A copy of a Jungfrau promotional poster stuck to the rocky wall inside the train network leading to Jungfrau. The train runs through the core of the mountain, and is an engineering marvel.

A photo showing the entry into the Ice Palace tunnel at the Swiss Alpine resort of Jungfrau. Here, the resort is set on a height, close to the ice and snow expected at that height, and it is there that you can find an actual tunnel cut into the ice (and where the ice is several inches thick). This makes walking inside the tunnel slippery.

A view of the structure at Jungfrau. Jungfrau is a mountain resort, built high in the Alps, in the midst of ice, snow and rock, and allows tourists a place to enjoy being in such an environment in relative ease (a comfortable train journey is all it takes). This is a view of a part of the building, as well as the rock, snow and glaciers in the surrounding area.

There is a truly spectacular train journey that one gets to see when one starts on the trip from Interlaken to Jungfrau in Switzerland. The train starts from normal green covered land to a place where you get into mountains, rocky, ice and snow covered cliffs. You can see something similar in this photo of the transition, where you start to see the towering mountain tops.

When you get a great view, and have a nice camera in your hands, the itch to capture it a photo is incredible. But sometimes you are faced with situations where your photo will have glitches, such as this photo where the is a whole network of electric train lines that were obscuring the view. On second thoughts, I decided that this photo would make a perfect example of the coexistence of technology and nature.

A very beautiful view of the Swiss countryside, the view being visible from the train that makes it way from Interlaken to Jungfrau. You get to see greenery, tall trees, even taller rock and ice capped mountains, and some cabins in this whole setting. If you look carefully, there is a straight line of covered train track.

Jungfrau is a resort set up high on the mountain, set on the slope of a mountain with ice, snow and a glacier all in the neighborhood. This is the view of a nearby rock face, with ice and snow covering it.

A view from a much higher view of the surrounding countryside. You get to see views of the green colored hills, as well as other hills in the distance. This is a view that is available from the glass windows of the Eiger station on the way to Jungfrau.

A bulldozer digging up a beautiful Swiss mountainside on the route to Jungfrau, for making a path. The picture looks beautiful, but it was a bit sad to see a green hill being partially destroyed.
