2013 Sky High Growth Award recipients announced

Summary:

The Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce will present the 2013 Sky High Growth Award to 35 businesses that have experienced outstanding growth in sales and/or employment over the last several years. These 35 businesses collectively represent over 1,300 full-time jobs and over 1,000 part-time jobs.

The program will be held Thursday, April 11 at Crowne Plaza Tennis and Golf Resort. The event will begin with a networking reception at 5:30 p.m. Awards ceremony will begin at 6:15 p.m.

The Annual Meeting of the Economic Development Coalition for Asheville-Buncombe County recognized successes from 2012 and included a look into the future for the EDC. The event began with a networking reception to honor Buncombe County employers that have announced arrival or expansion in 2012.

The EDC , along with its city and county stakeholders,anticipated this opportunity to recognize the progress, accomplishments and continued contributions of the Buncombe County business community.
