The whole Glorious Quran is a cure for diseases and saves in times of trouble and distress. Each and every Surah of the Glorious Quran occupies its own unique excellence and glory which is sufficient to protect life and possession, pouring happiness into hearts by removing sadness, sorrow and distress as well as for rid one of diseases.

• Any Dua that is made after reciting Surah al-Fatihah 100 times will be accepted by Allah.

• Satan flees from the home in which Surah Al-Baqarah is recited.

• Recitation of Ayatul Kursi removes poverty.

• Whoever memorizes the last 10 verses of Surah Kahaf, will remain secured from Dajjal.

• Whoever goes to visit the graves of one or both of his parents every Friday, and then recites Surah Yaseen next to them [i.e. by their graves], Allah will grant forgiveness for him in place of each letter.

• Recitation of Surah Dukhan removes trouble.

• Whoever recites Surah Al-Jaasiyah and blows (does Dam) at the person who is in the pangs of death, he will have a peaceful end.

• Reciting Surah Al-Hujurat and doing Dam is beneficial for blessings in the home.

• Recitation of Surah Qaaf brings about an abundance of fruits in ones’ garden.

• By reciting Surah Ar-Rahman 11 times, all objectives are achieved.

• The one who recites Surah Al-Waaqi’ah daily would never suffer from starvation.

• The one who recites Surah Al-Mulk every night would be protected from the punishment of the grave.

• Reciting Surah Al-Muzzammil 11 times eases each difficulty.

• Making Dua for memorizing the Glorious Quran by reciting Surah Al Muddassir, memorizing the Glorious Quran will become easy.

• Recitation of An-Naazi’aat eases the agony of death.

• Recitation of Surah Ad-Duha finds a man who ran away.

• The possession Surah Alam Nashrah is recited upon will have loads of blessings.

• Recitation of Surah Al-Teen 3 times improves character and manner.

• Surah Alaq has the cure for joint pain.

• The one who recites Surah Al-Qadr in the morning and evening, Allah will elevate his honor.

• Surah Al-Bayyinah has the cure for vitiligo and jaundice.

• Surah Az-Zilzaal is equivalent to a quarter of the Quran.

• Damm (blowing) of Surah Al-Aadiyat is useful for that animal or man who is the victim of an evil eye.

• Recitation of Surah Al-Qaariyah protects from calamities.

• Recitation of Surah At-Takaasur 300 times makes debt pay off at the earliest.

• Recitation of Surah Al-‘Asr removes sorrow.

• Surah Al-Humazah and Surah Al-Feel protect from the evil of the enemy.

• Surah Quraysh is an effective cure for the protection of life.

• Recitation of Surah Al Maa’oon is very effective in times of difficulty.

• By the recitation of Surah Al-Kawsar, a man without children receives children.

• Surah Al-Kafiroon is equivalent to a quarter of the Quran.

• Surah Al-Ikhlas is equal to one-third of the Quran and there are numerous virtues of it.

• Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas protect from evil Jinn, Satan, and jealous people.

The Holy Prophet Muhammad (SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam) has stated, “I was a Noor (Light) by my creator 14000 years before the creation of Hadrat Adam (Alaihis Salam).” [Muwahib al-Laduniyah, Page 10, Vol. 1, Zirkani ala al-Mawahib, Page 49, Vol. 1, Jawahir al-Bihar, Page 774, Anwaar al-Muhammadiya, Page 9, Tafseer Rooh al-Bayan, Page 370, Vol. 2, Hujjatullahi Ala al-Alameen]

I was the last Nabi in the court of Allah even at the time when clay of Adam (Alayhis Salam) was still under preparation. [Musnad Imam Ahmad, Vol. 8, Page 395, Hadith 17163]

The Holy Prophet Muhammad (SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam) has said, “When my mother gave birth to me she saw a light proceeding from her which showed her the castles of Syria.” [Ibn Hisham; Tafsir Ibn Kathir 4:360, Bayhaqi, Dala’il an-Nubuwwa 1:110, Haythami, Zawa’id 8:221, Ibn al-Jawzi ‘al-Wafa’, Qadi Iyad, ‘al-Shifa’, Musnad Ahmad 4:127]

Sayyidatuna Aminah (Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anha) said, “When the Holy Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) was born, I saw that three flags were hoisted: one in the east, one in the west and one on the roof of the Ka’bah.” [Khasais al-Kubra, Vol. 1, Page 82]

Allah has sent me to take good manners and good deeds to their highest degree of perfection. [Majma’ az-Zawaid, Hadith 13684]

Abi Qatada Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that Allah’s Messenger (SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam) was asked about fasting on Monday, whereupon he said: It is (the day) when I was born and revelation was sent down to me. [Sahih Muslim, Book 6 – Fasting, Vol. 7, Page 323, Hadith 2807, Sunan al-Kubra lil Bayhaqi, Vol. 4, Page 286, Musannaf Abd ar-Razzak, Vol. 4, Page 296, Hadith 7865, Sunan Abi Dawood, Vol. 7, Page 255, Hadith 2428]

For me the basis of Mawlid e Rasool (SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam) is from Ahadith that Rasool Allah (SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam) sacrificed animals for Allah SubhanahuWataala in Madinah Munawarah on rejoicing his Birth” [Al-Hawi-lil-Fatawa B. 01, P. 196 | Imam Jalal al-Din al Suyuti]

I am the prayer of my father Sayyiduna Ibrahim (Alayhis Salam), and I am the glad tidings of Sayyiduna Isa (Alayhis Salam) which he had given to his people. [Musnad Imam Ahmad, Vol. 8, Page 395, Hadith 17163]

Imam Bukhari narrates from Abdullah bin Umar Radi Allahu Anhuma, that the description of the Prophet (SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam) in the Torah Sharif was as follows: “O Prophet, Indeed we have sent you as a witness, and the giver of glad tidings and a clear Warner and the forgiver and protector (Hirz) of the unlettered and beseecher of forgiveness on their behalf.” [Sahih al-Bukhari, Vol. 1, Page 285 and Vol. 2, Page 717]

The Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said: “I am not like any one of you”. [Sahih Bukhari; Tirmidhi]

Do you see me facing towards Qiblah? I can see behind me as I see ahead of me. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 1, Page 262, Hadith 741]

Know! Verily the Earth is owned by Allah and His Prophet (ﷺ). [Sahih Muslim, Vol. 2, Page 94, Hadith 1765]

Allah and his Prophet are the protectors for those who have no protectors. [Jami’ Tirmidhi, Vol. 4, Page 33, Hadith 2110]

I have been assisted by awe and I have been given keys of the Earth. [Musnad Ahmad bin Hanbal, Vol. 1, Page 98, Hadith 763]

I was asleep when the keys of the treasures of this world were brought to me and were placed in my hands. [Bukhari, V2, P108, Hadith 7273]

Verily I am the distributor and Allah is the Provider. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 1, Page 43, Hadith 71]

I am al-Qasim, I am the one who distributes amongst you. [Sahih Muslim, vol. 3, Bayhaqi, Sunan al-Kubra, vol. 9]

I have never seen anyone more handsome than the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu ta ala alayhi wa sallam), it was as though the sun was shining upon his face and when he laughed it reflected from the wall. [Musnad Imam Ahmad, Vol. 2, Page 350 and many others]

O Ayesha! If I wanted, mountains of gold would walk with me. [Mishkat al-Masabih, Vol. 2, Part 4, Page 368, Hadith 5835]

My Intercession is Haqq. The one who will not believe in it will not be worthy of it. [Kanz al-Ummal, Vol. 14, Page 399, Hadith 39059]

I am the Guardian and Intercessor of Prophets and I do not say this out of pride. [Musnad Ahmad, Vol. 8, Page 53, Hadith 21313]

There in none of you except that I have held you by your waists preventing you from falling into the hell-fire. [Mu’jam Kabir, Hadith 7100]

My name in the Qur’an is Muhammad and in the Bible is Ahmad and in the Torah is Ahid. And I am called Ahid because I will remove my Ummah from the fire of Hell. Umm al-Darda narrates that I asked Ka’ab Ahbar Radi Allahu Anhum whether he read the description of Prophet ﷺ in the Torah. Answering in the affirmative he said that it was written in the Torah Sharif that: “Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. His name is Mutawakki. Neither is he harsh nor is he coarse. He never screams in the markets. He has been given the keys so that through him, Allah can give sight to the blind, give hearing to the deaf and give the power of speech to those who are dumb until the people will testify that, there is no deity except Allah, who has no partner. That Prophet ﷺ will protect the oppressed and the weak and save them from being deemed weak.” [Imam as-Suyuti, Al-Khasais al-Kubra, Vol. 1, Page 11, Al-Tabaqat al-Kubra li ibn Sa’ad, Vol. 1, Page 377]

There is nothing that does not recognize me as the Messenger of Allah besides the mischievous Jinn and man. [Mu’jam Kabeer, Hadith 672]

My Glorious Lord said to me, ‘I gave My friendship to Sayyiduna Ibraheem, and spoke to Sayyiduna Moosa, and O Muhammad ! I blessed you with My Meeting (where you saw My Divine Being without any obstacles)’. [Tarikh Damishq al Kabir (Dar al Ihya – Berut), Vol 3, Page 296]

Verily, Almighty Allah blessed Sayyiduna Moosa, with the privilege of Dialogue and cherished me with his Divine Vision and exalted me with the Crown of Intercession and the Fountain of Kauthar. [Kanz al Ummal (Mo’assasa Risalah – Berut), Vol 14, Page 447, Hadith 9206]

“I saw my Sublime Creator”. [Musnaf Ahmad Ibn Hanbal (al Maktab al Islami – Berut), Vol 1, Page 285]

Sayyiduna Abdullah ibne Abbaas (Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anho) says that “Verily, Sayyiduna Muhammad (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him) saw his Lord twice, once with his physical eye and once with the eye of his heart”. [a. Mawahib al-Ladunniya (Maktaba Islami – Berut), Vol 3, Page 104, al Maujam Awsat (Maktaba Ma’arif – Riyadh), Vol 6, Page 352, Hadith 5757]

Imam Abdur Razzaq, Teacher of Imam Bukhari, in his famous Musannaf reports from his Teacher Imam Mu’ammar. He narrates from Imam Hasan Al-Basri who swore an oath in the Name of Allah that Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (Peace and Blessings of Allah be Upon Him) positively saw his Creator. [Ash-Shifa, Vol. 1, Page 159]

The soil has been prohibited by Allah from consuming the bodies of the Prophets. The Prophets of Allah remain alive (after their apparent demise) and they are provided with Rizq (sustenance). [Sunan Ibn Majah, Vol. 2, Page 291, Hadith 1637, Mishkat al-Masabih, Vol. 1, Page 304, Hadith 1366]

Prophets of Allah (Alayhimus Salam) are alive in their graves and perform Salah in it. [Musnad Abi Ya’la, Vol. 3, Page 216, Hadith 3412]

The Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam has said: I have several names: I am Muhammad and I am Ahmad, and I am al-Mahi (obliterator) by whom Allah obliterates Kufr (disbelief), and I am Al-Hashir (gatherer) at whose feet (i.e. behind whom) the people will be gathered (on the Day of Resurrection) and I am Al-‘Aqib, the one after whom there is no Prophet. [Sahih Bukhāri, Sahih Muslim, Tirmidhi, Imam Malik, Imam Ahmad, Nasa’i, Hakim, Bayhaqi, Abu Nu’aym and others from Jubair bin Mut’am Radi Allahu Anhu]

I am Muhammad, the Ummi (not thought to read and write by any human beings) Prophet, and there is no Prophet after me. [Musnad Ahmed bin Hanbal, Vol. 2, Page 172]

I am Ahmad, Muhammad, Hashir, Muqaffi (One who is sent in the last) and I am Khaatim. [Suyuti, Mu’jam al-Saghir, Hadith 152]

The Messengership and Prophethood have ended and there will be no Messenger and Prophet after me. [Tirmidhi, Vol. 4, Page 69, Hadith 2219]

I have been sent to all mankind and the line of the Prophets is closed with me. [Sahih Muslim, Hadith 1062]

I am the last of Prophets and you are the last Ummah. Dajjal will for sure arise from amongst you. [IbnMajah, Hadith 4067]

Imam Hakim, Bayhaqi and Tabrani in Sagheer, and Abu Nu’aim and Ibn Asaakir narrated from Sayyiduna Umar ibn al-Khattaab radi Allahu anhu who reported that the Holy Prophet (SallAllahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) has stated: “When (Sayyiduna) Adam (Alaih Salaam) erred, he pleaded, “O Lord, I seek Your forgiveness by the medium (Waseelah) of (Sayyiduna) Muhammad (SallAllahu Alaihi Wa Sallam).” Allah Almighty asked, “And how did you know Muhammad?” He replied, “When You created me with Your Hand and blew soul into me from Your soul, I raise my head and I saw لَا إِلَه إِلَّا الله مُحَمَّد رَسُول الله on the ‘Arsh, so I knew that the only one whose name You would join with Yours is the one who is the Most beloved of the creation to You.” Allah Almighty said, “You have spoken the truth, O Adam, and had Muhammad not been there, I would not have created you.” [Al-Khasaais al-Kubra Li al-Suyooti]

Allah has not made a prophet taste death except at the location in which He would love to be buried. [Jami’ Tirmidhi, Vol. 2, Page 329, Hadith 1018]

Hazrat Sahal bin Saad radi Allahu anhu says, “Once a woman asked the Holy Prophet (SallAllahu Alaihi Wa Sallam), ‘O Messenger of Allah! I have made this cloak with my own hands. I have made it for you to wear’. Prophet (SallAllahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) accepted it. He wore it as kilt. One of the Companions asked the Prophet (SallAllahu Alaihi Wa Sallam), ‘O Messenger! Please can you give this cloak to me’?. He replied ‘sure, InShaAllah’. After the meeting was over, he (SallAllahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) went away and came back and gave the cloak to the companion. People said, “You did not do well. You asked the Prophet for the cloak and you knew that he needed it”. He replied, “I swear by Allah, I asked for it so that I can use it as my Kaffan”. The cloak did become part of his Kaffan. [Sahih Bukhari Vol. 2, P.865]

Indeed, the mountain of Uhud loves us and we love it. [Sahih Muslim, Hadith 3208]

Hazrat Anas (radi Allahu anhu) has stated: “I once saw the Prophet (SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam), and a person was shaving his blessed head. The companions around him were vigilant not to let a single hair fall onto the ground.” [Sahih Muslim Sharif Vol.2, p.256]

A Sahabi (radi Allahu anhu) removed some of the blood of the Messenger of Allah (SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam) (bloodletting). He then went out and drank all of it. On this, the Prophet (SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said to him: “Go! You are freed from the fire of hell!” [Khasais al Kubra Vol.2 p.252]

Once, the Holy Prophet (SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam) went to the home of Hadrat Kabsha radi Allahu anhu and drank water by placing his blessed mouth on the leather water-bag (mashkeeza) of his host. Hadrat Kabsha radi Allahu anhu cut out this piece and kept it for blessings. [Mishkaat, Kitaabul-Atimaa, Baabul-Ashribaa]

Hadrat Ziraa radi Allahu anhu who was present in the delegation of Abdul-Qais, narrates, “When we arrived at Madina, we hastily descended from our rides and began to kiss the hands and feet of the Holy Prophet Muhammed (SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam). [Mishkaat, Baabul-Musaafaha wal-Muanaqa, Section 2]

Glad tidings be for that person who has seen me and brought faith in me. Seven-fold Glad tidings be for that person who brought faith in me and has not seen me. [Musnad Imam Ahmad ibn Hambal, Kitaabul Imaan wal Islaam, Baab fil Imaan bin Nabiyyi SallAllahu alayhi wa Aalihi wa fadhlin man aamana bihi walam yarah, Chapter 2, Hadith 122]

Indeed, there will be people in my nation to come after me, who will wish to gain vision of me even if it means selling their family and property. [Hadith Recorded by Muslim in his Sahih, Hakim in al-Mustadrak (4:85) Ahmad in his Musnad (2:417)]

Hadith Sharif on who is on the “Straight Path” and who is Not.

Hazrat Abdullah Ibn Mas’ood  Radi Allahu anhu narrated: “The Messenger of Allah (SallAllahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) drew a straight line for us, then He (SallAllahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, ‘This is Allah’s path.’ and then He (SallAllahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) drew some lines towards right and some towards the left then said, ‘These are the paths, on each of them, there is shaitaan inviting towards him, then He (SallAllahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) recited:

“And that, ‘This is My Straight Path, so follow it; and do not follow other ways for they will sever you from His way; this is commanded to you, so that you may attain piety.’ ” (Surah Al-An’aam 6, Verse 153)

He said this is a Sahih chained Hadeeth Vol. 2, p. 349, Hadeeth No. 3241; Imam Dhahbi in its annotations agrees that it is a Sahih Hadeeth; Ibn ‘Aasim in his book Al-Sunnah; Ibn Batta in his book Al-Ibaanatul Kubra and also in his book Al-Sughra; Al-Ajurri in his book al-Shariah; Imam Al-La’lakaai in his book Sharhus Sunnah authenticated this Hadeeth]

Prophet (SallAllahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) said to us: “The Bani Israel was split into 72 sects. My Ummah will be split into 73. All of them are in Jahannam except one.” When the Sahaaba asked him who the correct group was, he answered, “Those who are on my path (Ahle-Sunnah) and the path of my Sahaaba (wal-Jamaat).” [Tirmidhi, Vol. 2, Pg. 89; Mishkaat, Vol. 1, Pg. 30; Sharah Fiq‘he-Akbar, Pg. 5]

Hazrat Abdullah Ibn Abbas radi Allahu anhu says that the Holy Prophet (SallAllahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) addressed the people at the time of last Hajj. “O people! I’m leaving behind among you, the Holy book (Quran) and the Sunnah. If you follow these in letter and spirit, you will never be strayed.” [Hakim Al-Mustadrik Book.1 Hadith 318]

One day, Hazrat Abu Dhar Ghifaari radi Allahu anhu held onto the door of the Holy Ka’bah and said, “Those who know me, so be it, and those who do not, then I am Abu Dhar, and I have heard the Holy Prophet (SallAllahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) stating:

‘My Ahle Bayt are the likes of the ark of (Prophet) Noah (peace be upon him); whoever boards it will attain salvation and whoever got left behind will be drowned’.” [Al-Mustadrak Vol. 3, p. 15]

Love Allah because of what He gave you from His blessings; Love me because of the Love of Allah and Love my AhleBait because of my Love. [Sunan Tirmidhi, Vol. 5, Page 622, Hadith 3789]

My Sahaabah are like stars whomsoever you follow, you will be rightly guided. [Mishkat Sharif Pg. 554]

Everything has a base and the base of Islam is the love of the Prophet’s Companions and AhlulBayt. [Kanz al-Ummal, Hadith 32523]

The Holy Prophet (SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam) has stated: “One who is kind to any of my family members will be given reward for it by me on the Day of Judgment.” [Al-Jami as-Saghir, Page 533, Hadith 8821]

The Holy Prophet (SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam) has said: I will intercede (specifically) for four people on the day of Judgement:

1. The one who respected my family;
2. The one who fulfilled their needs;
3. The one who ran and came to their aid when they were helpless; and,
4. The one who loved them (my family) with (both) his heart and his tongue.”

If a man prays standing between the Rukn and Maqaam and fasts but dies with malice for the Household of Muhammad ﷺ, He has entered Hell. [Tabarani in Al-Kabir, Vol. 11, Page 142, Hadith 11412]

You should fear Allah as regards to my companions. Have the fear of Allah! Do not criticize them after me. Whoever loves them, he did so out of my love and the one who hates them, then it is due to bearing hatred towards me and whoever annoyed them he annoyed me, the one who annoyed me surely annoyed Allah and whoever annoyed Allah, very soon, Allah will call him to account. [Jami’ Tirmidhi, Vol. 5, Page 463, Hadith 3888]

When you see someone belittling my companions (Radi Allahu Anhum), say: “Allah’s damnation be upon your evil. [Mishkat Sharif, Hadith 6017]

Verily, Allah has chosen me and has chosen my companions and my in-laws and there will be people who will slander and disrespect them; If they (heretics) fall ill, do not visit them; and if they die, do not join their funeral; and if you pass them, do not greet them; and do not sit with them; and do not drink with them; and do not eat with them; and do not marry them; and do not pray (janazah) Salah upon them; and do not pray Salah with them; Run far from them and keep them away from you so that they may not mislead you and cause you tribulations. [Sahih Muslim, Vol. 1, Page 10, Abu Dawood, Vol. 2, Page 288, Sunan Ibn Majah, Page 10, Kashf al-Khifa, Vol. 1, Page 391, Hadith 1437, Kanz al-Ummal, Vol. 11, Page 540, Hadith 32529]

Rasoolullah (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) once raised his hands in dua and said, ” O Allah (azzawajal), grant us barakat in our Syria, O Allah (azzawajal), grant us barakat in our Yemen.” Those present submitted to him, “Ya Rasoolallah (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam)! Make dua for barakat in our Najd,” yet the Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) didn’t and continued to supplicate for Syria and Yemen. He was further reminded several times to do this but didn’t. After some time, he said, “How can I make dua for Najd when it is the place from which major tribulations and fitna will occur and a shaitaanic sect will rise?” [Sahih Bukhari, Hadith 7094]

The Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said “Nearing Qiyamah there will be a Group of people who will recite the Holy Quran but it will not go below their throats. They will leave the true Religion of Islam as fast as an arrow leaves the bow. They will be recognized by the shavings of their entire head and they will move in Groups and their last Group will emerge with Dajjal, when you meet them you will discover their nature and character, the worst of its kind.” [Mishkat Shareef Page 309]

The Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said, “There will be “dajjals” (fraudsters & imposters) and liars among my Ummah. They will tell you something new, which neither you nor your forefathers have heard. Be on your guard against them, and do not let them lead you astray.” [Musnad Imam Ahmed]

Hazrat Abu Dhar (radi Allahu anhu) said, “I was with the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) one day and I heard him saying: “There is something I fear for my Ummah more than the Dajjal.” It was then that I became afraid, so I said, “” O Allah’s Apostle! What is that?” He said; “Misguided and astray scholars.” [Musnad Imam Ahmed]

The Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said, “The angels of hell will seize such (evil) scholars before they seize idol worshippers; when they protest, ‘do you seize us even before you take idol-worshippers?’ They (angels ) will answer: ‘Those who know are not the same as those who do not know.’ [Tabarani, Abu Nuaym]

Stay away from those astray from the deen and keep them away lest they put you in fitna and make you astray as well. [Sahih Muslim, Vol. 1, Pg. 10; Mishkaat, Vol. 1, Pg. 20]

Follow the way of the largest group of Muslims! For, he who deviates from this group will be thrown into Hell! [Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith 3950]

He who deviates from the largest group of Muslims, even as much as a hand span, has himself cut off his connection with Islam. [Abu Dawud]

Allah will never allow my Ummah to unite upon misguidance and incorrect beliefs. Allah’s mercy, blessings and protection are with the largest group of Muslims. And he who deviates from this largest group of Muslims will be thrown into Hell. [Sunan Al Tirmidhi Vol.2 Pg.39]

By Allah! Unity is with the consensus of the people of truth even though they may be few in number. [Kanz al-Ummal, Hadith 1644]

Hadith Sharif on Excellence of Aquiring Knowledge and Sharing it.

Get up in the morning in a state that you be an ‘Alim or a seeker of knowledge. Or one who sits in the company of an ‘Alim or at least loves an ‘Alim. Do not be in the fifth state (i.e. other than the four mentioned) because you will go astray. – [Majmah al-Zawaid, Hadith 594]

The Beloved Rasool ﷺ stated: When a man dies, his deeds discontinue except three:

1. Sadaqah Jariyah i.e. Sadaqah which gains perpetual reward.
2. The knowledge by which benefit is acquired.
3. A pious child who makes Du’a for him.

[Sahih Muslim, Page 684, Hadith 4223]

Sayyiduna Mu’aaz bin Jabal (Radi Allahu Anhu) has narrated, the Greatest and Holiest Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) has stated:

Acquire knowledge because acquiring knowledge for the pleasure of Allah is actually Khauf (fear) and the worship of Allah repetition of knowledge is glorification of Allah and teaching an uneducated person is Sadaqah and teaching family is a proximity i.e., virtue, because knowledge is a source of distinguishing Halaal and Haraam; it is a mark of the way of the dwellers of Jannah and it is a source of relief in the era of corruption; it is a travel companion; it is a friend in loneliness; it is a guide in poverty and prosperity; it is a weapon against the enemy; it is an adornment in the sight of friends; by virtue of knowledge, Allah grants success and supremacy to nations observing their goodness and making them guides and Imams, then their footsteps and deeds are followed and their opinions are considered final.

A person presented himself before Hadrat Abu Darda (Radi Allahu Anhu) in the Mosque of Damascus and said that he had traveled from Madinah Munawwarah to learn a (particular) Hadith of Rasoolullah (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) from him. He said, “I have heard that you narrate this (particular) Hadith, so I have traveled here solely for this reason”. Hadrat Abu Darda (Radi Allahu Anhu) said that he heard the beloved Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) saying:

“Whoever travels a path in search of knowledge, Allah makes easy for him the path to Paradise, and without doubt, the angels, who feel pleased with the act of the knowledge seeker, spread their wings for him, and without doubt the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth, even the fish in the sea, pray for forgiveness for the Islamic scholar, and the superiority of the scholar over the worshiper is similar to that of the full moon over the rest of the stars, and without doubt the scholars are the inheritors of the Prophets (Alayhim as-Salaam). Without doubt the Prophets (Alayhim as-Salaam) do not leave dirhams and dinars (wealth) as inheritance, but these pure souls leave knowledge as their inheritance. So whoever gains this has gained a large share.”

On the day of Judgement, the biggest regret will be for the one who had opportunity to gain knowledge but he did not. [Kanz al-Ummal, Vol. 10, Page 138, Hadith 28696]

Anyone whose feet are covered with dust in the way of Allah will not be touched by the hell-fire. [Sahih Bukhari, Hadith 2811]

‎Whoever travels in search of ‪‎knowledge is in the path of ‪‎Allah until he returns. [‪Tirmidhi, Vol. 4, Page 295, ‪Hadith 2700]

It was asked, ‘What are the gardens of Paradise.’ He ﷺ replied, ‘The gatherings of knowledge.’ [Mu’jam al-Kabir, Hadith 11158]

Ask Allah for beneficial knowledge and seek refuge with Allah from knowledge that is of no benefit. [Ibn Majah Vol.5 Book 34 Hadith 3843]

For you to go to learn a chapter (from Islamic) knowledge in the morning is better than 100 Rak’at of Nafl Salah. [Sunan IbnMajah, Vol. 1, Page 142, Hadith 219]

Sayyiduna Abu Zar Ghifari (Radi Allahu Anhu) narrates that the Beloved Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) said to me,

‘‘O Abu Zar! If you learn one Ayah from the Book of Allah in the morning, it is better for you than offering 100 Rak’at Nafl, and if you learn one chapter from Islamic knowledge in the morning, whether you act upon it or not, it is better for you than offering 1000 Rak’at Nawafil.’’

Whosoever recites the Quran and learns it and acts upon it, his parents will be made to wear a crown of Noor on the Day of Judgment whose shining will be like the sun and his parents will be made to wear two garments, this world cannot pay the price for them. Thereupon, they will ask, ‘Why have we been made to wear these dresses?’ It will be said to them, ‘Because your children have memorized the Quran.’ [Al-Mustadrak ala al-Sahihayn lil Hakim, Vol. 2, Page 278, Hadith 2132]

Whoever recited the Qur’an and acts according to its contents, on the Day of Resurrection his parents will be given to wear a crown whose light is better than the light of the sun in the dwellings of this world if it were among you. So what do you think of him who acts according to this?! [Musnad Ahmad, Vol 4, Page 446]

Keep revising (the learning by heart of) the Qur’an, because I swear by Him in Whose control my soul is, it is more slipping away than a camel which is tied with a rope. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 2, Page 753 – Sahih Muslim, Vol 1, Page 268]

Anyone who recites (i.e. learns off by heart) the Qur’an and then forgets it will meet Allah on the Day of Resurrection in a maimed condition. [Sunan Abi Dawood, Vol. 2, Page 207 – Sunan Daarimi, Vol. 2, Page 325]

Allah will brighten the graves of those who learn and teach good so that they would not have any fear. [Hilyat al-Awliya, Hadith 7622]

Do not wish to be like anyone except in two cases: a person whom Allah has given wealth, and he spends it righteously, and the one whom Allah has given wisdom, and he acts according to it and teaches it to others. [Sahih Bukhari Vol 1, Book 3, Hadith 73]

The best Sadaqah is that a Muslim gains knowledge and then imparts it to his brother. [IbnMajah, Vol. 1, Page 158, Hadith 243]

The one who goes out to the mosque wanting only to learn good or teach it has the reward of a complete Hajj. [Hadith, al-Tabarani]

One who acts upon his knowledge will be given such knowledge by Allah that he didn’t have before. [Hilyat al-Awliya, V10, P13, Hadith 1455]

Whoever learns knowledge by heart and then conceals it from the people, he will come on the Day of Judgment wearing a fire-made bridle. [Sunan IbnMajah, Vol. 1, Page 170, Hadith 261]

When tribulations arise or innovations, and a scholar does not reveal his knowledge; then the curse of Allah, the angels and mankind is upon him. Allah neither accepts his obligatory acts nor his supererogatory. [Kanz al-Ummal, Hadith 1271]

One (righteous) scholar dominates Satan more than one thousand worshippers. [Kanz al-Ummal, Vol. 5, Page 76, Hadith 28904]

One whose chest has nothing in it from the Holy Quran, is like a deserted home. [Tirmidhi, Vol. 4, Page 419, Hadith 2922]

A small amount of knowledge is better than abundance of worship. [At-Targheeb Wat-Tarheeb, Kitab al-Ilm, Vol. 1, Page 50, Hadith 104]

The Ulama (righteous scholars) are representatives of the Prophets (Alayhim as-Salam). [Sunan IbnMajah, Vol. 1, Page 146, Hadith 223]

The Ulama of my Ummah will experience heat due to the power of the Holy Quran in their hearts. [Firdous al-Akhbar, V8, P352, Hadith 2596]

To see the face of an Aalim is Ibadah, to see the Kaaba is Ibadah and to look at the Holy Quran is Ibadah. [Kanz al-Ummal, Hadith 43486]

All of you are custodians and everyone will be asked about his dependents (subordinates). [Sahih Bukhari, V2, P159,  Hadith 2554]

If Allah wills to bestow someone with special virtue; He makes him a Faqih of the Religion. [Sahih Bukhari, Hadith 71]

If Allah Almighty guides anyone through you, it is better for you than the fact that you possess red camels. [Sahih Muslim, Page 1007, Hadith 6223]

No doubt, the one who guides towards a good deed is like the one who performs the good deed. [Tirmidhi, Vol. 4, Page 305, Hadith 2679]

Whosoever records some knowledge or a hadith from me, reward will not cease being recorded for him as long as that knowledge or hadith remains. [Kanz al-Ummal, Vol. 5, Page 79, Hadith 28947]

Hadith Sharif on Excellence of Remembrance of Allah (azzawajal)

Indeed, the Quran and the remembrance of Allah make faith grow in the heart as water grows grass. [Al-Firdaus al-Akhbar, Vol. 3, Hadith 4319]

Everything has a cleansing and cleansing of hearts is in the Remembrance of Allah. [At-Targhib wat Tarhib, Vol. 2, Page 254, Hadith 10]

Whoever recites a letter of the Book of Allah (the Qur’an) he will be credited with a good deed, and a good deed gets a tenfold reward. I do not say that Alif-Laam-Meem are one letter; but Alif is a letter, Laam is a letter and Meem is a letter. [Sunan Tirmidhi, Vol. 2, Page 119 – Sunan Daarimi, Vol. 2, Page 320]

Everything has a heart, and the heart of the Qur’an is Yasin. Allah records anyone who recites Yasin as having recited the Qur’an ten times.” [Sunan Tirmidhi, Vol. 2, Page 116 – Sunan Daarimi, Vol. 2, Page 336]

Whoever recites Surah Yasin at the beginning of the day, his desires will be fulfilled. [Sunan Daarimi, Vol. 2, Page 336]

Surah Yasin is called the one which encompasses people generally in its goodness, which feeds and provides the means of living. [Shu’ab al-Iman, Vol. 4, Page 96, Hadith 2237]

Surah Mulk consists 30 verses and it will continue to intercede for its reciter until he is forgiven. [Tirmidhi, V4, P408, Hadith 2900]

Shaytan will not come close to any home in which last 2 verses of Surah Baqarah have been recited for 3 nights. [Tirmdhi, Hadith 2891]

Everything has an adornment, and the adornment of the Qur’an is (Surah) al-Rehman. [Mishkat Sharif, Page 189]

Weep when reciting the Holy Quran. If you are unable to weep, make a weeping face. [Sunan IbnMajah, V2, P129, Hadith 1337]

Allah has 99 Asmaa’ al-Husna. One who memorizes them will enter Heaven. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 4, Page 537, Hadith 7392]

Count the dhikr upon your fingertips, for indeed they shall be questioned, and they will be made to speak. [Tirmidhi, Hadith 3497]

A man puts a Haram morsel into his stomach, so his deeds are not accepted for 40 days. [Tabarani, Mu’jam Awsat, Hadith 6495]

Allah will not accept any act of worship, obligatory or supererogatory, from the one who kills a Muslim. [AbuDawud, V4, P103, Hadith 4270]

Hadith Sharif on Excellence of Durood Sharif

Indeed the people closest to me on the day of judgement will be those who recited the most Durood on me. [Tirmidhi, Hadith 484, V2, P27]

There is no Muslim who invokes blessings upon me (salutes me), but Allah returns to me my soul till I respond to him in return. [Abu Dawood, Sunan, b. of manasik (rituals of hajj), (2: 218 , 2041), Ahmad bin Hambal, Musnad, 2:527]

He who invokes blessings upon me once, Allah showers ten blessings upon him and obliterates (his) ten sins and elevates him by ten ranks. [Ahmad bin Hambal, Musnad, 3: 102 & 261; Muhammad Hakim, al-Mustadrak, 1:550, and Dhahabi also graded it saheeh (sound).]

Whoever recites one salawat upon the Beloved Prophet (SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam), Allah Almighty and His Angels send seventy blessings upon him. [Musnad Ahmad, vol. 2, pp. 614]

Indeed Jibra’il Alaihis Salam gave me glad tidings that whoever recites Durud upon you, Allah Almighty sends blessings upon him and whoever sends Salam [salutations] upon you, Allah Almighty sends peace upon him. [Imam Ahmad, Musnad, Vol. 1, Page 407, Hadith 1662]

When a Muslim recites salawat upon me, the Angels continuously pray for him. Now [after knowing this] it is the person’s desire whether he recites less or more. [Sunan IbnMajah, pp. 65]

Increase in sending blessings (Salawat) upon me, for Allah has appointed for my grave an angel; so that when a man of my ummah sends blessings, that angel will say to me, “So-and-so the son of so-and-so has this very hour sent blessings upon you.” [Musnad al-Firdous, Vol. 1, Page 494, Hadith 2181, narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (Radi Allahu Anhu)]

Once ‘Umar bin Khattab radi Allahu anhu said to his nation: The supplication is stopped between the heaven and the earth and nothing of it ascends, till you invoke blessing (Durood) on your Prophet. [Tirmidhi related in al-Jami‘-us-saheeh, b. of salat (prayer) ch.352 (2: 356 , 486)]

The blessed Companion Ubay bin Ka’ab radi Allahu anhu said that, [aside from my Fardh obligations, etc.] I will devote all my time in reciting Durud. Upon this, the Master of Madinah al-Munawwarah SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam said to him, This will be sufficient to drive away your worries and shall be redemption for your sins.  [Tirmidhi, Vol. 1, Page 64, Hadith 484, Tirmidhi, Vol. 4, Page 207, Hadith 2465]

Angels will continue to seek forgiveness [istighfar] for, whoever writes Durud on me in a book; until my name remains in it. [Imam at-Tabarani, Mu’jam al-Awsat, Vol. 1, Page 497, Hadith 1904]

The one who loves another for the sake of Allah Almighty, upon meeting his brother, they embrace and recite Durud upon the Prophet, before departing their past sins shall be forgiven. [Abu Ya’la, Musnad, Dar al-Kutub al-Ilmiyyah, Beirut — Lebanon, Vol. 3, Page 95, Hadith 2951]

When the day of Thursday approaches, Allah Almighty sends his angels, who have scribes made of Silver and pens made of gold. They write the names of those who recite Durood in abundance on the day of Thursday and during Friday night [which begins after sunset on Thursday]. [Kanz al-Ummal (Dar al-Kutub al-Ilmiyyah, Beirut – Lebanon), Vol. 1, Page 250, Hadith 2177]

On the shining night [Thursday night] and the bright day [Friday], recite Durud upon me in abundance because your recitation is presented to me. [Imam al-Haytami, Majmu’a az-Zawa’id, Vol. 2, Page 381, Hadith 3025]

Recite Durood upon me in abundance on Friday night [which begins after sunset on Thursday] and the day of Friday because whoever does this, I will be his witness and intercessor on the Day of Judgement. [Imam as-Suyuti, Jami as-Saghir, Page 87, Hadith 1405]

Whoever recites the following Durood eighty times immediately after Asr Salaat on Friday, before standing up from his place, Allah will forgive eighty years of sins and grant him the reward equivalent to eighty years of worship.” [Hadith, Jami as-Saghir, Al-Qawl al-Badee]

Allahumma salli ala Muhammadinin nabiyil ummiyyi wa ala alihi wasalim tasleema

Recitation of Durud upon me is Nur for you on the bridge of Sirat. Whoever recites eighty Durud upon me on the day of Friday, eighty years [worth] of his sins will be forgiven. [Imam as-Suyuti, Jami as-Saghir, Dar al-Kutubul Ilmiyyah – Beirut, Page 320, Hadith 5191]

Last night I witnessed a strange scene, I saw an individual from my nation crossing the bridge [of sirat] by dragging himself and crawling on his knees. Suddenly the Durud he sent on me arrived [to his aid]; he stood up straight on the bridge to the extent that he walked across the bridge. [Imam at-Tabarani, Mu’jam al-Kabir]

Whoever recites a hundred Durood upon me on Friday; when he comes on the Day of Judgement, he will be accompanied by such a Noor that will be sufficient for all the creation if [it were] distributed. [Imam Abu Nu’aym, Hilyat al-Awliya, Vol. 8, Page 49, Hadith 11341]

Whoever performs Wudu (ablution) well and says Shahadah: اشهد ان لا اله الا الله واشهد ان محمدا عبده ورسوله  all the eight gates of Paradise will be opened for him and he may enter through any gate he wishes. [Sunan an-Nasa’i, Page 32, Hadith 148]

May that person be dishonored who heard my name mentioned but didn’t recite Durood. [Al-Mustadrak ala al-Sahihayn, V2, P247, Hadith 2060]

Hadith Sharif on Excellence of Ramadan al-Kareem

The Messenger of Allah (SallAllahu Alayka wa Sallam) has said, “Ramadan, a blessed month, has come to you during which Allah the Most High has made it obligatory for you to fast. In it the doors of Heaven are opened, the doors of Hell are closed, and the rebellious satans are chained. In it there is a night (worshipping in it) which is better than (worshipping for) a thousand months. Whoever is deprived of its good (and blessing) has indeed been deprived of all good.” [Nasa’i, Vol 1, Page 299; Mishkat, Vol 1, Page 173]

If my Ummah had known what Ramadan is, they would wish if only Ramadan had remained the whole year. [Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah, Vol. 3, Page 190, Hadith 1886]

Anyone who misses even a single fast in Ramadan without a valid reason or without illness cannot make up for it even if he observes fasts forever. [Tirmidhi, Vol. 2, Page 175, Hadith 723]

In Ramadan, every day at sunset, Allah frees 1 million such sinners from Hell for whom Hell had become Wajib. [Kanz al-Ummal, Hadith 23716]

In every moment of Friday in Ramadan, Allah frees one million such sinners from Hell who had deserved damnation. [Hadith, KanzulUmmal]

On the 29th of Ramadan, Allah sets free (from hell) as many as were freed throughout the month. [Kanz al-Ummal, V8, P219, Hadith 23702]

Whoever offers Salah in night of Ramadan, Allah will reward him with 1500 virtues for every Sajdah. [Shuab al-Iman, V3, P314, Hadith 3635]

Whoever prays during the night in Ramadan sincerely; seeking his reward from Allah, his former sins are forgiven. [Sahih al-Muslim, Vol. 1, Page 259, Hadith 1815]

May the person, who finds Ramadan but is not forgiven before it departs, be disgraced! [Musnad Ahmad, V3, P61, Hadith 7455]

In Ramadan there is a night (worshipping in it) which is better than (worshipping for) a thousand months. Whoever is deprived of its good (and blessing) has indeed been deprived of all good. [Nasa’i, Vol 1, Page 299; Mishkat, Vol 1, Page 173]

Look for LailatulQadr in the odd nights of the last ten nights of Ramadan. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 1, Page 662, Hadith 2020]

The one offering Isha with the Jama’at has definitely earned his share from LailatulQadr. [Jami’ Saghir, Page 532, Hadith 8796]

Whoever passes Lailat-ul-Qadr in prayer with faith and seeking his reward (from Allah the Most Exalted) all his past sins will be forgiven. [Sahih al-Bukhari Vol 1, Page 255; Sahih al-Muslim, Vol 1, Page 259]

The mother of the believers, Sayyidatuna Aishah Siddiqah (Radi Allahu Anha) has stated, ‘I asked the Holy Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam), Ya Rasool Allah (SallAllahu Alayka wa Sallam)! If I come to know of Laylat-ul-Qadr, what should I recite? The beloved Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) replied: Make Dua like this:

”اللهم إنك عفو كريم تحب العفو فاعف عني“

Translation: O Allah! Without doubt, You are forgiving, You are merciful, You love forgiving, so forgive me. [Tirmidhi, Vol. 5, Page 306, Hadith 3524]

DidYouKnow: Whoever recites Surah Qadr 7 times in LailatulQadr, Allah will protect him from every calamity. [NuzhatulMajaalis]

Whoever did Itikaf with faith in order to earn reward all of his previous sins will be forgiven. [Jami’ as-Saghir, Page 516, Hadith 8480]

A Mu’takif is granted the reward of performing Hajj every day. [Shu’ab al-Iman, V3, P425, Hadith 3968]

There is a portal in Heaven called Rayyan. On the Day of Judgement, this portal will be opened for those who fast. [Sahih Bukhari, Hadith 1896]

The fast will intercede for people on the Day of Judgement and it will be accepted. [Musnad Imam Ahmad, Vol. 2, Page 586, Hadith 6637]

Ramadan in Al-Madinah (Al-Munawwarah) is better than 1000 (months of) Ramadan in any of the other cities, and Jumu’ah (Friday) in Al-Madinah (Al-Munawwarah) is better than 1000 (Days of) Jumu’ah in any of the other cities. [Tabarani, Al-Mu’jam al-Kabir, Vol. 1, Page 372, Hadith 1144]

Whoever stood (to offer Salah) in the nights of Eid (Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha) in order to earn reward, his heart will not die on the day when hearts (of people) will die. [Sunan Ibn Majah, Vol. 2, Page 365, Hadith 1782]

The one spending the night of Eid al-Fitr worshiping Allah, Heaven becomes Wajib for him. [At-Targhib wa at-Tarhib, V2, P98, Hadith 2]

The Messenger of Allah (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) commanded that Sadaqat-ul-Fitr be paid before one goes to perform the Eid prayer. [Sahih Bukhari – Book on Zakah, Volume 1, Page 204]

Hadrat Sayyiduna Anas Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anhu reported that the Messenger of Allah SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam did not go (to the place of prayer) in the morning on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr till he ate some dates, and he used to eat an odd number. [Sahih Bukhari – Book on the two Eid Prayers, Vol. 1, Page 130]

The sleeping of a fasting person is worship, his prayers are answered and his deeds are accepted. [Shu’ab al-Iman, V3, P415, Hadith 3938]

Everything has a door and observing Sawm (i.e. fast) is the door of worship. [Suyuti, Al-Jami as-Saghir, Page 146, Hadith 2415]

The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) has said: Observe Sawm, you will become healthy. [Tabarani, Mu’jam Awsat, Vol. 6, Page 146, Hadith 8312]

Eat Sahari because it is a blessed (food). [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 1, Page 633, Hadith 1923]

The distinguishing factor between us and the people of the book (Ahl al-Kitab) lies in eating Sahari. [Sahih Muslim, Page 552, Hadith 1096]

Allah and His angels send mercy upon the people who eat Sahari. [Sahih Ibn Hibban, Vol. 5, Page 194, Hadith 3458]

Eat Sahari to gain strength for fast and take rest (siesta) in the afternoon to gain strength for worshipping at night. [Sunan Ibn Majah, Vol. 3, Page 321, Hadith 1693]

Sahari is a blessing Allah has granted you (therefore) do not miss it. [Sunan al-Kubra, Nasai, Vol. 2, Page 79, Hadith 2472]

There are three people who will not be held accountable no matter how much they eat, provided the food is Halal: (a) A fasting person at the time of Iftar. (b) The one who eats at Sahari and (c) A warrior that protects the Islamic border in the path of Allah. [At-Targhib wat-Tarhib, Vol. 2, Page 90, Hadith 9]

Sahari is full of blessings, so do not miss it even if you drink just a sip of water. Allah and His angels send mercy upon the people who consume Sahari. [Musnad Imam Ahmad, Vol. 4, Page 88, Hadith 11396]

Sayyiduna Irbad bin Sariyah [Radi Allahu Anhu] has narrated that once the Beloved and Blessed Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) called him to eat Sahari with him during the month of Ramadan and said: ‘Come for a blessed breakfast.’ [Sunan Abi Dawud, Vol. 2, Page 442, Hadith 2344]

If anyone serves a fasting Muslim with Iftar, angels will pray for his forgiveness in Ramadan, and Jibrail (Alayhis Salam) will pray for his forgiveness at Laylat al-Qadr.” [Tabarani, Mu’jam Kabeer, Vol. 6, Page 262, Hadith 6162]

If anyone serves a person with Iftar in Ramadan with Halal earnings, the angels will send Durud upon him at every night of Ramadan, and Jibrail (Alayhis Salam) will shake his hands with such a person at Laylatul Qadr. If Jibrail (Alayhis Salam) shakes hands with a person, his eyes will shed tears (due to the fear of Allah) and his heart will become soft. [Kanz al-Ummal, Vol. 8, Page 215, Hadith 23653]

Spend more on your family in Ramadan because spending in Ramadan is like spending in the path of Allah. [Jami’ Saghir, P162, Hadith 2716]

If anyone serves a fasting Muslim with water, Allah will make him drink water from my pond (Hawd) and he will not feel thirst till he enters Heaven. [Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah, Vol. 3, Page 192, Hadith 1887]

During the month of Ramadan, aside from the praying of wit’r the beloved Prophet SallAllahu Alaihi wa Aaihi wa Sallam would also pray 20 rak’ahs of Tarawih. [Ibn Abi Shayba, Musannaf, Vol. 2, Page 164, Hadith 7692, At-Tabarani, Mu’jam al-Awsat, Vol. 1, Page 243, Hadith 798, Al-Bayhaqi, Sunan al-Kubra, Vol. 2, Page 496, Hadith 4391, Khatib al-Baghdadi, Tarikh, Vol. 6, Page 113 and many more]

During the time of Hadrat ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab radi Allahu anhu, people used to pray 23 Rak’ahs during Ramadan (20 rak’ahs for Tarawih prayer and 3 rak’ats for witr.)” [Muwatta Imam Malik, Vol. 1, Page 115, Hadith 251]

A companion of Sayyiduna Ali Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anhu, Sayyiduna Shutayr bin Shakil Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anhu narrates that, During the month of Ramadan Sayyiduna Ali would read 20 rak’ahs of Tarawih and 3 wit’r. [Ibn Abi Shayba, Musannaf, Vol. 2, Page 163, Hadith 7680, Al-Bayhaqi, Sunan al-Kubra, Vol. 2, Page 496, Hadith 4395]

Whoever keeps fasts in Ramadan and then keeps six fasts in Shawwal, it is as if he has kept fasts for his entire life. [Sahih Muslim, Page 592, Hadith 1164]

Hadrat Aisha Siddiqah radi Allahu anha says, I have never seen the Prophet SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam fasting in a month more frequently than he did in Shaban. [Sahih Bukhari, V2, P298, Hadith 1970]

After Ramadan, the fast of Shaban is preferable, for honoring Ramadan. [Shu’ab al-Iman, V3, P377, Hadith 3819]

‘When the 15th Night of Sha’ban comes, do Qiyam (for worship) in the night and observe fast in the day. No doubt Allah reveals special Divine Manifestation on sky above the earth from the time of sunset and announces, ‘Is there anyone seeking forgiveness so that I may forgive him? Is there anyone seeking sustenance so that I may grant him sustenance? Is there anyone afflicted so that I may relieve his affliction? Is there so and so…’ He keeps announcing it until the time of the Fajr.’ [Sunan Ibn Majah, Vol. 2, Page 160, Hadith 1388]

Whoever fasts on the 27th of Rajab, Allah will inscribe reward of observing fasts for 60 months. [Tanzih al-Shariah, V1, P161, Hadith 41]

The one who respects and reveres Rajab, Allah will make His pleasure waajib for him. [Shu’ab al-Iman, Vol. 3, Page 374, Hadith 3813]

The fast on the day of Arafah (9th Dhu al-Hijjah) is equivalent to a thousand fasts. [Shu’ab al-Iman, Vol. 3, Page 357, Hadith 3764]

After Ramadan, the Fast of Muharram is the most superior, and the most superior Salah after the Fard Salah is Salat al-Layl (i.e. Nawafil offered during the night). [Sahih Muslim, Page 591, Hadith 1163]

When Rasoolullah (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) arrived in Madinah Munawwarah, the Jews were fasting on the day of Aashura, so he (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) asked, ‘Why have you fasted on this day?’ They replied, ‘This is a great day in which Allah saved Musa (Alayhis Salam) and his nation, and drowned Pharaoh and his people. Therefore, Musa (Alayhis Salam) fasted on this day as an expression of gratitude to Allah and so we too observe fast on this day.’ He (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) said, ‘We deserve more than you to follow Musa (Alayhis Salam).’ So the Beloved and Blessed Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) himself fasted and he ordered his Companions to do so as well. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 1, Page 656, Hadith 2004]

Fast on the day of Ashura and go against the Jews, fast a day before or after it as well. [Musnad Ahmad, V1, P518, Hadith 2154]

I have presumption from Allah that fast on Aashoora removes the sins of the previous year. [Sahih Muslim, Page 590, Hadith 1162]

Whoever spends on his family on the day of Ashura, Allah increases his sustenance for the whole year. [Shu’ab al-Iman, Hadith 3626]

Hadith Sharif on Excellence of Zakah

The perfection of your Islam is that you pay Zakah of your wealth. [At-Targheeb Wat-Tarheeb, Vol. 1, Page 301, Hadith 12]

Pay Zakah of your wealth as it is a purifier. It will purify you. [Musnad Ahmad, Vol. 4, Page 273, Hadith 12397]

Zakah is the bridge of Islam. [Tabarani, Al-Mu’jam al-Awsat, Vol. 3, Page 275, Hadith 4577]

The wealth that is lost in the land and in the sea is lost due to not paying Zakah. [Kanz al-Ummal, V6, P306, Hadith 15807]

One who has paid Zakah of his wealth, so the harm of his wealth has got away from him. [Mu’jam al-Awsat, V6, P328, Hadith 8937]

The nation that does not give Zakah, Allah will make them suffer from drought. [Tabarani, Mujam Awsat, V3, P275, Hadith 4577]

Hadith Sharif on Excellence of days of Hajj, Haji and Qurbani

“There is no deed, performed any other day, which Allah (Subhanuhu wa Ta’ala) likes more than the deed performed during these ten days.”

The blessed companions (Radi Allahu Anhum Ajma’een) asked,

“Ya RasoolAllah (SallAllahu Alayka wa Sallam)! not even Jihad?”

He (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) replied,

“And not even Jihad, except the person who leaves his home with his life and money and does not bring anything back.” (i.e. The Mujahid who succeeds in sacrificing his life and money in the path of Allah can excel). [Sahih Bukhari, Vol.1, Page 333, Hadith 969]

Allah does not free His so many slaves from Hell on any other day as He does on the day of Arafah. [Sahih Muslim, Hadith 1348]

Hair falling whilst shaving head (in Hajj) will become Noor on the Day of Judgement. [Attarghib wattarhib, V2, P135, Hadith 3]

Arafah is the day when whoever keeps his ear, eye & tongue in control, will be forgiven. [Shuab al-Iman, V3, P461, Hadith 4071]

There is one virtue for every hair when the head is shaved, and one sin is removed. [At-Targhib Wat-Tarhib, V2, P135, Hadith 3]

Performing Rami of Jamarat will be a Noor for you on the Day of Judgement. [At-Targhib Wat-Tarhib, Vol. 2, Page 134, Hadith 3]

On the Day of Judgement, this stone (Hajar -e- Aswad) will be raised with eyes whereby it will see, and with the tongue whereby it will speak, and will give evidence for the one who kissed it with the truth. [Tirmidhi, Vol. 2, Page 286, Hadith 963]

When a Muslim recites Labbayk, Every stone, tree and clod up to the edges of the earth, recite Labbayk. [Tirmidhi, Hadith 829]

Keep on doing Hajj and Umrah for they eliminate poverty. [Jami Tirmidhi, Vol. 2, Page 167, Hadith 810]

The Haji will intercede for his 400 family members. [Musand al-Bazzar, Vol. 8, Page 169, Hadith 3196]

If anyone possesses enough provision and an animal to mount on (or any other conveyance) to take him to the House of Allah and (despite this) does not perform the pilgrimage, there is no difference whether he dies as a Jew or a Christian. This is because Allah the Most Exalted has stated, ‘Pilgrimage to the House is a duty men owe to Allah, those who can afford the journey’. [Sunan Tirmidhi, Baab Ma Ja’a fi at-Taghleedh, Vol. 1, Page 167]

Hadrat Abu Razin al-‘Uqayli Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anhu came to the Messenger of Allah SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam and asked, “My father is very old, he cannot perform Hajj and Umrah himself; nor can he ride on any conveyance. He said, “Perform Hajj and Umrah on behalf of your father.” [Sunan Abi Dawood, Baab al-Rajul Yahujju ‘an Ghayrih, Vol. 1, Page 252]

Never should any woman travel (even if it be for Hajj) without her mahram (to which she cannot marry i.e. marrying to him is Haram) [Sahih Muslim, Baab Safar al-Mar’ah Ma’a Mahram, Vol. 1, Page 434]

The Haji is forgiven and the one for whom the Haji asks forgiveness is also forgiven. [Majma al-Zawaid, V3, P483, Hadith 5827]

When you meet a Haji (on his way home) then greet him, shake hands with him and ask him to beg forgiveness of Allah on your behalf before he enters his home, for his prayer for forgiveness is accepted since he is forgiven by Allah for his sins. [Musnad Ahmad Vol.2, pg 69]

He who intends to perform Hajj should hasten to do so. [Sunan Daarimi, Vol. 2, Page 1121, Hadith 1825]

Paradise is the reward for Hajjal-Mabroor. [Bayhaqi, Shu’ab al-Iman, Vol. 3, Page 479, Hadith 4119]

One Umrah is the expiation of sins until another Umrah and the reward for an accepted Hajj is nothing but Jannah. [Sahih Bukhari, Hadith 1773]

Performing ‘Umrah in the month of Ramadan equals (in reward) a Hajj. [Baihaqi, Bab al-Umrah fi Ramadan, Vol. 4, Page 565]

Perform Hajj and you will become wealthy. [Musannaf Abd ar-Razzaq, Vol. 5, Page 11, Hadith 8819]

On the day of Eid al-Adha, the best Dirham is the one spent on the animal being slaughtered. [Shu’ab al-Iman, Hadith 7084]

On Eid al-Adha, no other deed of man is dearer to Allah than shedding blood of sacrificial animal. [Tirmidhi, Hadith1498]

The one who is able to sacrifice an animal, but does not do so, should never come near our Eidgah. [Musnad Ahmad, Hadith 8496]

The blood of a sacrificial animal finds acceptance with Allah before it falls on the ground. [Tirmidhi, V1, P275, Hadith 1572]

By virtue of slaughtering an animal on the day of your Eid, your Lord will be pleased. [Shu’ab al-Iman, V5, P482, Hadith 7085]

The best qurbani in the court of Allah is the one that is the most expensive and the most excellent. [KanzulUmmal, Hadith 12693]

Hadith Sharif on Upbringing and Respecting Elders

Treat your children well and try to teach them good manners. [Sunan IbnMajah, Vol. 4, Page 189, Hadith 3671]

No father has given his child a gift that is better than good manners. [Jaami’ Tirmidhi, Vol. 3, Page 383, Hadith 1959]

It is the right of a child upon his father to give him a good name & teach good manners. [Shu’ab al-Iman, V6, P400, Hadith 8658]

Teach your children 3 things: (1) Loving Me, (2) Love for my family and (3) Love of Quran. [Suyuti, Jami Saghir, Hadith 311]

Allah wills to torment the people of the Earth, but when He hears the children reciting the Holy Quran, He holds the torment back. [Sunan Darimi, Hadith 3345]

A person who does not prioritize his son over his daughter, Allah will enter him into Paradise. [Al-Mustadrak, Hadith 7428]

The one who doesn’t insult his daughter & doesn’t prefer sons to her, Allah will make him enter Heaven. [AbuDawud, V4, P435, Hadith 5146]

The one who pleases his daughters, Allah will please him on the Judgment Day. [Daylami, Al-Firdaus, V2, P236, Hadith 5830]

One who has 3 daughters or 3 sisters and he treats them well, he will enter Heaven. [Tirmidhi, Vol. 3, Page 366, Hadith 1919]

A person who treats his daughters well, these daughters will become a shield for him against Hell. [Muslim, P1414, Hadith 2629]

Undoubtedly, daughters are very loving, sympathetic and very affectionate. [Daylami, Firdaus al-Akhbar, V2, P415, Hadith 7556]

Obedience to the father is obedience to Allah & disobedience to the father is disobedience to Allah. [Mu’jam Awsat, Hadith 4455]

The father is the middle door from among the doors of Jannah; whether lose it or protect it. [Tirmidhi, V3, P359, Hadith 2255]

The pleasure and the displeasure of Allah lies in the pleasure and displeasure of your father. [Tirmidhi, V3, P360, Hadith 1907]

Allah, his Angels & all mankind curses one who abandons his biological father and adopts another father. [Bukhari, V4, P326, Hadith 6766]

Paradise lies under the feet of the Mothers. Being good to them is a means of entry into Paradise. [Musnad Shahab, V1, P102, Hadith 119]

Refrain from walking ahead of your parents, sitting before they do, or calling them by their names. [KanzulUmmal, Vol. 8, Page 197, Hadith 45506]

When a person abandons making supplication for his parents, his sustenance is cut off. [Kanz al-Ummal, Vol. 16, Page 201, Hadith 45548]

Make space and comfort for a scholar due to his knowledge and for an elderly person due to his age. [KanzulUmmal, Hadith 25495]

Show respect towards the elders & have mercy upon the young ones, you will attain my company in Jannah. [Bayhaqi, Hadith 10981]

Teach your sons the art of archery and swimming. [Kashf al-Khifa, Vol. 2, Page 63, Hadith 1860]

He is not amongst us who does not have mercy on our young ones and does not respect our elders. [Mu’jam Kabeer, Hadith 12276]

The youngster who reveres an elder, in exchange for it, Allah will make everyone respect him. [Tirmidhi, V3, P411, Hadith 2029]

Whenever someone returns from his journey, he should get some gift for his family. [KanzulUmmal, Vol. 3, Page 301, Hadith 17508]

Exchange gifts amongst each other as this will increase love. [Haythami, Majma’ al-Zawa’id, Vol. 4, Page 260. Hadith 6716]

Hadith Sharif on Forbiddance, Prohibitions and Evil Deeds

Verily, whatever the Messenger of Allah (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) has forbidden is like that which Allah has forbidden. [IbnMajah, V1, P15, Hadith 12]

A true believer (Mu’min) will prefer burning in a fire rather than accepting Kufr (disbelief). [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 1, Page 19, Hadith 21]

Whosoever forges a lie against me intentionally or rejects something I have ordered then let him take up his abode in hell-fire. [Mu’jam al-Awsat, Vol. 2, Page 149, Hadith 2838]

Whoever interprets the Holy Quran without knowledge should make Hell his abode. [Sunan Tirmidhi, Vol. 4, Page 439, Hadith 2959]

The one who deliberately gives wrong advice to his brother has committed treachery. [Sunan AbuDawood, Vol. 3, Page 449, Hadith 3657]

Whosoever harms a believer or plots against him is cursed. [Jami’ Tirmidhi, Vol. 3, Page 378, Hadith 1948]

The one who deliberately fabricates a lie about me, he should make his abode in hell. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 1, Page 57, Hadith 107]

There is no goodness in lying. [Muwatta Imam Malik, Vol. 2, Page 467, Hadith 1909]

A believer can never be a liar. [Muwatta Imam Maalik, Vol. 2, Page 468, Hadith 1913]

Abstain from lies, since (telling a) lie is contrary to Imaan. [Musnad Imam Ahmad, Vol. 1, Page 16, Hadith 22]

When a person tells lies, then through its foul odour, the Angels stay a mile away from him. [Tirmidhi, Hadith 1979]

Vulgar talk results from the hardness of the heart and hardened heart is in fire. [Sunan Tirmidhi, Volume 3, Page 406, Hadith 2016]

Fire is better for the person who has consumed Haraam and Riba (i.e. interest) to nourish his flesh. [Mu’jam Awsat, Hadith 6495]

A person is a fool who follows his Nafs (desires) and in spite of this, is hopeful from Allah. [Tirmidhi, Vol. 4, Page 207, Hadith 2467]

It is sufficient for a person to be liar that he relates everything he hears. [Sahih Muslim, Page 17, Hadith 7]

Keep far from suspicion because verily, suspicion is the biggest lie. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 4, Page 117, Hadith 6066]

A Muslim’s blood, wealth and bad assumption about him is Haraam (for the other Muslim). [Shu’ab al-Iman, Vol. 5, Page 297, Hadith 6706]

Refrain from bad assumption. Indeed bad assumption is the worst lie. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 3, Page 446, Hadith 5143]

Abstain from (going to and being present at the) blameworthy places. [Kashf al-Khifa, Vol. 1, Page 37, Hadith 88]

When the son of Adam wakes up in the morning, all of his body parts bow to the tongue and say: “Fear Allah regarding us, we are only part of you. If you are straight we are straight and if you are crooked we are crooked.” [Tirmidhi, Vol. 4, Page 183, Hadith 2415]

There is nothing in the body which does not complain of the sharpness of the tongue. [Musnad Abi Ya’la, Vol. 1, Page 17, Hadith 5]

The Holy Prophet (SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam) asked his companions (Radi Allahu Anhum Ajma’een), ‘Who is poor?’

The companions answered, ‘Poor is a person who has neither dirham nor wealth.’ He (SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam) then replied, ‘Poor person from my Ummah is the one who will come on the Day of Judgment with his Salah, fasts and Zakah, but he would have cursed someone, laid allegation on another, stole from someone, caused someone’s blood to flow and hurt someone. Therefore they all will be given a share from his good deeds and if his good deeds run out before their rights are fulfilled; then their sins will be put on him and then he will be thrown into Hell.’ [Sahih Muslim, Page 1394, Hadith 2581]

When you see anyone buying or selling in the Masjid, then say, May Allah not give profit in your trade. [Tirmidhi, Hadith1325]

Laughter in the mosque (masjid) brings darkness in the grave. [Kanz al-Ummal, Vol. 7, Page 272, Hadith 20822]

It is easier for me to walk on a sharp edge of a sword than to walk on a Muslim’s grave. [Kanz al-Ummal, Vol. 15, Page 273, Hadith 42563]

Whoever has arrogance in his heart even equal to a mustard seed will not enter Jannah. [Sahih Muslim, Page 61, Hadith 266]

On the Day of Judgement, arrogant people will be resurrected like ants with human faces. [Musnad Ahmad, V2, P596, Hadith 6689]

Inform him who pushes up his beard (inwards under the chin) that Muhammad ﷺ is disgusted with him. [Nasai, Vol. 8, Page 136, Hadith 5067]

Worst is he who considers himself to be good and feels pride and forgets Allah. [Jaami’ Tirmidhi, Vol. 4, Page 203, Hadith 2456]

The one who expresses his superiority in front of his Muslim brother, Allah will disgrace him. [Mu’jam Awsat, Hadith 7711]

One who runs away form an epidemic is like that soldier who shows his back and runs away from the Kuffaar. [Musnad Ahmad, Hadith 24581]

The swindler, the stingy person, and the one who discloses his favors will not enter the Jannah. [Jami’ Tirmidhi, Vol. 5, Page 388, Hadith 1970]

The Noble Prophet once asked, ‘Do you know what backbiting is?’ They (the companions) answered, ‘Allah Almighty and His Prophet know best.’ Then the Beloved and Blessed Prophet explained, ‘Backbiting is that you talk about your brother in a manner which he would dislike.’ Someone then asked, ‘What if that (fault) is found in him?’ He replied, ‘If the statement you are making (about his fault) is found in him, you have in fact committed backbiting against him; whereas if that (fault) is not in him, then you have calumniated him.’ [Sahih Muslim, Page 1397, Hadith 2589]

Deliberateness is from Allah, and haste is from Shaytaan. [Jami’ Tirmidhi, Kitab al-Birr, Vol. 3, Page 407, Hadith 2019]

Save yourself from songs and music because they provoke lust and destroy shame. [Shu’ab al-Iman, Vol. 4, Page 280, Hadith 5108]

Music at the time of a boon and Screaming at the time of trouble are cursed in the world and the Hereafter. [Kanz al-Ummal, Hadith 40654]

The giver and taker of bribe are both in Hell. [Tabarani, Al-Mu’jam Al-Awsat, Vol. 2, Page 295, Hadith 2026]

Although usury might bring an apparent increase in wealth but it actually causes wealth to decrease. [Musnad Ahmad Hadith 3754]

Interest (Riba) is equivalent to 73 sins and the lightest of these is committing adultery with one’s mother. [Kanz al-Ummal, Hadith 1598]

One who uses black dye, Allah will blacken his face on the Day of Qiyaamah. [Majma’ az-Zawaid, Vol. 5, Page 293, Hadith 8815]

Every play of a Muslim is in falsehood besides three; Horse riding, Archery & Playing with his wife (in private). [Tirmidhi, Hadith 1634]

Everything has a calamity which destroys it. The calamity of this religion is the leaders of evil. [KanzulUmmal, V6, P23, Hadith 14672]

A female is one that should be concealed, for when she emerges Shaytan glances at her. [Tirmidhi, Vol. 2, Page 392, Hadith 1176]

Whenever a man is with any non-Mahram woman in seclusion, then surely, the third one with them is Satan. [Tirmidhi, Hadith 2172]

Woman who adopt masculine style (that makes her resemble a man) will never enter Heaven. (At-Targhib wat-Tarhib, Vol. 3, Page 76, Hadith 8]

The curse of Allah is on all those men who imitate women and all women who imitate men. [Musnad Ahmad, Vol. 1, Page 727, Hadith 3151]

Allah does not accept the Salah of a woman who leaves her home without her husband’s permission. [Kanz-ul-‘Ummal, V16, P25, Hadith 43919]

Allah remains displeased with the woman unless her husband gets pleased with her. [Kanz al-Ummal, Vol. 16, Page 160, Hadith 44998]

Looking towards the beauty of a woman is one of the poison-tipped arrows of Satan. So the one who gives it up will be made by Allah to feel such a taste of worship that will please him. [Tabrani, Al-Mu’jam al-Kabir, Vol. 10, Page 173, Hadith 10362]

The one who gazes and the one who is gazed upon, Allah curses them both. (i.e. the one who gazes intentionally without a valid reason, and the one allowing to be gazed intentionally without a valid reason). [Mishkat, Vol. 1, Page 574, Hadith 3125]

It is better for a man that a swine drenched in soil or smelly black mud comes in contact with him than his shoulders coming in contact with such a woman that is not Halal for him. [Tabarani, Mu’jam Kabir, Vol. 8, Page 205, Hadith7830]

There will definitely be such people in my Ummah who will consider fornication, silk, alcohol and music to be halal. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 3, Page 583, Hadith 5590]

A time will come upon people when man will not care at all about how he earned whether it is by Halal means or by Haram. [Sahih Bukhari, Hadith 2059]

When a person commits fornication, Iman (faith) departs from him and remains over him like a cloud. Then when he leaves this action, his Iman (faith) returns back. [AbuDawood, Vol. 4, Page 293, Hadith 4690]

Refrain from adopting seclusion with women! I swear oath by the One Who has control over my life! No one adopts seclusion with a woman, but Satan comes in between them. [Tabarani, Mu’jam Kabir, Vol. 8, Page 205, Hadith7830]

There will be those women who will be nude despite wearing clothes, who will entice others (towards themselves) and would get enticed themselves. They will neither enter Paradise, nor will smell its fragrance. Whereas, its fragrance can be scented from such and such distance. [Sahih Muslim, Page 1177, Hadith 125]

Either you will keep your eyes lowered & take care of your sensual organs or Allah will disfigure your faces [Tabarani Kabir Hadith 7840]

It is better for one to have an iron needle pierced through his head than him touching a woman that is not halal for him. [Tabrani, Mu’jam Kabir, Vol. 20, Page 211, Hadith 486]

Hands commit fornication. Its fornication is to hold (haram). And feet commit fornication. Its fornication is to walk (towards haram). And mouth (also) commits fornication. And its fornication is to kiss (the prohibited). [AbuDawood, Vol. 2, Page 359, Hadith 2153]

Allah will pour lead into the ears of the one sitting beside a female singer & listening to her attentively. [Kanz al-Ummal, Hadith 40662]

Whatever you dislike to do in front of people, do not do it when alone either. [Suyuti, Jami’ Saghir, Vol. 2, Page 487, Haidith 7973]

If you have no shame then do what ever you want. [Tabarani, Al-Mu’jam al-Kabir, Vol. 17, Page 236, Hadith 653]

Jealousy consumes good deeds as fire consumes wood. [Sunan IbnMajah, Vol. 3, Page 473, Hadith 4210]

If someone amongst you is sitting under the shade and the shade withdraws from him and he is partly in the sunshine and partly in shade, he should get up from there. [AbuDawood, Vol. 4, Page 338, Hadith 4821]

Amongst Halal things, Talaaq (divorce) is the most disliked one in the court of Allah Almighty. [Abu Dawood, Vol. 2, Page 370, Hadith 2178]

There is no superstitious owl, bird, no star-promising rain, no bad omen in the month of Safar. [Sahih Bukhari, Hadith 5707]

One who has upset a Muslim has upset me and one who has upset me, has displeased Allah. [Mu’jam Awsat, Vol. 2, Page 386, Hadith 3607]

He who displeases Allah in pleasing the people, Allah will be displeased with him and will make those displeased with him whom he seeks to please through displeasing Allah. And he who pleases Allah in displeasing the people, Allah will be pleased with him and will make those pleased with him whom he displeased through seeking the pleasure of Allah, such that He will adorn him and his word and deed in their eyes. [Tabarani, Al-Mu’jam al-Kabir, Vol. 11, Page 268, Hadith 11696]

Every person making pictures is in Hell, and for every picture that he had made, Allah will make a creature that will punish him. [Sahih Muslim, Hadith 5506]

The Angels of Mercy do not enter a home that has a dog or photographs (of living beings). [AbuDawud, Vol. 4, Page 100, Hadith 4157]

The mother of the faithful believers, Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqah Radi Allahu Anha says, “I bought a cushion with pictures on it. When Allah’s Apostle saw it, he stood at the door and did not enter the house. I noticed the sign of disgust on his face, so I said, ‘O Allah’s Prophet! I repent to Allah and His Messenger (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam)’.” [Sahih al-Bukhari, Vol. 2, Page 881, Sahih Muslim, Vol. 2, Page 201, Musnad Ahmad bin Hanbal, Vol. 6, Page 246, Musannaf Abd al-Razzaq, Hadith 19484, Vol. 10, Page 398]

Whoever walks with an oppressed person in order to help him have his right restored to him, Allah will make his feet firm on the Siraat (bridge over the Hell-fire) on the Day of Resurrection, the Day when the feet will slip off it. And whoever walks with an oppressor in order to aid him in his oppression, Allah will cause his feet to slip off the Siraat, on the Day when the feet will fall off it. [Tafsir al-Qurtubi, Vol. 13, Page 267, Surah al-Qasas, Verse 15-19]

Allah Almighty said: I swear by My Honour and Magnificence, I will surely avenge the cruel sooner or later. And I will also avenge the one who doesn’t help the oppressed, despite having the ability to do so.’’ [At-Targhib Wat-Tarhib, Vol. 3, Page 145, Hadith 3421]

Oppression leads to Hell. [Sunan Tirmidhi, Vol. 3, Page 406, Hadith 2016]

On the Day of Judgement the oppressors and proud will be raised like an insignificant dust particle. [Ruh al-Bayan, V8, P138]

The person who unjustifiably seizes even a hand span of land will be made to wear the collar of seven earths around his neck on the Judgment Day. [Sahih Muslim, Page 669. Hadith 4132]

Avoid the curse of the oppressed because he asks Allah for his due right and Allah gives people their rights. [Jami’ Saghir, Hadith 119]

Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash’ari (Radi Allahu Anhu) narrated that the Holy Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) said,

“Verily, Allah gives respite to the cruel, until, when He grabs him, then He does not release him.”

After saying this, the Holy Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) recited verse 102 of Surah Hud:

وكذلك أخذ ربك إذا أخذ القرى وهي ظالمة إن أخذه أليم شديد

And similar is the seizure of your Lord when He seizes the townships upon their injustice; indeed His seizure is painful, severe. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 3, Page 247, Hadith 4686]

When a Muslim is being insulted in front of another person and that person has the power to help him but does not do so, then on the Day of Judgment, Allah will disgrace him in front of the people. [Musnad Imam Ahmad]

When a Muslim neglects another Muslim at a place where his respect may be violated and his honor is being aspersed, Allah will desert him at a place where he wishes his help; and when a Muslim supports another Muslim at a place where his honor may be aspersed and his respect is being violated, Allah will rescue him at a place where he wishes his help. [Abu Dawud]

A believer’s property and blood is greater in the sight of Allah than the sacredness of the Holy Kabah. [Sunan Ibn Majah, Vol. 2, Page 1297, Hadith 3932]

Believers are like one body, if one organ gets hurt, the whole body feels the pain. [Sahih Muslim, Page 1396, Hadith 2586]

A believer for another believer is like a building, some portion of which supports the other. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 2, Page 127, Hadith 2446]

The grave is either a garden from the gardens of Paradise or a ditch from the ditches of hellfire. [Tirmidhi, Vol. 4, Page 208, Hadith 2468]

Each pang of death is more severe than one thousand strikes (cuts) with a sword. [Kanz al-Ummal, Vol. 15, Page 240, Hadith 42183]

The heat of Jahannam will only be for my Ummah like the heat of the hot baths. [Tabarani, Mu’jam Awsat, Vol. 6, Page 354, Hadith 6603]

Hadith Sharif on Consequences of Quarrel

No nation has ever gone astray after remaining on the right path, but due to quarrels. [Jami’ Tirmidhi, Vol. 5, Page 170, Hadith 3264]

The person who quarrels without any reason always displeases Allah until he gives it up. [Mawsu’at Ibn Abi Dunya, Vol. 7, Page 111, Hadith 153]

The most unliked person in the blessed Court of Allah is the one who is the most quarrelsome. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 2, Page 193, Hadith 2457]

A bondman cannot attain the excellence in the reality of Iman [faith], until he stops quarreling despite being right. [Mawsu’at Ibn Abi Dunya, Vol. 7, Page 101, Hadith 139]

I guarantee a home in the (inner) corner of Paradise to the one who does not pick a quarrel despite being rightful. [Sunan AbuDawood, Vol. 4, Page 332, Hadith 4800]

Hadith Sharif on Not Fulfilling Promises

Destruction is for him who makes a promise and then goes back on it. [Tabarani, Mu’jam Awsat, Vol. 2, Page 351, Hadith 3514]

People will not perish unless they break the promise to their people. [Sunan AbuDawood, Vol. 4, Page 166, Hadith 4347]

The one who breaks a promise to any Muslim, neither any of his Fard nor Nafl will be accepted. [Bukhari, V1, P616, Hadith 1870]

Do not make a promise to anyone which you cannot fulfill. [Majma’ az-Zawaid, Vol. 10, Page 405, Hadith 17728]

It is easy to make a promise, but difficult to fulfill it. [Bayhaqi, Shu’ab al-Iman, Vol. 4, Page 82, Hadith 4361]

It is from the signs of a hypocrite that when he promises, he does not fulfill it. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 1, Page 24, Hadith 33]

Allamah Mufti Sharif-ul-Haq Amjadi (Alayhir Rahmah) has said: Three signs of hypocrite have been stated in Hadith which belong to saying, deed and intention. Lie is the disorder of speaking; misappropriation is the disorder of deed; and breach of promise is the disorder of intention. The one who is a hypocrite will surely possess these three things, but it is not necessary that the person who possesses these three bad characteristics will be a hypocrite, therefore if a Muslim possesses these bad characteristics, it is not permissible to call him a hypocrite. However! It can be said that he bears the sign of hypocrisy.

Hadith Sharif on Good Things to do

Whosoever loves my Sunnah, he loves me, and whosoever loves me will be with me in Paradise. [Mishkat, Vol. 1, Page 55, Hadith 175]

Whosoever firmly holds onto my Sunnah during the turmoil of my Ummah, will gain the reward of 100 martyrs. [Bayhaqi, Az-Zuhd al-Kabeer, Page 118, Hadith 207]

When you see any wrong amongst you, change it physically, if you cannot then rectify it verbally. If this is not possible then dislike it in your heart and this is the weakest state of Imaan. [Sahih Muslim, Kitab al-Iman, Page 44, Hadith 49]

Expose the mischief and corruption of the Faajir so that people may abstain from them. [Shu’ab al-Iman, Vol. 12, Page 166, Hadith 9220]

Do you wish to abstain from condemning a Faajir? When will the people recognize them? [Bayhaqi, Shu’ab al-Iman, V12, P164, Hadith 9219]

Whoever has friendship with any nation, he will be raised with them on the Day of Qiyamah. [Mustadrak ala al-Sahihayn, Hadith 4350]

Anyone, who imitates a nation, is indeed from amongst them. [Sunan AbuDawud, Vol. 4, Page 62, Hadith 4031]

Hidden actions are 70 times better than actions done publicly. [Kanz al-Ummal, Vol. 1, Page 447, Hadith 1929]

The most beloved deed to Allah is that which is done consistently, even if it is small. [Sahih Muslim, Page 394, Hadith 218]

Be sincere in your religion even a few good deeds will suffice for you. [Mustadrak, Kitab-ar-Raqaq, Vol. 5, Page 435, Hadith 7914]

After believing in Allah, the foundation of intellect is to love people and make friendships with them. [Jam’-ul-Jawami’, V4, Hadith 12332]

When you are supposed to do any work, think about its consequence, if its good then do it. [KanzulUmmal, V3, P101, Hadith 5676]

Whoever intends to do any virtuous deed, (but) then he does not do the virtuous deed so a virtue will be written for him. Then if he does it, ten (virtues) will be written for him. And whoever intends (to commit) a sin, then he does not commit, so nothing will be written for him. Then if he commits (it), so for him only one sin will be written. [Sahih Muslim, Page 87, Hadith 411]

The Noblest Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) has stated: “Guarantee me six things and I guarantee you Jannah.

1. Whenever you speak say the truth.
2. Fulfil your promises when you make them.
3. When you are entrusted with something, carry that trust.
4. Safeguard your private parts.
5. Lower your gaze.
6. Prevent your hands from harming others.

Sayyiduna Abu Dharr RadiAllahu ‘Anhu narrates: The Beloved Prophet of Allah (SallAllahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) said to me, “After 6 days I will tell you few things which I would like you to memorise.”

On the 7th day the Prophet (SallAllahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, “I am advising you (1) always fear Allah ﷻ in private and in public (lit. in outer and inner state), (2) if you commit a sin, do goodness thereafter, (3) do not demand anything from anyone even if your whip falls on to the ground whilst you’re on your mount, then don’t ask someone to pick it up for you, (4) do not keep belongings of other people (lest you may misuse it) and (5) do not judge between two people (lest you may judge incorrectly). [al-Musnad of Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, Hadith 21629]

A wise person should have a moment in which he makes accountability of his Nafs. [Shu’ab al-Iman, Vol 4, Page 164, Hadith 4677]

A Ruler will be placed upon you according to your condition. [Daylami, Firdous al-Akhbar, Vol. 2, Page 184, Hadith 4953]

He who guards against doubtful things keeps his religion and his honor blameless, but he who falls into doubtful things falls into what is unlawful. [Sunan Abu Dawood]

A person does not reach the rank of Muttaqeen (pious people) until he leaves even what is permissible, fearing getting indulged in what is impermissible. [Tirmidhi, Vol. 4, Page 205, Hadith 2459]

He who has protected himself from the things about which there is any doubt has protected his religion and honor. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 1, Page 33, Hadith 52]

Leave the thing which makes you doubtful and adopt what is free of doubt. [Tirmidhi, Vol. 4, Page 232, Hadith 2526]

Turn your face away from people. Don’t you know that if you doubt people, you will cause turmoil among them. [Mu’jam Kabeer, Hadith 759]

Do not speak ill of one another behind their back. O Allah’s worshipers! Live as brothers. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 4, Page 117, Hadith 6066]

Adopt company of a person who is blessed with disinterest in the world and with the attribute of less talking. [Hadith IbnMajah]

Good assumption is one of the good acts of worship. [Sunan Abi Dawood, Vol. 4, Page 387, Hadith 4993]

The things that make a person most [worthy of] entering Paradise are piety and gracious manners. [Jaami’ Tirmidhi, Page 1852, Hadith 2004]

Whoever sees a fault in his brother and then conceals it shall enter Paradise. [Musnad ‘Abd Ibn Umayd, Page 279, Hadith 885]

Glad-tidings for the one whose shortcomings deterred him from the faults in others. [Firdaws bima Saur al-Khitab, V2, P447, Hadith 3929]

Those who love one another for Allah shall sit beside the divine ‘Arsh on chairs made of rubies. [Mu’jam al-Kabir, V4, P150, Hadith 3973]

After the obligatory acts, the act that is the most pleasing to Allah is to please a Muslim’s heart. [Mu’jam Kabir, P59, V11, Hadith 11079]

Bury your dead amongst the graves of the Pious. [Kanz al-Ummal, Vol. 15, Page 254, Hadith 42364]

Whenever ‪Allah decides to do ‪good to someone He afflicts ‪‎suffering upon him. [‪Sahih ‪‎Bukhari, Vol. 4, Page 4, ‪‎Hadith 5645]

When the movement of people stops (sunset), do not leave your homes and do not go outside. [Sunan AbuDawud, Vol 4, Page 426, Hadith 2012]

One who removes some harmful thing from the Masjid, Allah will have a Mansion built for him in Jannah. [IbnMajah, Hadith 757]

Most beloved to Allah than all places are the Masjid, and the place most disliked is the marketplace. [Muslim, P337, Hadith 671]

To go to the Masjid in the morning and evening, is from the types of Jihad. [Tabarani, Mu’jam Kabir, V8, P177, Hadith7739]

Whoever wears an Imamah; he gains one virtue for every fold of the Imamah that he wraps around his head. [Suyuti, Al-Jami’ as-Saghir, Page 353, Hadith 5725]

Value five things before five things!

(1) Youth before old age (2) Health before illness (3) Wealth before poverty (4) Spare time before being busy (5) And life before death.

[Mustadrak, Vol. 5, Page 435, Hadith 7916]

Make things easy for people and do not make them difficult. Give good news and do not incite hatred. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 1, Page 42, Hadith 69]

The one who loves someone speaks about him abundantly. [Suyuti, Jami al-Saghir, Page 507, Hadith 8312]

Your best people are those who keep promises and bear good nature. [Musnad Abi Ya’la, Vol. 1, Page 451, Hadith 1047]

Sayyiduna Musa (Alayhis Salam) asked Allah Almighty, “What is the recompense for whosoever consoles a mother bereaved of her child?” Allah Almighty said, “I will grant him the shade of my mercy when there will be no other shade.” [Kanz al-Ummal, Vol. 8, Page 277, Hadith 42606, narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (Radi Allahu Anhu)]

Cleanliness is half of Iman (faith). [Jaami’ Tirmidhi, Vol. 5, Page 308, Hadith3530]

Saffron (yellowish) is a dye of a Mu’min. Henna (red) is a dye of a Muslim and black dye is for the Kafir. [Majma’ az-Zawaid, Hadith 8814]

Whoever has faith in his heart even equal to a mustard seed will not enter Hell. [Sahih Muslim, Page 61, Hadith 266]

A person observes humility for the pleasure of Allah, Allah bestows him with eminence. [Sahih Ibn Hibban, V7, P475, Hadith 5649]

DidYouKnow: It is the Sunnah that one should go to the door to bid farewell to his guest. [IbnMajah, V4, P52, Hadith 3358]

DidYouKnow: When anyone gifted fragrance to the Beloved Rasool ﷺ, He would not reject it. [Shamail al-Muhammadiyah, Hadith 208]

The siwak (miswak) cleans the mouth and pleases Allah. [Musnad Ahmad, Vol. 1, Page 186, Hadith 7]

If the people of the paradise had traded, they would have traded in cloth. [Musnad Abi Ya’la, Vol. 1, Page 104, Hadith 111, narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (Radi Allahu Anhu)]

Whenever three people go on a journey, they should choose one of them as the Leader. [AbuDawood, Vol. 3, Page 51, Hadith 2609]

When there are three people, two of them should not whisper leaving the third one. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 4, Page 185, Hadith 6288]

Travel at night as the earth is folded at night. [Sunan AbuDawood, Vol. 3, Page 40, Hadith 2571]

Whoever shoulders all 4 sides of the funeral bier, 40 of his major sins will be removed. [Tabarani, Mu’jam Awsat, Hadith 5920]

The blessed marriage is the one in which there is less burden. [Musnad Ahmad, Vol. 9, Page 365, Hadith 24583]

The good men amongst you are those who are good to their wives. [Sunan IbnMajah, Vol. 2, Page 478, Hadith 1978]

One who has good manners and is the most gentle with his wife is amongst those having perfect faith. [Tirmidhi, V2, P387, Hadith 1165]

The best is he who is better for his wife and I am better than all of you for my wife. [Tirmidhi, Vol. 5, Page 475, Hadith 3921]

The Holy Prophet (SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam) has said: The foundations of marriage to a woman is based on 4 things:

1. Her wealth,
2. The respectability of her family,

iii. Her beauty,

1. Her piety,

And you should choose a wife on her piety. Do not marry women for their beauty for it may lead to their doom. Do not marry them for their wealth, for it may lead them to fall into sin. Rather, marry them for her religion. A black slave woman with piercings who is religious is better.” [Sunan IbnMajah, Vol. 2, Page 415, Hadith 1859]

If modesty (Haya) was a man, it would be a pious man. [Tabarani, Mu’jam al-Awsat, Vol. 5, Page 76, Hadith 4719]

If you have mercy on animal, Allah will have mercy on you. [Musnad Imam Ahmad, Vol. 5, Page 304, Hadith 15592]

I forbade you to visit graves, but [I give you the permission now to] visit them. [Sahih Muslim, Book on Funerals, Vol. 1, Page 314]

I forbade you to visit graves, but you may now visit them, because they produce abstinence from the world and act as a reminder of the Hereafter. [Sunan Ibn Majah, Book on Funerals, Page 112]

Hadith Sharif on Excellence of Adhan and Salah

When the Adhan is called, the Doors of the Skies are opened and Duas (invocations) are accepted. [Kanz al-Ummal, Hadith 20910]

Allah gives protection from his punishment to that locality for the day wherein Adhan was called out. [Mu’jam Saghir, Hadith 499]

Shaytaan flees for 36 miles when it hears the Adhaan. [Sahih Muslim, Page 204, Hadith 388]

The necks of the Mu’azzins (Callers to Prayer) shall be the elevated on the day of Qiyaamat. [Muslim, Page 204, Hadith 387]

Jannah will be Waajib on a person who gives Adhan for 7 years solely for the pleasure of Allah. [Sunan IbnMajah, V1, P402, Hadith 727]

One who performed thorough Wudu and then performed his Namaz in the Masjid, is pardoned. [Sunan Nasai, Page 149, Hadith 853]

There is two folds reward for the person who performs proper Wudu in intense cold weather. [Mu’jam Awsat, V4, P106, Hadith 5366]

The coolness of my eyes is in Salah [prayer]. [Tabarani, V20, P420, Hadith 1012]

The one most deserving of the position of Imamat (leading the Salah) is one who knows the Quran more. [Sahih Muslim, Page 337, Hadith 672]

To perform Namaz with Jama’at (in congregation) is 27 times more virtuous than praying alone. [Bukhari, V1, P232, Hadith 645]

If people knew the reward for performing Salah in the first row, they would draw lots for it. [Bukhari, Vol. 1, Page 256, Hadith 721]

Whoever recites Ayat ul Kursi after every Salah, will be in the protection of Allah till the next Salah. [Hadith KanzulUmmal Daylami]

The Imam and the Mu’azzin receive reward equivalent to all those who performed Salah with them. [Kanz al-Ummal, Hadith 20370]

One who performs his Fajr as it becomes bright, Allah will brighten his grave and his heart. [Al-Firdaus, V3, P520, Hadith 5624]

There is not even a four finger spot in the skies where the Angels are not in the state of Sajdah. [Tirmidhi, V4, P141, Hadith 2319]

There is no share for him in Islam, who has no Namaz (Salah). [Kanz al-Ummal, Vol. 7, Page 133, Hadith 19094]

A worshiper without the knowledge of Fiqh is like a donkey strenuously laboring a millstone. [Kanz al-Ummal, Vol 10, Page 61, Hadith 28705]

He who has omitted Salah has no Deen. Salah is the Pillar of Deen (Islam). [Bayhaqi, Shu’ab al-Iman, V4, P39, Hadith 2807]

Allah & His Rasool ﷺ are not responsible for the one who intentionally omits his Salah. [Musnad Ahmad, V10, P386, Hadith 27433]

The one who intentionally leaves out his Namaz (Salah), has his name written on the door of hell. [Kanz al-Ummal, Hadith 19086]

Allah loves a person most when he sees him in the position of Sajdah. [Tabarani, Mu’jam Awsat, Vol. 4, Page 308, Hadith 6075]

All the participants of the funeral Salah of a true believer are forgiven. [At-Targheeb wat-Tarheeb, Vol. 4, Page 178, Hadith 13]

The Noblest Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) said to his beloved uncle Sayyiduna Abbas (Radi Allahu Anhu), “O uncle! If possible offer Salat-ut-Tasbeeh once daily, and if this is not possible daily then offer it once every Friday, and if this is not possible then offer it once in each month, and if this is not possible then offer it once in the year, and if this is not possible then once in a lifetime.” [Sunan Abi Dawud, Vol. 2, Page 44, vol. 2, Hadith 1297]

Hadith Sharif on Excellence of Friday

If a man takes bath on Friday; purifies himself as much as he can with ablution, applies oil from his oils, or uses any available perfume in his house, then goes out and, without squeezing between two men, prays what is prescribed for him, then remains silent when the Imam speaks (delivers sermon) his (minor) sins between that time and the next Friday will be forgiven.” [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 1, Page 121, Book on the Friday Prayer]

The taking of a bath on Friday is compulsory for every Muslim who has attained the age of puberty. [Sahih Al Bukhari Vol.2 Hadith 895]

When Friday comes, the angels stand at the door of the mosque recording the people in the order of their arrival. The parable of the first comer is like the parable of one who sends (to Makkah) a she-camel for sacrifice; the man who comes next is like the one who sends a cow for sacrifice, next a sheep, next like the one who sends a hen, next like the one who sends an egg. Then when the Imam stand up (on the Minbar/Pulpit) to deliver the sermon, they close their sheets and listen to the remembrance (sermon).” [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 1, Page 127, Book on the Friday Prayer / Sahih Muslim, Vol. 1, Page 282, Book on the Friday Prayer]

Be present at the sermon (delivered on Fridays) and draw near the Imam; because whoever always keeps far away will likewise, be far away (towards the back) in Paradise, even though he will enter it.” [Sunan Abi Dawud, Vol. 1, Page 158, Book on Prayer]

The one who visits the graves of either of or both of his parents on every Friday, Allah will forgive his sins and his name will be recorded as one treating the parents courteously. [Tabarani, Al-Mu’jam al-Awsat, Vol. 4, Page 321, Hadith 6114]

The one who visits the graves of either of or both of his deceased parents on Friday and recites Surah Yasin over there, will be forgiven. [Al-Kamil fi Du’afa ar-Rijal, Vol. 6, Page 260]

The Ghusl performed on Friday pulls out wrongdoings from the roots of hair. [Tabarani, Mu’jam Awsat, V8, P256, Hadith 7996]

The one who talks on Friday, whilst the Imam is delivering the sermon, is like a donkey carrying the books. [Musnad Ahmad, Hadith 2033]

The one who passes over people’s necks on Friday, makes a bridge towards Hell. [Tirmidhi, Vol. 2, Page 48, Hadith 513]

Allah and His Angels send Salat upon those who wear Turban on Friday. [Majma’ az-Zawaid, Vol. 2, Page 394, Hadith 3075]

The angels tie the turban on Friday and send peace until sunset upon those who wear turban. [Fatawa Radawiyyah, Vol. 6, Page 215]

Whoever recites Surah Yasin on the night before Friday, forgiveness will be granted for him. [At-Targhib wat-Tarhib, P298, V1, Hadith 4]

The one who recites Surah Kahf on Friday, Noor will be brightened for him between two Fridays. [Bayhaqi, Vol. 3, Page 353, Hadith 5996]

Whoever recites Surah Kahf on the night before Friday, a Noor is illuminated between him and the Kabah. [Shu’ab al-Iman, Hadith 2444]

The one reciting Surah Dukhan on Friday or Friday-night, will be forgiven (in sha’ Allah). [Jaami’ Tirmidhi, V4, P407, Hadith 2898]

On Friday, there is one such a moment which if a Muslim gets and asks Allah for anything in that moment, Allah will definitely grant him. That moment is very short. [Sahih Muslim, Page 424, Hadith 852]

On Friday, look for the moment that is desired from ‘Asr to the sunset. [Jami’ Tirmidhi, Vol. 2, Page 30, Hadith 489]

The one abandoning three Jumuah’s Salah (Prayer) out of laziness, Allah will seal his heart. [Al Mustadrak, Vol. 1, Page 589, Hadith 1120]

Hadith Sharif on Respite to a Poor Debtor

The one who gives a respite to a poor debtor or forgives his debt, Allah Almighty will give him space under the shade of His Arsh on the day when there will be no other shade except the shade of the Arsh. [Tirmidhi, Vol. 3, Page 52, Hadith 1310]

The one who will bless a poor person (a borrower) with easiness, Allah will bless him with easiness in the world and the Hereafter. [Sunan IbnMajah, Vol. 3, Page 147, Hadith 2417]

Undoubtedly, on the Day of Judgement, the person who will be blessed first with the shade of the Arsh will be the one who has given a respite to a debtor or given him the debt as Sadaqah. [Al-Mu’jam al-Kabir, Vol. 19, Page 167, Hadith 377]

When I watched Paradise, I found out that most Paradise-dwellers are poor. [Musnad Ahmad, Musnad Abdullah bin Abbas, V1, P504, Hadith 2086]

On the Day of Judgement, when there will be no other shade except the shade of the Arsh of Allah Almighty, three people will be under the shade of the Arsh of Allah Almighty:

1. The person who removes the worry of any of my Ummati (followers).
2. The one who revives my Sunnah.
3. The one who recited Salat upon me abundantly.

Hadith Sharif on Sustenance and Gratitude

If you commit any sin, repent immediately. Repent secretly for secret sins and publicly for public sins. [Kanz al-Ummal, Hadith 10176]

Sustenance (Rizq) searches for a person like a person’s death searches for him. [Musnad al-Bazzaar, Vol. 10, Page 37, Hadith 4099]

Seeking Halal (lawful) earning is Jihad and Allah likes a person who joins a profession. [Ibn Abid Dunya, Vol. 1, Page 71, Hadith 204]

One should stick to the means whereby he gets sustenance. [Shu’ab al-Iman, Vol. 2, Page 89, Hadith 1241]

Indeed sustenance searches for a person as his death searches for him. [Sahih IbnHibbaan, Vol. 4, Page 98, Hadith 3227]

Whosoever seeks his sustenance early Saturday morning, then I guarantee for him his sustenance. [Kanz al-Ummal, V6, P520, Hadith 16812]

Honor the good thing as this thing (i.e. bread) does not return if it has run away from any nation. [IbnMajah, Hadith 3353]

A guest comes with his sustenance. And when he leaves, he becomes the cause of forgiveness for the host. [Daylami, Hadith 3711]

Goodness reaches the house where guests are present faster than even the knife on the hump of the camel. [IbnMajah, Hadith 3356]

Best earning is the earning through hand provided that the worker works with sincerity. [Musnad Ahmad, Vol. 3, Page 231, Hadith 8420]

Look at those beneath you (in worldly matters), not those above you. This is better for you so that you do not deprive yourselves from the blessings of Allah. [Tabarani, Al-Mu’jam al-Awsat, Vol. 2, Page 18, Hadith 2343]

The one who remains pleased with Allah Almighty over less sustenance, Allah Almighty gets pleased with him over his less action. [Bayhaqi, Shu’ab al-Iman, Vol. 4, Page 139, Hadith 4585]

The one who has not expressed his gratitude to people, in fact, has not expressed his gratitude to Allah. [Tirmidhi, Vol. 3, Page 384, Hadith 1962]

Indeed, due to sin, a man is deprived of the sustenance which was to reach him. [Hakim, Al-Mustadrak, V2, P162, Hadith 1857]

Hadith Sharif on Supporting Orphans, Widows and the Poor

When Allah intends to do good to a person, then He uses him in order to fulfill the needs of the people. [Shu’ab al-Iman, Hadith 7659]

Everything has a key and the key to Jannah is loving the orphans and the poor. [Kanz al-Ummal, Vol. 6, Page 469, Hadith 16587]

The one who strives to support the widow and the poor is like a Mujahid who fights in the cause of Allah, and like one who stands in the night (in voluntary prayer) and fasts by day. [Ibn Majah Book 12 Hadith 2223]

The one who takes the responsibility for financially supporting an orphan or a widow, Allah Almighty will give him space under the shade of His Arsh and will make him enter paradise. [Majma’ az-Zawaid, Vol. 3, Page 114, Hadith 164]

The one who feeds a hungry person, Allah Almighty will give him space under the shade of His Arsh. [Makarim al-Akhlaq, Page 373, Hadith 164]

The Muslim who feeds any hungry Muslim, Allah will make him eat the fruits of Paradise. [AbuDawood, V2, P180, Hadith 1682]

Keep the destitute close to you so that Allah will bestow His closeness upon you on the Day of Judgement. [Mishkat, V1, P255, Hadith 5244]

The Muslim who clothes any Muslim lacking in clothes, Allah will make him wear the clothes of Paradise. [AbuDawood, Hadith 1682]

Allah continues to help the bondman as long as he continues to help his brother. [Tirmidhi, Vol. 3, Page 373, Hadith 1937]

Adopt humbleness and sit with the poor, you will be a high-ranking bondman of Allah. [Kanz al-Ummal, Vol 3, Page 49, Hadith 5722]

Hadith Sharif on 16 Signs of a good farewell from this world

1. A person whose last words are لا اله الا الله محمد رسول الله will enter Paradise. [Abu Dawood, Vol. 3, Page 190, Hadith 3116]

2. Whoever departs this world with sincerity towards Allah, worshiping Him alone with no partner, establishing regular prayer and paying Zakah, he dies while Allah is pleased with him. [Ibn Majah, Vol. 1, Page 27, Hadith 70]

3. There is no Muslim who dies on the day of Friday or the night of Friday, but Allah will protect him from the trial (fitnah) of the grave. [Tirmidhi, Vol. 2, Page 377, Hadith 1074]

4. Whoever is killed for the sake of Allah is a martyr, and whoever dies for the sake of Allah is a martyr. [Sahih Muslim, Vol. 3, Page 1521, Hadith 1915]

5. The martyrs are five: the one who dies of plague, the one who dies of a stomach disease, the one who drowns, the one who is crushed by a falling wall, and the one who is martyred for the sake of Allah. [Sahih Bukhari, Hadith 2829]

6. A woman who dies with a child in her womb attains martyrdom, and her child will drag her by his umbilical cord to Paradise. [Musnad Ahmad, Vol. 25, Page 378, Hadith 15998]

7. Whoever is killed defending his wealth is a martyr; whoever is killed defending his religion is a martyr; whoever is killed in self-defence is a martyr. [Tirmidhi, Vol. 3, Page 82, Hadith 1421]

8. If a person dies guarding the borders of Islam, he will go on receiving the reward for this great deed and his provision (continually), and he will be spared the questioning in the grave. [Sahih Muslim, Vol. 3, Page 1520, Hadith 1913]

9. Any woman who dies whilst her husband is pleased with her, shall enter Paradise. [Tirmidhi, Vol. 2, Page 386, Hadith 1164]

10. Whosoever can (is able to) should die in Madinah Munawwarah because I shall intercede for the one who dies in Madinah Munawwarah. [Shu’ab al-Iman, Vol. 3, Page 497, Hadith 1482]

11. The person who dies in any of the Haramayn (i.e. Makkah Mukarramah and Madinah Munawwarah) will be resurrected by Allah in such a state that he will have no fear of the Judgement Day. [Shu’ab al-Iman, Vol. 3, Page 490, Hadith 4158]

12. There will be no accountability for the one who departs for Hajj or Umrah and dies on the way and He will be ordered to enter the Paradise. [Tirmidhi, Vol. 5, Page 483, Hadith 3943]

13. One who comes out of his house for performing Hajj or Umrah and dies, Allah will grant the reward of Hajj or Umrah for him until the Day of Judgment. [Bayhaqi, Shu’ab al-Iman, Vol. 6, Page 15, Hadith 3806]

14. Whoever dies in the state of fasting, Allah will write fasts in his account up to the Day of Judgement. [Musnad al-Firdaws, Vol. 3, Page 504, Hadith 5557]

15. If anyone dies at the end of the day of Arafah (i.e. 9th of Zul-Hijjah), he will enter Heaven. [Hilyat al-Awliya, Vol. 5, Page 26, Hadith 6187]

16. A believer dies with sweat on his forehead. [Nasa’i, Vol. 4, Page 5, Hadith 1828]

Hadith Sharif on Sickness and Importance of Visiting Patients

One who performs wudu and visits a patient, he will be moved away from Hell at a distance of 70 years. [AbuDawood, Hadith 3097]

When you visit a patient, ask him to make Dua for you, as his Dua is like Dua of the Angles. [IbnMajah, V2, P191, Hadith 1441]

No Dua of a patient is rejected until he recovers. [At-Targheeb wa at-Tarheeb, Vol. 4, Page 166, Hadith 19]

Visit patients and attend funeral processions; they will keep reminding you of the Hereafter. [Musnad Ahmad, Hadith 11180]

Whoever visits a patient, it is announced from the sky, “You have made your abode in Paradise.” [IbnMajah, V2, P192 Hadith 1443]

The Prophet of Rahmah (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) has said: When a person falls ill, Allah sends two angels and instructs them to go and see what His bondsman says. If the sick praises Allah (i.e. uttering الحمد لله), then the angels humbly state his utterance to Allah, and Allah knows better. Allah says, ‘If I give this bondsman death due to this illness, I will make him enter Paradise and if I bestow health upon him, I will give him better flesh and blood than before and forgive his sins.’ [Muwatta Imam Maalik, Vol. 2, Page 429, Hadith 1798]

Seek treatment, Oh servants of Allah! For He who has sent sickness has also sent the cure for every sickness. [Kanz al-Ummal, Hadith 28089]

Do not pretend to be sick because you will really get sick. [Al-Maqasid al-Hasanah, Vol. 1, Page 715, Hadith 1287]

Hadith Sharif on the Importance of Dua

The Prophet of Allah SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam narrates from his Lord who says: “Oh children of Adam Alaihis Salam! Until such time you make Du‘a to Me and have trust and hope in Me, I will continue forgiving your sins no matter what they are, and I do not care of anything (i.e. He is Independent.)” [ Jaami’ Tirmidhi, Hadith 3463]

Purify what you eat, your prayers will be answered. [Tabarani, Al-Mu’jam al-Awsat, Vol. 5, Page 24, Hadith 6495]

The Master of the Sinless, Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) states: “A servant’s supplication (du’a) is never void of three things:

(1) either his sins are forgiven,

(2) or he benefits in this world,

(3) or virtues are accumulated for him in the hereafter.

When the servant will observe this reward (Thawab) accumulated for him in the hereafter in compensation for that which was not fulfilled in the Duniyah, then he will desire that none of his desires should have been fulfilled in the world, but rather be accumulated for the hereafter. [Sunan Tirmidhi, Kitab al-Da’waat, Vol. 5, Page 292, Hadith 3490]

Allah Almighty is very displeased with those who do not make Dua to Him. [Jami’ Tirmidhi, Vol. 5, Page 244, Hadith 3373]

Allah is modest and generous. He dislikes it if His servants lift up their hands towards Him and get nothing. [Tirmidhi, Hadith 3556]

Two du’as are not rejected: Du’a at the time of the call to prayer and the Du’a at the time of rain. [Tabarani, Al-Mu’jam al-Kabeer, Hadith 5756]

A calamity descends and then it is encountered by Dua. Then they continue to fight until the Day of Judgement. [Mustadrak, Hadith 1856]

Destiny can be changed through Dua and life can be increased through good deeds. [Hakim, Al-Mustadrak, V2, P162,  Hadith 1857]

Dua is a weapon of a Muslim, a pillar of faith and a light from the heavens and the earth. [Musnad Abi Ya’la, Vol. 1, Page 215, Hadith 435]

You gain no Divine help and livelihood except through the blessings and Duas of the poor. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 2, Page 280, Hadith 2896]

Allah will elevate the rank of a person in Paradise due to the Dua made by his son for his forgiveness. [Mishkat, Hadith 2354]

A Muslim who makes Dua for another Muslim in his absence gets accepted very quickly. [Abu Dawud]

Dua (supplication) is not rejected in the time between Adhan and Iqaamat. [Sunan AbuDawood, Vol. 1, Page 220, Hadith 561]

When the Adhan is called, the Doors of the Skies are opened and Duas (invocations) are accepted. [Kanz al-Ummal, Hadith 20910]

Dua (Supplication) of three people are undoubtedly answered:

1. An oppressed person,
2. A Traveler, and
3. A father (for his children).

Your prayers are answered as long as you don’t hurry, don’t say I prayed (but) my prayer wasn’t answered. [Sahih Bukhari, V4, P200, Hadith 6340]

Hadrat Uthman ibn Haneef radi Allahu anhu reports that a blind person came to Rasoolullah (SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam) and requested a dua. Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam) instructed him to make the following supplication, “O Allah عزوجل I ask from Thee and turn towards You with the Prophet of Mercy, Muhammad (SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam). Ya Muhammad (SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam) I have turned towards my Lord using your means in this need of mine so that it is fulfilled. Ya Allah عزوجل Accept the intercession of Rasoolullah (SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam) for me.” Hadrat Abu Ishaaq radi Allahu anhu states that this Hadith is Sahih (sound).” [Hadith, Ibn Majah, Baabu Salaatil-Haaja]

Hadith Sharif on Importance of Istighfar

Without doubt, just like iron, the heart also rusts; reciting Istighfar cleanses it. [Majma’ az-Zawaid, V10, P346, Hadith 17575]

Whoever likes that his Book of Deeds should make him happy, he should increase Istighfar in it. [Majma’ az-Zawaid, Hadith 17579]

Glad Tidings are for him who finds Istighfar in abundance in his record of deeds. [Sunan IbnMajah, Vol. 4, Page 257, Hadith 3818]

Whosoever makes Istighfar necessary for himself, Allah will distance every worry from him. – [Ibn Majah Vol. 4 Page 257 Hadith 3819]

When a person admits his sin, then repents, Allah accepts his repentance. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 2, Page 199, Hadith 2661]

There is no man who commits a sin then he performs ablution and does it well, then he prays two Rak’ah, and seeks the forgiveness of Allah, but Allah will forgive him. [Musnad Ahmad, Vol. 1, Page 179, Hadith 2]

If you commit so many sins that they reach to the sky, then repent; Allah will accept your repentance. [IbnMajah, Hadith 4248]

If you commit any sin, repent immediately. Repent secretly for secret sins and publicly for public sins. [Hadith KanzulUmmal]

Perform a good deed, after committing a sin (in error), it will erase it. [Musnad Imam Ahmad, Vol. 8, Page 92, Hadith 21460]

The condition of one who repents from sins is similar to a person who has not committed any sin. [IbnMajah, Hadith 4250]

Whatever adversity a Muslim faces, even if he is pricked by a thorn, Allah makes this an atonement for his sins. [Sahih Bukhari, Hadith 5641]

Whosoever seeks forgiveness on behalf of believing men and women, Allah shall write for him a good deed (equal to) each believing man and woman. [Al-Tabarani in al-Kabir]

Whosoever seeks forgiveness twenty seven times in a day for the believing men and women then he will become from those who are answered and by whom the dwellers of earth are given sustenance. [Al-Tabarani in al-Kabir]

Whosoever begins his day with goodness and ends it with goodness then Allah says to the Angels, ‘Do not write the (minor) sins between the two’. [Kanz al-‘Ummal]

Do not insult the fever, for it removes the sins of the son of Adam as the bellows remove the dross from iron. [Sahih Muslim, Hadith 2575, P1392]

Do not neglect to seek refuge from the shaytan, for if you do not see him, he is not unaware of you. [Musnad al-Firdous, Vol. 5, Page 47, Hadith 7414]

Hadith Sharif on Importance of Forgiving

Whoever accepts the apology of a Muslim brother when he seeks an excuse, will go to the pond of Kawthar. [Tabarani, Hadith 6295]

Whoever is not merciful to others, will not receive mercy; whoever does not forgive, will not be forgiven. [Musnad Ahmad, Hadith 19264]

Whoever forgives despite having the ability to take revenge is the most dignified person before Allah. [Bayhaqi, Hadith 8327]

The best manner of the world and the Hereafter is that you forgive those who do injustice to you. [Mustadrak, Hadith7367]

If a person forgives someone’s mistake then Allah increases his honour and respect. [Sahih Muslim, Page 1397, Hadith 2588]

Do not do evil to those who do evil to you, but deal with them with forgiveness and kindness. [Sahih Bukhari, Hadith2125]

Have mercy on others & you will be showered with mercy. Adopt forgiveness, Allah will forgive you. [Musnad Ahmad, Hadith 7062]

The best among all people is the one who treats his relatives with kindness the most. [Musnad Ahmad, V10, P402, Hadith 27504]

Whoever wants a long life and increase in his sustenance should fear Allah and treat his relatives politely. [Hadith Mustadrak]

One who treats relatives with kindness will be under the shade of the Arsh on the Day of Judgement. [Daylami, Hadith 2526]

The one who severs relations will not enter Paradise. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 4, Page 97, Hadith 5984]

Mend relations with those who try to break ties with you and forgive those who are unjust towards you. [Mu’jam Awsaṭ, V4, P18, ‪Hadith 5064]

Hadith Sharif on Importance of Sadaqah Charity

You will be given the reward of whatever you spend, seeking the pleasure of Allah. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 4, Page 12, Hadith 5668]

A person came to the Prophet of Allah (SallAllahu Alayka wa Sallam) and inquired: “What is the greatest form of charity?” The Prophet (SallAllahu Alayka wa Sallam) replied: ‘The best Sadaqah is when you give charity while in good health and when you are in possession of wealth, when you desire to be wealthy and fear of being poor. Do not wait for the moment when your soul is stuck in the throat and they say, “Give so much charity to certain person and give certain person that much, etc.” It is useless to distribute your wealth on your last moments because it is already destined for the inheritance of others. [Sahih Muslim, Ch:7, p.104, Hadith 12335, narrated by Sayyiduna Abu-Hurayra radi Allahu anhu]

Start your morning with ‪‎Sadaqah because trouble does not approach due to giving Sadaqah. [Shu’ab al-Iman, Vol. 3, Page 214, ‪‎Hadith 3353]

Sadaqah of a Muslim increases his life span and due to it, Allah removes poverty and pride. [Majma’ az-Zawaid, Hadith 4609]

Secret charity saves you from bad death and cools the Anger of Almighty Allah. [Al-Mu’jam al-Kabir, Vol. 5, Page 131, Hadith 3298]

Protect yourselves from the Fire even if it were with (giving) the half of a date, because it straightens that which is crooked, repels an evil death, and it stands with the hungry one in its stead with the satiated one. [Musnad Abi Yala, Vol. 1, Page 86, Hadith 85]

Your act of pouring water from your bucket into the bucket of your brother is Sadaqah. [Sunan Tirmidhi, Vol. 3, Page 384,  Hadith 1963]

If a Muslim plants a tree and then anyone eats from it, there is a reward of Sadaqah (charity) for a person who planted it. [Sahih Musilm, Page 646, Hadith 3968]

The most preferred Sadaqah is the one that is given to a relative who holds concealed enmity. [Musnad Ahmad, V9, P138, Hadith 23589]

Reward is granted even if man serves water to his wife. [Musnad Ahmad, Vol. 6, Page 85, Hadith 17155]

The one who (lawfully) spends on his wife, children & family, it is also charity for him. [Majma az-Zawaid, Vol. 3, Page 302, Hadith 4666]

There is thawaab (reward) in giving comfort to every living creature. [Bayhaqi, Sunan Al-Kubra, Vol. 4, Page 311, Hadith 7806]

Hadith Sharif on Eating etiquettes and Health Benefits

Eat in the name of Allah using your right hand, from the side closest to you. From then onwards, that is how I eat. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 3, Page 521, Hadith 5376]

Eat sitting together and recite بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم there will be blessing in your food. [AbuDawood, V3, P486, Hadith 3764]

Eat together. Do not eat separately, as blessing is with the group. [Sunan IbnMajah, Vol. 4, Page 21, Hadith 3287]

The one who picks up the bits of food that have fallen on the dining-mat and eats them, will live a life of affluence and his offspring and the offspring of his offspring will be protected from unwisdom (ignorance). [Kanz al-Ummal, Vol. 15, Page 111, Hadith 40815]

Allow hot food to cool before eating, as hot food contains no blessing. [Hakim, Mustadrak Ala al-Sahihayn, Vol. 4, Page 132, Hadith 7125]

One who drinks water in the morning (before eating anything else), his strength decreases. [Majma’ az-Zawaid, Vol. 5, Page 142, Hadith 8292]

Do not leave dinner. At least eat a fistful of dates (if you don’t find anything). Because leaving dinner makes old age befall (quicker). [Sunan IbnMajah, Vol. 4, Page 50, Hadith 3355]

Do not compel your ailing people on eating and drinking because Allah feeds them. [Sunan IbnMajah, Vol. 4, Page 91, Hadith 3444]

Allah has not placed a cure in things which are Haraam. [Tabarani, Al-Mu’jam al-Kabeer, Vol. 23, Page 326, Hadith 749]

You must eat red lentils because it contains blessing that softens the heart and increases tears. It contains the blessings of 70 blessed Ambiya including Sayyiduna Isa (Alayhis Salam). [Daylami, Firdaus al-Akhbar, Vol. 2, Page 67, Hadith 3876]

Eat quince (a fruit like pear and apple) in the morning (before eating anything else) because it removes heartburn. [Suyuti, Jami’ as-Sagheer, Page 398, Hadith 6404]

Eating dates in the morning before eating anything else kills stomach worms. [Suyuti, Jami’ as-Sagheer, Page 398, Hadith 6394]

By eating date, one does not get afflicted with the ailment of colic (i.e. appendix pain). [Kanz al-Ummal, Vol. 5, Page 12, Hadith 28191]

If anyone eats seven Ajwah dates in the morning (before eating anything else), he will remain safe from magic spell and poison that day. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 3, Page 540, Hadith 5225]

Ajwah date is from Paradise. It possesses cure from poison. [Sunan Tirmidhi, Vol. 4, Page 17, Hadith 2073]

Eating seven Ajwah dates of Madinah Munawwarah daily for seven days are beneficial for leprosy. [Al-Kamil li Ibn Adee, Vol. 7, Page 409, Hadith 1670]

Eat olive and use its oil, because it has cure for 70 diseases. Out of which, leprosy is one of them. [Suyuti, Jami’ as-Sagheer, Page 398, Hadith 6392]

Eating watermelon before meal washes stomach thoroughly and uproots the disease completely. [Kanz al-Ummal, Vol. 5, Page 20, Hadith 28283]

A Talbinah comforts an ill heart and removes some grief. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 4, Page 19, Hadith 5689]  ( Talbina is a soup made from barley flour, formed by adding milk and honey to the dried barley powder. It is called talbina, which comes from the Arabic word laban meaning yogurt, because of its resemblance to yogurt, as it is soft and white. )

There is a cure for every ailment in Talbinah. [Kanz al-Ummal, Vol. 15, Page 16, Hadith 28242]

Large Raisins (Munaqqa) strengthen blood vessels and muscles, eliminate weakness, calm down anger, eliminate phlegm, brighten up facial complexion, and make mouth fragrant. [Kashf al-Khifa, Vol. 2, Page 291, Hadith 2839]  ( Small sized raisins are referred to as Kishmish and large sized raisins are referred to as Munaqqa in Urdu, resemble like kishmish but it is black in colour. )

Nigella Seeds (Kalonji or Kalwanji) have cure for every ailment except death. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 4, Page 8, Hadith 5687]

Hold firm upon cucumber because Allah has bestowed cure for every ailment in it. [KanzulUmmal, Vol. 5, Page 19, Hadith 28277]

The one who licks honey in the morning for three days every month, no major calamity would befall him. [Sunan IbnMajah, Vol. 4, Page 94, Hadith 3450]

Zamzam is food in place of food or medication in place of medicine. [Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah, Vol. 4, Page, 358, Hadith 2]

Sip and drink and do not gulp and swallow in big amounts for it causes the liver diseases. [Jami’ as-Saghir, Vol. 1, Page 49, Hadith 710]

Stomach is the pond of body and veins are connected to it. If stomach is fine, then veins return back fine too. And if the stomach is unwell, then veins return back with an illness. [Bayhaqi, Shu’ab al-Iman, Vol. 5, Page 66, Hadith 5796]

Man does not fill any container worse than his stomach. [IbnMajah Hadith 3349]

Adopt moderation in eating and drinking as this is a cure for numerous diseases. [Kashf al-Khifa, Volume 1, Page 221, Hadith 760]

Fast and you will get healthy. [Tabarani, Al-Mu’jam Al-Kabir, Vol. 6, Page 147, Hadith 8312]

Travel, you will become healthy. [Suyuti, Al-Jami’ as-Sagheer, Page 284, Hadith 4624]

Do not bathe with water that has been heated by the sun as this causes leprosy. [Sunan Daraqutni, Vol. 1, Page 54, Hadith 85]

Surah al Fatiha is a cure for every illness. [Darimi, Vol. 2, Page 538, Hadith 337]

There are two blessings in which many people are in loss: (1) Good Health (2) Spare time. [Sahih Bukhari, Hadith 6412]

Hadith Sharif on Excellence of Al-Sham

I saw the pillar of Quran was taken from under my pillow. I followed it until it reached Al-Shaam. [Musnad Ahmad, Hadith 21733]

Indeed Allah has taken special assurance of Al-Shaam and its people for my sake. [Sunan AbuDawud, Vol. 3, Page 4, Hadith 2483]

The heart of the abode of Islam is al-Shaam. [Tabarani, Mu’jam Kabeer, Vol. 7, Page 53, Hadith 6359]

Behold, indeed the heart of the abode of the believers is al-Sham. [Musnad Ahmad, Vol. 28, Page 164, Hadith 16965]

Allah divided evil into 10 parts: one of which 1 is in al-Sham and 9 elsewhere. [Tarikh Dimashq, Vol. 1, Page 144, Hadith 221]

Allah divided good into 10 parts, 9 of which were placed in al-Sham and one of which elsewhere. [Tarikh Dimashq, Hadith 221]

Al-Shaam is Allah’s chosen land to which His best servants will be gathered. [Sunan AbuDawud, Vol. 3, Page 4, Hadith 2483]

The angels of Allah, the most gracious, have spread their wings over Al-Sham. [Tirmidhi, Vol. 6, Page 228, Hadith 3954]

Al-Sham is Allah’s finest land to which He will drive the elite of His servants. [Tabarani, Mu’jam Kabir, V8, P201, Hadith 7718]

Verily! Iman at the time of fitan (trials and turmoil) will be found in al-Sham. [Musnad Ahmad, Vol. 36, Page 62, Hadith 21733]

Water and believers will always be found in al-Sham. [Tabarani, Al-Mu’jam al-Kabeer, Vol. 9, Page 172, Hadith 8856]

There will come a time that there will be no believer except that he will have moved to al-Sham. [Mustadrak Hakim, Hadith 8461]

Hadith Sharif on Excellence of A True Believer

One who loves for Allah, hates anyone because of Allah, spends for Allah and holds back for Allah, then, indeed, he has completed his Iman. [Sunan Abi Dawood, Vol 2, Page 632 – Hadith 4681]

None amongst you is a [true] believer (mu’min), unless I am most beloved to him; and dearer to him than his own father, his children and all the people in the world. [Sahih Al-Bukhari 1:7 and Sahih Muslim 1:49]

Beware of the perception of a true believer (Mu’min) because he sees with the Noor of Allah. [Tirmidhi, Vol. 5, Page 88, Hadith 3138]

A good companion is the one whose sight reminds you of Allah and his actions remind you of the Hereafter. [Shu’ab al-Iman, Hadith 9446]

The remembrance of Allah comes to your heart when you see the Awliya of Allah. [Kanz al-Ummal, Vol. 1, Page 214, Hadith 1779]

Seek goodness and (find solutions to) your needs from the ones with beautiful faces (Hisan al-Wujuh). [Al-Mu’jam al-Kabir, narrating from ibn ‘Abbas, Hadith 11110, (Al-Maktabat al-Faisaliyya, Beirut), Vol. 11, Page 81]

Seek goodness from the merciful people of my Ummah. You will live in peace under them. [Suyuti, Jami’ Saghir, Vol 1, Page 72, Hadith 1106]

There are many people in rags that if they swear to Allah on any matter, Allah fulfills their oath. [IbnHibban, V8, P139, Hadith 6449]

There will always be forty men on this Earth till the Day of Judgement by whom Allah protects this Earth. [Kanz al-Ummal, Hadith 34614]

Imam Ahmad narrates from Sayyiduna Ali (Radi Allahu Anhu) through Hasan chain that the Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) has said;

“The Abdal are in Sham (Syria) and they are forty in total. When one of them passes away, Allah replaces him with another. Due to them the rain falls, the enemies are defeated and the punishment of Allah is turned away from the people of Sham.” [Musnad Ahmad bin Hanbal, Vol.1, Page 112]

The Abdaal are in Al-Shaam. By their grace the people become victorious and are provided with sustenance. [Al-Mu’jam al-Kabir, Hadith 120]

Indeed Allah supports a nation because of their weak. [Kanz al-Ummal, Vol. 4, Page 357, Hadith 10882]

Allah (Azza wa Jal) has said, ‘Whoever adopt enmity towards a Wali [friend] of mine, I declare war on him. Of all of the things through which my servant seeks nearness to me, the Faraid [Obligatory Acts] are most beloved to me. And he continues to gain nearness to me by means of Nawafil (Supererogatory Salah), until I make him my beloved. If he asks of me, I will surely bestow upon him, and if he seeks refuge, I will surely grant him refuge.’ [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 4, Page 248, Hadith 6502]

Surely Allah eliminates calamities from the neighboring hundred houses of the pious Muslims. [At-Targhib wat-Tarhib, V3, P363, Hadith 39]

Verily Allah will send at the beginning of every century such a person for this Ummah who will rejuvenate and restore their religion(Deen). [Sunan Abi Dawud, Hadith 4291 and many others]

Mercy descends when the righteous are mentioned. [Hilyat al-Awliya’, Vol. 7, Page 335, Hadith 10750]

Hadith Sharif on World and The Hereafter

The Duniya (world) is a Jail for a Mu’min (believer) and Paradise for a Kaafir (non-believer). [Sahih Muslim, Page 1582, Hadith 2956]

Live in the world like a traveler. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 4, Page 223, Hadith 6416]

The love of status increases hypocrisy in a Muslim’s heart just like water increases the growth of grass. [Kanz al-Ummal, Hadith 40652]

The one who loves his world, harms his Hereafter and the one who loves his Hereafter, harms his world. Hence you prefer the immortal (Hereafter) to the mortal (world). [Musnad Imam Ahmad, Vol. 7, Page 165, Hadith 19717]

The world is the home of the one who has no home (in the Hereafter) and the world is the wealth of the one who has no other wealth and the person who saves for the world has no wisdom. [Bayhaqi, Shu’ab al-Iman, Vol. 7, Page 375, Hadith 10638]

The one whose intention is towards the Hereafter, Allah will make all of his matters proper for his ease of mind and will put the unwillingness of this world in his heart and the world will come to him by itself. [Sunan IbnMajah, Vol. 4, Page 424, Hadith 4105]

Allah will make all the affairs of the person who is always worried about the world (and does not care for the religion) troublesome and his poverty will always be in front of him and he will get the world as much as is written in his destiny. [IbnMajah, V4, P424, Hadith 4105]

A person who ruins his afterlife for anyone’s worldly life has the worst abode. [Tabarani, Mu’jam Kabeer, Vol. 8, Page 122, Hadith 7559]

“Whoever intends to earn the afterlife, Allah will place contentment in his heart and solve his necessities and the world will come to him being disgraced, and whoever intends to acquire the world then Allah will place poverty in front of his eyes and would keep his matters unsolved and he will only have access to the world till the extent of what is written for him.” [Jami’ at-Tirmidhi, Vol. 4, Page 211, Hadith 2473]

When a person dies, the angels say: What did he send forward? And people ask: What did he leave behind? [Bayhaqi, Shu’ab al-Iman, Vol. 7, Page 328, Hadith 10475]

Three things go with the deceased: (1) His family members (2) his wealth and (3) his deeds. Then two things return and one stays with him. His family members and wealth return, whereas his deeds go with him. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 4, Page 250, Hadith 6514]

The condition of a deceased in his grave is like that of a drowning person; he waits anxiously for Dua from his father, his mother, his brother or his friend. When anyone’s Dua reaches him, he considers it better than the world and everything that it contains. Allah bestows the reward gifted by living associates of the deceased like mountains. The gift of the living to the dead is to make Dua for their forgiveness. [Bayhaqi, Shu’ab al-Iman, Vol. 6, Page 203, Hadith 7905]

To meditate (on matters of the Hereafter) for a moment is better than 60 years of worship. [Suyuti, Jami’ Saghir, Hadith 5897]

The Beloved Rasool (SallAllahu Alayka wa Sallam) stated that Allah Almighty says:

“Some Mu’min bondmen of Mine are such that goodness of their Iman (faith) lies in them being rich. If I do not make them rich, then they will indulge in Kufr (disbelief). And some Mu’min bondmen of Mine are such that goodness of their Iman (faith) lies in them not being rich. If I make them rich, then they will indulge in Kufr (disbelief).” [Kanz al-Ummal, Vol. 1, Page 231, Hadith 1160]

If man had 2 valleys of wealth, he would still wish for a 3rd one. Only the sand of the grave can fill his stomach. [Sahih Muslim, Hadith 1050]

Blessed is he who is guided to Islam, and whose livelihood is just sufficient and who is contented therewith. [Tirmidhi, IbnMajah]

If the value of the world were equal to even a mosquito’s wing to Allah, He would not give even a mouthful of water from it to the unbelievers. [Tirmidhi, Vol. 4 Page 144, Hadith 2327]

Sahl bin Sa`d (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said to `Ali (May Allah be pleased with him), “By Allah, if a single person is guided by Allah through you, it will be better for you than a whole lot of red camels.”

~ Sahih Al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim and Sunan Abu Dawud

Commentary: “Better for you than red camels” is an allegory for every thing that is better than anything else.

The following are some verses from the Holy Qur’an and some Ahadith showing the importance and benefits of Zakah.

[Baqarah 2:43] And keep the (obligatory) prayer established, and pay the charity, and bow your heads with those who bow (in prayer).

[Baqarah 2:261] The example of those who spend their wealth in Allah’s way is similar to that of a grain which has sprouted seven stalks and in each stalk are a hundred grains; and Allah may increase it still more than this, for whomever He wills; and Allah is Most Capable, All Knowing.

[Baqarah 2:264] O People who Believe! Do not invalidate your charity by expressing favour and causing injury – like one who spends his wealth for people to see, and does not believe in Allah and the Last Day; his example is similar to that of a rock covered with dust and hard rain fell on it, leaving it as a bare rock; they shall get no control over (or benefit from) anything they have earned; and Allah does not guide the disbelievers.

[Baqarah 2:271] If you give charity openly, what an excellent deed it is! And if you secretly give it to the poor, it is the best for you; and it will redeem some of your sins; and Allah is Aware of your deeds.

[Baqarah 2:274] Those who spend their wealth by night and day, secretly and openly – their reward is with their Lord; and there shall be no fear upon them nor shall they grieve.

[Al I`mran 3:92] You can never attain virtue until you spend in Allah’s cause the things you love; and Allah is Aware of whatever you spend.

[Al I`mran 3:180] And never must those who act miserly upon what Allah has bestowed upon them of His grace, think that it is good for them; in fact it is harmful for them; soon what they had withheld will be collars round their necks on the Day of Resurrection; and Allah only is the Inheritor (Owner) of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is Well Aware of what you do.

[Taubah 9:34] …and those who hoard up gold and silver and do not spend it in Allah’s way – so them give the glad tidings of a painful punishment.

[Taubah 9:35] The day when it will be heated in the fire of hell, and their foreheads and their sides and their backs will be branded with them; “Here is what you hoarded for yourselves; so now taste the joy of your hoarding!”

[Taubah 9:105] And say “Keep on with your works – Allah will now see your deeds, and so will His Noble Messenger and the Muslims; and soon you will return to the One Who knows everything – the hidden and the visible – so He will inform you of what you used to do.”

[Saba 34:39] …and whatever you spend in Allah’s cause, He will restore it; and He is the Best Sustainer.

Ahadith showing the importance and benefits of Zakah.

Imam Bukhari (alaihir rahmah) relates on the authority of Sayyiduna Abdullah Ibn Omar (radi Allahu anhuma) that was applicable before legislation of Zakah. When Zakah was made a duty, Allah made it serve as purification of money. Sayyiduna Abdullah Ibn Omar (radi Allahu anhuma) is further reported to have said: The wealth from which Zakah is paid is not hoarded, even if it is stored under seven layers of earth. What is in a person’s hands is hoarded if he does not pay Zakah for it.

There is nothing wrong from the Islamic point of view in being rich, provided that one makes the right use of one’s riches. Furthermore, to be rich is not synonymous with the hoarding of money, whether it is for the modern currency type or silver and gold. The two are different. What does, then, constitute hoarding? According to eminent scholars and commentators of the Holy Quran, the payment of Zakah makes all the difference. If one pays the Zakah of his wealth on time, this payment serves as purification of the money and ensures that he is not included among those mentioned in the verse.

Bazzaz narrated from Sayyiduna Alqamah (radi Allahu anhu) reporting that our beloved Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) has said that the completion of one’s Islam is dependent upon giving away Zakah from one’s wealth.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Masu’d (radi Allahu anhu) has said that we were commanded to perform Salaah and give Zakah, and that Salah is not accepted of the person who does not give Zakah despite eligibility. (Tibraani)

The perfection of your Islam is that you pay Zakah of your wealth. [At-Targheeb Wat-Tarheeb, Vol. 1, Page 301, Hadith 12]

Pay Zakah of your wealth as it is a purifier. It will purify you. [Musnad Ahmad, Vol. 4, Page 273, Hadith 12397]

Zakah is the bridge of Islam. [Tabarani, Al-Mu’jam al-Awsat, Vol. 3, Page 275, Hadith 4577]

The wealth that is lost in the land and in the sea is lost due to not paying Zakah. [Kanz al-Ummal, V6, P306, Hadith 15807]

One who has paid Zakah of his wealth, so the harm of his wealth has got away from him. [Mu’jam al-Awsat, V6, P328, Hadith 8937]

The nation that does not give Zakah, Allah will make them suffer from drought. [Tabarani, Mujam Awsat, V3, P275, Hadith 4577]

Whoever departs this world with sincerity towards Allah, worshiping Him alone with no partner, establishing regular prayer and paying Zakah, he dies while Allah is pleased with him. [Ibn Majah, Vol. 1, Page 27, Hadith 70]

SallAllahu Alaihi Wa Sallam wa ‘Ala Alihi wa Sahbihi Wa Baraka Wa karam

HIS BIRTH:

BLESSED NAME: His name is Ali and is known as Abu al-Hassan and Abu Turab and his titles are Murtuda, Asadullah and Haidar-e-Karraar.

HIS BRAVERY: Hadrat Imam Muhammed Ghazzali Radi ALLAHu Ta’ala Anhu write in Ihyaa al-Uloom that on the night of Hijrat, when Hadrat Ali Radi ALLAHu Ta’ala Anhu was asleep in the blessed bed of the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam, Almighty Allah sent wahi to Hadrat Jibraeel and Hadrat Mikaeel (alaihimus salaam) that, “I have made the two of you brothers to one another and I made the age of one from amongst you more than that of the other. Is there any from amongst you that will give part of your age to the other?”

None answered from both of them. Almighty Allah said, “The both of you are not the example of Ali Radi ALLAHu Ta’ala Anhu. I have made him the brother of my Beloved Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam. Look, he is asleep in the bed of his brother and is willing to sacrifice his life for him. Both of you go to earth and protect him from his enemies. Hadrat Jibraeel descended and stood at the head side of Hadrat Ali Radi ALLAHu Ta’ala Anhu and Hadrat Mikaeel stood at his feet, protecting him for the entire night.” It was on this, that Almighty Allah revealed the verse, “Some person sells his life in pleasing Allah, and Allah is Most compassionate towards his servants.” (Surah Baqara) – [Kashful Mahjoob, Page 260]

Hadrat Abu Raafi’ Radi ALLAHu Ta’ala Anhu says that during the battle of Khaibar, the shield of Sayyiduna Ali Radi ALLAHu Ta’ala Anhu was damaged. He went forward in the Love of Allah and His Rasool SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam and uprooted the Door of the Fort of Khaibar with his bare hands and used it as a shied. After the battle, forty strong men together could not move the door from where it has kept by Hadrat Ali Radi ALLAHu Ta’ala Anhu. [Zarkani, Vol 2, Page 230 – Taareekh al-Khulafa, Page 33]

HIS KINDNESS AND GENEROSITY: He was a very kind and generous personality. He never caused pain to anyone. Even if someone committed an error, he explained to him with great kindness and love. Hadrat Abu Dhar Ghaffari Radi ALLAHu Ta’ala Anhu says, “Hadrat Ali Radi ALLAHu Ta’ala Anhu was very exalted, brave, Truthful, soft hearted and kind. The desire to help the poor flowed in him like the huge waves of the sea. He used to travel far away from home, to assist the sick, old, poor, orphans, crippled and downtrodden.”

HIS VAST KNOWLEDGE: Hadrat Ali Radi ALLAHu Ta’ala Anhu attained great knowledge from the holy court of Rasoolullah SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam. Hadrat Abu Amar reports from Abu Tufail, that Hadrat Ali Radi ALLAHu Ta’ala Anhu said, “Ask me whatever you wish from the Quran. There is no ayat that I am not aware of. I even know whether it was revealed during the day or night, or it was revealed on soft our mountainous land.” [Jaami’ al-Manaqib]

Hadrat Ali Radi ALLAHu Ta’ala Anhu narrated five hundred and eighty six Ahadith (Sayings) of Rasoolullah SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam. His knowledge, wisdom and decisions were so great that Hadrat Umar a-Farooq Radi ALLAHu Ta’ala Anhu says, “The best judge amongst all the saHaba is Hadrat Ali Radi ALLAHu Ta’ala Anhu.”

Hadrat Saeed ibn Habeeb Radi ALLAHu Ta’ala Anhu says, “There was no person in Madinah Munawwarah except Hadrat Ali Radi ALLAHu Ta’ala Anhu who could say, ‘Ask me what ever you want to know’”

Hadrat Abdullah ibn Mas’ood Radi ALLAHu Ta’ala Anhu was also the possessor of great knowledge, but he too used to openly announce the following, “None has more knowledge of the Fara’idh than Ali Radi ALLAHu Ta’ala Anhu and none has more understanding than him.” Hadrat Ali Radi ALLAHu Ta’ala Anhu says, “If I wished to compile the commentary of Sura Fateh, then I would be able to load 40 camels with books (from this tafseer).”

HIS POETRY: In eloquence and command of language, there is none that can be equal to the people of Arabia. They have the ability to render beautiful impromptu verses of prose. Hadrat Ali Radi ALLAHu Ta’ala Anhu was also a very great poet. He wrote Praises to Allah, and many poems in praise of the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam, which can be found in the books of history and Seerah. A few stanzas of his poems are being presented for attaining blessings.

Radeena Qismatal Jabaari feena
Lana ilmuw wa lil Juhhaali Maalu

“We are pleased with that which our Lord has distributed
That, he blessed me with knowledge and the ignorant with wealth.”

Li Annal Maala Yufni Anqareebin
wa Innal ilma Yabqaa Laa Yazaalu

“Because very soon, the wealth will become less and be finished
And knowledge will remain, for there is no end for it.”

LOVE FOR HADRAT ALI: The Muhaditheen have recorded that Hadrat Ali al-Murtuda Radi ALLAHu Ta’ala Anhu said, “The Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam said the following words about me, ‘You have a special attachment with Hadrat Esa Alaihis Salam. The Jews hated him so bitterly that (Allah forbid) they accused his pure mother Bibi Maryam Radi ALLAHu Ta’ala Anhu and the Christians went over the limitations in his love to such an extent, that (Allah forbid) they called him the son of Allah. Beware, since there will also be two groups in your case. One will be those, who in your love will hold you in such esteem, that they will transgress the limitations and the other group, will be those who will have dislike for you, and they shall target you with their accusations.’”

From these blessed words, it is evident that both the Kharijis and Shi’as are Misled and that the proper ones are the Ahle Sunnat wa al-Jama’at, who show great love to Sayyiduna Ali Radi ALLAHu Ta’ala Anhu and yet we do not transgress the limitations.

HIS FINAL ADVICE: Before his wisaal, he called Imam Hasan and Imam Hussain (Radi Allahu Anhum) and said, “I advice you to remain pious and do not wish for the world even if it wishes for you. And if you lose any worldly belonging, then do not cry over it. Have mercy on the orphans, and help the weak.” He then turned to one of his sons, Hadrat Muhammad bin Hanafiyah Radi ALLAHu Ta’ala Anhu and gave him the same advice. He then read the Kalima and his soul travelled from this mundane world in to the heights of the hereafter. Inna Lillaahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raaji’oon!!

GHUSL AND KAFFAN: Hadrat Imam Hasan, Imam Hussain and Abdullah ibn Jaa’far (Ridwaanullahi Ta’ala Alaihim Ajma’een) gave him ghusl and tied his kaffan, which was three pieces of cloth. Hadrat Imam Hasan Radi ALLAHu Ta’ala Anhu lead his Janaaza Salaah. [Taareekh al-Khulafa]

THE AQIDA OF THE AHL AS-SUNNAH WA AL-JAMA’AH

Sayyiduna Gawth al-Aa’zam Sheikh Abdul Qaadir Jilaani Radi ALLAHu Ta’ala Anhu says, “The Aqida of the Ahle Sunnat wa al-Jama’ah is this, that the Ummah of the Prophet Muhammad SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam is the Greatest of all Ummahs, and from the Ummah, the greatest are the Asharah al-Mubasharah. These are ten personalities, namely, Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Talha, Zubair, Abdur Rahman bin Auf, Sa’ad, Sa’eed and Abu Ubaidah Al Jarah (Ridwaanullahi Ta’ala Alaihim Ajma’een). From these ten, the most exalted are the Khulafa ar-Raashideen. From the four of them, the most exalted is Abu Bakr as-Siddique, then Umar al-Farooq, then Uthman al-Ghani and then Ali al-Murtuda.” (Ridwaanullahi Ta’ala Alaihim Ajma’een).

Excellence of Hadrat Sayyiduna Imam Ali al-Murtuda (KaramAllahu Wajhul Kareem)

The fourth sire of the people, is the beloved of Allah Almighty and of His faithful creation, the gate of the city of knowledge, the commanding orator, the master of reason and intellect, the explainer of allegories, the pure blessing, the moral authority, the instinct of certitude, the fathomer of truth, the dean of piety, the beauty of knowledge, the truthful explainer whose heart is full of wisdom, whose tongue is most inquisitive, and whose ears are most conscious; the chieftain of the pious ones, the mirror of sages, the righteous judge, the most forbearing sire and the righteous caliph, ‘Ali bin Abi Talib, Allah bless his countenance.

Sa’ad narrated that Allah’s messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said to ‘Ali, Allah bless his countenance: “You are unto me what Aaron was to Moses.”

Sa’ad also narrated that Allah’s messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم once said to ‘Ali, Allah bless his countenance: “You are from me and I am from you.”

Ibn ‘Abbas narrated that Omar, Allah be pleased with him, used to say: “‘Ali is the most equitable judge among us.

Also on this subject, Ibn Mas’oud said: “The Qur’an was revealed in seven local dialects. Each letter of it has an outer and an inner meaning, and ‘Ali has the knowledge of both.”

Habirah bin Barim narrated that al-Hassan, son of ‘Ali, Allah be pleased with both of them, once gave a sermon after his father’s martyrdom, and during his speech, he said: “The man who has just departed yesterday, no one in the past could have ever rivalled his knowledge, nor will anyone in the future be able to do that.”

Sayings of Hadrat Sayyiduna Imam Ali al-Murtuda (KaramAllahu Wajhul Kareem)

Sa’i’d bin al-Musayyib narrated that ‘Ali, Allah bless his countenance, said: “True blessings are not children or wealth, rather they are knowledge, forbearance and an ever increasing devotion to one’s Lord. When you do good, praise Allah Almighty, and when you fail, then ask for His forgiveness. Surely there are no benefits in this world except for two types of people, 1) Someone who commits a wrongdoing then amends it with repentance; and 2) someone who hastens to do good while he does not neglect to perform his required religious duties, hence, how can his deeds then diminish when goodness is blessed.”

Bakr bin Khalifa narrated that ‘Ali, Allah bless his countenance, once said: “O ye people, I swear by Allah Almighty, and in His Name I swear and I swear, that even if your eyes were to melt down from crying in fear of Him and in yearning for Him and even if you were to live in this world as long as it will last, making constant offerings combined with every type of worship in thankfulness towards His magnificent and countless blessings upon you, it would not be sufficient as a demonstration of gratitude for His guiding you to Islam.

‘Ali, Allah bless his countenance, said: To love a man of knowledge and to learn at his hand is a debt one can never repay.

‘Ali, Allah bless his countenance, said: The earth will never remain devoid of someone who carries the proof of Allah ‘s sovereignty, and the testimony of His messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم, otherwise, Allah’s revelations and clear signs will be abrogated. Such true human beings are the rare few, although they are the most exalted in Allah’s sight. Through them Almighty Allah guards His message, and He will not take them back unto Himself until they have delivered the same to their coequals. These people endeavor to plant such seeds in hearts akin to their own. Hence, knowledge gushes forth from their hearts, and they take from it the terrain the opulent ones judge as rugged and what the ignorant ones deem as reprehensible. In fact, Allah’s people live in this world with bodies who’s souls are captivated by the Upper Observer of all. Such are Allah’s vice-regents on earth, and such are the callers to His religion.

Al-Hussain bin ‘Ali narrated that his father, may Allah be pleased with both of them, said: “The most difficult things for a man to do are three, 1) To pay what he owes willingly, 2) to remember Allah under all circumstances; and 3), to help his brother when he needs money.”

Sayyiduna Imam Hasan bin Ali (Radi Allahu Anhu), Excerpts from Tarikh al-Khulafa by Imam Jalal al-Din Suyuti (Alayhir Rahmah). Must Read & Share!!

Abu Muhammed Imam Hasan ibn Ali ibn Abu Talib (Radi Allahu anhu), the grandson of RasoolAllah (SallAllahu ta ala alayhi wa sallam) was born on the 15th of Ramadan, the third year after hijrah.

Imam Bukhari reports from Hadrat Anas (Radi Allahu anhu): ‘No one resembled the Prophet (SallAllahu ta ala alayhi wa sallam) more than Hasan ibn Ali (Radi Allahu anhu).’

Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim report from Hadrat Bara’a (Radi Allahu anhu): I have seen RasoolAllah (SallAllahu ta ala alayhi wa sallam) with Hasan upon his shoulder, saying: ‘O Allah I love him, so (Ye) love him too’.

Imam Bukhari reports from Hadrat Abu Bakr Siddique (Radi Allahu anhu): I have seen RasoolAllah (SallAllahu ta ala alayhi wa sallam) on the pulpit (minbar) with Hasan on his side. He looked at the assembly and Hasan alternately, and said: ‘ Verily, this son of mine is a great leader. Mayhap that Allah will unite two groups of Muslims on his account.’

Imam Bukhari reports from Hadrat ibn Umar (Radi Allahu anhu): ‘Both Hasan and Husayn are my two perfumes in this world’.

Hakim reports from Ibn Abbas (Radi Allahu Anhu), that RasoolAllah (SallAllahu ta ala alayhi wa sallam) was once carrying Hasan on his shoulders. A man met him on the way and said: ‘What a magnificent mount that you ride young man.’ RasoolAllah (SallAllahu ta ala alayhi wa sallam) replied,’What a magnificent rider is he!’

Ibn Saad reports from Abdullah ibn Zubayr (Radi Allahu anhum): Hasan ibn Ali (Radi Allahu anhu) resembled RasoolAllah (SallAllahu ta ala alayhi wa sallam) the most in his family and was the dearest to him. I have seen him (Hasan) ride upon RasoolAllah’s neck (SallAllahu ta ala alayhi wa sallam) – or he said back – when he was in prostration and RasoolAllah (SallAllahu ta ala alayhi wa sallam) wouldn’t arise until Hasan dismounted himself. I have seen him (Rasool SallAllahu ta ala alayhi wa sallam) in ruku when Hasan would crawl by his feet. RasoolAllah (SallAllahu ta ala alayhi wa sallam) would let him go between his legs to the other side.’

Imam Hasan (Radi Allahu anhu) was a man of many qualities; he was a leader of men, forbearing and patient, a man of dignity and sobriety, staid and demure; and very generous. He disliked war and fighting. He would give away a hundred thousand (as a present or charity) without giving it a thought.

Hakim reports from Abdullah ibn Ubayd ibn Umayr (Radi Allahu anhum): ‘Hasan went on Hajj twenty-five times on foot, even though very fine camels were driven alongside.’

Imam Hasan (Radi Allahu Anhu) became the caliph after his father was martyred, by the allegiance of the Kufans. He remained such for six months and a few more days and then Imam Hasan sent an envoy seeking peace, and wished to renounce the post in favor of Hadrat Mu’awiyah (Radi Allahu Anhu). After this, Imam Hasan left Kufah and retired to Madinah.

Hakim reports from Jubayr ibn Nufayr (Radi Allahu Anhu): I said to Hasan, ‘people say that you desire the caliphate.’ He replied: ‘I had Arab warriors at my command to fight whom I did and befriend those 1 wished; but I renounced war, seeking to please Allah and to avert spilling the blood of the followers of Muhammad (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) just for the sake of power.’

Ibn Saad reports from Imran ibn Abdullah ibn Talha (Radi Allahu Anhum): Imam Hasan saw in his dream as if ‘Qul huwa Allahu Ahad’ was written between his eyes. When this dream was related to Sa’eed ibn al-Musayyib (Radi Allahu Anhu), he interpreted: ‘If this dream is true, then his death is very near’. He lived for only a few days after this event.

Imam Hasan (Radi Allahu Anhu) died in Madinah Munawwarah after he was poisoned in the year 49 AH. It is said that he died on the 5th of Rabi al-Awwal, 50 AH. It is also said that it was in 51 AH. Imam Husayn (Radi Allahu Anhu), his brother entreated him to name the poisoner; Imam Hasan (Radi Allahu Anhu) declined and said: ‘If it is the one I suspect, Allah shall take that person into account. If not, I do not wish that an innocent is killed on my account’.

Imam Tirmidhi and Hakim report from Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri (Radi Allahu anhu): RasoolAllah (SallAllahu ta ala alayhi wa sallam) said: ‘Hasan and Husayn are the two leaders of young men in paradise’.

Imam Tirmidhi reports from Usamah ibn Zayd (Radi Allahu anhu): I saw Hasan and Husayn on the lap of RasoolAllah (SallAllahu ta ala alayhi wa sallam) and he said: ‘These two are my children, my grandsons. O Allah I love them; (You) love them too. And love all those who love them’.

AlaHadrat, Imam Ahmad Rida Khan عليه الرحمة has explained it beautifully:

Kya baat Raza us chamanistaan e karam ki;

Raza! Imagine how unique is that garden of Compassion;

Question: What is the meaning of Mujahidah(Spiritual Struggle)?

Answer: The entire concept of Mujahidah is enclosed in this ayah:

And those who tremble with fear in the presence of their lord and abstain from the desires of Nafs, Verily, their abode is Jannah. – (Surah An-Naziyat79, Verse 40,41)

This is actually known as Jihad al-Akbar (the great struggle in spiritualism). It is stated in the Hadith Sharif that after returning victoriously from Jihad with the Kuffar at Badr, the Holy Prophet of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم stated:

Now we return from the minor battle to the major battle. – (Sharh Zurqani, Vol.1, p.324)

A certain Wali of Allah spent three years in worship struck by the desire of eating pomegranate. He dreamt of Sayyidund Rasulullah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم who said to him:

There are also certain rights of your nafs upon you. – (Musnad Imam Ahmad ibn Hambal عليه الرحمة, Hadith no. 25909, narrated by Umm al Mo’minin Sayyidah A’iesha رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ.)

The next morning he got up and ate one. Now he desired to drink milk, but he said to himself, “Be patient for 30 years, perhaps Sayyiduna Rasulullah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم will appear again with Divine advice. He may say that patience is better than this desire!” This mere thought instantly removed the desire for milk from his heart.

Both these desires can be easily identified. Satanic desires are very demanding. They want things done without delay. On the contrary, the desire of the heart is patient and constant about the thing it desires. It does not change its taste to something else because it is sincere about a specific thing. On the other hand, Satanic desires are different. If it cannot get what it wants immediately, then the greed is so great that it will crave for the second thing, and if that is hot obtained quickly, it will desire for the third, and it will continue again and again. Thus, a person with Satanic influence is very greedy and desires for everything. This is so because the devil’s intention is to mislead, irrespective of how he does it.

Once, a person visited a devout Sufi. He saw a container of drinking water kept in the sun, He said to the Sufi, “Oh Shaykh! This drinking water was left in the sun and it must have now become hot”. The Sufi replied, “In the morning, there was shade on it, but as the sun rose, its rays fell on it. I am now embarrassed to ask Allah عزوجل and move my legs from His عزوجل devotion to satisfy my personal desire.”

Shaykh al-Masha’ikh, ‘Arife-Billah Sayyidi Shaykh Sirri al-Saqti عليه الرحمة  was once Fasting, so he kept a container of water on the shelf of the wall to get cold. He intended to drink it at the time of Iftar. While engrossed in his ‘Asr Muraqibah (meditation) he saw Virgins of Paradise (Hurs) passing by one by one in front of him. As one approached him, he inquired, “For whose service are you?” She replied, “A certain person ” Likewise, he questioned each one of them and they all gave various names until one of them replied, “I am for him who does not desire cold water at the time of fast.” The Shaykh then said to her, “If what you say is true then drop my container of cold water.” As she dropped it down, the noise distracted the Shaykh from his Muraqibah and he returned to his normal state. He saw the broken container lying on the floor of his room.

Once, two Angels met. One asked the other where he was going. He answered, “There is a Wali who has a cup of milk in his hand and is about to drink it. I am ordered to go and flap my wings so that I drop the cup from his hand”. He then asked the other Angel, “Where are you going?” He said, “A sinner has placed his fishing gear for a long time in a river and caught no fish, I am ordered to go and hook up a fish in his gear.” (Allah عزوجل tests His عزوجل Beloved servants and gives abundantly to the transgressors so that they may remain astray).

AlaHadrat عليه الرحمة went on further to say that if 40 days passes without experiencing mishaps or calamities, then fear that Almighty Allah عزوجل may have abandoned you. It is stated in the Hadith Sharif that when a beloved servant of Allah عزوجل lifts his hands, cries and pleads to Allah عزوجل, then the Sumlime Lord عزوجل orders the Angel Jibra’il علیہ السلام not to grant him his request because He (Allah عزوجل) loves his crying and pleading. On the contrary, when a transgressor (Fasiq) lifts up his hands and asks Allah عزوجل for anything then Allah عزوجل orders Sayyiduna Jibra’il علیہ السلام to quickly grant him his request because Allah عزوجل dislikes the face of a Fasiq focused towards Him عزوجل. There is a great lesson taught in this Hadith Sharif If the Angel Jibrail علیہ السلام can grant desires and requests by the Divine Command of Allah عزوجل, then which Muslim will question the favours of Sayyiduna wa Mawlana Rasulullah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم? The Wahabi should take heed from this Hadith al-Sharif!

Question: Did the Wahabis exist in the time of the Khulafa al-Rashidin?

Answer: It was this very sect that Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ requested permission from Amir al-Mu‘minin Sayyidina “Ali al-Murtadah رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ to confront. They were 10,000 in number. Amir al-Mu’minin رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ granted him permission and he went to them and asked, “What was it about Amir al Mu‘minin that you so strongly disagree with?” They replied, “Why did the Amir appoint Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash‘ari رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ as a judge (Hakam) In the event of Siffin?” This is Shirk, because Allah عزوجل states in the Qur’an:

Judgement is from none, but Allah عزوجل. – [Surah Yusuf, Verse 40]

Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Abbas رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ replied , “Is it not in the very same Qur’an that Allah عزوجل states:

And if you fear a dispute between husband and wife, then appoint an arbiter (Hakam) from the side of the family of the man and an arbiter from the side of the family of the women (to solve the problem). If these two will desire reconciliation then Almighty Allah عزوجل will cause unity between them. Undoubtedly, Allah عزوجل is All-Knowing, Aware. – [Surah: An-Nisa, Verse 35]

Remember that this is the same format of argument used by the present day Wahabis. They turn a blind eye to the differences between bestowed and personally acquired knowledge and also reject the legality of seeking assistance from anyone other than Allah عزوجل. It is an Islamic belief that Allah عزوجل has bestowed His elite servants with this science of knowledge and powers. This knowledge and power is purely ‘Ata’i (bestowed) and not Zati (personal), But, the Wahabi rejects this in totality and says that such beliefs are Shirk.

However, after quoting the above Ayah, Sayyiduna ‘Abd-Allah Ibn ‘Abbas رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ then asked them, “What type of belief do you hold that you claim Iman with all the Ayahs of negation (nafi), and Kufr with the Ayahs of affirmation (Ith’bat)?” On hearing this realistic statement of Sayyidund Ibn ‘Abbas رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ , half of this group (5,000) repented and joined Amir al- Mu’minin رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ . The remainder of the group (5,000) were devious and held fast to their false beliefs. After this dialogue, Amir al- Mu‘minin رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ issued the order to the Muslim army to kill the remainder.

Sayyiduna Imam al-Hasan رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ , Sayyidund Imam al-Husainرضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ and many other eminent spiritual personalities hesitated because this group spent the entire night in Ibadah and recited the Holy Qur’an during the day. They protested, “How could we raise our swords on such people who are soaked in ‘Ibadah?” Meanwhile in the past, Sayyiduna Rasulullah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم had already informed Sayyiduna ‘Ali رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ about this sect. The Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said, “These people will revolt against Islam and they will be very staunch in their external duties of Salah and fasting, etc. They will leave the Din as an arrow leaves the bow for its target never to return again. They will recite the Holy Qur’an but it will not proceed below their throats.” Eventually the Muslim army was compelled to execute the command of Amir al-Mu’minin رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ . Hence, the battle commenced. In the course of the Jihad, the Amir was informed that the enemy had retreated to the banks of a river.

‘On hearing this Sayyidund ‘Ali al-Murtudah رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ said, “By Allah! Not éven 10 of them will cross the river and all will be killed on this side.” So it did happen. Every single one of the 5000 were killed before crossing the river.

Since the army of the Amir al-Mu’minin رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ was impressed by the piety of the enemy, he had to clear their minds and hearts of their misconception. To do this, he ordered his army to search the corpses of the enemy and find one named Zul-Thadiyya. Sayyiduna ‘Ali رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ also gave some physical description of this person to make it easy to find him, The Amir said, “If you find him dead, then you have verily killed the most evil man on earth, But if you do not find him amongst the dead, then you have killed the best of men on earth.” The search began and every corpse was inspected. This cursed person was found below a pile of bodies. His one hand was shaped like the breast of a woman. When Amir al-Mu‘minin رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ saw him he glorified Allah عزوجل and shouted the Takbir (Allahu-Akbar). The entire Muslim army was convinced and satisfied by the Karamah (‘Ilm al-Ghayb) of Amir al-Mu‘minin رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ. They too praised Allah # and thanked Him عزوجل for cleansing the earth of this filth. Then, the illustrious Amir رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ addressed the army and said, “Do you think that this cursed sect and their following are totally cleansed? Certainly not! Some of them are still in the womb of their mothers and others are in the sperm of their fathers. When one of these groups is exterminated, another will rise with Fitnah and this will continue till the last group emerges with the cursed Dajjal!”

This is the very sect that will emerge in every era with different names and disguise. Now, in this last period of time, the very sect has emerged as “Reformers of Din” and called themselves Wahabis. Their signs and descriptions are foretold in the Sahih Ahadith Sharif, which clearly befit the present day Wahabis.

Some of the Prophecies are as follows:

If you compare your Salah with their Salah, you will regard yours as insignificant and insufficient, Likewise will be the situation of your fasiing and good deeds.

They will recite the Holy Qur’an but it will not go below their throats (not enter their hearts).

Their words and speech will be very sweet and appealing and they will quote the Hadith Sharif in every thing they say.

They will leave the (boundaries) Din as an arrow leaves the bow for its target (never to return again).

One of their signs is that most of them will have shaven heads.

Their pants will be raised high above the ankles.

– (Musnad Imam Ahmad ibn Hambal رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ , Hadith no. 11047, narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Sa’id al-Khudri رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ. A similar Hadith is also cited in Tahzib al-Kamal, Vol.7,p.409, Hadith no. 3061, narrated by Sayyiduna Abi-Bar’za رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ .)

N.B.: [It is known that the father of the present day Wahabis is Ibn ‘Abd al-Wabhab Najdi, It is said that he used to exercised the shaving of the head so strongly that if any woman accepted Wahabism, he ordered the hair on their heads to be shaven off. This was done because he said, “This is the hair of the period of Kufr and therefore it must be shaven off.” The shaving of hair of the females carried on for some time until one frustrated lady confronted him and said, “Why do you not order the beards of your new recruits to be also shaven off when they enter your Din? That is also the hair of the Kufr period.” It was after this objection that he stopped this shameful and irreligious practice.

Look at the present day Wahabis. The majority of them shave off their hair and lift their pants high above their ankles, How true are the Prophecies of Sayyiduna Rasulullah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم? They perfectly fit the norms of the present day Wahabis.]

AlaHadrat عليه الرحمة went on further to say:

Once while the Holy Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم was distributing booty after the Battle of Hunain, a person objected to the manner of the Holy Prophet’s صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم distribution, This disrespectful person remarked, “I don’t find justice in your distribution because some persons are getting more while others less.” On hearing this absurd remark, Sayyiduna ‘Umar al-Faruq رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ was outraged. He drew his sword and said, “Ya Rasulallah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم! Grant me permission to behead this Munafiq (hypocrite).” The loving Habib صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم replied, “Leave him because such and such type of people will be from his offsprings. ” Then the Holy Prophet of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم further said, “Unfortunately, if I don’t exercise justice with you, then who will be just to you? May Allah عزوجل have mercy on my brother Musa علیہ السلام who was oppressed more than me!”

The illustrious ‘Ulama state that the distribution of the Holy Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم on this single day was more than a lifelong charity of generous kings. The jungle was full of booty and the Sahaba came in huge numbers to collect their share. The Nabi of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم distributed the booty to them moving backwards as it got lesser until all of it was given out. While this virtuous distribution was carrying on, a Bedouin came up to the Noble Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم and excitedly pulled away his mantle (Rida) from his blessed shoulders. The force of that snatching left marks on the shoulders and back of the Beloved Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم. This did not annoy him, instead he compassionately said, “Oh people! Do not hasten, by Allah عزوجل! You would never find me a miser at any given time.” Certainly, by the Lord of Power who has sent his beloved Rasul صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم with truth and ultimate guidance, the most esteemed Khalifah of the Almighty Allah عزوجل is Sayyiduna Rasulullah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم. Whatever bounties and Mercy are received in this universe, are indeed his blessings, In fact, his blessings in this universe are not equal to an atom of his Divine Rahmah.

‘Arif-Billah, Imam Sharf al-Din Bu’sayri رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ states in his famous Qasidah al-Burdah Sharif,

Verily the Mercy of this Duniya and Akhirah are but a trace of your blessings (Beloved Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) and the Knowledge of the Unseen (Ilm-e-Ghayb) is but a glimpse of your knowledge.

One day the eminent As’hab were assembled around the Holy Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم and a person came by and stood at the edge of the Majlis Sharif. He glanced at the Majlis Sharif and proceeded to the Musjid. The Holy Prophet # said to the Sahaba, “Who amongst you will go and kill him?” Sayyiduna Abi-Bakr al-Siddique رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ got up and went towards this person. He found him engaged in Salah. He could not kill someone engaged in Salah and therefore, returned to the Holy Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم and explained the situation.

The Beloved Nabi of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم again said, “Who is it that will kill him?” Sayyiduna ‘Umar al-Faruq رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ got up and went towards him. He too found him in the same situation and returned.

For the third time, the Holy Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم stated, “Who is it that will kill him?” Sayyiduna ‘Ali al-Murtudah رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ got up and said, “I will kill him.” The Holy Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said, “Yes you would, if you find him. He will not be there.” When Sayyiduna ‘Ali رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ went into the Musjid Sharif, he found nobody there. The man had already left as predicted by the Glorious Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم . The exalted Habib صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم remarked, “If you had killed him, then verily a very great Fitnah (problem) would have been removed from this Ummah,”

This man was the father of Wahabism whose contemporaries are found today. They are soiling this earth and causing Fiinah in this Ummah. That rude person stood on the edge of the Majlis Sharif and looked at everyone present there. His egotism led him to believe that there is no one in this Majlis better than he is. He was very proud and boastful of his Salah and piety. Least did he realize that Salah or any other virtue is nothing but the mercy of the Glorious Prophet of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم.

One can never be a devout servant of Allah عزوجل until one sincerely pledges one’s allegiance to the Beloved of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم, Allah عزوجل places great emphasis in the Holy Qur’an concerning the respect and honour of His Beloved Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم before His worship. Therefore, Allah عزوجل states:

So that you may believe in Allah عزوجل and His Messenger (Rasul), and respect and honour him, and glorify Allah عزوجل day and night, (reference to Salah). – [Surah Al-Fatah, Verse 9]

The first and foremost factor of Iman is respect for Rasul صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم. Salah or any form of ‘Ibadah is useless without reverence for the Rasul صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم. There are many ‘Abd-Allah (servants of Allah عزوجل) in this world, but the true and sincere ‘Abd-Allah is he, who is ‘Abde-Mustafa (servant of the Holy Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم). If it is not so, then he is surely an ‘Abde Shaytan (servant of the cursed Devil). May the Merciful Allah عزوجل save us all from this curse!

AlaHadrat, Imam Ahmad Rida Khan عليه الرحمة has explained it beautifully:

Tere Ghulamon Ka Naqshe Qadam Hai Raahe Khuda;
Woh Kya Behak Sake Jo Yeh Suraagh Le Ke Chale!

O Prophet ﷺ! The footprints of your servants are the surest guide to Allah-consciousness;
Those, who follow their example, are destined to achieve supreme spiritual success!

TaajushShariah, Mufti Akhtar Rida Khan عليه الرحمة has explained it beautifully:

Naqsh-E-Paa-E-Sagane Nabi ﷺ dekhiye!
Yeh pata hai bohat Rehbari ke liye!

Follow the footprints of the servants of Prophet ﷺ;
These are more than sufficient for guidance!
