An Easy Way to Turn an Infinity Scarf into a Wrap Around

There are so many different types of scarves out there and even more ways to wear them!

The traditional way to wear an infinity is to put your head through the center and loop it around your neck. Here's a quick way to turn a long infinity into a wrap around. Simply pull one end through the loop of the other end-- and just like that--- a whole new style from your infinity scarf. Especially with fall (and winter...eeeep!) coming-- this will bring the scarf a lot closer to your neck and face and keep you nice and cozy!

A New Take...

Switching things up a little around here! We took Eye of Jupiter, Alcyone, and Medusa and made a few double loop infinity scarves out of them! A fresh change from their original form--- wrap scarves (those are still available too, though.)

They're on sale for a limited time at $65!

Spring 2012 Brings Organic Cotton Scarves

I know I've been hinting at new things to come, but finally-- now I can share! Next week begins the pre-sale of our 100% organic cotton scarves. I had such a blast designing the prints for these bad boys and I couldn't be happier with how they turned out. And I must say, the organic cotton knit is so soft that I've been wearing mine non-stop.

The pre-sale begins in the shop on February 24th and shipment should begin March 9th.

Mini Blueberry Pies

This weekend I made mini blueberry pies for some friends that were visiting from out of town. The weather has been unseasonably warm on the east coast (60+ degrees in January?!) so it didn't even feel like too summery of a treat! And with frozen blueberries, you can't go wrong!

They are simple to make, but a little time consuming (mostly because of the lattice tops.) Just make some pie crust, mold it into a buttered cupcake tray, mix up some berry filling (I used this recipe here,) cut out some dough strips for lattice (completely optional!) and bake! My oven tends to cook a little hotter and faster than most-- but I baked the pies for 5 minutes at 425 degrees and then lowered it to 350 for about 12-15 minutes.

Eat 'em hot and add vanilla ice cream! Yum!

A Home Inside A Home

Hi friends! How has your January been so far? Some great things are happening around here--my favorite being that new products are in development (eek!!!) I've also tried my hand (body?!) at yoga a few times-- so that has got to count towards some new year's resolution, right?

My favorite home project of January was the "fancying up" of our window sill with a little terrarium! It really is a tiny little world within itself living in our home. Every time I look into it, there is something new happening-- it's quite encouraging!

Free Printable Holiday Gift Tags

This is the first year in a long time that I didn't sell holiday cards. It was such a weird feeling not decking the shop in cheer. To fix that (and to get some joy up in here) I whipped up some holiday gift tags for you! I had so much fun digitally painting them and I got to catch up on some tv during the process. A double win!

All you have to do is print, cut and either tape 'em down or punch a hole for ribbon! Done and done!

Well hello there! It has been a little while... Hope this post finds you well! I'm slowly getting myself into the new color palette of the season... fading out the oranges and yellows and welcoming greens and reds-- into Ash & Anchor and into my home. These changes seem to happen so quickly-- I'm attempting to take it slow and enjoy every minute.

How do you slow down? I'd love to hear!
