In her solo exhibit SKIN, Deborah Kapoor explores the elusive space where strength dwells in vulnerability. Combining encaustic (wax) with ephemeral materials including satsuma peels, cow tongues, pomegranate shells, and dryer sheets, Kapoor's sculptural works and installations address fragility, growth and transience.

Landscapes: More Than A Single View

ArtXchange Gallery dives into the landscape motif through the perception of six artists:

Miya Ando, Chou Yi Ching, Don Cole, Marcio Diaz, Cora Edmonds, and Oksana Perkins.

Through various mediums and forms of expression, these artists explore the potential of this motif.

On display May 3rd - June 16th.

Irish artist Ingrid Murphy in Seattle March 29!

the public

Ingrid Murphy, Subject Leader (director) of the National Centre for Ceramics, will travel to Seattle for a public artist talk about the Beyond Borders exhibit, the Centre and her own work.

Murphy is also a National Advisor for the Arts Council of Wales and a recipient of the Creative Wales Award (the largest financial award given to individual artists in Wales). Murphy’s personal artistic practice combines ceramics with new technologies such as QR codes and augmented reality markers.

Funded in part by Wales Arts International (a partnership between the Arts Council of Wales and the British Council) which fosters artistic excellence in Wales and international relationships through the arts.
