After I posted last night about my Mummy Coffin Decay Box, I got some great feedback through out the web. It made me too anxious to wait to post 2 more Coffin Decay boxes I completed.

So here they are....

This one's a beast..

It is painted a beastly brown color and adorned with brown "fur" for that monster wolfman look. It is lacquered to protect the paint and features a mini Woflman movie poster on top. The mini poster is also lacquered to protect the image. The inside is also painted a beastly brown and lined in a brown felt for a nice soft finish for all your spooky treasures.

This one is bloodsucking...

It is painted a blood red color and adorned with 2 bloody fangs for that monster Dracula look. It is lacquered to protect the paint and features a mini Dracula movie poster on top. The mini poster is also lacquered to protect the image. The inside is also painted a blood red and lined in a red felt for a nice soft finish for all your spooky treasures.

Introducing my latest and greatest...

A Zombified Corpse Doll

Please note this is NOT a toy. This is a decoration/piece of art for adults and is not intended for children.

Doll was made to be in sitting position so she will easily display on any shelf. She was approx 16 inches before she was put into display position.

She has the following...
* bloody blonde hair accented with a bloody white rhinestone bow
* one buldging blue eye & one oozing empty eye socket
* greenish brown rotting flesh.
* Her right foot has been removed to give her that rotting decayed look and her hands have been bloodied to give her that mysterious "did this doll come to life and do something bad" appeal
* To complete her look she is wearing a cute, lacey yellow dress splattered in blood.

New Year... Time to Get Batty!!

I took some vacation time during the holidays but was still hard at work.

I came up with a new line of Dead Girl Decay barrettes/pins I call Batty Burlesque.

I took rubber bats and painted them in various shades of glitter paint.

I then attached different types of feathers to make large barrettes/pins with a burlesque feel.

That's right..... like my Dead Girl Webbed Decay these can be worn as either a barrette or a pin giving you 2 different accessories for your money!

Art.. the perfect gift...

Well I needed to wait until after Xmas to post this so it didn't ruin gift related surprises.

My cousin Kevin contacted me earlier this month to commission me to draw a portrait of his mother in law that had passed. He wanted me to draw it so he could give it to his wife Lisa for Christmas.

This is the finished portrait...

I got a lovely message from Lisa after she received it..

"Nicole I can't tell you how awesome you are and how much I appreciate the picture. You captured my Mom's spirit and I love it!"

I love when I get feed back from memorial portraits like this. It keeps me inspired to continue doing what I love by seeing how my work effects others and makes their lives a little brighter in a time of lose.

I also had fun making Christmas Spider Ornaments this year for my immediate family and close family friends.

I am sure you can tell from my Muppet obsession why I chose these googly eyes! Are they not the cutest?!

My best friend Regina purchased some of my Dead Girl Decay Barrettes to give as gifts. Here is a picture of her daughter Mia rocking the Halloween inspired Dead Girl Decay she gave to her.

I love that my art can bring Halloween out in others even during the Xmas season ha ha.

And this is not art related but definitely horror move and Xmas related so I had to share. This is a photo of the awesome Xmas cards me and my husband sent out this year. The photo is of me and my husband Frank with Sid Haig in his complete clown makeup from one of the conventions we went to this year. As you all know Sid is one of our faves.. not only as an actor but as a friend.

This time last year I was commissioned to make a bridal hair piece for a wonderful customer named Cherina. She was getting married and the colors were black and purple. She wanted a black and purple feather hair piece with a skull on it. I posted the completed piece HERE!

Cherina was awesome enough to submit these stunning photos of her wearing the barrette at her wedding!!

Isn't she a stunning bride!! And the black and purple just look amazing!! I always love seeing non traditional brides (like I was myself). So awesome.

Well me and Frank heard a few months back that Alice Cooper was coming back to town in December so we ordered tickets as part of our Xmas gift to ourselves :)

The concert was Friday night and it was just as kick ass as the last time when we saw him with Rob Zombie for our wedding anniversary.

Seeing he inspires me so much with his shock rock ways I thought I would share some pics I got with all of you as I know you will appreciate them ..
