Hoje acabei de ler o livro “A estrada”. É brutal. História de um pai e um filho a tentar sobreviver a um acontecimento apocalíptico.

Lembrou-me do filme “The Pursuit of Happyness” em que um pai também tenta sobreviver com o filho depois da mãe do puto bazar. No livro, o desaparecimento da mãe é menos pacífico.

Tirada do Filme “A Brokedown Melody”. Também tem Pearl Jam no meio. Encontrei a música no album do Jack Johnson com o mesmo nome do filme. Música linda!

Grande filme. Estava mesmo com saudades de ouvir Pearl Jam.

Dias atrás vi a foto a seguir. Chama-se “The Falling Man” e mostra uma vítima do 9 de Setembro a cair de um dos edifícios para não morrer queimado. É uma foto marcante.

Esta foto lembrou-me o álbum No Code dos Pearl Jam. Num dos quadrados da capa também aparece um homem a cair. Os Pearl Jam destroem as expectativas por serem tão reais, relaxa.

Lembro-me de ter recebido o álbum de prenda num Natal, ainda era menor de idade. Também recebi o livro “Admirável Mundo Novo”. Ambos eram completamente desconhecidos e ainda pensei em trocá-los por um par de meias com losangos. Mas quando cheguei a casa comecei a ler o livro e a ouvir o CD. Adormeci de madrugada. No dia seguinte adormeci de madrugada e acabei de ler o livro. Uma das melhores prendas que recebi.

Hoje juntamente com o meu irmão Miguel e mais dois colegas (Damião e Dias) participamos numa prova de karting no multiusos aqui de Guimarães.

Antes de mais:

Ficamos em 11º!

Tivemos muitos problemas, podia escrever uma telenovela mexicana acerca do que nos aconteceu durante as 6h de prova. Mas sem dúvida que o que mais me irritou foi estar a prova inteira a ouvir “O carro 14 em 14º”. Último lugar. O aparelho que controla o tempo que o kart demora a dar a volta (transponder) avariou e só ficamos a saber os tempos reais no fim da prova.

Todas as outras equipas pensavam “Bem, pelo menos não somos os últimos”. E eu só pensava “Como é que ainda estamos em último? Os problemas mecânicos e os despistes foram assim tantos?? ARGH!! Concentra-te mas é!” Eram muitos profissionais a correr, uns até iam fazer as 24 horas de Le Mans e não sei quê (a minha desculpa favorita), mas mesmo assim…

Mas adiante, vejam o vídeo seguinte. Apareço aos 2m12s a dar lugar ao meu colega e depois a dar a mãozinha abichanadamente para evitar que ele desse gás nas boxes (regulamentos).
