Para o Programa Iconográfico proposto, a escolha mais óbvia seria a de uma obra do primeiro caso, por terem serem escritas propositadamente para descrever uma ação narrativa completa e estarem imbuídas de contornos melódicos e estruturas formais propícias à associação imagética natural que elas mesmas propõem. É o caso, claro, de As Quatro Estações. Essas foram algumas das características dos concertos que conduziram ao Programa Iconográfico discutido aqui. Foram emuladas três manifestações de duas formas de arte opostas inclusive pelo suporte tempo/espaço: a pintura situa-se num eixo de concepção espacial, bidimensional, deixando o aspecto temporal em aberto e em construção a cada vez que a obra é visitada por um espectador, ao passo que a música segue o inverso disso, o espectador constrói o espaço, pois a música situa-se sobre o tempo ; já a poesia escrita é atemporal e virtualmente não depende também do espaço; tratando de poesia declamada, algumas das características de temporalidade apontadas à música são semelhantes – mas a emulação nesse caso se ateve à poesia impressa.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style=&quot;text-align: justify;&quot;&gt;Assim, pintar referências à música e poesia prende-se mais à maneira de interpretar a obra musical, em oposição à “música que conta uma história”, que propriamente a um confronto de suportes , ou de dimensões físicas (tempo e espaço). A pintura não possui necessariamente eixo narrativo linear, e, assim, é possível adotar a narratividade envolvendo música e poesia em sentido muito mais aberto a livres interpretações. No caso do Programa Iconográfico das Quatro Estações, a linearidade dos textos musical e poético é substituída pela circularidade, pois qualquer ponto de partida faz sentido na alegoria de fenômenos cíclicos.&lt;br /&gt;

Quando esse tempo é histórico, quando falamos de música do passado, a relativização é exponencial, pois estamos lidando com um objeto artístico produzido e consumido “naquele tempo”, algo que se esgotou em sua fruição. Os registros que permanecem do objeto, as partituras, são imperfeitos em mais de um sentido, longe de serem capazes de propiciar a reprodução dos sons daquela época. As performances atuais de músicas do século XVIII serão sempre reinterpretativas.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;“Na terminologia da teoria da recepção, o leitor ‘concretiza’ a obra [musical, literária ou pictórica], que em si mesma não passa de uma cadeia de marcas negras organizadas numa página. (…) A obra cheia de ‘indeterminações’, elementos que, para terem efeito, dependem da interpretação (...), e que podem ser interpretados de várias maneiras, provavelmente conflitantes entre si.” (EAGLETON, 1983:82.)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;E se os sons são representações das coisas, observemos que são representações sincrônicas, representam as coisas que lhes são contemporâneas em sua evanescência. Os sons e as coisas do passado se contaminam reciprocamente pela natureza vã de sua essencialidade, por pertencerem concomitantemente ao tempo do perfectum. Um tempo de outra mentalidade, de outras pessoas, diferentes motivações e tudo o mais que costumamos costurar sob o rótulo de ideologia. É modo de devorar o objeto a ponto de desfigurá-lo, realizar a carnavalização da retórica nesse ritual canibalístico e fazer do banquete dionisíaco fonte produtiva de texturas híbridas, polifônicas, babélicas , eis alguns dos propósitos da obra em análise.&lt;br /&gt;O discurso transdisciplinar, a retórica iconográfica na linguagem contemporânea, tem por um lado amplificada sua eficácia, mas se torna mais neutra à medida que sua linguagem é mais complexa, metafórica, metonímica, universalista. Prosseguindo na linha desta aparitmese , o discurso deixa de ser dominante, para ser dialógico; deixa de ser didático para ser didascálico, deixa de ser literal para ser literário; o discurso desta retórica não é jornalístico, mas é cotidiano e atual; não é discurso persuasivo, mas não deixa de ser sugestivo . Se os diversos sistemas semióticos fossem sinônimos, então a proposta iconográfica não faria sentido nenhum.&lt;br /&gt;As teorias que lidam com a construção dos sentidos na relação entre leitores incluem opções entre: Objetivistas, para quais o significado está inteiramente incorporado ao texto (sendo então o significado simplesmente transmitido ao leitor); Construtivistas, para quais o significado é construído na interação entre texto e leitor; terminando nos Subjetivistas, para quais o significado é recriado segundo interpretação do leitor. Isso pode ser resumido em duas tendências gerais: as formais e as dialogais. No processo de estabelecer o texto iconográfico, definiram-se os elementos pictóricos (e entre eles os não-verbais) e semânticos a ser aproveitados em função das suas possibilidades narrativas (com as suas potencialidades conotativas, designativas, simbólicas, indicativas ou icônicas), com o objetivo de entabular comunicação direta com o leitor. Estabeleceram-se os códigos e subcódigos que organizam o sistema de signos textuais, procurando conscientemente refletir valores, atitudes, crenças, paradigmas e práticas, a fim de que as relações entre eles gerassem o sentido desejado nos leitores, mesmos os de diversas culturas e diferentes graus de erudição. Nesse sentido, observou-se a necessidade de ultrapassar os elementos comumente aceitos e gerais no percurso inventivo. Procurou-se incorporar algum elemento conectado às visões autorais de mundo. O desafio foi grande. É daí a idéia de lidar com algumas das questões humanas mais culturalmente inquietantes, entre que se contam sexo, morte, origem da vida, existência de Deus (ou de algum tipo de ser superior), o Além (da morte, da terra, a vida extraterrestre).
