street &amp; Buttles Avenue! Please see web-site for outdated &amp; inaccurate parade route info.
