Its been awhile since I've done a before and after... ya not sure what happened to my Photoshop Friday, I feel like I need to apologize for the lack of posting, I've been so sick this entire pregnancy and I feel like anything "extra" has been put on the back burner! Only a few months left until she's here though and then I'll have an entire new problem, but one I can't wait for, so THANK YOU for putting up with me the last few months! Anyways on to the before and afters!!

Spring Mini Sessions

It's time for Spring mini sessions!!! I'm going to be doing them a little early this year due to the fact that I will be on maternity leave May & June!

Mini sessions will be exactally 30 minutes in length and you are welcome to book a single or double session. Sessions are $125 and will be held on March 24th

How does a mini session differ from a full session?

Mini sessions are conducted at a specific location and are thirty minutes in length.

All sessions include an online proofing gallery.

What is the cost of a mini session?
The cost of a weekend mini session is $125, or you may book a double session for $195. The session fee is due at the time of booking and payable by Cash, Check or Credit Card

How do I sign up for a mini session?

What if it rains or the weather is bad on the day of our mini session?
In case of inclement weather, mini photo sessions will be held on our scheduled rain date

Can I get a map to the mini session?
A map along with other information for the session will be emailed to you after your session has been booked and paid for.

AFTER THE SHOOT

How do I view and purchase my photos?
You will receive an email 2-3 weeks after your session notifying you that your images are ready to be viewed. A link will be provided which will enable you to view and purchase your images online. The email will contain the password to your gallery as well as a coupon code for 10% off that you can share with your friends and family!

How many images will I get to choose from?
Sessions will include 25 fully edited hi-res images on a CD.

Do I get the copyright to the images?
You will recieve a print release that will allow you to print images as you like as well as upload images to facebook, blogs etc.However the images are still in my copyright and are NOT allowed to be altered by re-editing the images or cropping in any way! Printing color images to B&W is ok.

Week 1

For the first week of my group P52 we did either a traditional self portrait or a self portrait through an item. I was tempted to take a picture of a code red mt dew bottle and call it a day but since I hardly ever take pictures of myself I stuck to the traditional. Here are the group image for this week!

Project 52

Alright, so last year I started this venture on my own, then I joined a group, which ended half way through the year and I just never started back on my own. This year is going to be SO different! Starting with, I'm asking all of YOU to join in with me! You don't have to send a picture every week {although I hope you'll try to!} This is a fun way to start to think outside the box, to push yourself and of course to improve! You don't have to be a professional, you just have to enjoy photography!
I'll be sending out a Theme each Monday and you images will need to be mailed to info@photobyashlee.com by that Saturday with P52 in the subject line. The images will be posted on Monday when I give out the new theme!
If you are interested please send me an email letting me know so that I can get you on the mailing list and you can start getting the assignments! Don't forget to invite your friends to get in on the fun!!

With that said, there are a few rules...

1. Images submitted MUST follow that weeks theme

2. You must own the copyright to images that you submint

3. NO nudity!!

4. Images must be taken during that week! No digging up old photos, that defeats the point!

I love fall, its my favorite time of the year! There is something about the crisp air and fall colors that just get me every year! We were lucky to get these pictures just a few days before the cold front came in and ruined the colors up Nephi canyon! This family was wonderful to work with and I had such a great time spending the evening with them!

I've been a bad blogger, but thats nothing new right?! I kind of feel like i'm on social media overload and I'm still trying to come up with a way to keep on top of it all!

I shot this family last week at one of my mini sessions and I love it! I have 10 sessions this weekend so you can be sure that there will be a HUGE preview post up sometime on Sunday night! I've known this mom since I was a kid but I haven't seen her in years and it was great to chat a little during her session! Enjoy :)

Now that you have the parent trap song stuck in your head, who wants to have a photo get together?! I know I do, there are so many of us that chat via facebook or emails or blogs but never actually get to meet in real life, so lets change that! I'm putting together a little photography get together in Moab on October 22nd {thats in ONE MONTH} So mark it on your calendars and let me know if you're interested! I'm hoping to get a list of everyone that wants to come by the 15th so we can figure out carpool options! This is NOT a workshop and there will be no one person teaching everyone else, this is a fun get together for us to bring our cameras and laugh and learn from everyone! The only cost is whatever its going to cost you to get there!

We'll be meeting in the morning around 10am for breakfast at Dennys for those that want, if not then you can meet us around 11:30am in the parking lot at Dennys when we'll be going on location with a few models and probably stay there for a few hours, we'll grab some lunch and then head into Arches National Park until sunset and finish with an optional dinner! Plan on spending a full day, but if you can only come for half still come!

My brother called me a couple of weeks ago with this idea he had, he wanted to dress up his littlest boy to look like my grandpa in an old picture we have of him and recreate the image. So I found a pair of overalls at DI used my old straw hat and went and found a tractor {well Tanya found me the the tractor and it was perfect!} my brother described the "Biba" was standing next to the back wheel of the tractor and that it was the kind that had the big wheel in the back and the small wheel in the front so I took the shot and thought we were golden. Then last night my brother sent me a picture message of the image with the caption "opps, not sure why I thought he was by a tractor!" lol turns out he was just standing next to a brick wall! There isn't even a tractor in the picture at all!

He wanted to use the tractor pictures anyway and I was thrilled because I absolutely LOVE how they turned out! My only problem is that I can't decide if I like the color, the vintage or the b&w set the best, that's where you come in, let me know what ones you love most!

I am so excited to finally share these bridals! Annie and I have been friends since the 7th grade and I was SO excited for her when she told me she was getting married! You are going to make an awesome wife, and Eric is a lucky man to have you!! Annie had her reception at Sleepy Ridge Golf Course in Orem so we did her bridals there as well and man is that place beautiful! Congratulations again!!

I seriously love this little girl! Her mom and I go way back, I'm talking since we were 3! These guys were my first wedding I ever shot {still on film!} and now I am honored to take their family pictures each year! Dallas you are growing up way to fast!
