Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a tool that helps you keep track of your user activity. This includes how many users entered your website in a specific time, where those users came from, which pages they visited, etc.

Steps in Google Analytics

Go to Google.com/analytics and sign in with G mail account.

Click on new account
Select your tracking options.
It’s definitely up to you if you want to share your data with Google. Make sure that you change your account name to your client account.
Get your tracking code; copy it and paste it in the header code of our CMS so that it is automatically inside the <head> section.

Understanding data's

Visits: - The number of times a user went in your website to look around.
Unique visitors: - The number of people who went in your website for that specific time.
Page views: - The number of pages a visitor has looked at for the duration of his stay in your websites.
Pages/Visits: - it is simply page views divided by Visits.
Average visit duration:- The average time spent by your users in your websites.
Bounce rate: - The percentage of your users going into your website and ‘bouncing out’.

Search Queries

On-page optimization refers to factors that have an effect on your Web site or Web page listing in natural search results. These factors are controlled by you or by coding on your page. Examples of on-page optimization include Meta tags, keyword placement and keyword density. Contain optimization in head section and body section.

Title optimization

Key word must be present in the title, correct use key word in the title of our every page is extremely important to Google -particularly for the home pages. The title should be in 55 to 60 words. Title will gives only once in web page. If forget to name the title, Google will consider the contents of h2 in the body portion. Using more than three words in title, it’s difficult to analyze page or content in site and also using less than three words in title, it’ difficult to learn what about the page contain.

Meta description optimization

The Meta description is the short paragraph of text placed in the HTML of a web page that describes its content. The Meta description will then appear under your page’s URL in the search results. This is known as a snippet. You can add a meta description in the <head> section of your sites HTML.

Important points on Meta description: 1. Meta description should be unique.

2. Use 155-160 characters.

Body section

It provides the valuable information for human readers and is optimized for high search engine ranking. The headlines are more important than the regular body for both human readers and for the search engines. Always include your keywords in the heading tags, preferably as the first words of the heading. Use alt and link tags it helps to increase the web ranking.

Points to remember

Avoid items that do not add content to be indexed.
